Vix - HUGE HUGE HUGE  my thoughts are with you at this hard time babe. im glad you feel comfortable enough to tell us, and no that no matter what we will be here for you.
Pretz - huge  for you to. sorry to hear Noah was grizzly today and that DH being away didnt help. i no what you mean about being emotional about the floods, its probably worse for you coz your sooooo much closer but today i donated money and i almost cried. its all just sooo sad. re: the food, im thinking about giving Coops some fruit and stuff to suck on prob around 4/5 months if hes keen i will just keep going and puree my own baby food and stuff.
AFM - well you prob saw on FB that DF stayed home from work the last 2 days. i didnt tell you ladies coz im still coming to terms with it in my own head but i was diagnosed with PND a few days ago. i just feel like my world is out of control, i cry all the time, generally for no reason what so ever, i blame myself for the stupidest things that clearly arent my fault, i sleep alot and i have no energy or motivation, (this next one im completely ashamed off) i dont like holding Cooper, i completely freak out, DF will take him and settle him and im happy to walk round behind him and 'be there' but i just dont want to do it myself. i have to go back to the GP next tuesday, she sent me home to think about wetha i want to go on medication or if i think i can get thru it with 'talking therapy' i dont no though. i feel like i would be a coward if i just went on the medication, just taking the easy way out, my thought is its not really fixing the problem its just covering it up KWIM??
anyhoo enough about me, my best friend (who actually lives in ipswich, but his house is ok) is about to become a daddy :D his girlfriend was just talkin to me on FB asking me 'how i did it drug free' i told her i didnt have a choice. atm shes have contractions 6 mins apart lasting 50 seconds. im so excited for them. at the same time im annoyed, (shes having a girl) so i was super excited to go shopping for baby girl stuff and i did while i was in Perth, but i have no idea what so ever what ive done with what ive bought them  its definately not here and i was talking to mum and she recons she hasnt seen it either!! dam it.
anyways im buggered, DF and i have been walking lately, bout 7km up and down hills with a pram and im hurting. plus coops is asleep so yeh night all. sweet dreams xx

Good Morning girls,
Thanks girls for your support.
Raffy - I kinda had a feeling about you and PND as you probably recall me telling you to get tested. Regardless of what is going on in my life, I AM HERE FOR YOU. I am on FB a hundred times throughout the day so just Inbox me. If you want my mobile just let me know. I had PND and I survived. Just take each day as it comes. Make sure you get outside to do nothing but sit, take a walk as often as possy. I would say try each day but I know even a simple thing like that can be overwhelming alone. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel, just a few twists and turns to get to it. Start a journal and write your feelings in it. ILY Raffy and have been concerned about you since you mentioned how you were feeling and how you were not handling things weeks and weeks ago. You are NOT a coward for taking meds and esp since you are not even wanting to hold Cooper, it could be a good idea. I had one on one counselling here in my home as i did not want to do group or meds as I needed to remain in control. That was my big thing ----control.
Pretz - a suggestion......wait till as close to 6 months as possy as their gut is not ready for food until then. Most babies cannot handle food at 4 months which is why we are recommended to wait until 6 months. Bailey started at 5.5 months, got the worst constipation even though I chucked him on the boob straight after his food. I stopped it for 2 weeks and started again and he was fine. NJ started at 5.5 months and was fine. Also, they still have a tongue thrust (I think that is what it is called) which is when you put food in their mouth and they automatically push it out with the tongue. It is not that they don't like it (prolly dont anyway as it is new to them) but more because they have not yet learnt to swallow anything more than liquid. It is trial and error and just take it VERY VERY slow. ILY and hope Peter can come home soon.
Okay, Alannahrama is getting sleepy and I need to shower.

