ok im starting feel like with balancing house work kids and the best behaved just cuddly Chakotay...thinking i have bitten off more than i can chew. Beyond frustrated with ppl not doing things properly and my free few minutes i have to go fix it up and i miss out on eating or drinking then. Thats my warn out mini vent, hope ur all well

Squid, I hear you!! DS has seemed to formed the opinion that because mum is home she can pick up the slack and he can be let off doing his chores. Mind you he is a wonderful kid, he just needs a "gentle" reminder (or maybe a kick up the bum). He turned 15 today (he's at cadets on a camp at the moment but he'll be home in a couple of hours).

I really can't wait til DH gets home ... only 40 sleeps to go! I'm starting to struggle with the little day to day things that need doing. I'm feeling a little isolated and haven't heard at all from DH's family (my family are all over in the East). I was just talking to my mum and asked if she would fancy popping over to babysit so I could have a couple of hours of undisturbed sleep. Oh well, only 12 more days and she'll be here. I sleep crappy anyway with DH away so add a very hungry baby to the mix and I don't sleep at all.

Oh dear, I'm rambling.....

Better go rescue DS's birthday cake out of the oven.

Hi all,

Just joining you all in this group. Jeremy was born a week ago today - and let's just say I'm a lot more comfortable than I was this time last week!

So glad you're all going well and that Allboys' little one has a clean bill of health now. I would have been in tears as well!

Cass - I take my hat off to you - the fact that you are cooking is incredible - you are one strong woman! Hang in there - not long to go now.

We're going ok - I am having to full-time express so it's been a challenge working that into the routine. I find visitors really stuff up my day because I can't express in front of them (whereas I might have fed in front of them with a cover). It mucks up my expressing routine - I didn't get enough in yesterday. My mum has been amazing though and is giving up heaps of her time to be here and do housework, help with baby and whatever else needs doing. DH is also amazing and doing lots of nappy changes, feeding etc.

I'm really struggling with visitors. It's lovely that people want to come but I'm recovering from a caesar and hardly getting any rest. My back is agony and we keep running out of time for DH to give me a massage. Also, they are staying a really long time which makes things harder.

I think I'm just going to have to put my foot down and ban visitors for a few days while I recover.
