Oh Stevie...Men they dont get us at all....we use condoms...the handful of times we ahve DTD lol! Maybe get a pregnancy test just in case? It would be hard but I am sure you would cope :hhug: xxx
wow.. she must be a super mum surely ;)
dont get me wrong, any new addition would be much wanted and loved, im just freaking out.
and like i said i know that im probably reading to much into it, but yeah. its just one of those things.
and last time (it was around this time last year) it felt the same, ya know. i was dwelling on it for SOO long, somewhere in m heart i knew i was pregnant, same thing with the bleed and mild cramping, but ive read that your first cycle is infertile anyway.. GAH im babbeling LOL.
just gotta wait and see i guess,
yeah i was thinking that Amber, but id have to wait a month to do a hpt yeah?
No idea im not good at the charting stuff lol! thats kinda excitng and scary at the same time! x
i know right, LOL!!
and again i dont mean to be going on about it, coz it probably is nothing, but i cant talk to any of my family or friends about it, my MIL keeps telling me to wait wait wait on having another one coz i keep talking about one day givign Alissa a brother or sister, this makes me sound like im not happy with Alissa :( but i really really am, im just looking at the future, chances are we will hae jus the 2 kids and then we can begin our lives as a family, DH wants to travel around Australia once Miss A gets big enoughm this is why he doesnt want to have another one coz he doesnt want it to cut into our traveling (that sounds aweful but he's wanted to travel Australia and catch reptiles all his life) we'd be doing it now if we didnt have Alissa,
makes me think that if i am, its a blessing in disguise lol.
Hi all - Just got home from shopping and mother group meeting with the CHN. They offered us to weigh our bubs and I weighed DS and he's now a WHOPPING 6.36kgs! :D I say whopping because that's double his birth weight and for someone as small as him (and at his last weigh in he was JUST over 4kgs) when he was born, I'm over the moon! I mean, he could have waited until Thursday cause that's his 3 month checkup, but I just couldn't resist.. I was a little curious ;) *brag over*
As for protection, my Ob gave me a perscription for the mini pill because of BFing at the time, but we've just come back from a holiday to Melbourne and brought back our half used packet of condoms. It's only one of the first times we've DTD since DS was born (yes, DH was wayyyy too cautious!)
Stevie - Your girl is just gorgeous in her ticker :)
Ok, off to unpack the luggage and wash some stuff before having dinner.. It's still too hot here
Hi All
Stevie, will be interesting to see what happens ;) I think they say you can be more fertile after having a baby but I'm not too sure. Just wait a week or 2 and do a HPT. As for the cushion thing you were talking about I have one and Leila hates it! Well, I shouldnt say she hates it, she hates sleeping on her back that's all and I got one thinking it might help her feel more comfortable on her back but it didn't work for us unfortunately. I think they are a good idea though and if Leila did like sleeping on her back I'm sure she would like it.
LJ nice work with the weight gain! Sounds like he is a really healthy little boy you are obviously doing a fantastic job with him
Rach, hope Luke gets back into his normal sleeping routine soon. It's hard when they have off days or decide to change their routine, just when you've gotten used to way things were!
As for protection I'm on the mini pill. Not that I need to be as DH and I rarely DTD!! Not sure that I like it though as I've had a lot of breakthrough bleeding, not sure if it will get better but I guess I'll give it another month or 2 and if I'm still not happy with it I'll ditch it.
AFM well I'm having a difficult time at the moment. I cried this morning for the first time in a very long time. I'm just so tired of everything! Leila was sleeping really well but the last few nights I've been up with her and I'd forgotten how draining that can be! I'm guessing she's probably going through a growth spurt as she is almost 12 weeks. DH & I fight all the time. I don't know why but we just can't seem to get along at the moment. I sometimes wonder if I have unrealistic expectations of him. Either way all this fighting is really wearing me down. On top of that I'm feeling really down about the way that I look. I've lost most of the baby weight, just have a few more kg's to lose which doesn't really worry me as there's plenty of time to slim down. What bothers me is the mummy tummy that I have that I don't think will ever go away! It's not just a bit flabby, it's a bit saggy and I have stretchmarks (I know they will fade so not too worried) but it seems to be a bit wrinkly where all the stretch marks are and I'm starting to think that losing weight will actually make this worse and I'll just have loose skin around my belly :crying: I don't want to be vain but I can't help it. I used to like the way that I looked, I was really fit and toned. My body is just so different to what I expected it would be. Losing a few kg isn't so much the issues, its more that I think even when I do lose the kg's I'm still going to have a saggy mummy tummy :wall: I'm just so down about everything at the moment.
