Not having a great day today. We had a good breakfast out, but I'm feeling a bit cross with DH. I am struggling with some issues we talked about last night and also with the fact that he's been "incredibly tired" since coming home. He's been on holiday FFS! I just feel like the balance is always tipped in his favour these days. I thought we were supposed to be a partnership. Humph. Anyway, I am trying not to stew over it and just think of positive things and ways to combat what I'm feeling. Sometimes it doesn't help just to verbalise these things to DH - I have to also work out some sort of practical solution or compromise in order to make things better. Just feeling so flat.
Amy - I meant to say - Big I think we can all sympathise, no matter how much we love our DHs or DPs, they really ARE on a different planet. I completely understand - my DH goes to band practise every Wednesday night, cricket every 2nd or so Thursday and Poker Fri nights once a month (and a few other odd things here and there), while I am MORE than happy for him to have these interests, sometimes we are having tight arse week or whatever and sometimes I think he feels he 'misses out' on things despite all things he does socially!! I NEVER go out at night, in fact I cannot recall ONE time since Bailey was born that I left DH behind at home except when I came to our meet-up last year (and he had a nice relaxing day as I had Bailey with me LOL). I know its not necessarily the same as the your issues but I think that more often than not the woman in the relationship does compromise a bit more, it just seems to be what happens, and it can really get you down when you feel like you are the one making the compromises or just getting on with it despite your own tiredness. And you are right, sometimes verbalising SOME things is just more trouble than its worth I don't have a solution babe, you know your relationship best but I do want you to know that someone understands. We love our DHs to pieces, but they are not perfect (nor are we LOL). Anyway - if you want to vent, call me or drop me a PM or whatever

Krystie - WOOOOHOOOOOO re the EPU! Hope they get a heap of great emby's

Naomi- I will be thinking of you tomorrow. What time do you start?

Jacinta- Not good to hear about you being so sick. Hopefully you recover quickly.

Krystie- Yay about the egg pick up. Can't wait to hear how it all went.

Amy- Hugs hun. I totally understand where you are coming from. Leigh doesn't get it either, and then he wonders why I don't have time to sit down.

BG- Sending sleep vibes to Miss E. Fingers crossed tonight is a better night.

Vic- Thanks for the Gimp thing. I might google it when I get off here.

Nicky- How far is it from my place to yours?

AFU, We had a pretty wild storm here yesterday arvo. We were at my mum's which is 30mins away. We didn't have much damage to our house, but the rest of the town looks like a bomb site.
Logan is being a sooky la la today, and only wanting Daddy.

Bridg - It's probably 1.5 hours max. I'm thinking of heading back over your way soon... gotta see DH's grands as much as possible as they are really getting on now. I want to make their final years filled with lots of love and laughter and as much time with the great grandkids as humanly possible, and they are too old to drive over now.

Amy - Big hugs. I hope that Hubs can start to help you out a bit more.
The pics of your girls on FB are just adorable.

Jacinta - sorry to hear you are unwell. I'm hoping all illness has left our household for a few months.

K - All the best with your EPU!! It all sounds very exciting.

It's only 16 degrees here at the moment, but I'm certain it's cooler in the wind. Insane! I'm going to have to get Allira some more jumpers and pants. I just don't have enough at the moment. Struggling to find much for her to wear in this weather... I thought I had a few more weeks up my sleeve.

good luck with the EPU K - hoping it is able to be scheduled around your DH's wor stuff. i know mine was about 11am and i was well and truly home by 2 (and we had a one hour plus trip). be aware you may not feel up to being alone with kyson though - you will likely go under a GA and they can really mess with how you feel. Being responsible for a toddler could be a little overwhelming. esp if he decides to play up or be a barnacle and all you want is sleep

j - hope you are feeling better soon

Bridg - glad you didn't cop much damage. we got the rain over here but not the damage. had a little hail about an hour ago, but nothing came of it

Nicky - good luck finding warm clothes for A! we have lots of warm stuff for E that we were given - but it hasn't turned cold here yet! it's so horribly muggy and yuk almost every day. E is living in a nappy and singlet unless we go out...

AFU - E loves the great outdoors - went to talk to DH in the garden earlier and she wanted down. after all the talk about bubbas not loving the grass i figured i'd try, she'd hate it and then give up - nope, straight onto her belly and commando crawling through the cut grass after the cat!

    Hi Girls,

Jacinta hope you feel better soon honey. Not good at all when you have morning sickness! I remember wanting to die or have an abortion and couldn't believe I felt that way as I wanted to be pregnant for as long as I could remember but MS is a truly awful thing for some ppl. Hang in there honey. I hope DS is feeling better at least.

