OMG, you've just made me cry in your other thread, and now you have me laughing like a crazy woman on my way to bed! You crack me up!

Oh my goodness!!! I LOOK HOT!!! LMAO!! I didn't think my avi would happen so quickly! The kids look great!! I think she did a FANTASTIC job!! I must say thank you in the avi section!!
Naomi: Just read your letter to Bailey! That's just beautiful hon! He will treasure it one day! I still have the letter I wrote Yasmin when she was 1. Oh and as for co-sleeping...have done it with all my kids. Yasmin was the only one that really slept in the cot. I am just lazy really.....can breastfeed in my sleep relatively undisturbed. I start putting them in their own beds after 1 or so. And no, never had a 5 year old still in bed with me. They got their marching orders after 2 hehe They take up too much room in the bed by then. Can't handle a foot in my face when they are 2 year olds as big as 4 year olds (like Laura and Cara hehe)
BG: Tell Aunt Flo to get stuffed! That is so unfair!! Hope it settles down soon. Glad your face is better too. I've had this weird feeling under the skin in my face since I went into labour with Cara. Nerve thing probably.
Nicky: Sorry that you are sick hon...get well soon!! I've got a funny throat today...feel a bit under the weather...
Bella: I'm sorry to hear about your plans.....if it's any consolation (probably not)...I found the 3 year age gap terrific...one is toilet trained and understands a bit more and helps out heaps with a new baby. You never know what the future holds. No contraceptive is 100% after all.
Krystie: I hope it all works out for you. At least you have a good supply of bm you can give Kyson if you have to pump and dump.
Amy: I'm with you, I'm not going to try and figure out who RAKed me..I'm just going to enjoy it hehe
Vic: Loving the messy photos. How do all you girls clean up after the bls?? hehe I bath miss Cara after dinner every night. I still spoon feed her brekkie though (I'm used to the old school methods, but I have introduced more BLS because of you girls hehe I am surprised how well she chews everything). Most babies are BLS by 9mths. I think they start to be able to spoon feed themselves by 10/11 mths too... Vague memory.
Gosh better get to bed!!!!! And I'm leaking milk!!! OMG.....still! (haven't done that for awhile) At nearly 9mths!!????? Time to change nappy, feed her and snuggle up into bed with her
Naomi - Yes CJ still sleeps on her back (she hasn't yet rolled from back to front, although can seem to twist the whole top half of her body, just doesn't flip the legs), and sleeps just like she die with the brace on, legs splayed and arms up - she doesn't move around hardly at all. Not sure if the not moving much is a result of the brace or her personality but it does make life easier when I hear about babies hitting heads, getting arms and legs stuck in bars etc.
I just did a quick comparison to see if we are chatterboxes... The answer is a big resounding YES!
We are up to thread number 6
Here are what the closest groups to us are at:
April 16-30 ~ 2 threads
May 1-15 ~ 2 threads
June 1-15 ~ 1 thread
June 16 - 30 ~ 1 thread
And just to make you laugh, guess how many threads the group from the year before us is at?
May 16-31 2008 - 6 threads!
We have the same amount of threads as them and they've had a whole extra year to post!
We seriously ROCK! :D
oops  lol i think we talk a lot lol
Doesn't help when you guys are stuck with an absolute LOONEY like me..... lol
i think we've all just bonded well on here and chat heaps!
Agreed - I doubt many other threads love each other enough to meet up from all over the nation LOL
ok , gonna try to post a bit more now - but i'm really struggling today for so many reasons!
Bella - hope J settled for you last night and that you've managed to get some restful sleep. it seems a lot of our bubbas are struggling on the sleep front at the moment. it's hard enough having them unsettled - but when they're in pain and you can only do so much to help, it becomes so much more emotionally draining. i'm hoping you're in a much better headspace this today
K - we're not chatterboxes, we're women with strong communication skills lol. i know we talk heaps in here - but it's all supportive chatter helping us through the rough spots with our bubbas, celebrating our milestones - and just being there for each other. that's the whole point of the thread! no matter what else is going on (J being pg, K going through PGD) - we have our bubbas in common - we started out as relative strangers, became belly/baby buddies - and we're now friends that can share more than just our bubbas!
