Mia is still on formula and still has her 2 bottles a day, morning and night. Ive never tried giving her, her milk in a cup, she only has water in a sippy an a straw cup. She drinks 240mls of milk in the morning and about 160 mls before bed.
On another note... its so friggin hot! about 44 here atm! Been a big weekend with celebrating my 22nd bday yay!

Hmmm once again are girls are pretty simular - however B has the 150mls in the morning and 200-240mls of a night time!
How come u still got Miss Mia on formula?
Kylie - im going to keep trying with giving it to B in a cup and cold! but i dont think she will ever like it - she dosent even like it cold on her cereal!
hj - i sometimes just put the milk in the microwave to just take off the chill - about 20 seconds. DS likes it better. I try and make sure he has at least 3 serves of dairy a day as that is the recommended amount - about 500 mls all up. He has cereal, yoghurt, sliced cheese and milk at night.
Hollye - I have a 'special' cup just for milk which is different to the water ones and he knows exactly what goes in it lol
Harms - Miss Mia is still on formula because..... u remember when she was always sick and ended up in hospital? Well she was.. like bad bad sicknesses. So on a whim i put her back on formula at about 13 ish months. Shes almost 15 months and hasnt been sick since, not even a cough or a runny nose and she is so much more settled and a much happier bub. I dont think she was ready for cows milk and she needed some more nutrients to build her immune system up a little. So shes now on S26 GOLD Step 2 and i think she will be probably till she is about 2.
Olive is still on goats milk formula and has just started cutting down to 2 bottles though sometimes in the morning she will have half a half strength bottle. I always thought I would go to fresh goats milk but find the formula earier to transport and way more convenient.
I've finally had some success on the sleep front. Olive has been self setting for the past 3 days-woohoo.
I went to the clinic on tues and the nurse wanted to send me to Karitane as Olive was waking up to 5 times per night and having a bottle through the night. So anyway I went and got 'No Cry Sleep Solution For Toddlers and Preschoolers' from the library and started a new sleep routine and it has worked. No tears, no fuss. She is still waking 1-2 times but it is better then 5 and once she get the self settling down pat hopefully that will stop soon. I really want her sleeping through before I TTC april/may.
When is everyone else hoping to have their next bub?
Well i have been on the search for a day care mum who will look after Miss B for 2-3hrs 1 day a week (not all weeks) in the evening for when i start Uni and finally have found someone!
I have had many sleepless nights and cried many tears at the thought of leaving her with a stranger but if i want to achieve my dream than i really don't have much of a choice - got no one else to look after her!
Also she has weened herself down to 1 bottle a day now - which is before bed! wow she has been pretty good with calling all the shots and weening herself of things! we haven't had to "force" her!
HJ - thats the same with me.. i cant bear the thought of leaving her with someone else. So im looking at doing a doula course at home. I do need to finish my hairdressing and i want to get into midwifery myself, but im just not ready to leave her just yet. Im so proud of u for taking the step and i hope u find somewhere good for B to go Awsome about the 1 bottle too. Mia is still having her 2.. and still on formula.. havent tried to give it to her in a cup..
All good here. Mia talks so much now and can easily put 2-3 words together and I only have to say something about 2 times before she picks it up and repeats it. She still only has 4 teeth, but i think some more top ones are on their way. Ummm not sure if i said this but i gave Mia peanut butter and she was fine and loves it! yay! Shes growing up very quickly... every day she is different and learning something new.
HJ,, it will do Bianca a world of good and you as well. She will love playing with other kiddies and you having some you time.
Ben has gone to family daycare since the age of 15 months and he loves it.. just 1 day to give me some grocery shopping time and now jorda is going there as well. and they love and need interaction with other kids,
sharing, playing, helping, seeing etc.. its fantastic.
ALSO well done on wearing her off the bottle.. I have jorda on a cup as the maternal nurse was telling me once they have there front teeth bottles are very bad for teeth and the adult teeth when they come through, and I got rid of Jordas at 1.. so I am happy as we can go anywhere and she can drink water out of the cup.
Holl - woohooo on doing a doula course! how much u got left of your hairdressing? thanks for being proud of me! its very comforting to hear someone say that - makes me feel like i am definatly doing the right thing!
and wow how cleaver is Mia putting a few words together - the only words at this stage B puts together is "UP MUM/DAD" or "NO MUM/DAD! but has heaps of single words and is saying new words everyday
Has she got anymore teeth? B still only has 7!!!
Didi - how is the pregnancy going? im a bit more comfortable with the whole care thing for B now - and at this stage its only occassional care so its good to get me use to it!
Still struggling gettin B to have milk out of a cup tho! but at least she is only having 1 bottle a day and thats her bed time one!
Well DH has decided that Miss B is ready for the big girl bed - so right now - after a fair bit of crying and sooking she is sound asleep in her big girl bed! tonight shall be interesting!!

Pregnancy is not great at all, I have been so sick been in hospital on the drip so ya not great.. eating and drinking nothing is not very good at all.. grrrr

Glad to here the big girl bed is going well. Olive is still in the cot and will stay there for a while I think as she is just getting into a better routine.
How's work? Olive has just started getting some seperation anxiety when I leave her at day care which is hard but I know she is fine once I go.
Olive has been going well and put on a little bit of weight so we decided not to got to the pead and wait and see in a couple of months as she is healthy and happy etc.
Olive has done 3 wees on the potty this week and has been in undies all day today. No going back now. Anyone else toilet training yet?
Hollye - Olive is also saying lots of 3-5 word sentences. She says (Name) where are you? Up a daisy, all gone mum plus heaps more. Her language is amazing and she is more of a little girl each day.
CW - i don't like quiet - gone are the days of us constanly jibber jabbing in here! LOL
thats good that Olive is starting to get into a better routine! definalty don't change it and try and move her into a big girl bed! enjoy the routine while it lasts!
Works okay - might be quitting soon, not too sure how i will handle Uni, being a mum, a wife, and working, so if i have to give up something than its work!
Poor O - i hate seperation anxiety - been there done that with Miss B and that was just if i left her side, i hope she dosent go thru it again - its heartbreaking! Hopefully O dosent go thru it for long!
