welll we have tooth number 7 coming and 3 others that i can see
Walking everywhere (will upload a video onto FB) when i can find the kodak disc (new harddrive on computer so have to reinstall it)
sleep has basically gone out the window at the moment!!! BUT he does have his good nights which i pray are MOST nights....still horrid sleeper during the day
as for eating...he just ate strawberries banana & orange for lunch (am now waiting a pooplosion!!!) and he will eat anything offered to him which is good
Hey everyone, hope all the bubs are going well.. just a quick update and SO SORRY for another selfish post.
Had Ava back at the Dr's today as she now has conjunctivitis and has given it to me.. YAY as if the sore throat and ear ache she passed on wasn't enough... lol i love you baby but sharing isn't always caring!
Also they told me her viral infection that was going then turned into a cold is now bronchiolitis... another YAY... NOT!
So my poor lil girl can't get a break over the last 2 weeks, she has to have eye drops every two hours at the moment and starting her on AB's tomorrow morning or maybe tonight as the Dr thinks theres a chance the bronchiolitis is going bacterial...
So hopefully this all kicks in and my happy smiley girl is back, DP took her shopping last night for a new wiggles DVD as the old one was driving me nuts and at times thats all that will settle her, he came back with an ITNG DVD AND a Wiggles DVD and informs me he gave her half a cinnamon donut as a treat.. BEFORE TEA... lol
Oh well she's sick and a little spoiling can't hurt.
fluff-a-holic - lots of teeth coming through and walking everywhere, nice work, glad to see he's eating well and nice n healthy
fluff-a-holic - thanks for the advice, the poor girl is doomed anyway i had asthma as a child and so did half my cousins, all my cousins had eczema aswell and she already has it.. i just want to for her.
Poor girl went down for an Arvo nap, woke 20min later but i could see she was still tired so she came and had a lay down in our bed with us for 45min, daddy and Ava fell asleep and I layed there watching how similar they are.
Started the AB's she has been so upset all arvo, the eye drops every 2 hrs has been interesting but we will get there... hope they both kick in and do some good.
Hi girls. I have been reading your posts but I'll just do a quick me update now.
I'm still feeling dizzy and my ear is still blocked. Am trying all sorts of things to fix things. Tried acupuncture but didn't like it. Not sure whether to look for a new acupuncturist or not. Had a remedial massage today which was agony but I'm feeling good now. I was hoping I'd be better by now so I'm disappointed. Oh and I decided to quit the at home work which means I won't get a cent for any work I've done, but I think it'll help my stress levels if I don't do it.
As for Maya, she's doing great, thankfully! It gives me one less thing to worry about. Her tooth is still making it's way out. She's standing more and more. I bought an activity table on ebay for $5! And she loves it. She stands at it and plays with all the gadgets. She's still slow in the words department though. I haven't heard her say mum ever! She's still doing lots of 'dada's and making other sounds. Today I swear she was saying 'hello' but I can't be sure.
Oh and I've finished her bday invites. Just gotta send them out to people now.
I hope everyone is doing well. I'll BBL for personals.
*Tanya* - keep your chin up and try what you need to try i guess, sorry it hasn't seemed to settle for you yet. Your a strong woman and you will find your way through this!
Ava loves those play table things when we go to ppl's house for Mg so we got her one for her b'day.. she found it in my cupboard so i wrapped it and hid it in the spare room... lol
YAY M for starting to stand and everything thats awesome, before you know it she will be walking around.
How did her invites turn out, did you enjoy having a fiddle?
Oh and one last thing.... you have to smile, enjoy being spoilt and forget about everything else for atleast today!
Hope you have a wonderful day and when you blow those candles out don't share your wish.. it's bad luck...
How is everyone else, fluff, SamiH, belfie and anyone else i've missed.. HI HI and hope the lil ones are well.
AFM - Ava actually slept through last night after i put towels under her mattress and she was raised that little more, started her on AB's on Sat or Sun night so hoping they are kicking in, she was in my bed Sunday night ALL NIGHT and i got no sleep so now my cold and sore throat is worse but it's nice outside and i just need to keep smiling!
Well the land should settle next wk but am getting my stepdad out to check the block size as we stepped it out and it doesn't seem right.. he's a surveyor so bringing all his hi-tech toys to check it for me before we can't turn back!
Am getting excited but also stressed as Mark now says.. hmm maybe we can't afford it.. which i said ages ago but WE WILL MAKE IT WORK.. stay positive and knuckle down!
Might sit down and try and work out a rough budget, also once #2 is here i guess my payments will go up a little (will have to tell them only 1 income now aswell i guess) which should help a tiny bit.