Cathy - your Av is looking good babe! i've been reading comments about the way Cara is getting around - E is still only commando crawling - but she is getting herself around so we're not phased by it. we figure she'll get there in her own time. she is very switched on in other aspects so i guess we're not seeing it as her being behind the other kidlets - just that she is putting her brain power into other things for now!
Nay - i know E hasn't had a brace, so her situation is different to Bailey and CJ - but wanted to let you know that she doesn't move overnight either! she won't sleep unless she's wrapped (which drives me nuts - but it's part of who she is) - and usually wakes up the same place she went to sleep. if she is unsettled overnight she may wiggle out of the wrap a bit - but in general, she stays exactly where we put her
hi to everyone else! sorry i can't do more persies but DH is asking E if she wants boobie (yeah, cos HE can offer it lol) so i best wrap this up!
we're having a shocker today - last night overnight E's amber necklace came undone. DH put E basically right on the boob (she had to move her mouth less than an inch!) so i couldn't do it back up, so handed it to him to put somewhere safe til morning. he claims i didn't. the fact that i was more awake than him and remember opening his hand and putting the damn thing in there... anyway, it's now missing! can't be found. we've torn our room apart and just can't find it. he is saying i lost it cos he doesn't remember me giving it to him. i have NFI where he's put it, but i'm so frikken angry at him - she is actively teething atm - we NEEEEEEEEED that damn necklace! at the moment, she is wearing my necklace as an anklet - looks very cute, but not sure how effective it's going to be...
must away - she has hiccups and he has AGAIN offered her boobie - ok hun, whip your boob out and let her feed!
Hey Girls!
I put my avi on facebook today hehehe..it look so cute..I just resized it to photo size...didn't think it would look any good. Not too shabby. :)
Cara on my lap right now, keep having to hide the mouse on her!!
BG: It doesn't matter how your bubba gets around, as long as she is moving about. Some babies drag themselves, some use commando crawling, some bum shuffle. It's up to the little individual what they do. All mine seem to have been the same...drag themselves and eventually crawl around 9mths. I'm pretty impressed Cara can sit herself up already, I'm sure my other kids were 9mths before they could do that. But she was able to sit up (as in me PUT her in the sit up position)on her own earlier than the other babies too.
I lost Cara's amber necklace and only found it the other day!! So frustrating. I still don't know where my necklace is!!! I am hopeless at times.
Our threads rock! I think it's awsesome to have such a great bunch of women on here. We can support each other and rant and rave about whatever hehe
Cara seems to be standing up (as in pulling herself up) a bit better today. Building up strength in those chubby little legs hehe She probably doesn't stand up as well as some of the other babies on here that are lighter hehez
Off to bath my girls and bedtime..
I'm such a dope. I just heated up my dinner, sat down on the couch and managed to cover myself, the couch and the floor in my dinner :( I feel so stupid. It's taken me half an hour to clean up! DH is being sweet and has gone out to buy me something to eat. Gosh we get such precious little time to eat and do the things we need to do, then I just add to the list of things to do by creating mess! *sigh*
oh hun! i've done that before - and i was so annoyed with myself! didn't help that DH had cooked and i was famished! and theni had to clean up in between feeding E - so frustrating when things like that happen! i know your takeaway won't taste as good as home cooked dinner - but hope you enjoy it anyway!
i know how that is at chrissy when i was preg i dropped my plate on the floor after i just put everything on it
Krystie - I always feel like crying (and sometimes do) when I do silly things like that - DOH! Bless DH for getting you some takeaway - what a legend! When I was pg I went to shake the 3lt bottle of OJ to distribute the pulp and forgot I had already taken the lid off - too funny (and sticky), me and the kitchen were orange PMSL
BG - We haven't even lowered our cot yet, nor do we put the side up when Bailey is asleep - he cant roll over in the brace so cant get onto his belly to sit himself up, its probably a good thing that CJ, E and Bailz sleep so still, less chance of them waking themselves. I really struggle to put him into the port-a-cot at mums, its so hard to lower him the all the way to the bottom, I swear my back feels like its about to give way and I reckon he's only about 8.5-9kgs at the moment. So glad I dont have to lower our cot just yet, the first night he is brace free though I will be lowering the cot base and raising the sides - he is such a determined little bugger that by that morning he would have worked out to roll, sit up and hoist himself on the bars I reckon!!