Krystie how cool you get to do your egg pick up!!! Good luck with that hon! I hope is is painless and stress free for you. Is there anyway you can get someone you trust to have Kyson for you for awhile?? Seeings as you have quite a bit of frozen milk it might be an option for you to make sure you have a rest b4 DH picks him up after his meeting. Seeings as you arn't allowed to drive after a GA it might not be good to look after a ++ mobile little body! Anyway I hope you work something out that works for you and that you enjoy the excitement and it all goes well.

Bridg- Glad to hear you were safe from the storm!! The pictures on the telly were quite dramatic!! Hope Logan settles down soon and wants his mummy too!

Lee- Loved you invites on fb!!! really good love ! Sounds like E enjoyed the grass Thats good hey. Jemima does too. She picks up great big handfuls and studies it. Mind you most to the lawn at our house belongs to the dogs IYKWIM... and most of the rest is on an angle so there isn't a lot of places to let her get down and enjoy. I have been re starting my herb garden this week since getting back and so J has been spending more time outside with me in the garden. I have to put her into an old pram to protect her from the dogs licking her all over and knocking her over.

Naomi - yes I am still on a bit of a buzz from the birth although strangely wistful too as I would love to have the kind of birth my friend had.... I can describe it as joyous and uninterupted. I wish my DH could be as supportive as my GF's DH. but my DH has a lot more fear to overcome in regards to birth.... still I think I definately will have a home birth next time. You girls just have no idea how lovely it is to see it done at home. No asking permission. Just getting on with it! I hope you first day goes well tomorrow Honey!! I will be thinking about you...... I know many of us will be with fingers crossed it isn't too hard and that you find a sense of pleasure there that in some way compensates for being away from Bailey.

Nicky I would love it to be cold here atm!! I can't wait to put J into some warmer clothes!! MIL has sent me some that I swear she will grow out of before I can put her into them She has quite a few really pretty outfits I am just itching to show her off in! Plus after last yr in townsville I am desperate to experience a winter!

Vic- Hope your computer gets sorted soon!!!

AFM- well today J pulled a bench seat onto herself at the mothers group. Not good She cut her lip and really bruised the gum where her new tooth is trying to come down Everybody cringed and were horrified to see it happen and I swear it seemed to happen in slow motion. I just tried to be calm and comfort her so that she could cope well. I knew it looked worse that it was but she had a cut under her nose where the bench landed and she had blood inside her mouth from where her gum got cut... All in all it was terrible and it happened right in the center of a ring of about 8 mums.... I felt terrible for her and me. I felt like a bad mum even though there was nothing to do to stop it. She was just out of arms reach. Anywa she is fine now. I still feel bad tho

Anyway I am gonna go now

    Good luck for tomorrow Naomi

    Love Bella

830 am start Bridg - I finish at 430 so I should have Bailey in my arms by 450pm - I pity anyone who gets in my way on the way home So with 830-430 I should get some Bailey time in before and after each day Yay!

Terrible sleep last night (so I look a bit haggered this morning, great ), I am up, showered, make-up on and about to have breakfast, waiting for Bailey to wake so I can have some pre-work cuddles - you know he is going to sleep in LOL

Talk later ladies - off to the adult world I venture..................

Naomi - I hope you had a few nice cuddles before heading off this morning. Today will be the worst day.
I hope you don't have any hassles getting home... I can just imagine what I would be like if it were me and someone made me late home... not pretty. haha.

    Hi all!
Bella - Don't ever feel like a bad Mum! They all have their accidents. This age where they are pulling on everything to stand is pretty notorious for accidents. I can't remember all the stuff Lachie's done now, apart from the really decent crashes. Big hugs and I hope J is ok and recovers very quickly.

BG - It's great that E loves the grass so much! Lachie hated it.. used to scream when put on it. Allira doesn't mind it... apparently it's tasty. That girl of mine eats everything! Lachie was never this obsessed with putting things in his mouth.

Cool here again today. Loving it! We've had a fair amount of rain which the farmers are loving.
Not much planned... bit worried about my first Netball training tomorrow night! The uniform for hte season is that gross full lycra body suit thing with the skirt. We've all seen my body shape.... it's not going to be very nice to begin with. LOL At least it's black and apparently holds things in a bit. Ah well. I'm going to crack the tan out for my legs next week and get onto it. I doubt my thighs have seen the light of day since I was young, skinnier and hot. haha.

Enough of my nonsense. Have a good day everyone!
I hopeyou are feeling better today Jacinta!

BTW, I picked up an egg thing for you if you want it (no pressure) Am more than happy to send it to you

Krystie, good luck for Wednesday's EPU. Can't wait to hear how many eggies you cooked

AFU, this computer is driving me NUTS. Hate using Safe mode. Bought a external Hard drive yesterday so need to back up all of Aaron's photos while he is catching a few Zzzzz.

