Heavenly wow I hope Jose is ok? Are you coping on your own or is he back home again? I am jealous of Serenity sleeping through although I think you may have missed he benefits of it after all the excitement...Keep us posted..

Kymmy isnt it awful when they scream and nothing seems to work? Dh usually mentions hed like to take her to the hospital but I keep having to explain that it is normal (even though sometimes I wonder lol) Imagine if you rocked up and they just laughed and sent you home to make nois in your own house lmao..

Arimeh Happy birthday to your little man, I dont think we are friends on fb, my nme is Natalie Frederikos - White if you want to befriend me lol

Damn... V woke up so this is where the posting gets sloppy lol....

Natty - I'll put a request through Way to go on the boob flashin hehe

Heavenly - wow sounds full on - are you still together?

Well we had 3 kids last night totally wired from yesterday's party and junk food, so none of them would settle down (although of course DD2 hadn't had any junk food). DD1 was up to her normal tricks of just playing in bed instead of going to sleep, DS was too wound up and wouldn't crash, and DD2 wouldn't settle either!! I was nearly ripping my hair out with frustration and all DH would say was "see.. this is what stops me from wanting #4 - we might get another bad sleeper!!"

They all eventually got to sleep around 9pm I think - DD1 was the last to settle though, even though she was so freakin tired her eyes were rolling back into her head with every blink, she still felt the need to put her foot up to her ear and muck around

We decided not to wake DD1 for a feed at 10 (since she hadn't been asleep for a while) so I fed her around 7.30pm and she woke up at 2.30 - finally got her resettled at 4am and then DD1 was up at 5 so DH got up to her and then DD2 woke me at 7 - DS got up then as well. So wasn't too bad, still want more sleep though.. haha

Nearly time for another feed I think - plus better go play with the kids, even though they are watching whatever is on TV at the moment!!

Hi Girls - I've been down at the farm house all weekend so have missed heaps!

On the earrings debate, I guess it's "each to their own". Personally I don't think I'll get Amelia's ears pierced until she's a bit older, my niece was 5 and I think that's a good age. I wasn't allowed to get mine done until I was 12 and then I wanted my second holes done when I was 15 so of course to p off my mum I got some ice and a pin and over a few days managed to pierce my own! Of course I only did one ear because it hurt too much to do the other (LOL), it ended up pretty infected too but managed to keep it. My mum didn't notice until I was 18, funny! Even funnier is I didn't get the other side done until I was 21, just keep forgetting! I rarely wear earrings in the second holes these days.

Hi Mon - wow that's bizarre about Jose, is he ok now? Sounds like he was having some sort of reaction to the alcohol - almost like he was hallucinating, how scary. Very sad about his upbringing too poor thing. My father was a bit violent too, he used to throw things and hit mum, luckily I was too young to remember a lot of it but I remember enough. Not nice to grow up in that environment but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!

AFM - I think my roids or fissure (I do think it's more likely the latter) is getting a bit better with the cream, doesn't hurt as much but I still look forward to the day I can go to the toilet without grimacing! Sorry if TMI. I'm going to get myself some fenugreek today to try and increase my milk supply, it's been ok but still not good enough to avoid the formula feeds at nearly every feed now. Not that I mind doing that but I really want to continue BF'ing as much as I can but still happy to do both. Some is better than none huh! Amelia is doing great though, she's 6 weeks old today, I can't believe how fast the time has gone, does everyone else feel the same? It just feels like yesterday that I was waiting for her due date to come, it's quite scary how fast it's going. She is really smiling heaps now, especially when you talk to her, it's so adorable it makes my heart melt. I can't wait for the gooing sounds to go with it, had a couple but nothing obvious. She's also still sleeping well at night, getting on average 4-5 hours now, got 6 again last night, she went down at 9.30 pm and woke at 3.30 am, then fed and went back down until 6.30 am. It makes such a difference when they sleep a little longer, hope it lasts!