Better follow DH to bed, he just did the funniest thing, I couldn't stop laughing for about 5 mins. He was snoozing on the couch with the TV remote in hand, he woke up and must have thought he still had his beer in hand - so tried to drink the remote, it looked SOOOOO funny!! Probably one of those 'had to be there kinda moments' but god it made me laugh till my belly hurt and I had tears of laughter streaming down my cheeks hehehehehehehehe
Nay
x
tehehehe gotta love remote beers! so funny! DH has done it in the past! i get the giggles so bad!
mentioning the PMSL moments - yesterday we had lunch at mums - E got more than a little messy with roast veg all over herself (too hot for a bib) so mum asked if i wanted her to have a quick bath in the kitchen sink - not a problem. anyway, DH had said at the time it sounded like E was dirtying her nappy - mum went to get her out of the highchair and undid her nappy to leave it behind - it was dirty and made more than a bit of mess. i couldn't help her - too busy LMFAO!
on the cot - we haven't dropped the base yet - E doesn't stand up in the cot yet - but we do put the side up whle she sleeps - she will sometimes wake and see we're laying there and wiggle herself out of her wrap and roll onto her belly, then use her dummy to wake us up (imagine a prisoner with a tin cup on the bars!) - she doesn't use the dummy through the night once she's asleep - but the noise is fantastic to wake mummy and daddy up!
really should go to bed - got engrossed watching a doco on stonehenge (yes, i'm getting OLD!)
Hey girls I can't remember wjo was talking about us being chatter boxes but I just noticed that the Feb 2009 bbabies has gone thru 11 threads and the 2006 sept group i think has gone thru 111! OMG that is way faster than we r working at although I do think we will be up to 11 by the end of May and be equal to the Feb guys. Not that it is a competition but it is interesting:)
i know a couple of my friends have said their baby buddies is very stilted - we just seem to have come together nicely
i think the earlier baby buddies went through threads more quickly because threads used to be closed at 180 posts not 350 (ish) as they are now...
having a slightly better day today. E is still waking 2 hourly (at most) overnight with this stupid teething gig. it's just not fun for her - thankfully boob feeding means we can give her a quick feed and back to bed - but yeah, it's doing my head in! she went down for her morning nap ok today - and half hour later my mobile rang - i had left it in the room with her - so it woke her up. happy as a pig in mud she was - she'd had her nap!
some of the groups are a lot bigger and even though i cme halfway through belly buddies there were a lot more ppl to start with
Ahhhh my IL's are doing my head in. Every morning there is about 10 half drunk cups of tea and coffee all over the place, if you don't finish one why make another one! Probably the real reason am annoyed today is because I had said would go to Philip Island for day, they decided against it because have a big day tomorrow and would be a late night, that is totally fine but I kept my calendar free to do something with them because always guilt tripping us about us living on other side of world and them being here to spend time with us (DD in particular) and they have gone to St Kilda for day (no asking if we wanted to come or do anything together) is not even hot today and St Kilda isn't even a great beach! They are beach obsessed I just don't get it, and there thoughts on sun protection drive me mad too. Roll on next week!
Oh Dear - How much longer? Beginning of next week or end? Sympathies to you Vic - you know what they say ..... "House guests are like fish, they start to smell after 3 days" hahahahaha Also, Adam and Eve were the happiest, and the luckiest, couple in the world, because neither of them had In-laws. Yep, I always remember the lamest jokes, but hopefully they put a smile on your face! hahahahahaha. Just be thankful they live the otherside of the world most of the time (although fortunately for me I dont have to stay with mine, nor do they come and stay LOL)
Oh Vic, I feel for you. I hope time passes quickly. Half empty cups of tea...what is with that??? I don't understand people that do that. The only time I have ever left a cuppa half empty/undrunk was when I had to attend to Cara or something..and it's rare that I do that! But then I only have about 2 cups a day..morning coffee and arvo tea.
Hehe I remember years ago being pregnant with Yassie and serving up some spag bog to my stepson and spilling half of it all over the floor! LOL It just slipped off the plate so easy!
Actually managed to vacum without Laura and Cara crying! I asked Laura last night if she wanted to help me today and she did! She freaked out a tiny bit when the vacum went to suck up the couch cover, but I quickly pulled it out again. Let's hope she continues this way. I used to dread vacumming as I knew she's cry and cry and shut herself in a room when I did it (not to mention Cara crying to, as Laura was crying). Brave girls today!
