    hey ladies

im feeling like a bit of a stalker, haha. i just had a squiz through the august bellybuddies group to check on bondi. I'm so excited for her, i really want this to be it, i've never wanted it more for anyone than for her, and i've never even met her, hehe. is that normal? i just had a quick look, she's 8 weeks and starting to get morning sickness. we all have to have our fingers and toes crossed for her! arh.. yep totally lost the plot - total stalker! haha

theo has been sleeping for 3 hours now and i'm swiddling my thumbs wondering what to do. DD is at my mums house for the arvo. I couldn't probably organise dinner but i've got my heart set on takeaway.

took dd to swimming lesson today, the first one since theo was born. it was great, really nice to have our time together again. she loved it, made my day!

hmm, other than that i'm pretty boring today sorry

alison i don't know much about heamorroids sorry. i know i got them from theo's labour (really big ones according to DH, hahaha), but thats about it. it still hurts a bit when i poo, sometimes they bleed, but other than that i've had no discomfort from them. i'll ask at my checkup appointment, but its not for another 2 weeks.

kymmy hope you're starting to feel better. ouch when archie pulled back with it still in his mouth they're so beautiful tho, you could never get cranky at them! hahaha, wonder if i'll be saying that when they're teenagers!

ookay. i'm going to go do some boredom eating.. how terrible is that!?

    xx

    Good afternoon girls,

Alison - Oh no I hope you dont have haemorroids! I dont know much about them either, sorry.

Kymmy - hope the antibiotics starting to kick in soon and your boob starts feeling better. I couldnt imagine how sore it is and you are still bfeeding off it, your a CHAMP!

Ubba - I had Trent at South Eastern Private Hospital and they didnt give him a hearing test Its so hard to gage if he can hear me or not. When he's up during the day he is so alert looking around at everything! Too much for him to look at so when I try testing his hearing he's too busy with everything else, lol

Telly - nothing wrong with stalking, lol I do it sometimes but mainly on facebook As for Trent's rolling, think it was a one off!!! He hasnt done it again. Well he did it 4 times in a row yesterday but hasnt done it today so who knows. As for the needles, its when they are 2 months old rather than 8 weeks. Trent is 9 weeks today but was 2 months old on Monday so he had his needles yesterday, its VERY confusing!

Tygress - thats good news that you dont have to go to hospital, much be a BIG relief
Well done on bfeeding this long. Its so hard and like you as much as I wanted to continue, for the little amount I was producing it wasnt worth it. I persisted like that for a few weeks but like you gave it up in the end. I bfed for 7 weeks which Im proud of

    to Snowy, Heavenly and Billykat

AFM - Trent had his needles last night and he only cried for a few seconds. There were so many babies/kids there last night getting them and listening to their cries while we were waiting got me all emotional and I started crying! I am such a SHOCKER! Poor Trent was sleeping peacefully and the thought of him getting all upset, upset me. In the end, he was fine. Gave him some panadol before he went to sleep last night and he slept fine.

He did however projectile vomit after his 6.30am feed and it went EVERYWHERE! He hadnt done that for so long. So here I was cleaning him up as vomit was all over his head! Then I changed him and changed all his bedding, LOTS of fun...NOT! Then 20 mins later I had to wake DP for work So have been sleeping on and off for most of the day.

Hope your all having a good day

    Take care,
    Tania

alison, you poor thing!!!! they are narsty! i had them near the end of the pregnancy with ella from the presure. they went away by them self soon after her birth. they do ago away by themself but you can get cream for them but im pritty sure thats just to help with the discomfort.... im not sure if you go to the doctor or just buy it.... the midwife offered to write me a scriped... but i decided id leave it. consterpation is a big known course for them so maybe take something to keep your stools soft and dont strain your self as that will make them worse... they want to be left alone to heal. hope they clear up soon... go to the doctor tho if they dont.

    Hey everyone!

Tygress - did you have any luck with Infacol?? I have been using Infants Friend (mixed in with boiled water in a bottle) but I dont think that's doing much as she was up a fair bit last night in pain and has been cranky this morning too....

Kymmy81 - I hope your mastisis has cleared up for you...sounds painful!

MissMagpie - Abbey has done a couple of vomits like that...it's gross isnt it and you have to change everything....not fun in the middle of the night...when Abbey did it milk came out of her nose and everything the poor little thing....

Alison - I'm pretty sure I had haemorroids (I think only 1) after I had JD and I didnt do anything about it - it just went away on it's own after a while...if it wasnt that then I dont know what it was....