Today I'm off to the OT, haven't been since before I had Amelia and I'm hanging out for it, my neck, back and shoulders are so sore from BF'ing, most probably my bad posture, I'm taking Amelia as the therapist wants to meet Amelia, I've been going to her for 5 or so years, she's excited to meet her. I hope she's quiet while I'm there LOL! Then I'm off to see a friend for an hour. I have a busy week this week, hope it's not too much for Amelia, now I can drive AND lift the pram I'm going to start getting out more. Tomorrow I thought I'd take a trip into the city to see my work crew - might catch the train though, hate driving into the city, parking alone sux! Then Wednesday catching up with my aqua class girls for morning tea. We're going to discuss doing a mums and bubs swimming class, I really need to get into exercise now I can, I've got 8 kgs to lose! Who said BF'ing made you lose weight, I'm still waiting!!!!!!! People say I don't look like I need to lose it but I've got 8 kgs, got a pudgy gut still and I think my thighs are looking a bit sad ha ha.

Oh and I think I might have gotten AF, my bleeding stopped nearly 2 weeks ago and just a few days ago started again, it's not very heavy though but I'm sure it's proper AF as I have some slight cramps and my boobs are a bit sore - although what's new there ha ha! I didn't think you got AF while you were breastfeeding so there you go....just shows how much I don't know!!!!!

Sorry, I have totally rambled on, hope you're all having a fab day with your bubs. xx

yeah hes fine now....doesnt remember any of it he was hallucinating he said he could see his dad standing there clear as day and he had to protect his girls cos his dad wanted to rape them, he would also see me sitting on the couch and talk to me and pat my imaginary head when i was right infront of him and say i was an evil spirit and he could see me sitting on the couch....i just which i knew why it happened its hard to prevent something when you dont know the trigger....the dr kept saying it was cos he was drunk but hes been that drunk before and usually passes out.....who knows just glad to have the normal one back...made me realise how much he loves me and the kids though

Hi! this is just a selfish one now seeing as I am just so excited lol!!!!

I think soon Ill be able to have a pee in peace because....

V is letting me put her down!!!! Woop! She sat in her bouncer for 1/2 hour and sat in her swing today too while I put some groceries away...Oh yeah...we went shopping too!!! I knew I just had to get out and start doing stuff and Id feel more confident.

I bought an ergo carrier today too and she promptly fell asleep in it so I could get on with the shopping...Unbelievable.

I have started putting her in the cot for her day sleeps as she is getting long and the tetra bed wont last too much longer so thought Id try getting her in her own bed at least for the daytime lol..I tried to get her in there last night but she kept cracking it so at 130am I gave up, took her into our bed and in the semi dark I see this little face looking up at me an smiling and silent laughing...I couldnt believe it lol...

    Oh happy days...(sings)

How bizzare Mon... that would have creeped me out! I hate scary things, can't watch ghost movies etc, so i would have been well and truly spooked. Yep it definately sounds like he loves you guys a whole lot - which is really sweet I love it when men get protective of their families, nothing sexier! Glad he's ok tho, and you guys aswell. I believe in spirits and ghosts (hence the reason i get so spooked easily), so you never know - maybe he really did see something? especially if its not the first time he's been that drunk.

ALison glad to hear your holiday went well and that amelia is smiling heaps. Theo is smiling constantly, hehe, isn't it just the best? He is starting to make the gooing noises when i talk to him - melts my heart Head into the BFing threads, they've got heaps and heaps of tips for increasing your supply too, but i think the main one is the more amelia feeds - the more milk you will create. I make sure i have a serve of alphafa (sp?) a day, which supposidly helps, and also a glass of activate. Oh also a beer before bed is another. Have a squizz, i'm sure you'll find some things that will work for you.

Oh Theo is awake - finally!! been waiting for ages!! i need to knick up to the video store to return DVDs

    hi girls....

random question.. how big are your babies front fontanel??????? Ellas was about the size a pinky could fit in at brith (was told this was smaller than usual) and has gotten slightly smaller since. i have to take her to see a pediatrician to disgus it. as long as it stays open its perfictly fine and it may just be that she has a small fontanel... but the fact it has gotten smaller is not a good sign and if it closes she would need surgery to reopen it. this hole thing has me soooooooo freaked out!!!! but just out of interest how big are your babies front fontanels??????????

