Belle - I kinda know how you feel, everybody says Harlee is 'easy' and I am so 'patient' and Im so good at being a mother. But the amount of times I've burst into tears when shes crying during the night, I sometimes feel like the worst mum in the world because I have no idea what Im doing, or why she is crying, I think maybe she is really sick and Im bad for not taking her to the doctors.:( And she stopped breathing the other day and I had no idea what to do, so I ran over to the neighbours. But then I had my parents and the inlaws telling me I should have just called 000 straight away, that made me feel like I did the wrong thing. AGAIN :( :(
Dan - My BMI is 30, its just a stupid number. try not to think about it. I have been getting back into my work out dvd's and eating no sugar at all. Well the no sugar isnt happening, but I maybe have it once a week. I am also eating veges in every meal, its tastier and makes me feel better. And as a 'treat' I will have a berry smoothie or something healthy that I like :D Ebay have some heart rate monitors for pretty cheap (less than $20), I just bought one so I can make sure I get a good work out. Im trying to push myself, but its hard. Ive spent quite a bit on ozsale in the last few months and everything is a tad small for me, so that is what is giving me motivation to eat better and excersize. I just want to fit into my clothes!
cmar - Harlee has chunky legs., so the pockets work well for her! We had some woddlebots ones and she grew out of them fast! They are really small around the legs! Yeah, the daddledoo are quite large around the legs too for Harlee, so not sure when it will fit her! My fitteds are going a bit funky, cant see them going through another baby, but they were the cheap ones and they are great for during the day when she wees like a tap.
Mar + Dan - I'll FB you about sunday!
Cuddles all round,
-
belle: sweets if people make comments about you have an 'easy baby' tell them that P's easy 'cus he knows he's loved. as for issues popping up - if it helps PM me. i'm happy to listen and my past isn't sqeaky clean. so i may be able to help you out/talk you though things.
'Mar: thanks for the PM hun
poopie: i might look into one of them. the only issue i have is 'working out' seeing as Dj isn't sleeping during the day - and DH can't 'deal' with both boys yet (i get out on my own when Vic is asleep) so i guess its a case of walking more or something. but i'm cutting out alot of sugar and i'm doing a shop today with healthy things only. and i may even make some muffins up - with apples and bran and oats too..
AFM: feeling a little better today. but worse i have a bloody cold :wall: annoying as anything. but i'll be fine in another 24 hours. DH is getting over it which is good. i told DH that i want to lose weight - and that i was worried that my mum would pick at me (she's good at that) and he said "she starts on that, i'll have a word to her. you're trying to better your self, on your own. something she couldn't do" (she had stomic banding done as she failed to lose weight...)
well i better go as we're all heading down the shops and its not raining LOL! Ohh and my first lot of baby behinds will be here in 2-3 days (they emailed me and said sorry for the delay!!)
-
My BMI is 22 ... it should be about 19. BMI doesn't mean much. I'm still 2 clothing sizes and 9kg above where I should be.
I think I have an easy baby despite him waking up every 2 hours - I just schmop him on the boob and go back to sleep, so I'm not sleep deprived at all :) He's a lovely baby.
The other half is, to quote the toddler, at the obsital today. You go to the obsital, stay in a bed. Stay stay stay. The end! When I left him he was in a backless gown with a hot pack between his legs lol ... it is SUCH a nice change seeing him getting asked when he last pooped and having to hand over jars of wee and having nurses look at HIS bits
-
belle:  how good ur baby is has nothing to do with how u feel in yourself. now matter how 'good' a baby is, its still a baby and a lot of work!! like poopie said, i have spent a countless amount of time crying for no apparent reason!!! but i hope the counselling helps and those issues that have resurfaced sort themselves out. im sending u lotsa happy vibes!! its a bugger u cant come this time, u should definately come down next time, we will be in melb again after xmas and until after new year.
poopie: mmm are they those fitteds from ebay? i think nxt time i will be getting off my bum and making my own, since they arent that difficult to make.
BBL to finish up, boobies r needed :)
-
Belle - so proud of you for admitting you are struggling despite having a good baby boy. that's the first step... hope you get it sorted and can enjoy your time with Parker.
Hello Cmar, Dan, Elf and Poopie! Is that all of us now? Does anyone else still come visit this thread?
AFM - omg I have been super busy. Trying to fit as much stuff in as possible before I go back to work next week. starting to get sad about going back to work and not spending as much time with L, but I'm also quite excited about getting back to it as well.
L is rolling over front to back like a champ! He's talking and smiling lots, recognises DH and gives him big smiles when he sees him. Still getting up to do an early early morning feed, but I'm not too sleep deprived cos it only takes 15 mins and he's back down again.
When is everyone thinking about starting solids? I'm thinking of not starting L on solids until after we come back from NZ. He'll be just over 6 months old. I hope he doesn't get too hungry in the meantime. He's growing like a weed. He's 6.52kg and 64cm long. Not a little bubba anymore!
Also, another friend of mine on Belly Belly has to be induced tomorrow, so excited for her. We started off together on the "Pre TTC Chatter" thread and I fell PG in October and She fell PG in February after a miscarriage. So excited for her!
How is everyone doing with Breastfeeding? have some of you combined FF with BF or are some of you just on Formula?? I'm thinking I might have to supplement with formula once I go back to work, especially if I'm travelling interstate...
Lots of Love,
Erica xx

