Thanks Vic, So far - NOT the greatest start to our new routine - Bailey woke at 4am!!! LMFAO so much for trying to get him to sleep longer!! I tried EVERYTHING to get him back to sleep WITHOUT a bottle but by 530am I gave in and gave him one, I cant expect a baby to go completely cold turkey. I went back to sleep as DH got up with him and when I awoke at 8am they were both still awake - so by the time I got him down for a sleep, Bailey had gone 4.5 hours between waking and his morning sleep - eeeeeek, I may pay for that later in the day!! Bailey eats a massive amount of food now, he really doesn't NEED a bottle at night (although he still WANTS one 50% of the time). On the flip side I did keep him up until almost 7pm last night.

Honestly, I think her routines are too rigid, so only using them as a guide to compliment what I am already doing, I've always had a flexible routine with Bailey anyway eg to accomodate our swimming lessons etc and so I am not housebound, but if I can just move it all forward a few hours............... will keep plugging away ......... I do like her idea of pushing the morning sleep a bit later Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I wouldn't be able to follow her philosophies exactly as some parts of it are completely at odds which how I want to parent, but I'm not against stealing a bit of everyones ideas and mould it to suit us. Am going out shopping later so will have a look for NCSS and the Pinky McKay book and have a flick through before I decide to buy (I borrowed the SOS from a GF as I am a cheapskate LOL)

SOLIDS - we aren't doing the BLS, I am just following the traditional puree, then lumps, then finger food transition kinda deal - we are currently JUST starting the finger food part - rusks and fingers of toast etc, Bailey seems to be doing really well, other than that he is on lumpy food and he absolutely scoffs it down and doesn't waste a thing (Just like his mother ). Hilariously he gets very excited at solids meal times, I should video it, pure comedy gold!