Billy: Weird cos i was just googling fontanelles cos Archie's feels like it is a bit sunken. His is about the size of a ten cent piece (but in a triangular shape iykwim?) I was worried cos yesterday he didn't really have as many wet nappies as he usually has and my boobs were quite engorged, even though i didn't notice that he was drinking any less.. i am pretty sure he was still drinking the same amount. So i was just starting to panic too but i have given him boobies since and it doesn't feel as sunken now.. but still it is a bit worrying. I think i'll feed him as much as he'll drink and just keep an eye on it cos he doesn't seem unwell.

I was just reading about vaccinations.... probably shouldn't have done that cos now I am questioning whether i want to get him immunised!!! It is pretty scary stuff.. is everyone getting their bubs done? DD is immunised, i never researched anything back then. I definately see the good in it but after reading about it just then i am starting to question it!!! AHHHHH! What do i do???? It says some of the vaccines contain things like cells from aborted human foetuses!!!!!! WTF!? Amongst other yucky things. I will do some more research me thinks....

Went food shopping today and it was a bit of a disaster! Had Archie in the wrap and he cried about halfway through the shops so i had to hurry the rest of the way and pull him out of the wrap.. so i had to push the trolley with one hand which is really hard to do when it is full!!

Mon: That is very strange about Jose! I hope that never happens again!! You must have been so scared...

Sorry no persies but i gotta go cook dinner before Archie wakes up!!!!!

Hi Billykat - what is a fontanelle and how do you know if it's normal etc? I'm assuming it has something to do with their head?

Hi Kymmy - I haven't read up on vaccinations but I will get them done, I think it's important and I'd worry if I didn't, can't win! I saw a story on the news tonight about the plastics in babies bottles, anyone else see that? I'm now on the internet purchasing bottles without this stuff in it as it's really bad for bubbies, or anyone for that matter. Avent in America and Canada make them without it but not here in Australia, you can order the American ones through the web, I googled Avent bottles in Australia - well DH did but I can give you more details on the link if interested as I saved it to my faves. I figure it's worth looking into in case you need to use them as backups, like I do!

Hi Telly - I bought some fenugreek today so we'll see how it goes. No-one can say I haven't tried!

Hi Natty - wahoo! How exciting for you. Nothing better than being able to pee in peace. I'm finding I am lucky if I get lunch for myself!

Hi Mon - maybe DH did see something, alcohol induced or not....I believe in all that kind of thing so you never know. Perhaps avoid that beer next time!!!

Okay, both of them are down! hooray! DH is away tonight, so its a bit achievment to have them both sound asleep, haha. DD the little turd took and hour and a half to go to sleep!!! Put her in bed at 8pm, read story, lights out. 930 she FINALLY drifts off!! grrrr!!! Its horrible cause i don't like walking out and leaving her cry, so i sit in her room with her till she dozes off. And with DH away, i have Theo sitting in the room with me ( i sit on her bedside table). Needless to say bfingo on a bedside table isn't the most comfortable position! lol!

Billy that is pretty scary.. I hope the pediatrician can help ease your mind. Nohting worse than worrying about your kids.. they're so precious to you it can get really upsetting Theo is asleep now, so i'm not going to have a feel, but i'll have a feel tomorrow. The MWs always feel it at the checkups and say its feeling good... not sure exactly what good feels like tho! I'm sure she will be fine, positive thoughts mate!