Hi ladies!
It's been a while since I've been in here... I think I have caught up and am going to give some personals a go... But if I miss something I am sorry but I am typing on ky ph and it's v hard to go back and re-read!
Rach & DM - re the car... Ikwym. E is not quite so bad but he does often cry in the car and he also did in his pram basinette. I think it's because he can't see out since he is lying down. I changed his pram from the basinette attachment to the pram one and just reclined it back - this makes him much happier cos he can see the world... Inquisitive little boy!
Stevie - I am bf so am on mini pill atm. I've always only the taken the pill so am happy with this. As for wrapping E... I have wrapped him since day 1 and unfortunately he won't sleep any other way. Apparently he will just grow out of it, but atm he likes to be wrapped so snugly that I use stretchie wraps and fasten them with the butterfly clips you use on bandages!!!! Not sure if this is a contributing reason why he has slept through night since 5 days... He must feel so safe and Cosy!
Good luck with the hpt! I don't even know what to say that could possibly help but just know I am thinking of you!
LJ - great work with the weight gain!!!! How long did it take to go from the 4 to 6 kg mark? E is massive as well, at 9.5 weeks he was 62cm and 6kg... He is 12w tomorrow so likely to be even bigger now. I have such mixed feelings about E growing so much... On 1 hand it's nice that they are healthy etc but on the other, I'm going to miss bubby cuddles!
Sorry to all the girls I have missed atm... As I mentioned I have managed to type this on my ph which has been no small feat for me!!!
Afm, E and I are doing well. He is doing well and he will now go to sleep without relying on cuddles... We now have cuddles and then he goes into bed. I sit near the bed until he sleeps. He is now having 3-4 45min naps during day and sleeping from 8pm to 5:30am... But then he wakes up like a crack baby because he's so hungry!!!!!
Love you all! Talk to you soon. Xx.
WTG william
I think he is back to normal I think because we travelled home on sun and were out sat he was out of whack he isn't sleeping as logn over night now we are home but its still 7pm -3am at earliest so I shouldn't complain
 for body issues think of the mummy tummy as your badge of honour..v because thats what it is a badge of honour to be able to carry your baby and give birth to one...
Luke is the same but he likes to be sung to takes2min in my amrs and he is out to it jase can try for 1/2 hr nothing passes him to me luke put his hand on mine and goes straight to sleep
fi  Oh hun...its so tough being a mum...try not to be too hard on yourself  Give yourself at least a year for your body to go back...9 months to grow it 9 months to get it back is my motto  x
LJ WTG William! Woohooo!
Stevie hun you do whats right for you....and if you are UTD then thats awesome....babies are always a blessing :)
Not much happening here...Flynn is a porker...I shold get him weighed..I am sure he has cracked the 7kgs :) He is so strong holds hi head really well. I saw one of my bf the ohter day with her new baby he is 2 weeks and we put them side by side and Flynn looks like a sumo lol!
Big cuddles to all our babies and mummies xxxx
boomba Luke was 6.8kg on 3rd Jan can't wait to weigh him agaiin I reckon he is close to 8kg talk about strong we have been using our activity centre the ones like walkers but not walkers and he sits up in it fo 10min or so loves it see my latest pics on FB, I swear he will be crawling soon the way he moves around his cot and on floor, you can't leave him on a queen bed he will be at the edge in no time *sigh*... also he was desperatl trying to roll fom belly to back today, he had the legs up and hips over but his arm was stopping him
I know Rach...I miss my newborn baby..yhe is growing up way to fast..I will ahve to look at your pics again I didnt see that one? 8kgs wow I dont think Flynn is far off :)
jan pics :)
Cool looking now :)
WOW he certainly looks bigger than Flynn very gorgeous :)
he's huge its ridiculous, he has just less than the recomended formula quantity but he is so big he wear some size 0 clothing he got given a heap of target 2 piece pj's in size 00 for xmas well a few of them are quite snug but then other things like rompers short leg sleeveless some are 000 so who knows but target is generally pretty consistant wish I had asked for size0 but who knew
hehe Flynn is in 0 too! He is really long too lol! Its a snice change DS1 was a skinny bubba :)
I so need to make another CHN appoint I love knowijg how long they are and how much they weigh... my MIL thinks I am padantic about it but its nice to be able to look back and compare the boys..with Jack I was at CHN every 2 weeks or so :) but now its moved and well they dont do as many appoint :(
Hi!!
