LOL, it was very cute, particularly cause she can't really pronounce her 'g's properly yet - it was more like, 'dorgeous'. LOL!
What a fabulous night you had! 7 til 6 is indeed pretty damn awesome. Great about the sleeping bag! I wonder if I should try that with Phoebs. Her day sleeps are touch and go. Since we've lost that third sleep she's been sleeping usually one 1.5 hour sleep and one 40 min - 1.5 hour sleep, but some days she is just off and only has two catnaps of 20-40 mins. Frustrating! But maybe if I put her in her bag...
Did you get Sleeping Like a Baby? I should have a read of that one. Had a flick through Parenting by Heart but that was aaaaaages ago. Not sure that Pinky would approve of all my methods either - I don't think I'm a particularly gentle parent. But it's like you say, the books are there to give us ideas and support us, not tell us what to do.
I'm leaving Phoebe for the longest time ever this morning. Going to do the cleaning for DH's work and Mum's going to have her for me for half a day or so. I'm a bit nervous - not for me as much as for Mum. LOL! Not sure how she's going to go getting Phoebe to sleep. But she's usually happy just to have someone cuddle her and carry her around, so I think Mum's arms will get a decent work-out.
Amy - Ooooooh - I bet you will be so excited to see Phoebe when you have finished! When ever I leave Bailey I am always bursting to get home and see him, I think I'll be rushing out the door at work soooo quickly LOL, must be careful not to get a speeding fine on the way home..... LOL! And yes, it was 'Sleeping Like a Baby' that I bought!
Well last night was even better - Bailey slept 7pm to 630am with a wake up at 5am - I chucked some teething gel in his gob as his second tooth appears to be coming through and he went back to sleep. Awesome! We are going to Perth for 4 days this Thursday (to see my little brother Simon) and Perth is 2.5 hours behind - that will be interesting, as Bailey will probably be awake 4am Perth time LOL
Bailey is obsessed with trucks and cars - typical boy! Mum gave him a mega blocks truck for chrissie and he has been playing with it constantly. I dug up some other cars that I had that I thought he was a bit young for and he is in love with them hehehehehehe
Krystie - I bought one of those reject shop letter play mats yesterday for our playroom, its awesome - will take a photo later of Bailz on it - seems to be a BB tradition hehehehehehe
E has the letter mat too - got it for Christmas! she loves chewing on the bits and pieces (sigh) - i put them together on the floor randomly the other day for her - and when i looked later (without a baby in the way) i'd come VERY close to putting a naughty word in there... ooops! i was just looking at colors so they weren't together - didn't look at the letters!
Amy - the "dorgeous" comment would have been so cute!
AFU - i had a night of being really unwell the other night and am really struggling now so not a lot to update - daddy is on bubba duty for the moment!
Hey ladies need some help so sorry to make this all about me
I can't get Aaron to bed before 11.00pm every night and it is slightly driving me nuts!!
I know I don't work but still him going to bed for final sleep is taking its toll on me.
We don't have a strict routine but a have put below how our day sort of works so if anyone has any other suggestions that would be great.
Mind you next week he will decide to sleep at 9pm again

Sleeps till morning so approx 8-9 hours
So is this too many sleeps?? He actually wants to go to bed rubs his eyes, pulls his ears gets cranky?????
Again sorry to make this all about me, and PROMISE to catch up with everyone very soon![]()
Nicole, I just wanted to sy I am jealous of you 8-9 hours sleep!! haha
Personally, At the 8amish feed, I would be keeping your little one up for 2 hours. I think that would change the rest of the days sleeps for you and then you could probably have him in bed by 8pmish.
I've just changed DD's sleeping routine to being awake for 2 hours in between day sleeps and it's working quite well. SHe doesn't do full nights though, still waking at least twice a night most nights.
Hi girls!!!!
BRB for more persies!
Yeah that might work, but to be honest I am a little selfish
I find that when Aaron has this sleep I can get so much done, have my shower coffee hot not warm or cold, washing, tidy up FB, BB
But I think he really enjoys this sleep as he is so happy to go back to bed after his first feed.
Mind you it couldn't hurt to give it a go![]()
i was going to suggest the same hun - most babies have around 10 awake hours a day - if he's getting all his sleep time early in the day, he's going to need more awake time at night. as much as i love E sleeping in the morning so that i can get stuff done, i found getting her up in the morning (we still have a snuggly drink in bed but get up), she goes back down around 2 hours later for her first sleep, sleeps up to 2 hours (which i find is much better for her than 20-60min cat naps), awake for a couple of hours, asleep for about 1.5, awake a couple of hours, maybe a 40 min nap while we organise dinner, awake, dinner, play for a while, then into bed. she wakes around 11 for a feed and bum change, but is back asleep within half an hour. last night she didn't wake until 12...