Kymmy - nah i haven't read much into anti immunisation articles. I got DD immunised, and i'll be getting Theo done too. I think it would be similar to the whole circumcision thing, if you google circumcision you seem get nothing but negative. Because there are so many negative articles. If your seriously thinking about not getting him done do the research on both sides, negative and positive. When we went and got Theo circ, i was introduced to alll these incredible articles at the pediatric urologists that i really wish were available online - would have made me even more confident in our decision leading up to the event. Its totally you and your DH's personal decision (as was ours with theo). But in regards to needles, It scares me the thought of my kids dying from something that could have been prevented had they had immunisations (such as whooping cough). I even got mine and DH's whooping cough immunisation done about 3 weeks ago, cause it just freaks me out! Maybe even speak to your GP about it"? I"m sure they'd have heaps of useful info to help in your decision?
Thanks for the tips on ear piercing too. I'm glad i'm not the only one who would get ears pierced at two! lol! Actually reading it has made me want to get hers done even more. THis afternoon she bought it up again, as she spotted a pair of euroballs on the bathroom vanity. So i'll talk to DH about it when he gets home.
That sucks RE the shopping trip, grocery shopping is the worst!!! it would suck if they wanted a feed half way through.. i mean serious what do you do? leave your trolley, walk out, and start again later? lol!!

Hey natty - great hearing from you matie!! hows the ergo carrier going? Where did you get it from? I was looking at them online, but i don't have a credit card, so couldn't purchase one. We dont' have any places that stock them here in mackay either. Did you get the pink one?? cause it was super cute.. haha! I ended up getting a babyborn (the air one). And ive heard heaps of bad reports on them but seriously.. i LOVE mine! Its so comfy, Theo loves it, and it makes my shopping trips so much easier! LOL at V smiling at you in the middle of the night! hahaha, how could you not laugh at that? Cheeky little girl xx

Arimeh - Happy birthday to your little man! I can not believe how young your kids are! Did you plan on having them all so close? I love their names too, especially Kelti - how beautiful How was it having them all so close after 2 c-sect too? I thought you had to wait between each one?

AFM did painting with DD this arvo while DS was asleep. I've got the mummy guilts up today. Does anyone else get these? I feel so sad for DD, her whole world has been turned upside down. Before DS was born were were doing something fun everyday easily, now... she's lucky if i go outside to hang out washing I'm trying to make an effort, but its just so hard... Poor little thing, everytime theo leaves my arms she is straight there, "mum, pick up kaili?" And then i pick her up and she said "cuddles mum, kisses mum", and sits there cuddling me - as if she knows that she doesn't get that time much so she savours the moment Poor little chicken. I'm constantly cranky at her, waking up theo, messing the bed i just made, leaving her toys on the floor, not eating her breakfast - she is just a kid telly!!!!! LEAVE HER BE!!! I hope things settle in soon and we're back to doing a fun thing daily. We started swimming lessons again last week, so i suppose thats better than nothing. Oh and we have playgroup tuesdays and thursdays (which i attend like clockwork - those mums are my sanity! loL!!) - but it still doesn't seem like enough.....

Madame how is everything going for you?? I've been thinking of you heaps.. I hope TUlly is settling in well. Or are you having a similar problem? Gosh i hope not. Did your DH have time off after harper was born? Hope all is well xx

Okay, i better head to bed. Already missed out on an hour! haha! damn bellybelly - its a time stealer!

Arimeh - Happy birthday to your little man! I can not believe how young your kids are! Did you plan on having them all so close? I love their names too, especially Kelti - how beautiful How was it having them all so close after 2 c-sect too? I thought you had to wait between each one?
Yup all kids were totally planned - I don't think I expected to fall pregnant so quickly with DD2 though because I had an infection after my second c-section and I was expecting it to take a while (because it can affect fertility). And you only really need to wait between c-sections if you want a VBAC - and only 18 months between births, so I did that with DS and DD1 (there is just under 19 months between them) and yeah, mucked up the timing with the other two, so there is 16 months between them.. LOL.. whoops!

When we (well, most likely) go for #4, we will aim for the same age gap between DD2 and the new baby as there is between DS and DD1 - I liked the 19 months age gap, it was good. Much easier than the 16 months I have between the two younger ones, Kelts is just so young, and doesn't really talk that much yet, so its much harder to deal with her and getting her to understand that mummy can't hold her at the moment etc, it was much easier with DS. But his language skills were far better than hers are too - plus he wasn't having bottles of milk still, he was having sippy cups - which he held himself. Kelts STILL won't hold her own bloody bottle - does our head in

Anyhoo sorry bout that - crapped on a bit there.