AFM - thanks for all your kind words - you are all great!! She still hasnt been sleeping that well but I think I'm used to it now cause I had no more than 4 hours sleep last night and am doing OK at the moment....JD has been a terrible sleeper since day 1 so I'm used to it I guess....she was up last night from 2 - 4 with wind pain AGAIN...I was bouncing, feeding (which she was fiddling around with and playing up), bouncing on and off until I think she was exhausted and dropped off....I wrapped her up so tight cause her little arms and legs wouldnt stop jerking around and they drive me bonkers when I'm trying to feed her!!

She has been playing silly buggers on the boob since last night....she gets on the shield and I can hear her sucking and carrying on and I know she's not on right so I keep repositioning her and she still does it...I hope she gets over this soon cause I want to keep BF if I can.....I had the pump all packed up and ready to take back to the chemist today but cause she fed ALL day yesterday my boobs are full as today and she has been sleeping a fair bit so I needed to express for some relief...might keep it for another week...what an expensive exercise....I am worried that I am going to dry up if I leave it too long between feeds....would it affect my supply if my boobs were full for a while and she didnt have a feed?

She also had her 6 week check up and needles today...everything looks good so was happy with that...I was only in the pediatricians office for about 5 mins...she screamed her little head off when she had her needles...at the imm clinics on the Gold Coast it was better cause they had 2 nurses do both shots at once so it was all over and done with quick and here there is only 1 nurse so there are 2 jabs...and I think she spat out most of that oral medicine they give them...

Sorry for the rant...hope everyone is going well...I'm going to have a Cyclone now and try and pull the damn Xmas tree down....
    Shayna

Hi Tygress - you poor thing are you ok? I wish I could help you! Amelia has been like it all week during the day, it's not wind or anything she just wants to eat all the time or just cry. She too sleeps for about 15/20 mins at a time only. Grrr. I've gotta get ready for mothers group so she'll just have to cry I think! Unfortunately the 6 hour nights earlier in the week were short lived, had 4 the last 2, better than 3 hours I guess but still, gave me a taste of the good life and then took it away! LOL

Hope things get better for you real soon Tygress.

AFM - went and got some roids cream yesterday, was embarrassing as the pharmacist was quite young and asked me lots of personal questions about my bum LOL! Let's hope it sorts itself out soon, it's so painful going to the toilet!!!!!

Alison - i hope the cream helps your bum! Try eating some prunes and have some pear juice 2 keep things soft which might help as well.

I managed to get James down for one sleep time this afternoon, at which time i promptly crashed as well. I hope we have a better night. My mum is trying to organise to come up, a difficult task as my dad requires care, but would be great to have someone here with me.
I just wish i could help his tummy pain poor lil mite just screams with it, can't wait to get to the paediatrician next thursday, hopefully he can help us.

    Hi Everyone!

MissMagpie- I found the pamphlet I was talking about earlier. It is called the Victorian Infant Hearing Screening Program. I will PM you their contact details cause I dont think I can post them on the open forums.

Alison- Hope your bum feels better soon, haemaroids are very painful but easily taken care of, embarassing or not you did the right thing.

Tygress- Glad you got some sleep when James went down today - hope it was some decent shut eye!

AFM- Ruby had a MCHN appointment today, she has put on 890g in 2 weeks!! I though I was starting to get a dead arm The nurse gave me some settling techniques to use on Ruby but so far not so good, I just cant handle the crying and find it easier to just pick her up.

Hi everyone else I will catch up another time.

Hi Ubba - go Ruby! hee hee. I had mothers group today and weighed Amelia, she's put on 900 grams in 3 weeks and has grown 4.4 cms since birth, she's now 56.4 cm!!!!!!! She's going to be taller than me soon LOL!

Hi Kymmy - glad your antibiotics are working, I hope my roids cream does too cause this morning's toilet stop brought tears to my eyes!!!!!!!

We're off to our holiday house again tomorrow for the weekend so I won't be posting until my return on Sunday if you're wondering where I am. I hope everyone has a fab weekend and that their bubs behave and we all get some sleep!!!!!!!!!

Take care and speak to you all on Sunday.

    Hi everyone

Kymmy - I'm glad you are getting on top of that mastitis. I'm pretty lucky to have never experienced that - phew! And yes, I want another one already - but I think we're done - although I would love another.. haha!!

Alison - ouchies on the hem's mate!!! I had an anal fissure after DD1 because of all the pain killers I was taking for my infection from the c-section - and it caused me to get one - tell ya what that was just like crappin out razor blades!! I have scored a hemo after DD2 (yay go me!) but it never hurts, just annoying.. lol.. I had an awesome cream for the fissure though, healed it up pretty well.

Seems like everyone is going through some restless times with their bubbas, I spent an hour and 45 minutes trying to resettle her this morning after her 5am feed, and by that time, the other two kids were up so no more sleeping for me!! We have worked out that if DH feeds her around 11pm, she'll go through till 5am without needing a feed, now if only I could get to bed before midnight this would be awesome!! At least most nights I get 5 hours in a row though.

