Naomi, we've had massive settling issues with E lately too - she just doesn't seem to want to be away from us - and is waking EVERY sleep cycle through the day sleeps - and probably every 3 hours at night. thankfully, DH is able to get her to settle during the day - at night, she seems to want me, but day time she'll accept him. he is still struggling to decipher the difference between her "don't leave me i don't want to go to sleep" whingy cry, and her full on "pick me up, i'm losing it" distressed cry - but he's getting better. she actually seems to settle better for him during the day than me - maybe cos she has started to get the milk association to sleep happening. we know she has been teething (poor poppet has bumps where her eye teeth are - seems that is where she is chewing on things, so i may have a little vampire soon!) and i've found putting teething stuff on her gums 10 minutes or so before we take her off to bed is helping... wish i could suggest something more definite to help - we're just running on trial and error! part of our issues is my AF returning too i think - not loving that idea at all!
Vic - not sure if i've mentioned it before - E's head is above the 97th percentile, her weight and length between 25 and 50th - so she has a big head! no one has said anything about it. she's been like that since birth (which may explain why the little boofa got stuck on the way out!) the paed was happy with her. i completely understand getting CJ tested - it's just frustrating that they almost frighten you with their comments sometimes!
am not feeling too hot still - have been able to stop the cold meds - but still a bit congested and it's dragging me down. DH got up this morning when E woke up, laid with us while i fed her in bed, then brought her to the other end of the house and let me sleep another hour! yay!! then he bought her up to wake me (i'd told him half an hour but i'm not complaining) - i rolled over when she patted me on the side and was laying bare chested in bed - she got so excited - and decided to self serve! dropped off DH's leg til she was on her knees beside me - and helped herself lol. the boob has been the only thing that has helped encourage her to try crawling too - i think the big head factor is working against her lol - she seems to put her head down, bum up - and push forward - but she is a bit blase about most things - she'll only do it on the bed to get to boob!
