Vic - awesome re CJs head, so she just has a big noggin like the rest of us hehehehehe
Nicky - AWESOME question, I some get in a bit of a food rut with Bailey, so hearing what the other bubba's are eating gives me some new ideas - what's Allira's milk and solids day like?
Bailey's is a bit like this atm... (it seems to evolve every few weeks as he develops)
Wake up about 6ish - Bottle then falls back asleep for an hour
7ish - Wake up for the day, Solids at 8am (Either a piece of toast, toasted hot cross buns, porridge or fruit eg peaches)
9ish - morning nap, morning bottle at 11ish
12-1230 - Lunch, usually vegies with grated cheese followed by yoghurt (two courses)
3ish - snack (eg cruskits, watermelon, baby rice crackers)
5pm - Dinner - 2 courses (usually something like tuna mornay, shepards pie or chicken in apricot nectar with pasta), then fruit (occasionally with a bit of custard) for dessert
630pm - Evening bottle and bed, asleep by 7pm
We just dropped his afternoon bottle (3pm) as he was not drinking it and he is now finishing his other bottles so I am making up 180ml now. So only 3x180mls of milk for the day. Not a massive snacker but eats pretty big meals, but like the others, I tend to offer him a taste what I am eating if I think he can handle whatever it is. I am a bit of a nerd in that I have big cook ups every few weeks and freeze a whole heaps of things into ice-cube tray portions (eg veggie medleys, and the dinners as above) and I find this ensures I have a variety ready to go - just gotta chuck them in the microwave and *bang* dinner's ready..... Once Bailey is out of his brace and we are able to use our highchair we plan to have dinner all together (currently we wait till he's asleep and eat about 7-730)
HTH babe
Just had a delicious lamb roast followed by an apple and blackcurrent pie that my Mum brought over this arvo - Yum! I feel the need to open a button or two LOL Better go clean up the kitchen I s'pose!!
