Heyyyy!!! Hi girls, sorry I have been incredibly slack, I have been reading your posts but mostly when I have Oliver on the boob and I can't really reply. All is well here, Oliver is a dream baby, he just does everything he should, 6 weeks yesterday, time flies!!! but he is gorgeous, I am enjoying him sooo much and because I know we aren't having anymore I am taking it all in and sad that this is the last time that I will have a newborn!! Rylee and Finn are great with him, playing with each other more now that I am feeding alot, etc and also fighting alot more. It is busy with three but not as bad as I expected. Okay, he has just woken up, sorry I am not personally replying to each, will try and get on here more often. Have a wonderful Easter, Melissa enjoy your time at Adam's grandparents house.. Hope the Easter Bunny visits you all.

Hey Laurin, great to hear from you. Its pretty busy hey? Glad things are going well for you though.
We took Rebeccas tt up a notch and shes been doing really well for nearly 3 weeks. She does have the occassional accident... both wees or poos and needs a lot of reminders, but all in all we are getting there!!
Amy has cut her first tooth and shes not sleeping well. I have the flu and feel pretty terrible.
We were on page 3, so Im putting us back up top!!!
How are you all?
We are ok, besides being sick for the past few weeks. Hopefully everyone is on the mend and we can get back to normal!!!
Rebecca is well, getting big and stubborn and cheeky but shes very cute all the same. i think that kid could talk under water!! Shes doing really well with tting. I started out on nights about 2 weeks ago but she got really sick with tonsilitis and an ear infection and she wet the bed so I popped her back in a pull up. Tonight shes in undies so hopefully she should be ok! She still has the odd accident.... like at bunnings the other day she shat her dacks..... and then we had to go home!!!! It was funny because of all the times that i decided to leave her change at home she had to have an accident!!!
Mel, how'd Rebecca go the other night in undies? Im having a few dramas with Lara's tt-ing. At home she is in undies all day and doesn't have any accidents and will happily sit on the toilet when I ask her to go but she wont pee & poo on the toilet. She wears a pull up for her day sleep and at night so I think she must be saving it all for when she has the pull up on. She is getting plenty of fluids but even her nappies aren't that wet when I take them off her. Any suggestions on how I can get her to pee/poo on the toilet? Like I said, she wears undies all day when she is awake but never wees them or anything but surely she must need to go to the toilet?! She isn't afraid of the toilet and when she sees me pee she praises me and tells me I am a good girl for weeing on the toilet like a big girl. I just don't know what to do, any suggestions?
I see by fb that you are starting to get rid of all your baby gear, does this mean no more? I've started getting rid of mine too. I packed up a heap of baby clothes and put them in the charity bin the other day, I must admit that I shed a tear packing the clothes up, no more babies.
Speaking of babies, Lexie is 1 in less than a month, I can't believe she is almost one already. The lazy thing still isn't crawling. Shes is trying really hard though and getting frustrated that she can't go forward, she seems to caterpillar her way backwards around the floor though so she still gets around. She loves her walker though, she zips around the house in that. I asked the paed if I should be concerned that she isn't crawling and he said no coz she is trying and that some babies never crawl and go straight onto walking. It doesn't help that she doesnt enjoy tummy time. In a way I can't wait for her to crawl but in a way I am glad she isnt coz she isn't getting into everything. I have no idea what to get her for her birthday, being my 3rd girl it is very hard to find something that we don't already have or need.
Hey Rebecca... mmm yep, sadly we had a talk last night and unless we come into loads of money, we wont be having any more. I really would love another but I can see Adams point of view about affordability and the major changes we would need to do to fit another person in our already too small house! My tummy is churning a bit thinking about it but I will just have to deal with it! I'll get rid of everything and if we decide to go another down the track then..... yeah!
As for the tt.... Becca went really well and has been without a night nappy for the past 5 nights or so. She still has the odd accident though.... like tonight she didnt get her pants down coz she was too busy eating a banana!!! Anyway, initially I was popping her on the toilet every half hour or so just to see if she would wee. Sometimes I still do it if I notice if she hasnt been for a while. I just sit her on there and tell her to give the toilet a drink!!! Or for her poos to have a poo party!!! We make it fun/funny! Sometimes it work... sometimes not!!!
Dont worry too much about the crawling..... Amy only just started rolling at 7.5 months. She is lazy so I can just see her not crawling/walking for ages. Does Lexie sit by herself .... actually when did she start? Amy doesnt... she doesnt do much, although shes such a beautiful placid girl Cant believe Lexie is nearly 1. Cant offer you any suggestions for pressies coz Im in the same boat... maybe clothes?
Lexie started rolling at 4 months but then stopped all of a sudden & never started rolling again til almost 8 months. She never sat up until 9mths whereas Cadence and Lara were sitting at 8 mths. Lara was crawling at 8 mths and Cadence was later crawling at 10 mths. Lexie is a very chubby baby, Cadence was too, so I don't know if this has something to do with the late crawling? Also lexie has been a much more clingier baby than the other two & I'm holding her a lot more so that probably doesn't help. I'm trying to give her as much tummy time as possible & spend time with her on the floor but you know what it's like with 3 kids and how busy you are or one of the other kids wants/needs something.
