Ava - That looks wonderful, I sure hope you get it? GL. I absolutely dred getting the needles done. I have to take V back in 2weeks for the meningoccal one. Ohh the joys.
DS has big plans, but I do worry. Onyl as the industry he wants to get into is a difficult one to make it in. Everyone wants to be famous. I want him to make sure he has a career to fall back on iykwim. So fingers crossed his dream comes true.

Avasmum - Very exciting that Ava is taking steps and that you have a house. It looks great.

csab - Congrats on DS winning an award. He sounds like he's doing so well already. And yay on V getting to 6kgs. M was fine with the 12 month immunisations. No reactions at all, so hopefully V will be the same.

I'll do an update on me and M in point form cos a lot to cover:
    • DH's aunt had a heart attack this week. She's on life support at the moment and we've been told that there is too much brain damage so she won't last much longer. V sad.
    • I saw a new doctor today who was better than the last one but still not what I'm after. I'm not sure whether to keep looking for a doctor or wait for now because I am doing alright at the moment. I did have a quick talk to him about what would happen with future pregnancies, which I knew he wouldn't be able to answer, but yeah he agreed it's a tough decision. Risking my health vs expanding our family. He did say if it were him he would go for expanding the family and he did suggest maybe we can try some things to prevent the Meniere's from occuring again but it would all be experimental. Anyway, for now I need to get well before considering it.
    • Made it to 3 1/2 weeks without a vertigo attack and the feeling of moving all the time is lessening. So I really hope I am getting better!!
    • M now refuses to use her walkers again and will only walk holding on to people's hands and that's ALL she wants to do all day long. So my back is sore!!! She is so scared about trying to take steps on her own so I reckon it'll be ages till she walks still. My poor back!
    • M has started to sometimes get back down from standing on her own. When she is distracted. She is so cautious with everything! So most of the time she still calls for help to get back down.
    • M has started hitting me when I won't do what she wants me to do. I understand that she is frustrated and doesn't understand what she's doing but it does upset me a bit and I don't know what to do when she hits me. Any ideas? I guess behaviour wise she is definitely a toddler now!
    • M still doesn't really say much at all which is worrying and upsetting me now. But I dunno if I just can't hear her. Like the other day I think I heard her say Bee when I said Bye. And I was yelling at our cat saying "Out Out" and now when M sees our cat sometimes she says "Oo Oo". She's NEVER said MUM or MAMA!!!! She mostly says "Dada" and then babbles and I can't understand anything else. It sounds like everyone else's bubs are saying heaps of words and in comparison M isn't really saying any.

MOi - Ohh hun, I am so sorry about your DH mum. What a terrible time for your family ontop of everything else. Try not to worry about M, V doesnt always say words continuously, she says her main words like Mum, dad, and sometimes repeats some words you say, but not clearly. Dh wouldnt even understand half the things V says lol. I think you get to pick up on what they are trying to say. Some words are out of the blue, then may take a while before it gets spoken again. V says No and shakes her head, but thats because I must say that all the time. M will get their and you will wonder what you were worried about. Mum is also a harder word for bubs to say, so sometimes takes a bit longer, which is why most bubs say Dada first. Dont forget hun, she is still young and still practising with her sounds. V still babbles on and points at things then laughs. So I just talk back to her by saying Ohhh, thats good. Gee your clever. Your such a good girl etc. I always talk to V clearly so she knows the right way of saying it. From the moment she was born always spoke clearly. I think that helps alot too. When ever someone would talk to her babyish, I would get annoyed only because thats not how I want her to learn to speak. As I mentioned, M will be fine hun, she will amaze you with the words she speaks. Hang in there. So glad your symptoms appear better. I hope it continues to improve. Hugs.

Thanks csab. I know I'm prob worrying for nothing about M. I do talk to her all the time properly but she just doesn't say many words clearly. But yeah I do wonder if I'm like your DH and I just can't pick up on it.

Oh and it's not my DH's mum who's dying, it's his aunt. Still not good though! It's his dad's sister and his father is very distraught as you can imagine.

but she just doesn't say many words clearly. But yeah I do wonder if I'm like your DH and I just can't pick up on it.
Well I'm still waiting for mum/mumma clearly. He was saying a few things but now he's saying less - really just dadda all the time... then just last week I was saying oh dear he's not talking much and he's been babbling madly ever since! (not much that's intelligible though!). And as sure as eggs, as soon as you post this, she'll probably chatter for a week!

Oh and we are suddenly getting hitting and tantrums too! I didn't expect it so early (duh me I guess) so I've gotta learn what to do with this too! Love to hear some wise tips!