We have been putting a heated up wheat bag in her bassinette before we pop her in there at night, think she was waking up from going from our warm chest to the cold sheets and was harder to get her to go back to sleep, so now we warm it up and she sorta snuggles right in and goes to sleep!! Awesome

She also put on 740g in 2 weeks as well - much better than the 70g in 12 days when I was bfing her - so I find myself in a weird position, feeling guilty for AGAIN formula feeding a child, but also feeling guilty because she wasn't "thriving" on my milk. *sigh* Even on your 3rd child there is always some mummy guilt!!

We went to a zoo yesterday and my friend carried her in the Close Carrier for the few hours we were there, but didn't shade her from the sun, so her face is a lovely shade of red.. poor bugger she looks like a tomato.. lol

Better go - DD1 is trying to clean the kitchen floor with a tissue. Do you think she is trying to tell me something?

Hi Arimeh - I'm actually wondering if that's what it is rather than roids, like you said it's like poo'ing razor blades..........do you think it could be that instead? This cream is for fissures as well so hoping it works its magic soon! Soooooo painful!

Hi Mon - that's awesome, well done little Serenity!

AFM - Amelia slept from 10.00 pm to 5.00 am - 7 hours!!!!! Typically though we're off to our holiday house down south today for the weekend so I was up getting organised and didn't get to bed until midnight so I didn't get to make the complete most of it but bloomin happy. Probably a fluke but I'll take it!!! She fed and went back to sleep and it's now nearly 9.00 am and I'm going to have to wake her for another feed and then get going. I wonder if going out yesterday knackered her or her growth spurt is over. Who knows!

Anyway will be offline until Sunday so have a great weekend girls. Sunrise has a story on now claiming Formula is almost as good as breast milk so must go listen!

Could be? Whenever my roids act up, it hurts after I poop, not whilst I'm pooping. Whereas my fissure hurt as soon as the poop started moving down and out - crikey sometimes I was hanging onto the walls in the toilet it hurt so freakin much. My cream made it all better - just gross sticking the applicator up there to put the cream up there in the first place.. LOL

And woohoo for the sleep mate - thats brilliant

Oh - and let us know what Sunrise says, I don't think formula will ever be as good as breast milk - it is still artificial milk after all, but if it stops our kids from dying of starvation.... I know which route I prefer to take

    Hi all,

Gee you step out of here for 1 minute and you lose track of evrything!

Alison, Yay for your sleep! Boo for the roids tho....I have had some discomfort too but not enough to go to the chemist lol..

    Heavenly once again yay! jealous!!!!

Arimeh what a good idea with the wheat bag! we will try it too..I hope the sunburn isnt too bad, Im too scared to put cream on V incase she eats it lol.

Kymmy i hope the boob is feeling better, they say its good to catch early otherwise it can get bad very quickly.

JdsMum Abbey looks so nice with her little clip, does she pull her hair? V does and I think it hurts but she doesnt know he is doing it lol..

Sorry...Hi everyone else Im glad your bubbas all seem to be getting bigger lol and I am right there with those having ****e sleep lol.

V had her immunisations today she screamed her head off but is now sleeping on my lap and I dont have the heart to disturb her..So sad because we went shopping today and she was great and smiling and looking like she was silently laughing and we didnt want to upset her after such a nice day haha...

for those of you FF, how much is your bub having each feed??

I think James has been hungry, I gave him a bottle this arvo and he took 180ml! According to the clinic sister his 4hrly quota is 120ml.... maybe this is his growth spurt....

I wish I knew what the hell I was doing.... my plan is 180ml bottles for the rest of tonight and see how that goes. I guess he'll let me know if he doesn't want that much.

    Have a good one girls!

Tygress - sometimes she has all of her 120ml bottle, sometimes she will have a 180ml bottle. So usually I make up a 180ml bottle, and if she drinks it all, if she wants food in 3 hours after that I'll make up a 120ml bottle. If she doesn't drink it all, but has a big sleep instead, then I'll give her another 180ml bottle. If she doesn't drink it all - no biggie. But I have found that at 5am, its easier to make up a big bottle and have her not finish it, than to make a small one and have her screaming for more

Oh, and I never go by whats written on the tin, I just go by the baby - they always let you know if they are still hungry (and usually wake up other kids in the process... lol)

Natty - Eden is due for her vaccs tomorrow (apparently whooping cough is all over the joint down here so I have to have that one at 6 weeks for her instead of 2 months?) but I'm not sure how many others I'm going to get done, going to do some research into vaccs I think... so hard....
