Cupcake, have you thought what you're going to do for Laila's Bday? I'm not sure what we'll do for Lexie's yet. My DD1 used to do the really high pitched squeal too as a baby, we'd get so many looks when we were out & about. She'd especially do it when excited.

OMG the squeal. My DD has started doing that. It drives me nuts. I hope she grows out of it.

1st birthday's are just around the corner. As much as I don't want to wish the time away, I've already started 'organising' it. Well, just the cake & venue. My Aunty is a cake decorator and you can't go past the park! lol.

Hey ladies thought i would stop being so slack and get back into chatting with my baby buddies

    How are all your bubbas?

My DD is great, getting so clever. She is crawling, sitting up, can pull herself up onto things. She calls me "um" and says dadda and nan. She loves to sing and babble like crazy. She does this humping/dancing thing when she is excited. She waves goodbye, so you say bye and she puts her hand up its so cute. And she has 4 teeth! bottom 2 and top 2. I am a very proud mummy.

She is however a tantrum thrower and will throw tantys if she cant do what she wants to do. She also growls if she gets told off for doing things shes not allowed to, like now she is playing with daddys centre speaker LOL

She is getting SO big!! She is already in 0's and a size 3 foot. Shes still a baldy so hopefully she gets some hair soon. I am considering getting her ears peirced soon.

I read someone asked about birthdays. I have no idea what to do for hers. Id love to have one huge do but with me not talking to one of DP's sisters it makes that hard. Its a shame that we couldnt be civil for one day but id end up saying something and ruining the whole day for DD. I am however having a cake smash (having a cake specifically for her to go absolute nuts with and we'll take photos )

I know nearly Easter already! We are actually going on our first long car trip with DD - a 10hr drive down south. Any suggestions on how to keep her entertained?

    Hi Girls,

Wow it has been very, very quiet, guess we're all busy with our bubbas. How has everyone been? Lexie is 10mths old today, I'm devastated that she is growing so quickly, she is our last bub so I wish the time would slow down a bit. Anyone pregnant again or thinking of having another bub anytime soon?

We're away at the moment for the Easter long weekend. The weather is gorgeous and we are getting plenty of swimming in. Lexie is loving the water. She's such a happy baby!

Better go, hopefully some of you will pop back in here.

    Have a great Easter!!!

    Hi Girls!
Where does the time go? Can't believe our bubs are well on the way to 1!
Ted is going really well. 9 months tomorrow. No teeth yet! He has developed some dreadful sleeping habits, though. Somewhere along the way he stopped sleeping in his cot. Now he sleeps in the pram during the day (2x 1.5 hr sleeps - so I can't complain!). I have to feed him to sleep of an evening to get him in his cot and then he keeps waking til I bring him into the bed with me for the rest of the night. I end up on the fold out couch (SO uncomfortable) because DS1 usually climbs in too! Ted then feeds quite regularly through the night (as opposed to day time - a couple of sucks and he's done. Hardly worth it!). As a result I am quite drained (and sore from the stupid fold out couch - my poor old bones can't cope with those dodgy springs!) Tried to get tough and do some controlled crying, but lasted an hour. We go away in 3 weeks, so will try to sort things out once we're back. Any advice would be welcome!!
Other than that, not much else to report.
Rach - did I notice something exciting on your ticker??!!
    Happy Easter everyone xo

Oooh Queg, I went racing to check out Rach's sig, looks like she's baking another bub. A BIG congrats Rach if you're reading this!!!

Queg, no advice on Teds sleep sorry! Hopefully it is just a phase & you're not on the sofa bed forever.

Jlk, glad to hear things are well. Hopefully things with your DH'a diabetes improve & you can have one more bub.

Gotta go, in the middle of cooking dinner. DD2 is very sooky & burning up, hope she's not getting sick.

Cupcake, I cant believe Laila is walking, our bubs are growing so quickly hey. Lexie isnt walking but I don't think she will until after she turns one coz thats when both our other two girls started walking. Hope you managed to get some sleep last night! I stopped breastfeeding Lexie when she was almost 7 mths but I slowly weaned her and was lucky enough for her not to miss the breastfeeding.

I've started planning Lexie's first birthday. We are getting her christened on the same day then after her christening we will be having her birthday party. Ive still got to decide on what decorations I want and the invitations yet. Her birthday is less than 2 months away so time will go quickly.....Im devastated that my girls are growing so quickly. DD1 turns 6 in a couple of weeks.

I went & sussed out the local park yesterday (well one of them) it's a pretty awesome park, have to get there early to get a table tho it's pretty popular!

No idea on decorations or anything but I have 3 months...

L won't take a bottle so makes it hard to wean!

Will she take formula or ebm in a sippy cup? Even the sippy cups that have the straws? I can't offer any other advice sorry

She doesn't suck from straws yet & when I try her on water from sippy cups she thinks it's fun to suck it & spit it out lol. Haven't tried formula tho. Maybe I need to experiment!

I know what you mean about sucking water & spitting it out, lexie does it too. I give her water everyday but not sure how much she actually swallows coz I'm sure she spits most of it out. And she always ends up with wet clothes from spitting it everywhere. Hopefully you have better luck on formula.

Yes we are having another babeeeee!!!! I really need to get in and check this thread more often – I didn’t realise people were still posting. Due date is the 11 December, I’m 10 ½ weeks so only a few more weeks until the NT scan. We have a scan with my OB tomorrow to check progress – fingers crossed all is still going well.

Sounds like all our little (or not so little) babes are doing great! Hudson is fantastic, although we had a really rough weekend with his teething. His first top tooth has come through, so makes 3 now. He’s still speed crawling around, pulls himself into standing and walks along furniture but doesn’t seem too interested in walking yet. We’re starting to encourage him but as long as he’s walking by the time the new baby arrives I’ll be happy.

Amy – how exciting that Laila is walking already. God she was born ready wasn’t she, such a little go getter. No tips on weaning sorry, H weaned easily at 7 months. I think it upset me more than him!

Quegsley – I hope your nights get easier soon, the night waking is so hard. H still stirs most nights, we have at least one shocker a week and he wakes at the crack of dawn most days. I’d be happy if he would just sleep till 6am for me.

Leigh – thanks for the congrats, it is both exciting and scary. Not sure how we’ll cope with having two so close together, there’s only a 17 month gap. Any tips?

We’ll have to start thinking about H’s birthday soon, probably just a bbq in the park. I am looking forward to making his cake! Could be interesting….

    Take care everyone xo