Oh and re walking, X will not walk holding hands, but will cruise furniture. And walks on his knees it's VERY slow! Sound frustrating for you that Maya won't get down on her own... I'll cross fingers for you that she masters that one quickly. We're mad keen for X to walk to save DH's back a bit... even though it may mean more bending from the sound of it!

Sending you big big it's a tough time but pls try not to fret. Maya is just gorgeous and she will get there and do everything just right, at her own sweet time & pace! And so sorry to hear about DH's aunt

csab - i'm sure your DS is more than aware that not everyone makes it and it sounds like he has his head screwed on (thanks to you i'm sure ), i have no doubt he will make it in whatever he chooses to do.
I hope we get the house to, will be 1 less thing to stress about... well until we start paying for it...

Moi - oh hun i am so sorry about DH's aunt, my condolences and hope everyone can
grieve and remember all the good times shared, it's so sad. i hope she can R.I.P!

I wouldn't worry about M at all, Ava rambles to herself in mumbo jumbo and randomly throws out words then we never hear them again, she has stopped saying Mum.
The only words she says regularly are DAD and an attempt at Jack & Cass (our dogs).
They all take their own time to do things and i'm sure as soon as M has her confidence she will just get up and walk, i thought A was NEVER going to crawl, she kept getting on her knees but wouldn't go anywhere then all of a sudden no army crawling she just got up and went.
These children of ours are strange little creatures and they are all unique.. i guess thats why we love them so much
Oh yeah A tries to gt in and smack me 1st if i try and smack her hand for ripping the DVD's off the shelf!
As for you i am so glad the vertigo attacks have stopped and i hope they stay that way, please take it easy with all the other stuff going on and try not to stress yourself out.
If your not happy with the Dr then i would maybe get another opinion but it sounds awesome he is willing to discuss options of another bub for you guys!

I LOVE YOUR AVY - looking HOT...

    Hope everyone else is well.

AFM - well keeping my on the house but am staying positive
Poor Ava had a temp yesterday and was very sooky, then last night temp was 38 before bed and she wouldn't eat her tea (so odd for my piglet) then at 4:30 thismorning temp was 38.5 so more nurofen, some cuddles and back to bed.
Seems to have come down a bit for now (hoping it's not just cos of nurofen), i think might be the delayed reaction to the MMR needle!
Am hoping she can have some time to play outside today as the sun is hiding and it's not too hot... YAY
Oh also forgot to add she's officallly walking... well taking 5-10 steps at a time.. not all the time still only randomly over the last 2 days but it's a start... i'm so proud of her for trying.

Moi - So sorry hun, I think I had my mum on the brain, I am so sorry about your DH Aunty. May she RIP. Sending my condolences to you and your family. I hope you and your DH are ok. M will definately pick up eveything in her own time. Each of mine did things at different stages. My DS1 was chatting away in almost a full conversation at 1yr. He would talk the ear off my mum and dad. yet my DS2 was lazy with his words. Yet DS1 would just sit there and listen to everything being said and draw etc, and DS2 would be bouncing of the walls so to speak running before he was one. Just to show a difference. Little M really is doing beautifully hun. Hugs

Ava - Funny you said that about Ava not all that well, and thinking it had something to do with the immunisations. V has been really whingy in the morning and woke up at 5am and just tossed and turned and cried like she was in pain and not well. Gave her her bottle, some panadol and some water as she is loving water now. She didnt have a temp, but was also thinking that the heat is playing up with her. Put her back to bed and she only just woke up at 9.30am. I was thinking the same with the needles giving her a delayed reaction. hmmmm. too for the house. Woohoo little Ava on walking. Clever girl.

Poor V... i read the immunisation sheet and it said a reaction can occur 5-12 days AFTER the needles with the MMR one.. it's less likely to be an immediate reaction, symptoms can include:

1 - High fever over 39, 2 - Faint red rash (not contagious)
    3 - Head cold and/or runny nose 4 - Cough and/or puffy eyes
5 - Drowsiness or tiredness 6 - Swelling of the salivary glands

Ava had a high temp, runny nose, seemed a bit tired and is off her food so i am matching it to about 4 symptoms?

Thanks guys. We 're OK at the moment. I am more upset for DH's dad who has just lost his sister. Also I find it hard to see her FB profile. How odd isn't it that we create these things and then life can suddenly be taken away from us. The funeral will obviously be the tough day but I dunno at this stage if I'll even be able to go or not.

belfie - I'm glad to hear that X is doing similar things to M. I guess it always seems to me that other bubs are already walking and talking by now. I know I shouldn't compare and it's not that I am comparing all the time, it's also that poor M is so frustrated that she cannot get her meaning across and that she cannot walk. I guess I just want to see her succeed in the things she's trying to do. Oh and M babbles ALL THE TIME. She 'talks' almost non-stop for ages now. Just none of it is intelligible.

