    Hi Ladies,
I need to get off my butt and book Mr I into the doctor for his vacs (he was 8 weeks on Thursday)

We moved into a new house 6 weeks ago and the retired bloke behind us introduced himself over the fence a couple of weeks ago. I was out hanging the washing out the other day and he came out and chatted to me for a while. After he left I realise I was only wearing a bra & a baby on my top - Mr I had spewed so I'd taken my shirt off and he was not happy to be left in the bassinette so I'd put him in the carrier to hang the washing out (luckily as it turned out seeing Doug came out to talk).

I'm sick of the rain - I got a new clothesline for Xmas (first time in 10 years I've had a clothesline out in the sun - at the old house it was on the verandah) and since DH put it up its rained. I got him to buy a new airer so I could put 2 loads of washing under cover.

I got out the play mat so far DS1 has used it more than Mr I -see fb pics.

Gotta go to sleep earlier. Both boys went to sleep at 8pm last night and Mr I woke at 1:30 and then 3:30 & 5:30 and grunted for the next hour before I gave up on sleep and got up. But I had to do my work last night 'cause I got nothing done during the week. So our night last night was DH & I sitting with our backs to each other working on our respective computers - spending quality time as a couple.

Better go - its my Step-Mum's 60th today I'd better buy the vegies I'm taking to go with beetroot dip I'm taking.

hahaha, snowy! Very lucky you had the sling on, haha. I always hang out the washing wearing a moomoo that is a bit too short, and i wonder what the neighbours think. but never topless i must say! lol! doesn't sound like he was bothered by it tho. I checked out your FB picks, Mr I is just so cute.. i love his hair! I can't wait for theo to get some hair, i'll totally be spiking it up, haha. Glad to hear DS1 is enjoying the baby toys too, lol - exactly the same as me with DD.

Mon - my gosh you're a lucky thing! Serenity is doing great with her sleep! what a sweetie!

hey natty, that sucks about the needles, hope she's ok and doesn't get too cranky from them. do you have panadol ready just incase?

AFM has anyone gotten their DD's ears pierced before?? I never got them done with DD when she was little because i was worried that it would disturb her breastfeeding (always lying on her side to feed). But the past couple of weeks she has been gettign really keen on earings, when i put some in my ears she asks if she can have some too, and she puts on her play jewelry earings all the time. When i ask her if she'd like some earings aswell, she always keenly says yes. She is two. Any opinions or advice? She is very clever (i know i sound biased but she is, haha), she quite clearly talks and easily has conversations with you. anyway gtg

Hey Telly- DD got her ears pierced when she was 5 but they got terribly infected so we took them out and she got them done again a year later. DH didnt want her to get them done until she was 10 (actually he said she couldnt ever get them done and 10 was his compromise) but after her begging he finally said yes. If you do get them done make sure you get 2 people to do them at the same time otherwise she will be walking around with only 1 ear pierced lol!

Ears piercing is funny - I always said that I wouldn't do it because I'd let my child be the judge on when she would get it done - but probably not before 10.. LOL

I think I got mine done at 13 or something? All closed over now though. I won't get the girls done until they really acknowledge what it is I think, and (in my opinion only of course) I don't think they can really get the gist of what it truly means until they are over.. um.. maybe 4?

Of course if Aricyn wants his done, we will let him get it done after 10.. LOL

Yeah mon, i'm starting to regret not getting hers done when she was young (like you did with neisha). When i was preg i always said i'd get them done, then i just never did! And to be honest, i don't really think it was the whole bfing thing, i think it was more of a laziness thing - it wasn't necessary so i was just too slack!

Arimeh yeah i know , she understands what earings are and that she'd like some, but she doesn't understand that its going to hurt. And i agree, around 4 is probably when she'll fully grasp the concept.

Ubba was there a reason for them becoming infected? or was it just one of those things?

Mum got mine pierced when i was young, she can't remember what age, but she said i was little (not a baby around 3), i can't remember anything about it.

Anyway, my bestie is moving to melbourne on monday, so tonight there were drinks to say goodbye. Well, i had softdrink! It was heaps of fun, just the family and a couple of close friends, we played balderdash - how great is that game! I wanted to stay, but i pushed the boundaries as is, and didn't get home till 10:15. DD was knackered poor munchkin. DH stayed there, he is absolutely blotto - they've been doing shooters since about 6 So i'm guessing i'm going to have 3 kids to look after tomorrow! haha.