There arent many of us hey!? hehe, not a bad thing :)
We're not planning on introducing solids till after 6 months, when Harlee shows an interest I guess. There was a discussion on circle of mums on facebook about starting solids (it is american based) but alot of them were saying they were giving rice cereal at 2 weeks old!! I couldnt beleive that people would do that, they were all saying 'oh it makes them sleep through the night' and 'they are hungry for more than just milk' UNbelievable! Good luck to your friend! So exciting!!
cmar - Yup, they are from ebay. Im looking at getting a dryer as they are quite crunchy from the sun drying and heater drying too. But for only 3 months of use, they are looking very sad! I made 2 nappies and now I appreciate the wahm ones. They are waaaaay too hard to make for me! hehe, I just bought 3 trissy tots nappies as I was on their site as soon as a stocking started and I didnt realise so I bought a few things!

We got the lump weighed/measured today. 6.6kg and 62cm long. He's put on a tonne of weight (I did notice, he dropped the long sleep at night and has been eating hourly), so he's almost spherical. Which does mean his 00 clothes fit much better :)
Pretty funny how two skinny little people manage to create great lumping fat babies. DD#2 was on the 90th percentile for weight at one stage :o
The other half had his vas yesterday and is still alive to tell the tale. Just a bit sore.

erica: I'm fully b/fing Mr Vic. i few times i've thought about formular, but i just cant do it. mind you my darling (and i dont normaly mind him lol) father in law asked on monday night when i saw feeding DJ his dinner if i had a bottle he could give vic as vic was grizzleing about not being fed too :o which kinda threw me a tad - seeing as i'd just fed the blighter 20mins before hand! as for solids we'll see what happens around 6 months. i'll be going strait to finger foods this time. with DJ we spoon fed due to the refux, and started at 5.2 months with the 'hope' it'd ease it. pfft. it did nothing! i say go with the flow! as for comping with formular - you may need to. or you could try and express after each feed - and build up some EBM at home.
poopie: TWO FRIGGIN MONTHS?!?! lemme at them! *throws arms around wildly* i have massive issues with people and the whole 'sleeping though' idea. its crud (for most bubs IYKWIM?) at that age. hell dj "slept though" last night. 11:10pm til 5:30am! thats 5 hours strait. sleeping though. 12 hours. haha. i think he's done that ohh three times. twice was while he was sick!
dryers are good. when DH and I moved into our house the women who lived here before us left us hers, we assume thinking it was broken. but it wasn't. dad just bought a new belt for the back of it and bam it works (really well!)
AFM: been a little nutty in the house. DH has had some issues with his stomach the last few weeks (read on and off for as long as i've known him) and he finely went to the GP about it (well its the third time) and he gets to have a gastro-thingy mah whatsit. where they stick a camra into your belly. and DJ has been teething like a champ. (i've been up since 5:30. ) but vic is going really well. he's sleeping like a champ.
hope every one is having a good day!