Thought I'd pop in and say hi to my belly buddies group....... Alyssa was born on the 6 November so I didn't quite fit in with the baby buddies dates and I've been in the November group, but I'm thinking I might try and keep up with both if that's okay!! It's very quite in the November group and there's only about 4 of us in there....
I can't believe how quickly the timeis going!! Little miss Alyssa is growing up way too quick for her mummy!! She's just about grown out of the bassinet so I think I'll have to start putting her in the cot. And cause our room is so far away from the nursery I'm making DH sleep in the spare room for a while until i'm used to the idea!!!
Anyway, just popping in quickly to say hi. I'll start going back and catching up on how everyone's little bundles are going.
Talk soon
Emma
Hello Girls and Bubbies!
Hi Emma - it's lovely that you are joining both groups so welcome to you and Miss A too!
Rach - I think it is super adorable that Luke goes to sleep with his hand on yours, that would make me cry every time. I sing with E during the day but when it is bed time i just put his mobile on. Atm his favourite song is prob incy wincy spider.... sad i know.
As for rolling over... i put E on his tummy mat last weekend (it is a mat that has a little pillow which goes under his upper body) he kept rolling himself over to his right side. i was super shocked. i know he was aided by the pillow being there but he is getting so strong now.
Fi - sorry i didn't post about your tummy last time Fi (that sounds odd doesn't it?). Don't stress too much about losing the weight/getting back to pre-baby. It's hard and our bodies are very different shapes to what they were previously. If i remember right, you had a CS like me... i personally think that has contributed even more to having a flabby tummy... i have pretty much lost all my baby weight too but i have this flabby tummy that hangs down yukky and means that some of my old clothes still don't fit even though i am similar weight. i think it is hard to get our tummy back to that way it was because our muscles etc were cut so it is going to take quite some time for healing etc.... at my last OB checkup the Dr said that for the (up to) 6 months my internal wounds etc will heal so i am figuring i have 6 months to gradually heal and get my body back to normal. Hugs to you cause i know how frustrating it is... i get really angry that i weigh almost the same but my clothes don't fit because my tummy is fatter.
Boomba - i like your motto of 9 months to gain, 9 months to lose!
Also to Boomba and Rach - sze 00 and 0 - OMG! i was really surprised to read that cause E is not that much smaller but he just moving from 0000 to 000 now and still fits 0-3 months Pumpkin Patch clothes with room to grow still. i think i mentioned that he was 6kg and 62cm at 9.5 weeks so prob about 65cm and 6.5kg now (he grows at over 1cm p/wk). Must just be different proportions........
Hi to all and have a great day ladies,
Tam.
Emma always welcome :)
Tam it does melt my heart a tad he lieks to hold my hand when I am feeding him as well, which means I can't be bad a feed and surf net to much  he gazes up at me as well awwwwwwww........melts my heart I tell ya...
Welcome back Emma! Was wondering where you went1 Congrats on your beautiful baby girl! I am officially a November mum too but am more comfy here :)
Tammie its a good motto hey..i mean our bodies are amazing and they know what to do with a little help from us! Plus we all cant look like a supermodel after having a baby :)
Well my DS1 went to his first day of care today :) A friend is starting up a FDC and I cant bring myslef for him to be looked after by a tranger just yet :) So this is perfect! Had a lovely day wiht DH and Flynn so it was great..DH is off to get Ds1 very soon :)
:grouphug: xxx
just a short update.. am cooking myself a one person meal (which SUCKS lol) and Miss A hasnt been asleep since 6 am this morning :O so she's gettin a little stroppy and i think overtired,
i couldn help myself and took a hpt this morning.. im pretty sure there was only one line but as most of you know if you look at it long enough you swear you can see a faint faint other line.. ima wait a week and see how i go..
