    Hi Girls,'

Im also with you too Natty and Telly, I dont have any formula in the house. I wasnt too keen on BF this time around cause I had such a bad time feeding DS, but as with everything else, this time is different and I am really enjoying it.
Someone mentioned that one of their breasts didnt feel 'as full' as the other one anymore, but that is normal. Your breasts dont always have that full feeling because, when you first start feeding your baby your breasts make too much milk until your body works out how much your baby needs. Once that happens they wont have that hard full feeling unless you dont feed for ages.

We had a very unexciting NYE. We did watch the fireworks on TV but that was only cause I was feeding Ruby, otherwise I think we would have already been in bed! Our DD1 has been staying at my mums since Boxing Day so Dh and I have done up her room. We have re painted it, put up new curtains, got her a double bed with new bedding and DH has made her side tables and draws. She is going to be SO excited when she comes home on Sunday. Im excited thinking about her reaction! I think she will cry

I cant wait til Ruby works out the difference between night and day. She has a period of about 2 hours where she is awake during the night but wont just lie in her bassinette, she wants to be occupied. Do you think it will be worth trying to keep her awake during the day, or will she just get too tired and cranky?

    Happy New Years Lovelies

Hi Ubba and Telly, remember back in our belly buddies group, one of you and I had a discusion about bf? Well it really got me thinking and I thought I couldnt knock what I hadnt tried and now I am fiercely defending my decision to all who dares question me about it lol...I seriously thought Id have a lot more support for bf IRL but all I get is comments "oh are you feeding again?" "She shouldnt need to eat again surely?" I just want to yell at them and say we have this sorted it is none of your business how much she feeds...It has even been suggested that the feeding is causing bellyaches which I have said "If she is not hungry she will not drink" so there...I hope I'm right lol...and I actually might start a thread in the bf section about it...just to make sure...

So all of you who are ff maybe we should swap and everyone can get of my case! grr lol..

JDs mum how funny are dogs with firecrackers!! Nikki our bordercollie ran into the glass door the other night poor thing we couldnt appreciate the funny side as V was crying at the time lol...I hear you on the constant BF isnt it tiring? Do you miss the tired signs or does she just want to stay up? m finding it hard to distinguish but its getting a bit easier now...Did I mention how CUTE Abbey is??

Hi Alison, yep I think it counts lol...Alison maybe you can ring the hossy and ask what brand the shield was there are lots of types...and sizes it might help on your search..

    Hi Everyone else!!!

A friend of mine came over with her 2 kids last night and we discovered that nothing will ever go according to plan ever again lol...we ate late, her kids whinged, mine wouldnt sleep and we watched the fireworks then called it a night !!!! NOT what I imagined back in my youth haha....

Oh I got "Buzz" on PS3 for Chrissy only because we got the playstation for free on promotion but the game is cool as, at least its something you can play but leave if you need to and its fun for a group of 4 its just a quiz game so nothing too tchnical and dh and I were playing this morning it was a nice moment, anyway....

Hi Ubba - not sure what to do re the sleeping issue at night, I'm having the same during the day at the moment, Amelia just doesn't want to go down, I'm getting nothing done as I have to keep picking her up! Grrrrr. Wonder if it's a growth spurt?!

Hi Heavenly - couch sounds great, if it's free even better!

Hi Natty - I love that Buzz game hee hee, we played Wii Sports kids vs adults on Christmas Night and we won, was quite hilarious!

tellytubby - I would be excited too if Abbey slept for 7 hours straight - what a dream!!! Theo must be a good baby!!! Hope he keeps it up for you....

Alison1973 - I ended up buying a couple of shields from the hospital when I left....it was easier than scouring around the chemists for one - have you contacted the hospital to see if you could get another?? I was visiting my Granmda in her nursing home the other day and fed Abbey whilst we were there and left my shield in it's little container behind on her nightstand...I didnt realise til about 1/2 an hour after we were home and got into a panic cause I thought she might throw it out not realising what is was (and her minds not completely there either) so rang the staff to see if they could pick it up and put it at the front counter and DH went and got it...they probably thought I was a mad woman calling up in a frenzy about a nipple shield!! But I'd be lost without it!
Elvis is a blue cattle dog...he's about 8 years old and we have a red one as well called Bella...she usually freaks out with the fireworks and runs around the place but we didnt see her last night so I think she hid in the shed....they are quite mental these dogs...I feel sorry for them though cause they were my babies 2 years ago and were inside all the time and went to the beach every Sunday morning and now they have really dropped down in the priority order in the house so I have to work on that for their sake!

nattyfred - I dont know about the tired signs, I can usually tell....I dont think she was really tired on Wed for some reason, just wanted to feed all the time...she doesnt throw it up or anything so I'm assuming she wants it...sometimes though I'm probably lazy and instead of walking around with her or bouncing her on the ball that we have I just put her on the boob and hope she drops off to sleep and then put her down...funny about your dog, that would have been hilarious if V werent kicking up a stink....her and Abbey look very much alike so they are both cuties : )

My best friend from school has been back home for the past week and popping over and visiting and I think I'm putting her off getting married and having kids by living in this madhouse!!!! I think she thinks it's all a bit mental with JD screaming around the joint and me sitting on the lounge with my boobs out watching him trash the place...definitely didnt imagine myself doing this 10 years ago!!! Wouldnt change it for the world though even when I'm pulling my hair out!!

Abbey is sleeping very well today so I'm pretty scared about tonight...hope she doesnt feel like partying cause I certainly dont! : )-

Hi JDsMum - re your doggies, ours are the same, they've always been my babies and whilst they are still allowed inside (they're staffies) and we are trying to keep things like they were before you can't help but not give them as much attention hey. They've only been for 2 walks since Amelia was born, poor things. Luckily the boy is too old and can't walk far anyway so we tend to kick the soccer ball to Molly and that tires her out enough. She was very much a "daddy's girl" before though and DH doesn't give her the same attention as before so I've told him to make more of an effort ha ha. Oh and I found some nipple shields at the chemist, phew! Not the Medela brand like I got at the hospital but the Avent brand. Will give them a go and if they're crap I've got afternoon tea at the hospital on Tuesday for all the girls who had babies around the week I did so I will ask the lactation consultant for more then. I should've bought more than 1 but wasn't expecting to become so reliant on them! Your story of retrieving them from your Grandma's nursing home was funny, I'd have done the same. I was in a mad panic last night when I realised I lost it at DH's mum and dads. I was scouring the pavement in the dark trying to find it without having to outloud say to his dad that I was looking for my nipple shield, how embarrassing!

Well, Amelia is finally asleep after seriously being awake from lunch time until 6.00 pm! I hope she sleeps well tonight! Although it's been 3 hours since her last feed but I hate to wake her after only 1.5 hours so I might leave it a bit and not worry about my routine for now, I will let her wake up and let me know when she's hungry again!