Avasmum - Oh so exciting about the walking. Can A come over to show M how it's done? Sorry to hear she's sick though. It does sound like it's prob from the injections. Fingers crossed for the house.

csab - Thanks for the reassurance hun. I do know bubs do things in their own time. I just want to see little M less frustrated.

I'm not sure how accurate the Wii Fit is but I weighed M on it today and it said she's 7.8kgs!! I hope that's true! I'm getting her weighed at the MCHC in a couple of weeks time so I guess I'll then know for sure. I wasn't going to keep going with constant weighings cos it's so disheartening when she hasn't put on weight but I wanna know if she's 8kgs yet so we can finally turn her seat around!

Ohh.. and M said MUM for the FIRST TIME!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL just after I complain that she's never said it, she said it today! It was so cute. She just kept saying "mum mum mum mum" over and over. awwwwwwww. Now I prob won't hear it again for a long time, but at least she finally said it.

    GO M... YAY GOOD GIRL

Hope your well enough to go to the funeral if you feel up to it but don't put any added pressure on yourself!
I can def bring A over to show M how it's done, she never does anything when requested though so might backfire... once i know whats going on with A and once things have settled a little for you will send you a txt. wont wait to long though #2 might be here...

Quick update, poor Ava was sooky and had temps all day, didn't have panadol so could only give nurofen every 6hrs , she was lucky to eat 1 whole meal over the day.
Went to DP's mums and she even refused Macca's chips and nuggets, got her home and her temp was up to 38.8 so gave her a bottle some nurofen and bed.. she stirred every 10-15min until just after 10.. then in with me temp was back up to 39.3 or something stupid so here i was with a new wiggles DVD in my bed, spoon feeding her a hydrolite icypole as she couldn't have nurofen yet.
THEN she wouldn't let a cold cloth near her so off for a cool shower, then the wot wots on DVD wil she fell asleep... tossed, turned and grizzled all night the poor thing.
Temp down to 36 today but it did that yesterday.
She is still very sooky so going to get some panadol and tag team that and nurofen today if her temp goes up again.

Avasmum - Sorry to hear Ava is so sick. Hope she's feeling better soon.

M has been a bit grumpy lately and the other day I realised a tooth is starting to poke it's way through. It's one of her top teeth but next to her front ones which haven't come out yet. So she may end up looking very funny with side teeth but no front teeth. Though I think I can see her two front teeth also coming down. So the poor girl is working on maybe 3 teeth at once. No wonder she's not her happy self.

She's still exhausting me with wanting to walk all day long holding onto my hands. It's really hurting my back too.

Funeral for my DH's aunt is on Wednesday.

On Sunday some idiot merged into our car. It was pretty scary cos he pushed us into the oncoming traffic lane. A car coming the other direction near missed us. So it could have been a lot worse than it was. In the end there's not a huge amount of damage to the car and we got pushed but not slammed into IYKWIM, so none of us were hurt and the actual collision was small. So thankfully we are all ok which is the main thing! The car is going in for fixing on Wednesday so that's a PITA. Dunno how long we'll be without our family car for.

Hello to everyone. Hope you are all well.

Hey guys, a quick update as i am absolutely BUGGERED and about to head to bed.

Took A to the Dr's today as i had a gut feeling it wasn't JUST a reaction to her needles, so glad i did.
She has an ear infection, in both ears.. 1 is worse than the other but she's on AB's for 5 days and then hopefully she'll be back to normal.
Dr said i was right though was a reaction to her needles and the high temps and being run down caused an ear infection

So after her C**P night the other night she woke over 5 times last night and would just sook even in my arms, in the end i gave up comforting her and just let her sob herself to sleep it was so hard but i am buggered.

I have not felt too bad this entire PG but :O i am stuffed, i have a constant headache, i haven't had a decent nights sleep in 3 days, Ava sooks and clings to me all day and on top of that DP went out sat night, then Sunday he was hung over so i took A to the shops to get panadol and lay-by her x-mas presents.
Then we came home and he decided he was well enough to go out and spend 4hrs on the go-karts!
So not only did i not sleep more than 2hrs sat night through Ava and his drunken snoring but i couldn't rest Sunday as he wasn't even in the Fing house to watch her.
Glad he bought popcorn and chocolate and took her to the shop for 30min to go BUY tea!

The temps are down but she is still sooky and clingy, tonight the poor kid has had nurofen, AB's and then just before bed some panadol... hope it see's her through.. i hate giving her medicine but it has to be done!

Sorry that wasn't so short.. had to get it out otherwise will be laying in bed thinking all night.

    Hope everyone is well.