ill be back shortly for personals i promise xxx
 Oh stevie..it sucks being alone hey1 Hope Miss A has a big sleep for you tonight  fingers crossed the HPT comes back wiht the result you wantxx
Well, we had our appt today - DS was 6.29kgs and 60cms long - all up to par :)
Back later - DH is going out tonight and i'm going to be home alone with DS - Here's hoping I can get some stuff done and have him sleeping by 10pm... And so much for me having my 'morning' for myself *sighs*
 LJ...thats awesome William is growing well! I would love a morning to myself..but DH isnt home from work till 10am :(
Flynn was weighed today 6.8kgs and 62cm long...I have a buddah on my hands :)
Fii know what you mean about being tired, when they slept so well for such a long time you get accustomed to getting a decent nights sleep. Miss A is doing this to me at the moment, she wakes at 2-3am and this wrecks me, i drop off to sleep so many times during the day, if i sit down BAM im asleep LOL. and sweetness, your not being vein, i think we are all going through that at the moment, i was convinced id fit into my pre pg clothes by now but no, i dont im not far off them its just this flabby belly, and this huge a@@ i managed to get. and with DH not living up to your expectations, i hear you there too, but i dont need to go into my situation, you all know what its like for me ;) and your all so supportive, so if i havent thanked you enough already...
Thanks ladies, it means the world to me :grouphug:
Tamits good to see your persistance is paying off with E's sleeping. Miss A is the same when she sleeps through, she almost chokes she's shuggin it down so fast LOL
Amber and rachEi weighed Miss A the other day at the parenting class, but there scales were in pounds and i couldnt work out how to change it but she was 11p 5 i think, i think i worked it out to her being just over 5kgs. but she's 000, the legs are usually too short in 000 but if i put her in 00 she's swimmin in them lol.
Emma of course your welcome in here :) the more the merrier. i LOVE your babies names btw i actually wanted to spell mine with a 'Y" but DH wanted the 'I' i was just happy we'd chosen a name that i liked so much lol.
RachLOVE it whne they hold your hand Miss A always holds onto my thumb (or finger) when she's feeding, and she'll stare up at me :) soo freakin cute, gonna miss it when she's not tiny anymore
Amberi hope all went well with DS1's daycare day im sure he had lots of fun!!]
LJ i know what you mean about not getting much time to yourself, i swear i get more 'me' time when DH is away, but i think its coz i get a little routine going when he's gone, and we dont really go anywhere when he's away, but when he's home we spend all day everyday running here there and everywhere lol. i hope you get all that you need done
AFm, as far as me getting the result that i want, i dont really mind either way. some parts of me are screaming 'no.. no.. we arent ready yet' other parts of me just knows how much of a blessing another baby would be. theres so many pros and cons, and you know what, whats ment to happen will happen, im a great believer in that!! it will all work out the way its ment to. ive had a little bit of spotting today, so im not sure if this means AF is about to rear her head or what, but im not gonna think about it for another week, and this time next week we'll see how we are then lol.