I think Cara was almost trying to put her head on the bed last night and look through her legs...but hard though yet. My babies used to even breastfeed like this sometimes!!! Hilarious! You're lying on bed and your baby is feeding with her bum in the air hehe. I think all my bubs have done this hehe.
Playpen is great! Good when I want to do dishes or whatever and can't see her. She likes it, but gets sick of it sometimes. I give her lots of time to roam still. Got to practise that crawling....will be any day!
Just a quickie - I'll be back for persies tomorrow but I thought some of you might be interested in this link seeing alot of our bubba's are teething, I was interested to read the order the teeth come in as Bailey's 3rd tooth came through today - another bottom one, no top teeth yet
Parenting and Child Health - Health Topics - Teeth - development and teething
Interestingly, The site also says the below - Hmmmmmm
Teething is natural. A lot of research has been done which shows that babies are not more irritable or unwell when teeth come through. Personally I think some babies cope better with teething than others, but I believe from our experience that Bailey IS affected when teething, its clearly obvious to us!
Nay- I'm with you on that one too.
Sorry for no persies. Logan has a cold, and had decided to share it with me, so am not feeling the best.
Naomi: That's a good guide! Thanks for showing us! I know from my 4 kids..all 4 suffered when they teethed. As for ages they got their first tooth...that ranged from 5-11mths. Cara is getting her laterals NOW, so she's got them before she hit 9mths (she's not yet 9mths). Just a rough guide I guess. Looks like we are in for a bit more teething yet. And then the molars hit in the toddler years..oh yay. :(
I showed Cara the video of Cerys clapping before. I said to her "See..Cerys can do it! She's the same age as you" hehe. Though ofcourse all the babies seem to do doing things at all different stages now. When I look back at old video of Laura it reminds me of the things they learn..blowing kisses, indian calls, clapping, head looking through their legs, pointing etc
Am thinking of getting Cara a little outfit like I had made for Laura's 1st birthday.
I also got photos taken of her in it. See link.

I can't find the same lady on ebay anymore though. Maybe I will ask the Karousel Kids lady if she can do one similar. There is a couple of breastfeeding pics on there too..just for you ladies (Laura when she was about 11mths)
Bridg: Sorry to hear you and Logan are unwell...get better soon!!
Cathy - speaking of vacuums - I need another- DOH, another bloody expense! I just vacummed and it kept turning itself off, its so old and feral, it's barely hanging onto its life LOL I think I might have to chuck this one on the credit card, it wont wait till we go back to full pay in July!! DOH, I tend to vacuum when Bailey is asleep, it never worried him until he was about 6 months old! He crys now, mind you he cries when I blow my nose, although I am a bit of a foghorn
Vic - How are you surviving? Only a few more sleeps I hope. LOVE the vid of CJ clapping, so cute!
BG - LOL @ the mental picture of E banging her dummy along the bars prison style! They certainly know how to make a bit of racket to get our attention don't they? If I am in another room and Bailey wants me, he just starts yelling - too funny!! Although I must say it ain't funny at 4am!
Amy - How's work? I guess you'd be wearing your Tuesday top today? PMSL, I haven't tried on my work clothes yet, I might do it this arvo..... I think I am in denial that they might fit!! We'll soon find out!!
Bella - How are the markets going? Hope you are successfully drumming up a bit of business.
Nicky - Re your other post, no way are you a helicopter parent, you are a fab Mummy who clearly knows what is freedom to explore versus dangerous situations that aren't worth risking - I hope you know how fantastic you are :)
KL - How is Kyson's walking progressing? They seem to get the hang of it very quickly! I remember our god son went from wobbly steps to practically running about in a matter of weeks (although he was about 15 months)
Nicole - Re your FB post, I know what you mean about always buying the kidlets new toys etc, it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to resist, I try to be good but every now and then I think 'STUFF IT' and just buy things :) hehehhee
Back soon
The people who did the research finding that babies are no more irritable or unwell during teething can come and look after my baby during the night! He's awake more than he's asleep. Hmmm, actually, I'm the one that's awake more than asleep. Kyson manages to dose as long as I'm patting or rubbing his back, therefore, Mummy=awake and baby=asleep, lol!
Bridg and Nicky, I hope your both feeling better soon. Hang on, it IS Nicky that's feeling under the weather too isn't it? Gosh my brain is total sleep-deprived smoosh right now!
