SS - OoOoOoOOo your going to be an Aunty soon yay! Im so glad E loves the bed!!!! What sort of charity work you doing? (if you dont mind me asking that is). About 6 weeks till you go now.. its around the time I have my next gyno appointment. The one where i hope i have lost enough weight for her liking so she helps me fall pregnant. Thanks for the luck

Csab - V sure is a smart little chicky Congrats again on the pregnancy! Hows everything pregnancy wise going? i do remember seeing your thread around..
I have chosen for Mia not to have the swine flu vac at this stage. How many needles is it? Over what sort of period?

Starry - Yeah, i agree... TTC atm probably isnt the greatest idea but i just wanted to give you huge hugs coz i know how hard it is to want a baby so much and you have to wait and u just cant. Hang in there babe xo
On a brighter note... Jacob is doing so well! All teeth?? WOW! Poor M is still stuck on almost 10, she has cut 2 molars in the past 2 days (exhausting on my part *zzzzz* lol) I have heard the canines can be pretty rough coming through.. must be glad to see they were the last ones!
J will be letting go and running away from you before you know it Dont worry, Mia climbs in the dishwasher here too, and the clothes dryer... lucky my oven is up high or she would have a go at that too! As for the breastfeeding, you are just absalutley awesome! that is all. lol

CW - bummer about this month, i have everything crossed that next month will be your month Olive did really well in her big bed!! Hope she keeps it up for you

AFM - Not much going on here really. Mia is cutting molars so had a couple every hour wakeups this week. So not suprised if i dont lose weight this week coz i have just been a zombie and have dont **** all exercise. We will see though. My weigh in is every monday nights. Ummm still not pregnant.. still no period. What else?? Mia's fav word at the moment is "backpack" (thanks dora). She will be getting her 18 month needles sometime this week and she has her MCHN check on the 6th May, i think (ill double check that). Shes in size 6 shoes and all her clothes are size 1 except for a few 0's here and there. Last time I put her on the scales she was about 11.3kg (roughly and about 5 days ago).

    Congrats to all preggers,

    Good update Hollye!

Ok jorda weights 10kg and she is in size 18months clothes (Canadian so its by month which is fantastic)

Hollye swine flu vax is 1 injection. I had mine mmm when i found out i was pregnant this time..

We have all been super super sick... bronchilitis, tonsillitis, pnemonia.. croupe.. just fab.. I cant stand the beginning of winter when the kids tend to pic up things.

Weather it be a myth or truth as studies have shown its true,
Ben was breastfeed for 9 months and never gets sick... (knock on wood)
Jorda was breastfeed for 6 weeks and catches everything under the sun... the MCNH said that yup breasfteeding is proven to change their immunity.. well my kiddies are prime examples..
So hope I can breastfeed this little one.

Pregnancy is going well, baby moves so so so so much... never stops.. which is a good thing!

We are going to Canada again in Aug.. 2 weeks after bub is born, so will be nice to be in the wormth with a newborn waking at night!!

To those TTC I am thinking of you all..

    Hi Girls,

Just popping in to say hi and to see how you and your little ones are all going? I am doing well. I'm on the home stretch with my pregnancy now. Only 29 more sleeps to go until my caesar. My caesar is booked at 36wks on the 24th of June. I keep looking at Lara and thinking only a month left of her being my baby and then she'll be a big sister too.

    What is new with everyone?

    Hi all,

MM - Ohh thankyou, V is doing well, so very cheeky. Hows M going? Pgcy is ok, should be 9wks this Friday, so 3 more weeks until hitting the 12wks mark. So not looking forward to the hospital visits and the NT scan. Especially after what I went through with V.

Leigh - Wow GL hun, I hope all turns out well and you recover quickly from the c's. Cant wait to hear the BA. hugs

Didi - Your not that much further away than Leigh, hows little Jorda.

HJ - yay for B's weight, thats great. She is 10cms and some taller than V. V is juggling between just under 8kgs and 8kgs, well what I can tell anyway. Shes turned off her food abit lately too, so not fun when your trying to put weight on. Hows everything going with the pgcy?