On other news, DH finally brought me a new car  well its not new but newer than my 17 year old baby parked out the front LOL. 04' Dual cab 4x4 rodeo, AUTO (im crap i know) but i told jon my needing an auto is a blessing in disguise.. at least he cant thrash the **** out of it like he does his SSV :shakehead: we should be getting it in about 2 weeks, we went to our local holden dealers and test drove one similar (the one we are buying is in sydney) and compared to my teeny tiny lil car, this think is a freakin boat LOL!! ill be ok once i get used to it but its gonne take some getting used to, DH keeps telling me ill be ok, but he's had his licence for long enough that he can ajdust easily into any car (plus he drives massive trucks in the mines) ive had my licence for 6 months... its gonna be hard to get used to driving something to massive.. but it has a bullbar so my advice.. "OUTTA MY WAY!!!" heheh
anyway Miss A didnt sleep ALLLLLLLLL day, and im not kidding, she woke at 6am and i put her down at about 7:15pm... she wasnt even in a bad mood, just very playful which was awesome but now im knackered and am off to bed so nighty night ladies xxx
GBH to all bubs and a big :hello: to anyone i have missed
 LJ an Boomba nice weight gains :)
Boomba how did Myles go today :) I will be so nervous when Jack eventually goes if he doesn't get called up for early kindy he will be in 1/2 day care one daya week last term of year so he can transition to 3 day kindy next year :yikes:
Stevie  thats what Luke did Monday I had my eyes hanging out of my head by time Jase got home, let along trying to do it alone
11lbs 5oz is 5130grms
:dance:for new car th eonly thing I can say about getting used to a bigger car is carparks and very deceptive  we used to have a nissan patrol when I got my licence (only had it 5 years  ) so I was ok then but we moved down to a falcon and crewman so goig back to a triton in nov was like holy crap when it comes to parkigg I still suck, getting better, if I am by myself (outhere doesn't matter) I try to park out of the way might mean a walk to shops but better than sideswiping someone elses car or having trouble with reversing
AFM : off to Gladstone this arvie till mon or tues, Jase had hoped to get the boat out but weather sucks again for fishing anyway should be interesting few days I refuse to sit around his parents place doing nothing bores me ****less I could do that at home at least here I am relxed LOL see how it goes
hope to get Luke weighed sometime this weekend so shall let ya all know what fatty boomba weighs LOL lets see if this weekend thrwos the boys routine out of whack again, I dont really have a routine but lukes like to go to bed early and Jack goes to bed at 9pm which never happens at IL's ... but this week it took 3 nights to get Luke back to good sleepign after spending fri and sat night with IL's in agnes and Jack well we have been doing night TT he was dry sat sun mon nights tues night he wet and same wed night last nigth I went to take him to loo before I went to bed at 10.30pm he was already wet *sigh* so put a nappy on him ... see how we go ... but he has been so tired lately refuses a day sleep and is up down when we put him to bed grrrrrrrrr........ so I am being tought this weekend and besides tonigth when we will go out for tea etc he is going to bed at 9pm latest....lets see how it works anyway all I have to do is iron a couple of things for me to take and irong some uniforms for next week...
Thanks all for the well wishes for DS
Stevie - I am in a pretty good routine when DH is at work, but he's not back to work for another week.. Though, it still feels like I'm doing so much more (and getting the 'but that's your job' from DH)
Just a quick one from me - I'm in the car on the way to pick my grandmother up for the airport - She's going to Hong Kong. Staying in Singapore for 1 night, in Hong Kong for 1 night then off on a cruise for I THINK 10 days, back to Hong Kong for 1 night, Singapore 1 night then home.. Lucky thing :( Will bbl
:hello: girls, sorry ive been MIA last few weeks. Been busy setting up my home business. Just a little boutique store, won't earn me to much, but am looking forward to it. Ive named it "Inspired by Lilli" in mememorial to my little princess, heheh even have a little pic of her on my website banner :D Once its complety up and running you all must have a look and tell me what you think.
Well last monday Evangeline had her sleep study done. :( So many wires, i hardly slept a wink that night, just watching her with all them wires broke my heart. But she only paused her breathing a few times  Though, cheeky girl decided to have a big deep sleep when we got home, and once again her alarm went off grrr.
 On current weight gains. Missy moo is 5.5kg and 61cm long now  heheh you should see all her chubba rolls now, i love them!!! Also think she may have inherited mummy's thighs, poor girl. We also have our next lot of needles in 4 days :( can't believe my bubba girl is almost 4mths old. Where did that time go. Sorry the about me post, i will be back later for personals!!!
Hi all,
just put some new photos on facebook so thought i'd duck in and share them. hopefully the link works....
Emma Haigh#039;s Photos - Alyssa Maree | Facebook
Miss A is having a sleep in the cot. Trying to get her used to it through the day so we can put her in there for nights in a couple of weeks seeing as she's just about grown out of the cot!!! growing up far too quickly!!
Fi and Tammie - I'm 5 kilos lighter than i was pre pregnancy but most of my shorts still don't fit. so depressing when you've lost weight but there's some hanging around in all the wrong places!!! i know i need to start exercising but....... I like the 9 months to lose motto as well.