Naomi: How did it go honey? I hope your first day wasn't too hard.

Krystie: So exciting for you!! You will be pregnant before you know it hehe

JwithJ: Sorry to hear you are feeling like crap with cold and ms.

Bella: Cara has so many bruises on her legs and bumps her head a lot now she is pulling up on everything on crawling.

BG: E's invite looks awesome!! Can't wait to get the artwork done on the photos I sent Sara. She has some nice backgrounds. She asks for ideas....Arghhh I can only think of a few.

Niadalla: Woohoo for Allira walking!! You must be so excited for her!

Whatever happened to Raindrops? Did she go back to England?

Cara is pointing at everything now..so cute!! She calls her big brother "Roro" (Ronan) just like Laura did too (Laura STILL calls him that sometimes haha)

GTG baby just woke up! Laura wants to play puzzles.. Off I go! Hope all you Mummies are good!

BG - I'm going to pencil in all these baby birthdays and see what I can do about getting to at least some of them I could probably make a stopover and mum and dad's on the way to your neck of the woods to break up a trip...

Nicky - I must be a sleepy-spaz, but I can't find it, lol. Are you able to post the link to it in here?
Ok, scratch that, found it, hehe. *smacks head* It looks fantastic. I love the hungry little caterpillar. DH gave me a hungry little caterpillar baby record book the christmas before Kyson was born. Lately I've been trying to organise some photos to go in it, and putting some more details in there.

Nay - I remember thinking of you the first time I saw the ad on tv for the bonds roomies, but I totally forgot to tell you about them. I'm glad Vic told you and that they are awesome
All the best for tomorrow. I will be thinking of you. I'll even give Kyson a few extra cuddles and think of Bailey

OK, Belly Belly is refusing to load for me now, I might go to bed and finish this post tomorrow...

Back again, that seemed very quick didn't it, lol.

Jacinta - So sorry to hear that you are feeling so unwell. I hope the headcold and ms ease up on you soon.

Bridg - The storms have been crazy haven't they?! Would you believe that the ONE day that my car is out on the road instead of in the garage, was the ONE day that we got hail the size of large marbles?! Luckily there was no damage, but I know a few other people that got broken window and dented cars.

Bella - Oh no! Poor Jemima! Oh it's just horrible when they hurt themselves, and that sounds like a particular nasty ouchie You're definitely not a bad mum and I'm sure none of the others mums at our group think that either. We have to let these little monkeys learn independence, and unfortunately it means we can't wrap them in cotton wool and bubble wrap (as much as we would like to!). I hope she's feeling better now and hasn't been to upset.
Your friends birth sounds absolutely beautiful. I'd love to have a lovely water birth, but there would be no way I could convince DH that a home birth is a good idea. I'm thinking about having a doula at the next birth even though we'll be in the hospital. Although I'm happy with how Kyson's birth went, I thought I would get more/different support from the hospital midwifes, which didn't really happen. So I think a doula would be good. I wonder if you can hire doula's that double as birth photographers?

Nic - Oh gosh, I really need to do another backup of photos! Thanks for the reminder. I would be devostated if I lost them. Great news that you now have dates for all the testing! And fantastic that they are all coming up pretty soon so you don't have to wait to long. Fingers crossed that you get good news from them.

Cathy - My niece calls on of her Uncles "Roro". His name is Rodnay, but I think she calls him that because he used to always sing "Row Row Row Your Boat" to her! LOL!!

Hmmm, I should have some lunch before the pudding wakes up. Oh! Kyson finally cut a tooth! It came through either yesterday or the night before. Once it's cut the gum, how quickly do they grow to look like proper teeth? It's still just sitting flush with his gum at the moment. I think the other bottom tooth is close to cutting too. Poor thing is all snotty nosed with the teething now though. And DESPISES having his nose wiped! I have to wrestle him on the ground have the time to get the boogers!

Thanks for all the well-wishes for tomorrow. My admit time is 10am, and EPU is 11am. BG, knowing that you were home by 2pm with the same start time gives us hope that DH might make his 3.30pm meeting, or at elast some of it. He spoke to his boss and another executive today though and they seem ok with him not being there under the situation (I think he told them why). The government is very good when it comes to work/life balance. If I'm not ok to be left alone at home, then he might be able to ring in and be on conference call during the meeting too.

Hey Krystie- I took heaps of photos and videoed my mates birth and I know my sister has definately done that too. So I think you definatley could get a doula who would do that. They may not be great but it means that you can sit back and just enjoy the moment. basically a doula should do whatever it takes to help you have a great birth and if that means getting coffee for DH so he can stay with you or staying with you so DH can get a breath of fresh air and a coffee on his own whatever it is they should be up for it

Nicole- good to hear you have some dates for the neuro and paeds... nice to have bit of a plan and know how long you have to wait.