Didi - With DD1 I went into labour with her at 37 wks and had a pretty hard time which resulted in her getting majorly stuck and me requiring an emergency c/s. They had to cut my uterus in the shape of an upside down T. I was told not to labour with any future pregnancies due to fear of rupture. With Lara I had a c/s booked for 38 wks but once again went into labour at 37 wks. The hospital was short staffed and I laboured for 6 hrs before going for my c/s which resulted in my uterus tearing right up and down and across (basically a + sign). Coz I definitely can't labour this time and my body likes to go into labour at 37 wks the safest thing for me and bub is to have it done at 36 wks. It's a month early but better to be safe than sorry. I am praying my body holds out for 36 wks. I am freaking I will go into labour early again. How's your pregnancy going? Do you know the sex? We don't know the sex of bub but I am convinced its another girl, if it comes out a boy I will be surprised.

Csab - Wow 9 wks already, that's gone quick. My fingers are crossed your scan and everything come back with great results. Are you going to find out the sex at your 20 wk scan when the time comes?

OMG ladies, I don't come on here for nearly a year and look what happens. Most of you are preggers again A very huge congrats to all of you.

We have had some fun this year. In February Meara and my youngest boy Tavis were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, at the same time!!!!! This is nearly unheard of in medical circles so we are getting very well known now lol. Both are handling the needles very well (4 each per day) and all the BGL tests that have to be done as well.

Meara had her 18 month needles the other week and her stats are as follows - length 83cm, weight 12.8kg, head circ 45.5cm so she is doing really well. Just have to monitor her if she gets sick as it can affect her sugar levels.

I am starting to get that baby feeling again myself so will talk to DF about maybe trying for another one lol. We are a lot older than some of you guys so it will be a bigger decision for us than most. DF is now 50 and will be 51 if we decide to go again and fall immediately and I will be 42 this year. I'm just imagining all the comments though from our families (mainly mine) about having any more. They seem to think that at 5 we should really stop now : ? We do have an extra seat in the van to use up though : ) I'm just hoping that the P/E that I had last time doesn't play up this time. Sounds like I've already made up my mind doesn't it lol.

Leigh - I hope everything goes really well for you this time and that they catch you before you go into labour. (I thought you weren't allowed to have any more after Lara???)

csab - good luck with your pregnancy too. Hope it hasn't been to hard for you.

didi - omg only 10 weeks to go and then you're off to Canada again. Is this for keeps this time or another holiday??

Hopefully I can get on here a bit more regularly now and will keep watch on everyone's chat and keep you posted on my news lol (if any)

    Take care

    Kim

Kim - Good to hear from you again. Glad to hear you are doing well. Poor Meara and your youngest son having type 1 diabetes. Sounds like they are handling it well though. From Meara's 18 mth old stats sounds like she is coming along great. Fingers crossed you can convince DF to have another baby, and don't worry about what your family will think if you do decide to have one more. No I wasn't meant to have anymore babies after Lara but this one was a bit of a slip up. Everything is going well so far and I will be fine as long as I don't labour, that's why I'm having a c/s at 36wks, I went into labour with both my girls at 37wks so hopefully I don't labour before the 36wk mark.

I just got back from the ob, everything is fine. I had a growth scan yesterday. Bub is roughly mearsuring 1.8kgs. So another smallish bub on the way. DD1 was 2.6kg born and Lara 2.7kg.

Hi to everyone I have missed. Gotta go, DD1 just arrived home from school.

Thanks hj for the welcome back. I see congrats are in order for you to I definitely will have to stay around so the baby dust rubs off lol. DF has said he wouldn't mind another one but wants to wait about 3 months to make sure we are back on the same track (had probs a couple of months ago due to DD1).
My kids that have the diabetes are my 19 month old and my 9 year old so only 1 a bubba now. My 9 yo is so good with giving himself the needles and doing all the stuff but not so good with filling in his diary lol. Had to fill in about 6 pages for him today grrrrr.

Wish you were down here studying lol would have been nice to have you with me but maybe you're taking time off as well

At xmas I took all the kids camping (yes by myself ) and I noticed that all they did was drink and pee so when we came home was waiting to see the clinic sister at our local chemist when Meara hit her head. She seemed fine but the next morning was very sleepy so took her to ER and while there told them about the excessive drinking and peeing. They tested her about an hour after that and then things moved very quickly. Her BGL was 22.5 and she was borderline comatose. That was why she was so sleepy. We ended up being transported to the major hospital via special ambulance and she had heaps of tests done and was seen by the head of icu (which scared the crap out of me). I told them my son had the same symptoms and they said when we get him tested if +ve then they will admit him to. Next day he got tested and yep ended up in the next bed to Meara. We were there for a week and spoke to everyone lol. Even had students come through as it was so uncommon to have siblings diagnosed at the same time. I'm just glad I spotted the symptoms.