Stevie - bubs name is great!! I've wanted that name since i was about 17. Dissappointed my MIL though cause there's so many different spellings she'll be spelling it for her whole life. thought it was a bit hypocritical for someone who called there son jonathan. do you know how many different spellings he gets of that!!! Don;t know how i'd handle another one just yet. but it is nice to have them close together and if it happens i guess we'd all make the most of it. and you're right - what's meant to happen will happen!! I'm still too scared about labour to think about another one, but in my heart i know i'll probably be trying again this time next year......
Rach - hope you have a nice couple of days away and good luck with the night TT.
Rach - Good luck with the home business. something to keep you busy (like a baby doesn't do that ;). I think little miss has inherited her mum's thighs too!! chubba bub was 5.3 kilos 2 weeks ago and 60 cms. will have to get her weighed again soon!!
okay - be back later. think she's waking up and i'm meant to be ironing while DH is at cricket in the 40 degree heat (stupid game to play in the middle of the day in summer!!!)
RachE: have fun in gladstone and well done with the TT :)
RachB: you will most def have to show us your website when its all done :) your doing to be a busy busy lady :) im glad that Miss Es sleeping test went well too xx
LJ: your granma is like mine, she's a jetsetter ;) she;s goes everywhere and does everything. she's almost always holidaying .. but she deserves it of course :D
and i kno wwhat you mean about the "but thats your job!!" grrr.. who votes that taking the rubbish bins out is a mans job??
**RAISES BOTH HANDS AND WAVES THEM AROUND LIKE A MAD WOMAN!!** lol
Em: your baby is gorgeous. and you know what else is funny, my DHs name is also Jonothon.. but with all 'O's ;)
afm.. im dwelling  i hate it but i cant help it!! i tried to get stuff done today but my mind is just elsewhere at the moment.. its driving me nuts!! and im so excited about gettingour car, i just want to have it already LOL. DH is booked in to get some more of his Tattoo done (he's getting a full sleeve on his left arm) im booked in to get more of mine done in May but this was made jic ive stopped bfing (wouldnt have thought i might be UTD tho) coz aj (the tattooist) is really good, and has like a 5 month waiting list. but ill have to cancel sit coz i want to bf for as long as i can now. i better go Miss A is dropping off to sleep and i stil have to bath her and get her ready for bed.
xxx
Hi all,
Just wanted to say a real quick hi!
No personals today but wanted to let you all know that DH and I just took bubby to the Coast (we went to Main Beach on Gold Coast) today and he loved it!!!!
I really thought he would hate the sand on his feet and the colder water but he was happy to sit on the sand and put his hand in it and sit on my lap in the shallow waters.
He has also just drank his first formula bottle.... i am not stopping bf but as i have difficulty expressing (and don't like feeding in public) I have decided to use ff when we are out. He took the bottle fine, but did screw his nose up for the first few sucks. Then drank about 160ml which is avg for him.
Before anyone gets offended, i don't have any issues with other people bf in public, i just don't want to do it - i actually don't feed in front of anyone but my husband. Sounds silly i know, but i can be a little proper at times....
I am so happy he loved the beach and took a bottle I just wanted to share.....
Be back soon,
Tam.
So sorry I have been MIA ladies. Ill keep up from now on!
Hope all babies and mummies are well, healthy and happy:) BBL for personals :)
Tammiere: bfing, i understand what you mean about not liking to feed infront of others, mines for a different reason tho, coz i have had so much drama with breastfeeding, i still feel so unnatural at it. and i know i look silly when i feed her, and i know that anyother bfing mother would probly notice :( having to have to use a nipple sheild i always have to carry that and a towel with me and.. well its aalways just a stuff around really. Otherwise tho, i really dont care (friends and family) im probly a bit to open and honest about things but hey, thats just me lol.