Oh, I'll tell you the one thing that's going to make me totally snap right now? I'll crack it at DH if he says something like "With Kyson sleeping like he is at them moment, is right now a good time to be thinking of another baby?" or something along those lines. He's said something like that in the past and I've explained that Kyson is going to be at least 9 months older by the time a baby comes along. But if he says something now I'll be very quick to point out that it's HIM that has set a deadline for us getting pregnant. He says that we need to be pregnant by his birthday (2nd July). I guess we find out tomorrow if that's even a possibility, but if it's not, then I've got news for him... Because this little Mummy is GOING to get her second baby!
Just realised that my post made it sound like DH doesn't want another baby. I wanted to clarify that although he would have been happy to stop after Kyson, he IS actually looking forward to having another :) I just wish he was happy for another, and another, and another hehehe
Naomi - Kyson's getting better and better at walking. He's now brave enough to attempt it by himself. Up until the last couple of days he would only do it if I stood him up and got him to walk towards me, but now he'll stand up holding furniture, then let go and walk away. Today at playgroup he was standing and holding my hand, then to the other mum's amazement (maybe they didn't believe me that he could walk, hehe) he just let go and took a few steps away :D
You GO girlfriend!! :) I am getting clucky. I starting to think I would love to start trying again after Christmas this year..... Sean has warmed to the idea of a second and although we haven't made any 'definate' decisions, he is talking like we will have one, but the timing thing is undecided. I like Vic's idea of a Winter 2012 baby! I'd like to try naturally before we revisit the IVF path again, you never know, one of DHs good swimmers might get through all the demented ones :) So Yes, I am clucky, not enough to do anything about it any time soon though!
Bridg - Sounds like Logan is teething up a storm - hoping you get some sleep (and you both get some relief!!)
It looks like Bailey's 4th tooth is through, I can't get him to leave his mouth open long enough to confirm, but it seems we might have got 2 teeth in 2 days!!
Gotta go again.... speaking of teeth, DH is home from the dentist :)
Hey ladies sorry to have been MIA this week, but promise to catch up with everyone tomorrow ;).......
and Grey's is on in 5...wooo hoooo...looks like Aaron is going to have to sit in bed with me and watch it since he dosen't want to go to bed!!
Cathy - At mothers group or if there are videos of bubs on FB, crawling walking etc I always show CJ and say "Don't you want to copy all the other babies" as she isn't really moving about yet (pushing backwards a bit and spinning round but at MG today they were all at least commando crawling, despite the fact she is 3rd oldest, but she seems quite happy to just sit and watch and let them come steal her toys!)
Have any of your bubs got bad breath when they burp? I posted a thread in the BLS section and seems is nothing to worry about but just curious if CJ is the only one? I hold my nose and say stinky at her and she thinks is hilarious.
IL's at theatre tonight, tomorrow DH has day off, then Thur, Fri I am on my own with them on holiday on mornington peninsula as DH couldn't get Thur or Fri off, so is joining us Fri night and we all stay down there the weekend, then just Mon and they are gone. Counting down the days.
No cluckiness here but I wasn't clucky before CJ either, but I enjoy hearing about people being pregnant and having babies so much now - before I didn't really get why people who already had children got so excited about people having children, but I get it now. My cousin is due next week with her second, and I am far more excited than when she had her first 3 years ago (she is in Sydney so will get to see little one end of May)
Yeah, I've noticed it a few times on and off, not 100% sure but I think its been when I have given Bailey bought baby food when I am out and about - I swear he had breath that stunk of garlic the other week (but don't recall him eating anything that could have had garlic in it :o) Not that it applies to CJ but I remember thinking formula made his breath smell different, BF breath was actually lovely to smell ..... ah that sweet warm booby milk breath....... *sigh*......... I miss it (Yep, I'm weird :D )
Oh, and I meant to ask you ladies - have any of you given your babies peanut butter? I was going to give Bailey some on a cruskit and DH talked me out of it for now, he is paranoid about anaphylaxis, although there are no peanut allergies in our families!!
yep jamie has had it and no reactions to anything so far ive even given him egg
Hey Girls
It's around 28oC here at 10.45pm...omg. Bub is asleep with the air con on. I don't usually have the air con on at night much..but ughh!