Got to go and do my tax soon, had fogotten all about it.. hmmm maybe a little bonus and we can buy soem stuff for #2 without dipping into our pockets!
Anyone got any handy tips for saving $$, have stopped buying huggies nappies she only gets them for at night and been using Aldi during the day... they are actually quite good.
Try and buy her formula on special and she also eats the same as us now which works a bit better, i really need to sit down and make a plan.. should check my CC and everything aswell.. see if i can save $$ there. (not that we actually use it).
I suppose if we sell and pay out the suby there is $400 a month extra for us, but then i guess still have to find a decent other car!
Hmmmm should work it out soon... lol
Ava seems to be on the mend, coming back to being her happy self but not quite there.. she has her 1st ever b'day party (other than cousins at home etc) at a play centre on the w/end so i hope she is well enough to go!
All invites are out, her pressies are wrapped and sorting out the cake at the moment so almost all set, plenty of ppl making food for her party which is nice.. can't wait!
Her teeth are slowly moving but still only the 2, she is standing on EVERYTHING and slowly moves around objects.. what are the chances she might walk before her party????
Life is busy at the moment - but i am still reading when I can.
Zman is going great, sleeping relatively well and eating to my satisfaction and having 3 boobie feeds a day on avg - but he is into absolutely everything - i think because the other kids open and shut doors and draws and everythng all the time there has not been any visual barriers - you know what i mean - like when they first start to crawl they dont move off a rug for a few days cos of the visual difference or textual differences - anyways .... so now I have to keep the others bedroom doors shut during the days when just me and him cos there are just so many little bits in there that could be gone in a split second.
Have organised a party/AFL grand final day nibbles, bubbles and cake afternoon - and glad people are asking what they could get him cos I am saying no TOYS - too many around the house and in tubs in the shed so clothes, clothes, clothes
DH has been home the past 3 days with bronchitis - hindrance though - I am ducking out now though as Z is in bed to get my nails done today instead of tomorrow so we can do something tomorrow morning and buy a dress I have had my eye on at ROckmans for Z's party day. 30% today - gosh I hope my size hasn't gone!
Hi girls. I am still reading, but trying to spend less time on the puter nowadays.
amy - Wow.. the date of B's op is fast approaching. I hope everything goes as smoothly as it can.
Georgi - That's great that BJ can sign now. I try very occasionally to use sign so I don't think M will ever catch on. I'm just not consistent enough.
Avasmum - Thanks for the bday wishes. How is Ava now? Is she better? Yeah I am not a fan of the P&T either. I don't think it's safe having a small baby so close to the ground with no real protection. And it just feels like such a flimsy, cheaply made pram. I'm not sure why they are so expensive.
fluff - Wow walking. Go jack! Looking forward to seeing him in action on video.
Sami - Sounds like Z is doing really well. Wow I can't believe he's nearly 1!! I still need to sort out what food I'm going to have at M's bday + cake + outfit for her and for me.
belfie - Not long till your little man is 1 too!!
csab, amanda, everyone else - I hope you are all OK!
Well.. my bday sucked cos I had another vertigo attack in the morning. I panicked and called DH home straight away. Luckily it only lasted a few mins (normally an attack lasts for hours). But it was nice having DH home on my bday. We ended up having a picnic lunch outside with M and it was the first time she was let loose on the grass. She tasted grass, dirt, stones, twigs, etc for the frst time. I wish she wouldn't eat everything in sight but I have no idea how I can stop her.
After my bday I felt bad for a couple of days and now feel a bit better again. But I am still having trouble with my ear. I keep worrying that I won't get better. I am not leaving the house at all, except for appointments, for fear of an attack. So I can't even organise M's bday party which is really important to me.
M's doing really well. She's been very clingy the last few days though and I can see another tooth surfacing now so I think that's why. Soon she will have her two front teeth. She's also standing regularly now and taking a few steps while holding on.
Hello everyone, hope all you mums n bubs are going well, can you believe they are all nearly 1!
*Tanya* - Ava is on the mend, have changed her night time routine a little and she seems to be sleeping a bit better. Her cough is almost gone and so is the runny nose.
Off to MG for us today, YAY first time in 2 weeks as she had been so sick.
We might just get a cheaper pram and a toddler seat and make do, with the house and everything it's going to be hard to buy all nice and pretty stuff...
So sorry your birthday didn't turn out as nice as you hoped but atleast you had DH home with you and M for the day! every cloud has a silver lining!
SamiH - hope your DH is out of your hair and feeling better...
Goodluck with your GF party, we are going to my cousins which should be nice, just get out of the house and have a relaxing day!
To everyone else i hope your all well and the bubs aren't giving you too much grief or getting into things they shouldn't.