Good on your little man for taking the bottle so easy, it will make your life alot easier, its made things a million times easier for us. she doesnt get formula everyday. just days where she seems to be eating alot and my boobies cant keep up 9or theyre super sore) or if she left with MIL (she's the only person who has babysat her so far) DH hasnt even looked after her on his own yet :shakehead: i dont think he would be able to either sadly..
also good that he loved the beach, i havent gotten around to taking her, im a little too scared too, its soo bloody hot up here the sun would be nasty at the beach, so im waiting for it to not be so 40 degree weather LOL.
hey Kass, good to hear from you :)
afm: meh.. what can i say.. same old same old lol. Dh gets home in a few days im looking forward to it coz im so bored. Miss A is doign wonderfully, she's alot of fun to play with now, i feel bad for saying that but before she'd just lay there whereas now i can wave toys and stuff in her face and watch her get all excited lol. its pretty awesome. got my first real giggle the other night, i was blowing raspberries on her belly and she's let out a cute loud giggle then id crack up laughing coz it was so cute and i was so excited to finally hear her actually laughing then she's stop and look at me as if to say "you weirdo mummy" i told DH and he's like "just you wait til i get home then" he can make her smile by just looking at her, he would have her laughing (well that sound that you know is ment to be a laugh but it sound more like a cough lol) she already has him wrapped around her little finger.
great granma (this woman doesnt like me or DH [she's DHs granma..long story] but she puts on a act for the family) made a little comment when i said that she had daddy wrapped around her finger.. "her little fingers must be very busy.. she seems to have everyone wrapped around them by the looks of it!!" well of course she does you silly woman she's the first grand daughter LOL.
anyway i must be off,
:hello: to everyone
xxx
quick howdy I am so tired thus too slack to do personals  bad I know
well weekend was good IL's behaved themselves with Luke allowed me to stick to routine etc with Jack so so but I was firm and tough and I had him in bed normal time 2 out of 4 the other 2 we had been out so were late home etc, then everything was late, but I still had him down ASAP...
they even repected me in regards to Lukes day sleeps I was liek man ... mnd you there were still many  keep ya mouth shut rach moments  but I was so proud of myself standing up for my boys and stickign to things I beleive in, my nephew who is 4 in 3 weeks OMG  the crap he is allowed to get away with of course Jack tried it and Jase and I bit that in the butt very quick... things like walking around when its dinner time, filling up on juice cake etc not eating real food, being allowed to run around sports club climb on tables etc, no way is Jack allowed to do that stuff and MIL kept saying oh there having fun its ok I iwas like no way, I am sure once we left today they wil have commented on what a cow I am but :p to them
anyway must move my little man has been sleeping from 7- 7-30pm till 6am but today when we got home at 2.30pm he was in foul mood had a shower and feed etc, and went to sleep at 4pm and well:o its 7.40pm and he's still down :o I'm a bit worried that he will wake and stay awak but am thinking he will wake around 11pm  thats what he does and goes straight back down, we normally go to craft for4 Jack on wed morn but giving it a miss tomorrow as he has swim lessons starting .. so if I have a bad night at elast I dont need to be out of house till 11.15am rather than 9am
ok goen to wash up and straighten up in case he wakes
Hi Ladies. It's been pretty quiet in here this week so i hope everything is ok for everyone.....
Stevie - i had to laugh about great granma.... i HATE elderly people who pass judgment on my parenting skills (or lack thereof at times). DH's nan is the same - i have a baby swing and Eli loves it and has from the moment we got home... well she made comment that it was dangerous and swung far to fast for a baby.... it's a Fisher Price swing... i'm pretty sure it is safe for a baby to use! Stupid people.
Rach - congrats to you for sticking to your schedule. I am becoming a stickler for that too... i have realised how much happier Eli is when we stick to naps and bedtimes etc so now i make sure it happens. The other thing i hate is when people pass E around heaps - he gets cranky about it and so do i but they don't seem to care.
I am so anti-people today!
afm, we have had a terrible couple of days. On Wednesday Eli was exceptionally sookie and grumpy all day. He wouldn't play, nap etc. Then Wed night he woke every 1.5 hours which he has never done before - the most he has ever woken before is once during the night and always around 2am. But on wednesday it was 10pm, 11:30pm, 1am, 2:30am - back to bed at 3:30am then 5am.
