AMY Yay... Great news that B doesn't have to have an op. That's fantastic to hear

MOI - So what does your new name mean? Glad you were happy with the paed. But I am still sure they won't find anything wrong with M. What a good girl, being so good for the BT. Eeewwy on collecting the samples. That's gonna be tricky to get a wee sample

SAMI - Bye bye, but not farewell.... Will keep in touch on FB

BELFIE - Happy birthday for yesterday. Hope you had a fab day & got spoilt rotton. You must be feeling great about the expressing coming to an end. What are you gonna do with all your spare time now? How's work? How often are you working?

AVASMUM - Good to hear everything is fine with Ava. Gees, it sounds like she's a good sleeper too

Well BJ refused his milk last night (from DH cause I was at netball & we won by the way lol), drank only 50mls or so... And..... No poos when he woke up this morning. So my question is.... Can the cows milk give them runny & lotsa poos? Will his system get use to it or should I do something about it? Any ideas? I will have to ring my sister today & ask her. I guess Fluff is probably the only one that can answer this question as she's the only non first timer (besides Sami of course, & Csab)...

fluff-a-holic - thanks for the advice hun, i will slowly introduce it and see how she goes but what are my other alternatives?
She has been having milk on her cereal, maybe thats whats causing the dry skin, it's not QUITE at the yuck RED and ITCHY stage yet, just small raised red bumps and dry patchy skin.

SamiH - we will miss you , thanks for the birthday wishes, enjoy your non BB time when you get it. Hope your all happy n healthy until we hear from you again!

Moi - Thanks, yeah i am happy with Ava's progress for now, aslong as she STAYS at the 10th% and doesn't slip i guess i will be happy.
don't feel guilty about not taking M in earlier, you have a lot on your plate and it's not fair for him to comment, if it was SUCH a huge issue then your MCHN or Dr should have told you it was urgent earlier.. it's not your fault!
will keep our for you and your gorgeous M, hope you get the samples you need without too much mess or fuss for her and that her blood tests come back normal!
No names yet, am trying to think of something... it's gotta be PERFECT for you.. what about AVASPIG... lol

Georgi - congrats on your netball win.. NICE WORK, i miss playing netball!
Ava sleeps ok, not always so well if i have to get her out of the car but she had been awake from 7 til just after 11 so i guess she was buggered, will try repeating that process again today.. hehe she's going to my cousins at 3 so i can go get her balloons so hopefully she has a big morning nap and wont be grumpy on him.
Not sure bout the milk poos, will start trying Ava with a mix soon, she has been dropping right back on her bottles though was lucky to take 100ml yesterday morning and the same last night.

    Hope everyone else is well.

AFM - just getting all Ava's stuff sorted, ONE tomorrow! hmmm where has the time gone?
Nearly organised for her party, i think, gotta make her cake tonight for Mark's nans tomorrow night.. wish me luck!

    Thanks lovelies

Re the cows milk Georgi - yes if you have made the switch cold turkey it certainly can give them the runs. It doesn't mean he has an intolerance, just that his system needs to get used to it. Zander has been on 50 - 100mls a day - but he doesnt need anymore really cos he is still b/f morning and night. He doesn't have any runnier nappies - but he has also been on anti's which gave him a bit more looser than normal. Why dont you try getting his calcium other ways?? The literature guides us with 600mls of milk per day - but this can be given in whatever form such as yoghurts, cheese, high calcium vegies etc - so realistically you could reduce the milk intake to 400mls a day pretty easily with this.

Anyway, something to play around with.

Z is still terrible overnight - I mean literally screaming and not settling into sleep at all with terrible cough - 6 nights now - we are still surviving on only 2 - 3 hours sleep per night which is just not fathomable, taking him back to the doctors today for another check cos his breath now stinks. So, I had to weigh up if better for me to go to work and be unproductive, or take a personal day - and I have opted for the latter as I think that is fairer to everyone. My job involves some reading and writing papers at the moment and no way I could conentrate and quality would be crap! He had slept a week through the night before this so I dont think it is a habit - and he wont sleep in our bed, and is still screaming in our arms - so I definitely think it is illness v behavioural. But I have no idea and it is ripping me inside out. I think I will get a private person to come in once he is better to help me resettle him again into his night time routine - Tanya/Moi - where did you find yours that you used with Maya?

Awww SamiH hun so sorry to see you go but understand you're very busy atm! The sleep situation sounds awful, hope it gets better.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes... have kinda half celebrated cos was at work yesterday (Georgi - just working 2 days a week)

Re the sleep people, I know that Tanya used Tweddle at home, dunno if you have 'em in ACT? Not sure how she found them tho.

Re milk, we've got X on cow's, but I think my frozen EBM is upsetting his skin (cos I still ate the allergens then), so I'm trialling him on a few days of only cow's milk or leftover fresh EBM... and I think his skin is getting better. Dunno if I'll end up not using the EBM or not if it makes him that itchy. Only about 4 litres sitting there RCH told us if cow's milk exacerbated his skin to try soymilk next.

Ack gotta run, hope to BBL

Georgi - Moi is french for Me. Nothing really to do with me as such. Yeah collecting wee is turning out to be a problem. I have no ideas about the milk sorry.

Avasmum - I'm not Avaspig though? I'm the other babies pig. So maybe I should be Baby#2PIG.

Sami - Sorry to hear about Z's bad sleeping. As belfie said I used Tweddle @ home. I was very happy with the women I got but I imagine it depends who you get. Also I think they are only in Melbourne. Maybe you can ask on the forums what sleep schools or private people there are in Canberra?

Sorry think I am confusing people with my name change. I just decided I wanted to be a little bit more anon when posting on other forums for some reason. Not sure why really.