Oh - and about the baby bjorn - most of the reviews are about how bad they are for the baby's spine (because bubs just sorta hangs there by its armpits basically) whereas carriers such as the ergo support bubs spine because they create a little seat for them to sit in, so they are much better for a developing spine - thats why people have a problem with ones like baby bjorn But hey, its good to know that they are comfy for people cos I had a cheap version of one (the Tomy ones from Big W) and it was uncomfy as all ****. Pulled on my shoulders something shocking!!!

    Sorry, off track there.

Mon - I'm glad he is back to normal.

Kymmy - immunisations is a tricky one. We have DS and DD1 fully immunised - but are rethinking getting DD1's 18 month ones done. And questioning getting DD2 done. WE are thinking that we will get SOME of them done, like ones that they can actually die from (ie whooping cough) but delay some of the others, measles, chicken pox etc. I was going to start up a thread actually to see which ones I should definitely be getting. But its all so confusing!!! Does my head in most times, so I haven't been thinking about it.

Better go, have another inspection this morning, so got to keep tidying up!! DD2 is asleep still (only had to resettle her three times already) and DD1 and DS are playing behind me and sorta watching tv.. but sorta not.. LOL

Hope all are well and getting lots of sleep (unless your kids are like mine.. bwahaha)

    Hi Girls!

Wow Arimeh - going for number 4!!!! What a trooper, two will be plenty for me, although I am 37 this year so no way would I have the energy for four, let alone the time to squeeze them out before I'm in a zimmer frame ha ha! So 18 months is the leeway between c-sections? Is that if you want a VBAC? I thought we'd start trying end of this year in case it takes a while, only took 4 months with Amelia so hopefully won't take any longer but you never know!

I'm off to the city to visit my work crew today, although am a bit miffed as one of the girls I organised coming in with last week just told me my boss is away so he's not even there!!! Grrr....means I'll have to go back another time cause I've already arranged lunch with some friends in there.

    Well, best go get ready!

Yup if you are wanting a VBAC thats the recommended amount of time between births. Having said that I had 16 months between mine - so depends who your care provider is I suppose.

My sister has had 4 c-sections, the last two being a year apart exactly (her 3rd child was stillborn, and she fell pregnant with her second daughter 3 months later).

Argh finally got Theo down. On his belly. Again. Oopsie! It seems to be the only way he'll settle these days..

Natty V is just GORGEOUS! Dark hair and blue eyes, just lovely! Dad will be fighting those boys off with a wooden bat in years to come, haha.

Oh - and about the baby bjorn - most of the reviews are about how bad they are for the baby's spine (because bubs just sorta hangs there by its armpits basically)
They must have changed them Arimeh, cause my Baby bjorn is nothing like that at all. Theo is supported by his bum, You can put there arms out the little arm holes if you choose, but Theo places his hands against my boobs and kinda nuzzles into his hands/boob area iykwim. But yea, doesnt sounds like the one i bought at all, he is totally supported by his bum, and then the padding supports his back and body. Actually it seems very similar to the one in your FB photo, except there is a spot for his legs to come out.

Snowy i hope Mr I sleeps well tonight, poor little man. ANd i hope your arm doesn't end up totally dead! mine was a bit achey for a couple of days, and DHs was like it for a week (but he also gets bad cases of man sickness, and needs to harden up, lol).

Alison hope your visit went well too, what a PITA that your boss wasn't even there!

Billy i checked theo's. Its probably the size of a 10cent piece (same as whoever said that, lol, bad memory!). But 10c piece in a funny shape iykwim. I really hope all is well xx

Okay, i'm off to check out the target catalogue - they have a baby sale on and i'm feeling rich... ish.. hahaha

    xx