I'd love another baby too. It's physically impossible for me with my bad uterus & having my tubes tied but I am sooo clucky. But even if I was able to have more I doubt we would.
Rebecca is doing so well with her tt-ing, hopefully Lara will get the hang of it soon. Doesn't make it easy now it's getting cold & Lara has been wearing long pants.
the more I think about it the more I could have another one! but really, coming from having 1 sister and 6 brothers and not being able to do much at all due to finance, I think we should stop here!
Hope Lara goes ok with tt.... it is really hard. Maybe you could let her do a nudie run at home when your not going anywhere, just so she can get the hang of it?
I try not to compare my girls with the milestones but its hard when like yours, the older 2 have done everything much earlier! I suppose I should appreciate shes not moving so much because Im not too worried about all the little stuff that has to be picked up and I can 'train' the girls now to pick up after themselves before she starts moving. I love chubby babies. Amy has rolls... she reminds me of the michelin (sp?) man!
Hi Mel, I see from fb you have packed up all of Amy's baby clothes to get rid of, its devastating hey. I am still sad about not being able to have another baby. It was so upsetting when I packed up all of the baby clothes and put them in the charity bins. DH wasnt upset, theyre only clothes after all and couldn't understand why I shed a few tears while packing them up. Lexie is one next Thursday, so technically I only have 8 more sleeps of having a baby before she becomes a toddler, I already know I am going to cry on her birthday. I am so clucky still. Cadence is 6 already and I can still remember her as a baby, they grow up way too fast
Oh no, youre making me well up!!! I feel really sick! Im still not on any contraception so..... but I doubt it! I go back to work next week for a few days a week. I havent worked in 3 years!
How did the tting go? Becca has wet herself a few days in a row as she insists on using the spare toilet which she cant reach the handle properly and cant get onto the toilet and doesnt make it!!!
Wow... happy birthday to Lexie..... not too long and Amy will be a toddler too! Oh I feel sick in the tummy!
Ooh Mel imagine if you were utd, when is AF due? What days are you going back to work? Are you looking forward to it? Hope it all goes well for you. I've given up on tt-ing at the moment. School holidays start at the end of next week so I will concentrate on doing it then, Cadence will be home & can help me encourage Lara. We're having Lexie's christening/1st birthday party on Saturday the 25th June, hope everything goes to plan.
Hehe... that would be funny if I was utd! I have no idea when af is due. I have only had 2 since Amy was born and they were 38 days apart. So should be due sometime at the end of next week. I have an induction day on Monday and I think I might do night shift mabe 2 nights a week. Probably Sunday and Monday night. That way Ad will be home to look after the girls and we dont have to think about cars! Good luck with tt-ing, it really needs 100% effort doesnt it!
Great to hear how you have been going. We havn't started toilet training Finny yet, though he is showing interest and has on very odd occasions done poos and wees on the toilet. But I was planning on waiting until Ollie was breastfeeding a bit less and then starting doing it as I know you have to be onto it. We are all well, kids are fine, it is tiring with three that is for sure. Ollie is doing well, his sleep seems to be going a bit haywire but what can you do, just a phase I guess. Okay, better go and make some pikelets before Ollie wakes up. Laurin xxx
Hey Laurin, great to hear from you and that you and your kids are going well. Hopefully Ollie's sleep improves for you soon. It is tiring having 3 kids. I would wait until your breastfeeding less before tt-ing Fin too. I'm not breastfeeding anymore but struggling to find the time, with school runs etc, that's why hopefully the school holidays will be a good time for me to do Lara. I just need to plan to be home for a few days in a row. Lara is fine in pants with no accidents and happy to sit on the toilet but she waits for her arvo sleep to do it all in her nappy. Maybe I need to eliminate a nappy altogether but don't fancy changing sheets everyday.
Mel, it sounds like you've got everything worked out in regards to going back to work. My AF has been all over the place since having Lexie too.
Hey Laurin... great to hear all is well.
Leigh.... I was thinking about getting my tubes tied but im not ready and Adam asked me what if we wanted another one down the track! Gggrr. I want another one with a similar gap otherwise not at all! So now I have to think of contraception. I dont want to go on the pill and am a bit scared of the iud!!!
One thing I like about having my tubes tied is I don't have to worry about contraception. I got the implanon in while I was in hospital when I had Lara but bled constantly for 5 months until I got it removed but other people I know have been fine with it & love it. If I didn't have my tubes tied now then I wouldnt know what to use either coz my dr said the depo injection would cause the same thing that the implanon did, I hate the pill & didn't want the mirena.
At least Adam is open to the idea of more kids in the future. I think if my body could handle another that my DH would've been open to the idea too but like you guys our finances would have to stretch to accommodate another.
I'd be happy to not take anything until we decide its definately finished. Then I would be happy to get my tubes tied. See I have always started thinking about ttc from now on and then I would fall pg by the time they were 1. If I can get to Jan/Feb and not be pg then I probably wont be!!!
A friend of mine has 3 kids & wanted a 4th but her DH said no. She felt the same as you & I but once her youngest turned about 18 mths - 2 years she was actually happy they only had 3 kids & that the youngest was out of the real baby stage etc. It was easier for them to go out & do things etc so i am hoping I will feel that way too, I've got no choice as there is definitely no more babies coming into this house.