AFM - well Ava is crawling everywhere and investigating everything, she loves to get into the bathroom and try and investigate the toilet. She has figured if the main door is closed she can crawl through the walk in in our room to get in (clever little cookie).
She is a lot better but still not 100%, have tried to change her night time routine a little to make sure she is not hungry etc over night, she seems to wake about 5 and not want to go back down in her cot.. although yesterday she scared me and slept 7:30pm to 7am without me having to even go give her her dummy. Last night she slept 7:30 to about 5:15 then came into my bed at 5:45 and slept with us til 6:45.. so not too bad an effort.
Well our land should settle today which is a little scary, the money is going to start disappearing now... hehe and we sign the builders contracts on the 30th of this month (just in time for FHOG).
Plans for Ava's birthday are slowly coming along, deciding b/w two cakes now which i really should get my butt into gear for, can't believe she is 1 in like 2 weeks
Well best get going and give midget her breakfast and then a quick shower before i go and take a massive cheque out of the bank for settlement and then off to MG.. YAY
Avasmum - congrats on the land! That's very exciting, and great to hear that Ava is doing a bit better too! She's had a rough trot, the poor little mite.
*Tanya* - hun I'm so sorry to hear you're still feeling crappy, that's just foul really hope the meds help and you feel better soon. Go M with more teeth and GL trying to get things sorted for her birthday.
SamiH - woo hoo they're nearly 1 OMG! Sounds like you're very organised for Z's party, sure you'll have a blast. X's party is on Sunday, pretty low key. We're hoping for toys cos he has plenty of clothes (dunno who keeps buying 'em... ).
we're good otherwise. He's still heaps less itchy on no eggs/treenuts which is great - his skin has never looked so good! And he's getting icecream cake for his birthday. I'm back at work on Monday geeesh. Have hairdo, new jacket, new shoes... lol I'm broke, i've spent the pay I haven't got already! DH is Mr Mummy one day and MIL the other - just back 2 days a week - so should be alright I hope. Did a practice Mr Mummy day on Monday, he had X from the moment he woke up.... wow it was bliss!! (apart from the fact I had bookkeeping to do ). Had our MHCN checkup today, he's slowed on the growth. 10.5kg and 75cm long...he's smack bang on 50th percentile! He's crawling and standing and into everything. Not cruising furniture yet, but I don't think it's far away. He can wait for a while before he walks, that suits me just fine!
Hi to everyone I've missed, hope all the bubbas & yummy mummys are well.
BELFIE - Hope you have a great time at the party on Sunday. It's very exciting when they turn 1. Such a big milestone! BJ is also 50th percentile for weight, 10.22kgs so he's not far off X. How's your weight loss coming along? I'm still going at it. Lost 9kgs, only got 2.5kg to go. It's been great. I'm LOVING my jogging every morning & just started to do a little weights 3 x pw. Though now DH is back at work i'm struggling to get to the gym as often as I'd like to. Luckily we have great QLD weather so I can pound the pavement every day
TANYA Yeah I'm VERY consistant with signing to BJ. Considering my parents are deaf, you'd kinda expect me to be good with it So sorry to hear your having a hard time with your illness. I reckon you should try another accupuncturist. It would be worth it cause some do do it differently. Yay for finishing Maya's invites. Have you got them out yet? Are you gonna make her cake? Can't wait to see the pics
AVASMUM Yes, I did make BJ's cake. It was a monkey face (banana cake). It was the first novelty cake I've ever made & it was great! I was sooooo proud of myself. Though I won't be making another one till his next party which will probably be when he's 4 or 5 yo, when he's old enough to understand what's going on! Hey I was wondering are you going to change your name on BB, when the next bub arrives? lol, just a thought. Glad Ava is on the mend. Do you have any names picked out for your new pink bundle?
FLUFF Hope you had a great birthday. Great stuff that Jack is walking. It's one of those things that you can't wait for them to do, yet secretly hope they don't lol. Bummer about his sleep. It's great that he eats anything though. BJ LOVEs fruit too
SAMI How's your DH feeling? Better? Are you having a big party for Z? I had a few people also ask what they should get BJ, which was great cause we got alot of what he needed. How many days a week are you working now? Gees, it must be hard work with all those kids & work. I struggle with 1 kid! Hope you have a fab time at the party
A big Hello to Amanda, Hollye, Kuraiza, ummmm who else????
Well BJ is going great guns. He's almost walking. He'll happily walk around only holding one (of mine) hand. He's getting good at his sign language. He can now sign Mummy, Bed, Bath, Milk, Finish, More, Drink. He'll also copy when you put your finger to your mouth & say shhhh, plus, he pretends to talk on the mobile phone by putting it up against his ear. He's not eating as much during his 3 meals so I've now introduced snacks aswell. He's sleeping great. 7pm till 6 - 7am, plus 2 1-1.5hours naps during the day.