Thanks for the comments on my breastfeeding pics. I was glad I got them done. Laura was the only baby I did those photos with. Though certainly if I got the chance to do some with Cara, I would. Though she can get so distracted hehe. And yes, Laura was VERY bald!!! It took her 2 years to grow any hair!! She was the baldest of the 4. Cara is the hairiest hehe (definitely has italian genes in there haha) Yassie and Ronan were bald for awhile..but not as much as Laura.
Naomi: I waited til 1 year to give any of the babies peanut butter or honey. Just to be on the safe side. Some people wait 2 years...I think that is a little over the top though.
Krystie: I get what you are talking about. Yasmin was an only child for awhile, and she hit 2 years old and I just thought "She's lonely". And I so had to convince my hubby (at the time) to have Ronan as he knew how hard it was (he was previously a Dad of 4..two of them being twins loL). I bugged him and bugged him about it hehehe. But he's so glad I did. :)
Vic: CJ sounds like she is surveying the whole baby moving situation and taking it all in! :) They all get there in their own time. My 3 year old has bad breath at times...but I brush her teeth twice daily etc..they seem fine. Cara's ....well I haven't really smelt her breath..it's usually her HAIR that stinks!!! LOL couldn't wait to wash my hair tonight either..having had sticky pumpkin fingers through it when Miss Cara decided to have fun when Mum wiped up the mess on the floor! (Oh and I have to say I just edited this as I called you CJ!!! LOL)
I was never a clucky person until I got pregnant. And look..I got 4!!! I was quite happy to have the 3 year age gap. There was 4 years 9mths between me and my sister..too much. My best friend and her sister had 3 years apart, and seemed like close sisters, so that made me decide. 3 years are toilet trained and great helpers!!
Off to playgroup tomorrow! :)
Hi girls! Still around.
Yes Krystie, we are all a bit crook here still. I hope it's gone by the weekend.
Pulled the plug on playgroup for today as DS just won't cope. He was a tad grumpy yesterday (Tad being a TOTAL understatement!), so hanging at home.
My kids are fussy/cranky when teething. These people have no idea.
Go team babies! I want to see more babies happening. I love hearing about pregnancies and births. I'm NEVER going back for more... Shop's shut as I always say. I could handle being pregnant again even with the hyperemesis, but I like my sleep much more than my stomach lining...
We went to a mothers group catch up yesterday. It was the group I was assigned to when I had Lachie. Most of us have either had our 2nd, or are in the process. So far, we have ALL had the oppsite gender. It's weird!
They were all very impressed with what Allira is doing re standing and taking steps wise.
I realised that I think we had the best age gap of all of them. All the other kids have had issues with having a new baby in the house. Allira just fit in like she was always here. It didn't affect Lachie at all. Not one tiny bit. A few of them are having a few small issues now, but they have a 2.5 yo and a baby under 12 weeks... Gosh I think it would be really tough if I'd only just had Allira now.
Was really good to see Lachie was just as tall as the rest of the boys. He was actually the tallest which is cool, because after he hit 3 months, he was the smallest for ages (he was the biggest born). He is probably nearly the skinniest though, and def the fussiest eater.
Anyway...I'm waffling. (how unusual).
Better go and see if Lachie's going to wake up any time soon. Sleeping until 10am is MASSIVE.
xxoo
FINALLY...I can post!!!
Bridg, poor LJ must be so horrible when bubs is sick. Hope the little man is feeling better today.... oh yeah and you too ;)
Naomi, LOVE the photo of Bailey in his cot with his friends...too cute.
Yesterday I was looking at Birthday cakes and saw an AMAZING SS cake...can you believe how fast this first year has gone!!
Glad you agree spending for bubs has to be done...so much more fun buying for them than on yourself
Cathy, Hope you have fun today at Playgroup. BTW the photos of Laura are soo cute. Love the outfit..Can't wait till we have a girl as I am thinking Aaron in pink is not a good idea.
Nicky, hope you all feel better soon...nice sleep on Mr Behalf...you gotta love it when they sleep past 7am!! 10am is a BONUS
Vic, you are being so patient with the IL's..you gotta love them ;)
My IL's live in Wagga so we only see them a few times a year but speak to MIL every week but she is very cool!!
Am loving seeing the video's of CJ...she is soo clever and cheeky!!
AHHH the builder is calling.
We are in the middle of building DH's MAN SHED (triple garage) and there is c***everywhere!!