Theo was a bit hard to settle for bed, i think he's got a bit of wind. I put him on his belly and patted his bum and he's settled off now. I'm a bit worried about him being on his belly, but i've got the angelcare moniter so he should be fine. Its also raining here, so the sound of the rain on the roof is very relaxing! i hope he has a good couple of hours.

anyway, i'm off to bed. I hope you're all having a good night xx

Yup tis tough!! It will get easier and then you'll wonder why you were ever thinking it was tough in the first place

Snowy - hahaha - you poor thing - I would have been sooo embarrassed. I'm sure he didn't even bat an eyelid, could have been a bikini top - lord knows its hot enough up there!!!

Telly - you are so cute I can honestly say that I feel that about my kids now, but I didn't with DS - things were pretty tough there for a while when becoming a mum for the first time.

Things here are pretty good, I think DD2 isn't vomiting as much as she used to, maybe the lactose free formula is working for her!

It's DS's 3rd birthday today - so I can no longer say I have 3 under 3!! Dang it, now I have to say I have 3 kids, 3 and under - its so much more of a mouthful.. bwahahaha

I think he had a good time at his party (pics on facebook for people that are my friends on there) not many guests, but he's pretty shy around heaps of people, so it was probably a good amount. Didn't stop him from hiding under the table when we were singing happy birthday to him though

    Hello Ladies!!!

Telly: with DD i always said i'd never get her ears pierced until she asked... well she asked when she was two! I explained to her that it would really HURT (she was clever too, just like Kaili!! I'm not biased either! haha) and she said she didn't mind so we got them done and she didn't even cry! Got both ears done at the same time though, and these days you can use Emla cream so they don't even feel a thing. I got mine done at 5 and didn't cry either.

Archie was really good yesterday, a bit clingy still but at least having a few decent sleeps, anyway, last night he cracked it and was screaming for two hours! Ended up giving him Brauers Colic drops and he eventually went to sleep! Slept til 11am this morning though so can't really complain!

Anyway better go take down my xmas tree!! DH washed the floor the other day and literally picked up the whole tree, decorations and all, and put it outside the back door! haha! So we have this fake tree in our garden! I'm thinking of decking out the whole garden in them... at least it will be green all year round out there!

Thinking of everyone and hoping your babies are good to you!!!
Oh and Telly, I agree, I can't even go to sleep at night because I am up staring at Archie cos i love him soooooo much!!!!!

very eventful night at my house last night...

jose was drinking at my dads yest and had a few more at home then suddenly he started getting upset saying never buy him this beer again cos it was the beer his drank drank and he used to bea him and his sister with the bottles and a horse whip etc then he started crying then suddenly got really angry and he snapped.....started carrying on about how he has to protect his kids ...at first he was angry at me saying i was trying to take them but then he went into this mode like i wasnt even there and was really paranoid talking to himself saying he has to protect them from his dad(got deported) cos his dads spirit was here and he could see his dad clear as day in the house....(dad molested his lil sis from age 6-12)so he had to protect his girls then i would try talkto him and he didnt recognise me and would call me an evil spirit trying to trick him and take the kids and say he could see me sitting on the couch...sometimes he would recognize we sometimes he wouldnt and hed see me on the couch..i called my step mum to come over and she was holding hunter on the couch ....at one pointhe got frantic looking for hunter and were saying hes right here on the couch and he couldnt see him and started yelling his name looking for him........well the night ended with the cops taking him to the hosp....the dr reckons its cos he was so druk...level of .13 but hes been this drunk before and he never did this i think something happened and he just snapped....

on the plus Serenity got fed at 8pm got put in the car and taken to my step mums and slept through til 6 am so very happy with that

Gosh Mon! How scary! Hope that never happens again.

Kymmy - the idea of fake trees is tempting - I have the belief that plants shouldn't need my help to live - hence the number that have died in my care. My mum gave me a bay tree & an aloe vera plant at Xmas & I said you do remember what happened to the last bay tree (poor thing died of thirst).

We went to my Step-mum's 60th yesterday and saw her family who I haven't seen for about 8 years. DS1 had a wee accident in his car seat so my Dad took Mr I inside while we got the seat cover off. When I got into the house I had to search to find Mr I - one of her sisters had comandeered him! Vaguely concerned about the amount of smoke residue he may have inhaled over the day, but only very vaguely concerned.

I managed to spill my lunch all over myself, but Mr I didn't spew on me once which is surprising as he normally overflows after a feed and then brings a bit more up a bit later. Today he's back to normal programming!

My sister made a huge black forest cake for the party & I got to take some leftovers home - so good!

Dad tells us yesterday that my uncle who we saw the weekend before Xmas has whooping cough. And DH (the hypocondriac that he is) says oh I was wheezing last night, hope its not whooping cough! I think its just the same cold that DS1 had last week, but that's the way to make a mum worry! Must make doc's appointment for the vacs tomorrow.
