re xmas- i have got them both a remote control roary car packed away (one each). i think we might just get L some duplo and J the big city garage from ELC. i'm not too sure what my family is getting them.
eta- can someone please remind me never to have mersey valley cheese in my house ever again. i cannot stop eating it. v bad move ever buying it.
Awwww thanks for all the nice comments RE my work ladies. I am doing lots of study and practise trying to improve.
I am feeling super organised about Christmas now lol. I found it way to easy to think of things for L this year. Z is getting mostly clothes and books.
hi oz- i've got him in those huggies pull-ups with the cars on them. we've told him that if he does a poo on the toilet that we'll take him to the shop to buy him a duplo firetruck. he talks about it all the time and says how excited he is to get it, but still no poo on the toilet
The other day L bought me a nappy and asked me to put it on so I knew he needed to poo, I sat him on the toilet for 15 min with promises of everything lol. He wouldn't go. I put the nappy on and within minutes he had almost destroyed it lol.
Well I've decided - no more nice mummyguy. It's undies all the way here and if it feels yuck to **** in it and it gets on your leg when the undies are coming off then GOOD, that might be an incentive to get the TTing sorted out!
Poo in undies in Country Road wasn't that bad was it G? That was Lu's only poo in undies accident do far and I was mortified, lucky G saved the day with some Diego jocks!
So, warning, I'm going to have a little boast about my girl.......When we went to Noosa a few months back friends had a book that Lu loved. She read it lots in the week up there. I bought it for her yesterday and she sat down and read it aloud to Sassy. Purely from memory, she can't actually read! She got a few words wrong but I was pretty impressed.
JM: that is one proud boast-worth moment!! too cute too! next time ya gotta get it on film!!
Arte: Leila is also really obsessed with her age and what it means in relation to others. like she goes on and on how she has to wait until she is bigger to go to school and how some things in the house are not for her because she is a big girl now (that she has turned 3 lol).
it's so funny atm because we harped on about how proud we were of her to do poos on the toilet, she now comes out of the bathroom after doing one and asking me if i am proud of her lol! (of which i am immensley and tell her so lol!). or she'll say, you are so proud of me because i am a big girl and do wees and poos on toilet...i guess we drove that one home
JM we have one particular book here which L knows by heart, cracks me up every time.
G how did he go minus the nappy?
Cass L is so cute, my L gets off the loo still wanting everything he was promised even when he didnt do the poo lol.
L is all good with the wee's even when we are out, its just the poo's. I am just going to have to keep on trying. Do your kids still have a day nap?
Arte I love hearing W's stories. L doesn't talk about his age like that at all.
MD: WHO???!!!! OMG i wish they weren't LOL!!! man, dont they know that i need coffee dates galore LOL! who, what, where and WHEN??!!! tell 'em that next time to totally pounce on me lol!
G: Muffy just offered to do mine i soo needed an update...even if i do miss my preggy belly lol.
Oz: haha same here. Leila still wants stickers even if she didnt do anything lol. she even mimicks 'wee' sounds
Arte- if DH is late he is expected to call. Previously he work a lot on farm by himself and if he was late I'd worry he'd rolled a tractor or chopped something off! Now if he's late I think he's been held-up. So rules at our house are to always call. He didn't get it in the early days, so once I stayed back late at work and didn't call, he was beside himself when I got home, he's always called since.
i like to know around about what time he's going to be home. he usually calls me about 4.30pm to let me know what time he'll be home and to ask me if we need milk or anything. if i hadn't heard anything by about 6pm i would definitely be calling him. sometimes i just get bored and like to hear his voice LOL
yes if i was a single mum i think i would definitely be looking for a pert time job by now, just to break up the days a bit.
well KitKat and Leo seem to have bonded very well. after her initial hissing and wacking him over the head with her paw, she is now curled up on the couch snuggling with him. L calls her 'mummy cat' now....awwww
so how was everyone's Sunday? mine was ok, went and for breakfast and then ended up in kmart buying Diego, Cars and Thomas t-shirts LOL