Poop -OMG I know those American "Mommies" are just NUTTERS! Starting rice cereal so young? No wonder they have an obesity epidemic over there. I tend to just read those american based boards rather than participate. Good to get some tips and ideas but I usually don't bother posting back.. they get so narky and biatchy at each other for the smallest things! Crazy! I'm going to start L straight on Pureed veg once I start him on solids. There is absolutely no need for rice cereal. it's just a simple starch/carbohydrate. Better to have foods with nutrients in them like avocado, sweet potato. DH bought me a gorgeous woman's weekly cookbook "happy baby cook book" which has given me all the recipes for starting them on purees and then moves through to the more solid foods. It's great!
Dansta - My DH had to have a colonoscopy (camera up the botty) cos he was having bowel problems. It wasn't fun, but glad we had it done as DH has history of bowel probs in his family. Hope things settle down with DJ and his teething. I've been checking L's bottom gums to see if I can see anything. He's got this obsession with his hands in his mouth and TONNES of drooling at the moment... not sure if that's a sign as he doesn't seem uncomfortable or in pain but I wouldn't have a clue! And yeah, I've got about a weeks worth of BM in the freezer. I've got a slight oversupply at the moment so I'm able to express twice a day about 50-100mL each time as well as feed L so I'm hoping that when I start work I can continue to provide BM to L and have a good stash in the freezer for when I travel. I'm even thinking I might buy a small esky so I can pump while I'm away and the take it back with me. I'll have to be SUPER organised!
Elf - HOOLEY DOOLEY! You're little monkey isn't so little anymore! The youngest of the group and probably the fattest! You've got some super boobie juice there !! And yay for your DH getting the snip! L fits into size 00 easily now. I saw a girlfriend of mine yesterday who has a 10 week old bubba and he is a midget compared to L!! But L isn't fat (other than his chunky fat thighs that I want to Nom Nom all the time!!), he's just BIG.
AFM - off to see my mummy for lunch today. She just loves her grandchild to bits and loves spending time with him. Gives me a chance to relax a little cos I know he's in good hands with her (she's a midwife! :)).
I'm doing the 12 week body transformation challenge and have lost 2.2kg in 2 weeks. Very happy! Am now back at the gym and working really hard to get this final preggo weight off. Looks like it's working! Have been going to Zumba classes, SO MUCH FUN! It has been so nice to be able to exercise properly without having to carry around a big belly!
Who misses being pregnant?? I have to admit... I do! Already starting to think about bubba number 2. Would love a little girl this time.. already started thinking of potential names! *eek* somebody slap me!! hehe
Have a great day ladies! 5 more sleeps til I'm back at work!!!

Also, was just thinking.. it would be so cool to all meet up one day when our bubbas are a bit older. We'd go to the place where there are the majority of us.. which I believe is Melbourne or Sydney?? Where is everyone from?
Maybe we could look at a potential date say at the end of next year when our bubbas are 18 months old.
Let me know what you all think and if anyone is interested. I know it's expensive with flights and stuff, but at least if we travel when our bubbas are under 2 we can take them for free :)