aww vix, you made me cry. thank you so so so much. it helps so much knowing i have your support coz you know what im going through. i snap at DF all the time and just expect him to understand, when he really doesnt. i feel horrible coz he works a full day then has to come home to me practically throwing a baby at him before hes had the chance to walk through the door. so i can imagine it must be just as frustrating for him as it is for me. i do try and help in other ways by doing the cooking and cleaning while DF entertains cooper but i no he needs a break sometimes as well. i think i will try the medication and see how it goes, if it really helps then i think it will be worth it. i have known how i was feeling wasnt 'normal' for ages, i was just fighting it within my own head and i didnt want to admit it. but when i was home in Perth i didnt realise how obvious it must have been coz my mum pulled me aside and asked if everything was ok and i just burst into tears, she said her and her friend had noticed it and reminded me that we have depression in our family which wouldnt have helped. i hate myself for it and i LOVE cooper to bits, and we have our good days and bad days but unfortunately there are more bad than good. Thanks again hun ILY xoxox

Hi guys :)
 Vix. I can imagine how stressful & scary all this is for you. We have to wait til the end of the month to see if DD1 needs to have the lumps on her neck biopsied or not.
Hoping its nothing major & that you can get an answer with your weight problems.
Raffy - I'm also dealing with PND. Have had it after each of my kids & have just started meds for it last week. I have issues talking about it though.
 Here for you any time!!
Brydz - Hows the water down there now? Hope none of your family etc is affected by it.
Summer won't be starting solids til close to 6 months. The recommendations change every day  My others have been around 5ish - 6 months. We'll be doing BLS (baby led solids) rather than puree's. I've actually done it with all my kids, but didn't know what it was til I had DS. The idea is that they feed themselves what they feel they need.
All good here. Stubborn little turd has decided she's not needing so much sleep through the day & is still waking every few hours through the night. She slept better last night in bed with me, so we might start co sleeping soon. Will see how DH feels about it. He might not be ready yet...
-
thanks Clover  same goes for you, im here if you need me, anytime xox

my best friend became a daddy at 9.30 this morning to miss Chloe. 12 hour labour. 7pd 11oz, 52cm long and a full head of black hair, she is beautiful. Cooper and Chloe i think it has a good ring to it :p
-
Raffy - no worries! I was the same - used to greet DH at the door with Bailey. I was happier spending time with Diesel than my own child. One thing I have heard about in the last few years is to just jot down on some paper what you would like DH to do when he arrives home so that he does not need to feel like a mind reader and you won't get cranky and frustrated with him not being a mind reader.....I have not done it so........might be worth a try though! Awesome news on the safe arrival of Chloe. That was one of my nmes I had on my list for Alannahrama! :)
Clover - sorry to hear you have had pnd with each child. That truely sux. Have the meds kicked in yet? I was thinking about doing the same with Alannah although I will still start with purees. Each night she sits on my knee whilst we eat dinner and she loves watching us eating. Pretty sure it won't be too long before she begins reaching out for my food! :) Good luchkwith DD1 and her lumps. Have they been there for long? I pretty calm about it now and have just been sooooo busy since being told to go for the biopsy so I don't think about it. I know MOnday I will be beginning to feel nervous and esp Tuesday morning as my appointment is not until the arvo!
AFM: Dh has gone fishing this morning. Should be back around lunch time. Since Wednesday I have cleaned out and reorganised my linen press, done atleast as dozen loads of washing, and folded / put away inc allllll the washing I folded before we went away that was still on the table! (That was 3 weeks worth alone), DH vacuumed for me last night and then he went to do some grocereies whilst I mopped, rearranged the boys rooms yesterday whilst they were at MIL's, this morning I change a wet bed, washed the sheets and tumble dried them. Have just washed the doggy blankets and they will dry down in the gazebo over the next few days as it is drizzling here atm. When the boys have a sleep this arvo I need to take some pics of stuff for my nephew (toys) to see if SIL is happy with them - pretty sure she will be coz she loves our hand me downs! Heaps more to do but time for a coffee and Missy has just woken up.
Alannahrama is down to two sleeps now. A morning one (which was short this morning :( ) and an arvo one! Eeeek.