    Bella

ps thanks for all the kind words everyone I appreciate it.

Krystie: Yay for Kyson's teeth finally popping up!!!

I was all for having a home birth if they made me have another caesarean. I ended up having Cara at the Mater hospital and I got to videotape it!! (well Alby did). I know you were not allowed to do this at the Logan hospital, and I didn't even ask at the Mater (never intended to get the birth filmed, just film the baby after birth, but we had the camera there, so we went for it!) It is such a great thing to have. The kids have all seen it and are amazed! It was great to show Laura, 3 how her little sister came into the world. I think back to when I went into labour with her, I was in full on contractions reading Laura a story and putting her to bed hehe. I was glad though, she got a good night sleep.

Hehe I think RoRo is just so easy to say. She sounds like she is saying "WahWah" for Laura too..so cute! I am yet to really hear her say Mum..sob sob. But then they often only whine it anyway.

Bella: Congrats to your friend on the birth of her baby..what an awesome experience to be there at the birth. I hope I get to witness a birth one day! My best friend just had her baby girl, I can't wait to see her.

Amy: Hope you feel better soon hon!! Men can be sooo frustrating at times!

Just a quick one from me, I promise to sit down with some persies tomorrow night

Today went ok, the first two hours were VERY hard as as everyone welcomed me back etc, inevitably if they asked how I was going being away from Bailey I just started to bawl (slightly embarrasing but everyone was lovely). Then I got stuck into some work, setting up emails, my desk etc and the day really did fly. I sms'd and spoke to Sean a few times which was good. If I dont get a speed camera fine in the mail for my trip home it will be a miracle as I got home within 15 mins despite peak hour, and probably severly pi**ed of some drivers with my annoying tailgating in my effort to get home asap. Sean had Bailey sitting right by the door and when I walked in he started jumping up and down with excitement and leapt into my arms (which I then wouldn't let him out off LOL). It was the best welcome home ever, he was clearly delighted to see me and kept throwing his arms around my neck - Wow, that made me cry (but with sheer delight!)

Naturally the ILs didn't waste any time and were over here for 2 hours (FFS, give Sean half a day to settle in why don't you!! ) That actually sh*t me quite a bit, But that aside it all went well for me, and for Sean and Bailey which is all that matters.

Krystie - just a quickie - GL with the EPU tomorrow, take it easy in the arvo and I hope you have some wonderful success with your emby's

And Nic - hope that Aarons stats are a great sign, it sounds like the growth is evening out between his head and the rest of your beautiful little boy

PS - thanks for all the support FB messages, FB chat, sms's and posts guys, you helped me get through today and I really appreciate it from the very bottom of my heart

    Hi girls,

Naomi glad to hear you coped so well, I bet it will make you cherish your time with Bailey all the more. Sometimes I think i find it easy to take it for granted.

I am having a glum day today, no real reason why just tired I guess. DH has decided to do his exam next year It can't really be helped. He might still be able to do them this year but he has himself convinced that he won't do well and I think the mind is pretty powerful. So if he doesn't believe he will pass he probably wont.

I however have decided to attempt to conceive a baby early next yr anyway. which DH is supportive of so my main reason for wanting him to do it this year is gone. So all is well that ends well?

Anyway I am knackered so I am gonna find a book and curl up on the couch

Quickie post as I'm going to go have a lay down on the couch while DH has Kyson at my PIL's

Egg pickup went well today I think. They got 10 eggs. I was n't sure how good that was, but the dr. wrote "well done!" in the comments section under the number off eggs on the form they gave me... I then looked it up and it looks like 10-12 is about average. BG, didn't you get significantly more than that? Gosh, did you feel super bloated. I felt rather bloated this morning.

I felt really good after I woke from the anaesthetic and I left fairly soon after having a drink and bite to eat. Kyson was a little angel for his Daddy (they went shopping and had lunch at Chaddy) and was very excited to see me in the recovery lounge. We got nearly all the way home, then 10 minutes from home I started feeling a little odd. We got home and I ran to the toilet and vomited I know it's common to be nauseous after a GA, but I never have before, and it seemed strange to be ok for a few hours, then to suddenly need to vomit. Oh well, I've been fine ever since. That must be one helluva needle though, because my belly is rather sore! Getting up and down is quite painful, so I'll try to stay fairly still tonight. Kyson has been fantastic this afternoon though. DH even got to do his meeting via conference call and Kyson just happily played around me in the lounge room (with a few bribes here and there of a fruity bar, hehe). I find out tomorrow the fertilisation results.

Hope you are all doing well.