BBL
morning ladies!
sorry i've been a little MIA myself lately - been going through a bit of a rough patch with E on top of organising to go back to work and all that crap - so i read, i post briefly, but don't manage to say a whole hell of a lot!
Nicky and Bridg - hope you're both feeling better. being under the weather sucks at the best of times - having an almost-nine-month old and feeling off - nope, not fun! plus you both have older kidlets - rather full on!
Nicole - sounds like chaos as the MAN SHED goes up. we're waiting on our shed to go up (similar size) but there have been delays delays and more delays! it's doing my frikken head in!
Cathy - gorgeous pics hun! i have a couple of BF photos from when E was little, but too many body image issues to get anymore done now. ah well - i know how cute she looks when she's BF! no plans on weaning any time soon - so maybe i'll get some when i'm back at work and feeling more confident in myself
Naomi - we have introduced peanut butter to E recently. i did a lot of reading and the current research (which may only be current for a little while lol) says it's best to introduce food that may cause allergies between 6 and 12 months - any later, the chances of allergic reactions actually increase. so, give how far from medico's and hospital/pharmacy we are, we've been trialling foods at my folks place when i'm there for an afternoon. E has had no reaction to peanuts (or eggs - or anything else!). i was determined to introduce them though - we like our satay too much to not have it - and given E eats the same meal as us every night... anyway - i would suggest introducing a small amount (e only had a small crust) and then increasing it next time.
Vic - E has had a bit of bad breath but it's usually following having something to eat that would cause icky breath in anyone! the other night, her breath was a bit wiffy after she had burritos for dinner!
good luck surviving the IL's. not sure if it's a fortunately or unfortunately situation for us, but i have no IL's at all. DH's parents are both passed, and he is estranged from almost all the rest of his family. i'm guessing he would have the same antagonistic thoughts about his IL's as you do though!
sorry to everyone else if i've missed you - gotta get some other stuff done before E wakes up, so time to waffle about us!
E cut another tooth yesterday. she was a miserable PITA little rat the day before - refused to sleep and all that stuff. Mummy wasn't coping very well and had to walk away for a while - but eventually things were ok.
yesterday E and I went out with my mum for a while. after waiting in line for over an hour at c'link (no wonder people abuse me on the phone! lol) we went to my Aunt's to show her some stuff she'd asked us to get for my brothers DD's and then back to mum's for lunch and dinner while DH did some work in the garden. My SIL had held onto the dresses her DD's wore in our wedding and one is a size 0 so yesterday i put it on E and set up a mini photo shoot outside at mum and dad's - we had a ball! the wind was blowing so mum was holding a sheet up behind E and letting it billow around her - E was cackling her little heart out! so we have some very natural photos of her - with a sheet blowing around her! they look so cute - will post some on BB later. love trying to set up a photo and having it go so very wrong but so very right lol
Hi girls. Am reading but have two sick babies atm. The big one is crying so I gotta go. Will post properly soon. xx
I never thought I would say this, but... I can't wait for AF to come!!!
I had my appointment with the FS today and it's full steam ahead! No waiting or anything. He was going to to a down reg cycle, but when he found out AF was due any day now, he changed to an antagonist cycle and asked if I was happy to start right away. YES! Lol. So I have an appointment with his nurse on Friday at 10am to work out all the meds, but she said if AF turns up tonight or tomorrow morning then I'll have to go in tomorrow instead because the drugs have to start on day 2. The doc is putting me on a light drug cycle and trying to keep it as natural as possible. I have poly cystic ovaries (just means I have plenty of follicles in there) and he thinks I'll respond well to a low dose of the drugs. Oh, and I won't be taking the nasal spray, just an injection from day 2-5, then 2 injections daily after that until there are enough "ripe" eggs for pickup :)
And want to know some more great news? I can keep breastfeeding! WHOOHOO! I told him I was a little concerned about the drugs, but that I was keen to keep going and perhaps just time feeds so that Kyson would get a feed right before the daily drug dose, then hold off as long as possible before his next feed (which I'll still do anyway), but he said he wasn't worried about the drugs at all. His concern was that the lining of the uterus wouldn't be thick enough, but he was convinced that it wouldn't be a problem in my case :) Yay for breastfeeding!
If everything goes to plan, the age gap between Kyson and his sibling will be only a month or two bigger than between my sister and I which I like. :D
yay for getting started! that's fantastic!