I am still feeling worried and guilty about M. I can't help wondering if there is something wrong. I am just glad that they are finally doing tests to rule things out. There could be a problem with her growth and if there is I want to know about it so we can do something about it. If there's no problem even better. I will love my little girl no matter how big/small she is. (hmmm.. maybe she will be a jockey?? )

SAMI - Ah huh! So that'll probably explain the runny poos. Luckily they are fewer & not so bad now. I guess he's getting use to it. Funny enough, he only has about 400mls a day anyway, 2 x 200mls & sometimes 100-150 in the arvo. He eats HEAPS of dairy, I mean HEAPS. Cheese, yogurt, ceam cheese, ricotta cheese etc etc. Thanks heaps for clearing that up. I thought you would know.

My aunty is coming over today to look after BJ cause I have a client I need to see in Brisbane. Thankfully she's coming here so that should make things easier. Though now I have changed gyms BJ is getting use to being looked after by other people. I put him in the creche 4-5 days a week. Oh, and he loves playing with dolls lol. I guess DH won't be happy about that lol. Does anyone know where I can get a boy's doll???? Is there such a thing?

Just a quick one from me as BUSY BUSY BUSY today... hope everyone is well.

Just wanted to say to my gorgeous princess Ava, the last year has been an amazing experience and i wouldn't change it for the world!

Was up doing her decorations and cake until 11pm last night, got to bed and she woke, she stayed in with us all night and was up at 6:30 so we got up and let her open her pressies and play with the balloons etc, she did a rhino charge right through them and giggled the whole time.

She has been playing with her wiggles keyboard all morning!

Well lots to do and so little time, best be off and play with my girl before a bottle, a bath and a nap before everyone gets here!

HI all, long time no post, but will try some now.

to all those gorgeous bubba's, and to all those bubbas turning the big 1 soon. Sorry V and I have missed them.

Tanya - Glad the pead went well. How much does Maya weigh now?

Ava - Littla Ava's weight sounds good compared to little V, I am still struggling to get her to 6Kg'a. We will get there soon though. Happy birthday to Miss Ava too.

Georgi - Nice chatting with you the other day. Having a chuckle about BJ loving to play with dolls. hehehe. Have you seen any golly wogs (it will probably show my age if no-onw has heard of that) around, Both DS's loved that toy.

Sami - I have been finding it a bit hard getting on here too, seem to not have as much time anymore. At least you will be doing better than me getting on here every week even if it is only the once. I have to admit though, I do get on here to see how things are going with everyone when I can, but dont get a chance to post. Hope we still see you around on here though. Let me know what your facebook name is. hugs

Belfie - Hey there hun, how is everything going with you and little X? to you too hun, sorry it is abit belated. hugs

Well, I have V's next weigh in next week, a bit nervous actually as she has been roaming all over the house and I am worried she may not have put on much. Yet as long as she puts something on I will be happy. Just under 6 weeks ago she was 5.70Kg, so she still hadn't hit the 6kg mark, so I am really hoping that she has this time. The only problem is, when we think yay she is getting closer to the mark they would like her to be, they're mark goes up too. Due to her getting taller etc. This is how they are working out what they would like her to be. They go by her length and look at the blue book under the 50th percentile for that length and work out the weight they would like her to be from their. (the age at where the 50th percentile for her length is.) V has another 2 teeth breaking the gums, brings her to a total of 8 now. She is always happy, and laughing. Thinks her brothers and sisters are too funny. hehehe. We will be celebrating V's fisrt birthday in a couple of weeks time, ohh boy where has the time gone?
Anyway best be off and will catch up again soon. Kids all on school holidays now and my oldest has graduated from yr 12 last week. Theres my age flaring up again. hehehe.

    Hugs all

Thanks everyone, am not on long again today, got a few things to do this morning and then stuff for her party on the w/end.

Ava had a GREAT day, she was very spoilt and we haven't even seen any of my family yet or half of Marks... hmmmmm this girl is going to need a new room.
Am about to upload pics to FB so please take a look if you like Leah Geisler - Australia | Facebook, went a little camera crazy, imagine what it will be like Saturday.

So far i am pleased to say her fave toy is the wiggles keyboard we bought her, she keeps going back to it all day, she also LOVES her HUGE Dora Couch her aunty, uncle and cousins bought her.
She got HEAPS of books and has been flicking through them herself this morning.

My poor girls teeth were killing her yesterday, she was getting a bit grumpy at our MG lunch but soldiered on til everyone left and then had a tiny sleep in teh car on the way to nans, from there on she was a little grizzly, bright red and HOT, gave her panadol and gel but she stayed a tomato and very warm, got her home, another dose of panadol before bed but she ended up in with us anyway.
HOT AS, her face, her stomach everywhere... my poor girl, had my own personal hot water bottle.
She seems a little better this morning after panadol and more gel at 5am, off to buy some more nurofen and keep my fingers crossed these teeth are through and over and done with by saturday!

Well better get going, Ava is playing with her wiggles keyboard as i speak (great pressie choice if i do say so myself ) and trying to upload some pics.

Thanks again everyone, will do some personals maybe tomorrow if i get time b4 the w/end.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BETHANY!

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY AVA - BJ has that wiggles keyboard too. He LOVES it, but it drives me mad lol

My poor little fella has a little cold. He obviously has caught it from the creche at the gym, he's been there everyday this week

He was crying for hours last night. I think it was his teeth cause about 20mins after I put the teething necklace on him, he finally went to sleep. He wears it all day though I take it off before his bath, before bed

CSAB Don't worry, I've heard of the golly wog too. Just have never seen them anywhere. Though I haven't really looked. Good idea! I'll keep my eyes open for one

Off to swimming lessons this morning