MOI i hope M's teeth cut soon for you and so glad your ok after the accident.

    Hey everyone, I'm back!

Our week in Sydney was C R A Z Y... So busy. We got home yesterday arvo. I managed 5 sign ups too so business was great, it was certainly worth the trip.

BJ was fantastic in the car. On the way down we left at 7pm & stopped at Port Macquarie. He was a little unsettled, kept waking up crying. But it wasn't too bad. The next day he slept in the car for 1.5hours & was fine the rest of the way. We left from Newcastle yesterday morning & drove straight here. It took around 8-9hours, he slept 2 x 1.5hours & was great the rest of the time. He was also really good whilst away. He slept no problem. Though he was very, very clingy. Wanted to be picked up alot & whinged when DH or I left the room. Hopefully he'll be over that now. He's back to eating properly now. Phew, I thought he was turning into a fussy eater. It must've just taken this long for him to get over the gastro.

I managed to get to the gym 5 days last week, though had an off week. Just couldn't do the intensity I normally do. Ate terribly though. So it looks like i'll need to spend the next week counting points again to get back on track. I weigh in on Thursday so hope I haven't put too much on.

Have been getting bad cramps & period like pains the past few days. I could swear I was pg. But no sore BB's. So I tested this morning, and.......... I'm not pregnant. Woohoo. AF must be on the way. Nearly 10weeks since my last AF.

Sorry for no personals.... I'll catch up soon. Off to work off this cheer (to the gym)

I GOT A FULL NIGHTS SLEEP
Poor A had Nurofen which i think helped her throat/ears cos she actually ate a whole chop, veggies and 3 massive spoons of potato for tea and then right before bed (2hrs after nurofen) she had some panadol.

Georgi - i am so glad your trip went well and B did so well in the car for such a long trip!
    Have fun at the gym
Not PG but no AF for 10wks... i wish... lol only kidding i'm happy being PG and NOT having AF just not looking forward to AFTER bubs...

Just wondering from those out there with OLDER kids, when did you start toilet training or getting bubs (she's not a bub anymore.. my little TODDLER ) used to the potty? Or anyone without older kids when are you thinking about doing it?
Just saw another thread that made me think thats all.
Whenever i go to mums A heads straight for my nieces potty and sits on it, she follows me to the toilet and watches and even gets toilet paper and 'wipes' well her legs but in the general direction... should i get her a potty and start familiarizing her with sitting on it without a nappy, just to get used to it for later?

    Talking Very proud

Sorry girls another post from me...

I am so proud of Ava, her ear infection has had her sooking and being a PITA all day but last night she decided to give walking a go again, despite her balance issues.
Got a short vid on FB so thought would post it:

    Login | Facebook

She falls but gets straight back up and takes more steps... she did it for about 20-30min exploring EVERY room in the house.

Very sooky again today and not at all interested in walking so maybe once the AB's kick in and some panadol she will try again.

SO PROUD OF YOU PRINCESS! xoxoxoxoxoxo

Avasmum - Go Ava. Clever girl. I'm sure she'll be running around soon. I hope she's feeling better soon. Nothing worse than when they are sick. As for toilet training I've been wondering the same thing. In fact we did buy a potty on the weekend because we saw one we liked while shopping for something else. I don't think M is quite ready yet though.

Georgi - Welcome back. Great to hear BJ slept so well in the car. M won't ever sleep in the car any more so any long trips have to be timed around her awake time instead.

DH went to his aunt's funeral today. I decided the trip would be too much for Maya and I so we stayed home.

Our car is in to be fixed.

One of M's top teeth is poking through a bit now and I think another will soon break through. She's still quite sooky.

Hello to everyone else. Very quiet in here.

Moi - hope M's teeth are through soon for you, #7 is moving down with Ava..
How did your DH go at the funeral, hope he and his father are ok!
What potty did you get, am thinking i might just get one for in the lounge and put her on it every now and then with no nappy on, get her used to it.. she already has the curiosity.
    How have you been feeling?

    Hi to everyone else.

Had my night out last night and had a ball, a nice glass of wine, some great company.. i didn't know myself.
The girls even commented on the fact i wore make-up for once. got home about 10:30 so not very late but it was nice.
A is trying to walk everywhere now, sometimes she almost tries to run.. it's so cute because she is so little she looks like a walking doll.

How is everyone going with x-mas plans?
I lay-by'd A's smart trike @ target, also 2 little cheap play dough sets and some crayola crayons, am thinking might just get her some cookie cutters etc and maybe some clothes and she's done.
Still gotta get out and do brothers, nieces and nephews yet before i get to fat!

Bought a few things for my hosp bag, bought bubs some nappies so now to get carseat fitted etc and we should be good... so much to do in so little time!