Thursday he was a little happier but still very high maintenance. I have noticed he has been putting everything in his mouth that might fit and instead of sucking his dummy when it goes in his mouth he has been biting down on it. So i gave him a cold teething ring and held it in his mouth for a few mins for him while he gummed down on it and that seemed to soothe him for a while. So i am guessing his gums are starting to get sore..... i can't feel anything in there yet though so who knows how long this is going to go on for!
the other issue i have is blocked tear ducts. E has had these since birth and i have been cleaning his eyes many times during the day etc. I got saline wipes (Little Eyes) last weekend from the chemist and while these seem to be clearing the tear duct up they are making his eye ball a little red. Does anyone have any experience with blocked tear ducts?
I spoke to the pharmacist and she said the biggest thing to watch is his discomfort (he has none presently) and lots of redness around the eye can indicate infection in the tear duct.
Just thought somone might have some ideas/info on this one.....
Last thing, E is 3 months today so had him weighed and he is 64.5cm (90th %), 6.7kg (75th %).... but most importantly he is my gorgeous little bub!
Hope you are all well.
x Tam.
sorry can't help with tear ducts tam but it doesn't sound very nice for por Eli
AFM ..........OMG luke rolled tummy to back this morning and i got to witness it i am so excited
Yay Rach - that's super exciting!
E has been able to roll from tummy to back if on his tummy mat... but i don't count that yet as there is a pillow under his upper body which helps him. But hopefully not too far away......
As for his eyes... for about the first 10 weeks both tear ducts were blocked but now it is only in 1 eye so we are making some progress... albeit slow!
x Tam.
Hi girls. Thanks for making me feel better about my mummy tummy! I have one because I am a mummy so I shouldn't complain! I like the advice about 9 months to gain it 9 months to lose it, very practicle ;)
Great to hear from you Emma, glad everything is going well.
Rach2281 yay for the home business! Can't wait to hear more
Rach75 good on you for sticking up for what you believe in and not letting the inlaws get to you or disrupt your routine. Good luck with the TT! Go Luke with the rolling! I don't think Leila can do that yet. She still tries to crawl when I put her on her tummy and when on her back she can roll from side to side but I haven't seen her do a full roll over yet.
LJ & Boomba your little boys are doing so well
Stevie - great news about the car! Hey, have you done another HPT yet??
Tammie, don't worry abut the bottle and BF in public thing not everybody is comfortable doing it and if you are not comfortable then you need to find something you are comfortable with. I thought I would feel uncomfortable about it before I had Leila but as it turns out I'm completely the opposite and I happily feed her anywhere, anytime in front of anyone who happens to be around! Very weird but I'm comfortable with it so thats all that matters. As for Eli being unsettled sounds very much like Leila has been lately. I think she had a growth spurt as she had a few days where she was unsettled and waking for night feeds where she had previously been sleeping through consistently for weeks. Did my head in! BUT, it passed quickly. Leila has also been sticking anything and everything in her mouth. She's actually started sticking her fingers down her throat and making herself gag, then looking at me and crying as if she wants me to stop it from happening  Poor little thing! I think my little girl may teethe early too as her gums are starting to get a bit sore & swollen but I don't know too much about teething so I guess it could still be a while yet - hopefully anyway! Not sure about the tear ducts sorry. But hopefully your little man settles down soon, I know how frustrating it is  Oh and well done on the awesome weight gain!
Who have i missed? Sorry if I've missed anything important it's not that I don't love you I'm just short of time and there has been a lot happening.
AFM all pretty good here. My mum & dad arrived today to stay for a few days which is great! I've had to do a bit of work here & there which has been ok but I really miss my little girl when I take her into child care :( Leila had a terrible night last night. The worst night she has ever had, poor little thing I was really starting to freak out. She woke from her sleep and just started crying and crying, then screaming and screaming and screaming and screaming! It went on for about an hour and a half and I have no idea why. I have never heard her scream like that for so long, it was the most awful thing to be so helpless. I don't know if it was wind (which is her usual reason for crying and very easily fixed) or maybe her gums were sore?? I have no idea. I ended up giving her colic drops which didn't work and in the end I gave her panadol, which I really didn't want to, but I didn't know what else to do and I just wanted something to help my poor little girl feel better. It worked anyway and she eventually settled down and had a good sleep. Its so hard when they can't tell you what is wrong. At least my mum is here now so if it happens again she may be able to help me figure out what is wrong. But fingers crossed it doesn't happen again, it was just heartbreaking to see her in so much pain.
Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