Vix - DD has always had one enlarged lymph node on her neck, but thats common in kids so we've had it checked, but never worried. About 2 months ago I realised it was about the sice of a 20 cent piece, rather than a 5c piece. There were/are also 2 more about the same size, if not bigger at the base of her hair line.
We had an u/s done, but it didn't really give us much of an answer. That one could be cystic. The others are glands :dunno: We've had problems with headlice the past few months, so we need to keep her clear of them (thank the Lord for school holidays!!!) & hope that it was just a reaction to them. If nothing changes they'll decide weather or not to biopsy them.
-
oh wow my life sounds like a picnic compared to some of yours at the moment.. :(
raffy -firstly congrats to your friend glad it went well with the new bub arrival. secondly very sorry to hear you are struggling with PND :( I hope you don't feel bad about it as it IS an illness and it CAN be treated. You will get through it, I know you will. Cooper is gorgeous and you are an amazing mummy, try not to ever doubt that and just take each day as it comes. I'm so proud of you for being so open about your struggles and can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be. I've had 2 episodes of major depression in the past 7 or so years and it is awful to go through. I used to hate just getting out of bed some times. It would be so much harder with a baby. HHHHUUUGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HUGSSSSSSSSSSSSSS and don't hesitate to talk to any of us if you need to. It will be okay eventually. Even without PND there are always bad days. I struggle some times. Try and find as much love and support as you can to help you get through. xoxo
vix -sorry to hear about your thyroid troubles and I hope the results aren't bad. sorry you are struggling with the weight gain and self image at the moment. you are beautiful no matter what. not sure what else I can say that would be helpful. xoxo
clover -Oh hun you have PND also? thats no good. I hope that you feel better now that you have started on your meds and are able to enjoy that beautiful baby of yours! Huge Hugs for you too!! don't really know what else to say except like I said to Raffy, we are all here for you to talk to no matter how hard things get you can say anything and we don't judge because we all care bout one another :)
xoxo
pretz -hello to you and Noah! hope its nice weather and not raining any more up there. as for your group question, i'm going to start BLW whenever vinny is able to start holding food reasonably well, whether that is closer to 4 or 6 months will have to wait and see. ATM he is starting to watch me eat and lick his lips etc.
afm all good here.
nan and my uncle who live in Carisbrook had to get evacuated yesterday from floodwaters. they are okay, they are heading home today apparently their houses were both spared but nans shed went underwater (not sure how deep). lucky!
and out at mums the creek came up higher than EVER seen before and it was spectacular to watch but got to within 20 metres of mums place so it was a little frightening but I think it would take a lot of rain to get up the hill.. I ended up out there thursday til this morning because the bridges were all under again (went down thursday morn long enough for me to come home go to mums group and go back out to mums). the roads are still blocked so I had to drive via Avoca to get home. that is about 48kms for what would normally be 14kms..
Vinny is going great. 12 weeks old today!! starting to sleep through every couple of nights. Last 2 hasn't been as good but the weather was warmer and both nights I slackened off on the bedtime bath routine. Starting it again tonight.
He got weighed and measured on thursday
6.200 kg and 63cm and that is a gain of 610g and 3cm in 3 weeks! growing like a mushroom!
Haven't responded to J's messages yet. Not sure if I want to or not.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xo

-
Thanks Brydz  that really means alot. im glad that your nan, uncle and mum werent affected by the floods down there and you managed to get to mothers group and back. Happy 12 weeks to master Vinny wow our youngest little bub is 12 weeks, what a spin out. Coops is 14 weeks tomoro and so is Clovers Summer, and correct me if im wrong Vix i believe our oldest little miss is 17 weeks tomro?? so crazy hey. huge congrats to your friend birthing a very healthy little man this morning, i was the same yesterday when Laura gave birth and Chris told me via text but hadnt announced it on FB and DF was at work so i had no one to tell, i swear i almost exploded hence why i announced it in here hahah. crazy that there is 2 baby Bens in here and my DF is a Ben and then there is 2 Summers and 2 Noahs lol
AFM - we have some friends staying over tonight that have driven over from WA so thats nice and we are gonna head out to dinner tonight and then have a few quiet drinks at home, Coops has been really good today even with all the driving around and getting in and out of the car that we've done. hes asleep atm, poor little man was pooped. im feeling good today, the house is clean, Coopers being good and its the weekend so DF is here, plus he got up to coops last night and is getting him tonight, amazing what a good nights sleep can do :)
i was so hesitant about announcing my PND (ashamed i spose) but im so glad i did just knowing i have wonderful women to talk to makes so much difference. ILY gals xoxox