I know me and poopie are in Melb. 'mar is in SA and 'elf is SA. sas (if still around) is out west aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand belle i think maybe syd?
I know DH wants to go up to syd/SA in the next 12 or so months as in syd a friend of his mums has cancer and he'd love for her to meet our boys before she passes. and SA to see his (dads) cousin. who i love to bits, he told me he loved me last time we talked on the phone (he was rather drunk) but he's a good bloke and *if* we have a third and its a boy we'd be naming him after him as he never had kids and DH loved him growing up!
Vic is going good. sleeping fairly well. but he cluster feeds from 6:30pm until 10:30 normaly. but he's asleep now, so hopefully he'll wake up soon for a feed. if not it'll be an interesting nights sleep with him!
I'm getting excited about sunday too!
-
Wow Dan wat a memory! Mr c does cluster feeds about that time AM which is nice cos I just lie in bed with him.
A big meet up sounds good to me, I'm easy with wherever, I have family EVERYWHERE!
Erica- nice work, keep that up & U'll b rid of ur baby weight in no time!!
Mr c is now 6.12kgs :D u wouldn't no it looking at him cos he's not THAT chubby but he's now 66cms long as well. Looks like he will be taking after his daddy in the height department!!
OMG we had a trip to royal children's today, Mr c decided to take a chunk out of his cornea (sp?) With his fingernail, big enough to see with the normally!! Understandably he was distraught and do is on 4 hourly paracetamol and antibiotic cream for the nxt few days... the paracetamol seems to wear off after about 2.5 hrs, they said to give him baby nurafen if the paracetamol doesn't work but I'm nor too keen on that... thankfully apparently it should b all healed within 72 hours though. Not how we were planning on spending the 1st day of our hold but oh well!!
-
OMG Cmar! I hope Mr C is OK! I am petreified L is going to do the same, but yesterday I was trying to cut his nails with those darn baby clippers and I took a chunk out of the top of his finger, made him bleed and cry... and then I cried! I'm such a sook! But at least he has short fingernails now!
OK GTG, L is up and hungry!

Hello BB's!
Hope you're all having a great weekend (and long weekend for us NSWers!).
So I'm back at work in 2 more sleeps. *sigh* starting to dread it a little bit. Got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I think what is stressing me our is the breastfeeding thing and pumping at work etc. I guess I'll know fairly quickly if this new company that I am working for will be baby/mummy friendly.
I've started taking fenugreek to boost my supply - not that I have an issue at the moment - but I want an oversupply so I can express and store milk every day. So far it seems to be working. Boobies are extra full in the morning and I'm managing to express 100mL / day on top of what I am feeding L. I've got around 1 week's worth of mil (at 6 feeds per day).
We've ordered our christening invitiations. Christening date is set for 12/12. DH bought L a super cute baby sized kilt to wear, with a white shirt and socks and shoes. OMG I just wanted to smoosh him when I saw him in it before! :)

Hi Mummies!
Well, it's back to work for me tomorrow. :( Can't believe how quickly it's come around. It felt like only yesterday that I had accepted the job saying that I could start in october knowing I still had 6 weeks to go, and now it's here already!
Wish me luck! I'll let you know how I get on.

I went back to work at 7 months with DD#1. That was a nice length of time. Don't think I could do 3 months :(
Today at the show there were lots of other babies. One looked about the same size as DS so I asked how old she was. 12 months!!!!! She was only half a kilo heavier than him! Turns out she is in the 3rd percentile, my spherical lump is 75th. And he was 000 width a few weeks ago and 00 length .. now he's just 00 all over. I fear to drop him lest he rolls away (or worse, bounces away  )

I was trying to take a photo of him and the bigger one insisted on joining in. He has several chins ...

erica: aww :( im sure it'll work out. you've gotta do whats best by your family.
AFM: had a blast yesterday dispite my GPS hateing me. i ended up in bloody woopwoop...and only worked out how to get 'home' by following the signs saying 'knox' and i only knew that thanks to DH's LOVE of rare spares (car parts) vic slept the whole way, then my mum, dad aunt and uncle came over for a BBQ and drinks. which was nice. last time i saw them was my 21st.
oo gotta go boobies are needed!
