Emma, you do sound like you had a tough time. I wasn't in labour for 40 hours but I did have a similar dramatic ending to it all.

Lou, PBR, Jen - we're just starting to have settling issues. Last night Poppy cried for hours for no apparent reason. Then she suddenly quietened when DP handed her over to me. She did it again this afternoon. She didn't want milk or water, her nappy was clean, she didn't seem too hot or too cold, she didn't seem to want a cuddle and if it was wind, the offending burp didn't come out. She fell asleep when I put her in the hugabub and went for a walk but then cried again when I put her to bed. I am hoping this isn't a new trend. I need a bit more sleep to recover from the infection. I'm still feeling quite knocked around from it.