We've had loads of first birthday parties in the last week. It's been good, BJ LOVES socialising. It's great to see (he gets that from me ).
As for me, 9kgs gone, 2.5kg to go. Still doing WW & loving my exercise.
I've been MIA.....sorry, I've had a shocker of a winter, someone sick every week and it was just way to much to handle I think. I just couldn't post, I've read almost all posts.
I've had a sick free house for just over a week now so hopefully everything is getting back to normal, Julian still only has 6 teeth.....he is chewing everything in sight. He's also walking around furniture and can stand unaided and has taken a step from the coffee table to the chair I was sitting on this morning, so I think that he'll most probably be walking by his birthday.
We're getting some pixie photos done on Saturday morning and I'm hoping that I'll be able to get one done with him in his birthday MCN that we got him, as well as a family shot and one of just the 5 boys.
AmandaJ - glad to hear things are settling down for you health wise... it's a great feeling.
Hope your pixie photos turn out perfectly for you and Julian is walking for his birthday, i don't think Ava will be
Georgi - I am making a cake for the Wed for a dinner at DP's nans, am thinking of just doing a square cake with green icing, might use some chocolate or something to make a brick wall and make a SECRET FAIRY GARDEN... just use the pre-made decos and put flowers, some choc lady bugs and some lil faries on it.
DP has a niece and nephew that will love to eat it all... hehe not sure if that would look any good .
You have one very smart little man there, keep up the great work with the signing and hope he's walking soon for you!
I think i will change my name, don't want #2 thinking she's not important, might do a combo of their names or something.. not that we have 1 picked yet.. i want to pick a name but DP can't decide... hmm any ideas girls?
Belfie - thanks heaps, she seems better but still having a couple of rough nights.. not sure whats going on... last night she woke at 1:30 gave her her dummy and she was back asleep then at 5am she woke, gave her a cuddle she was asleep in my arms, the second she hit the mattress was awake and sooking, did this 4 times until 6am, had changed her nappy and everything.
In the end in bed with me and out cold til 7!
Hope the party goes well for you and X gets spoilt rotten!
AFM - can't remember if i mentioned but our land settled on Tuesday.. YAY we own something (well the bank does) and we sign building contracts on the 30th... YAY
Ava is on the mend but had a roughish night last night.
Have found a new breakfast.. PUFFED WHEAT she loves it, eats them with or without milk so it's great to have something different.
She eats ANYTHING at the moment, don't shoot me but she had KFC nuggets and popcorn chicken with marks nan yesterday and his nan was wrapt to see her. She also ate her fruit so not ALL bad... lol nan gave her $20 and we went to DFO and she bought a dorothy the dinosaur backpack, maybe she will stop going through my bags now with one of her own!
She is starting to cruise the furniture and do laps of things but not standing by herself yet. She will walk if i hold both her hands.. would love it if she's walkiing by her birthday but i doubt it.
well best get going am having lunch with a friend today, Ava is going to have a pancake for lunch with fresh fruit... YUM, think i will do the same with lots of ice cream and maple syrup and mmmmmmm i'm getting hungry.. THE BABY MADE ME DO IT!
I dont get the yearning for babies to be walking by their first birthday - it's just more work - more tumbles, more potential forehead bruises for birthday photos - hahahahaha.
I just realised i will need to do a new ticker soon
Belfie - Happy labour day today for you hun !!! hehehe - my waters broke this time last year but I didnt go into labour for another 24 hours so was still taking it easy whilst you were in p-a-i-n .
Z has another double ear infection - having a cold, then lack of sleep at child care and rundown - bang! anyway, got the anti's so I know he should show vast improvement today. gotta cook his cake tongiht so I hope he goes down well
Dh has been away this week so has been busy again - amanda I know I have 3 and you have 5 (they help more when older - but still loads of damn washing) - but I know what you mean re timewise etc.
Anyway, got stuff to do surprise surprise so no personals today!
Hey girls. I've been offline for a few days. I suddenly keep getting vertigo attacks overnight and I'm not sleeping well and I am so ill and cannot take care of myself or Maya. I don't have control over the one thing everyone takes for granted - my body. I know I shouldn't get so down and think so negatively but I can't stop thinking I might not even be able to make it to M's 1st bday party which is SO important to me. Heck I can barely even hold her at the moment which is actually much worse. I feel like I am letting everyone down.
Anyway, I have found an specialist who can see me two weeks from now. But hopefully maybe this is just the worst of it and I'll start getting better soon?
I don't know if I'll be on tomorrow - so HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAYS Z and X!