Wow, it was so quiet in here 2 days ago and now it's nice and chatty! I love it though! lol
Raffy - Firstly, I'm sorry to hear about the PND honey, but like all the other girls have said, it's nothing to be ashamed about and we're all here for you and we all love you. Also remember that you are a wonderful Mummy and an awesome person and that you are doing an excellent job with Coops. I would agree with Vicks that there's no shame in taking the meds. That is what I would do. Congrats on your friends on the birth of their baby girl. How exciting! When I hear of someone having a baby now, it gets me all excited about having another baby, but for the moment, I'm just going to enjoy Noah and when the time comes (perhaps later this year) then DH and I will see about baby #2! lol
Vix - Thanks honey, ILY2! Sounds like you have been busy cleaning and tidying up! I have been doing bits and pieces too the last couple of days as Noah seems to be able to entertain himself for longer now and isn't as clingy (touch wood) anymore. Yay!! I can't believe that Alannah is 17 weeks tomorrow! Holy cow, time sure has gone fast! I can't believe that last year this time we were all making babies and some of us didn't even know we were UTD yet.....and now our bubs are nearly 4 months old!! Happy 17 weeks for tomorrow baby girl! :confetti: I can't believe Noah is heading for 16 weeks this coming week! :o Good luck for Tuesday honey, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers and will be thinking of you!
Clover - Sorry to hear about your PND too. I'm here for you too if you ever want to talk. Like I said to Raffy as well, just remember that you are doing an excellent job with your beautiful baby girl!
Brydz - Thanks honey. Yes, it hasn't rained here for the past 3 days so that's good. There has been a lot of volunteers that has gone to help clean up the streets and help people clean their houses around the city and areas that were affected. I would have gone to help too, but can't take Noah with me and don't really want to leave him with anyone either so it's a bit hard, but I did go through my wardrobe this morning and threw out 2 bags of clothing that has been in there for way longer than it should've been (most of it is too small and was too small before I actually even fell pregnant) so it's gone now. I donated it to the flood victims. ;) Glad to hear that you had a beautiful day there too and that your nan and uncle didn't have any flooding/damage to their houses. Congrats to your friend giving birth to her baby boy this morning! Yay!
Nikki - Hope everything is going well on your end honey. Missing you and looking forward to hearing from you sometime!
Re my group question - Thanks to you all for answering!
AFM, DH is finally home. He was away for 3 days and 2 nights and I missed him so much. He is just doing some paper work and then we're off to bed.....mmmmm......that might sound a bit "dirty" but it's not like that, well, not yet anyways as the last time I tried to DTD it was so unbearable that I have given up on it all together now, well at least until I see my OB/Gyn on Thursday this week and see what he says.... DH is off again tomorrow and will be working over south west from here for the next 2 weeks, so will be spending 2 nights away, one night here, 2 nights away, one night here and so on... :( Noah has been a good boy the last 2 nights sleeping 8.5 hour stretches before waking around 4-4.30am for a feed so I'm happy with that and today we spent the day at my MIL's and he had a 1.5 hour sleep so was good too.
Well then, I best get going as I have a few more things to do before heading to bed.
Love to you all!
xoxox

morning.
ick its quarter to 5 :( stupid hot weather I can barely sleep and V keeps waking for feeds!! :( not fair. I wanted a good sleep.. my nipples are getting real uncomfortable/sore again so I might have to bottle feed ALL day today. :(
we went to visit baby Ben. he is soooooooooo beautiful! I'm so proud of my friend she did the most amazing job from what she tells me! he is a full 24 hours old now as of about 25 mins ago. far out brussel sprout it goes by in the blink of an eye! especially those first few days.
I got some photos of Vinny and him together. very adorable. on my fb page :)
got no plans for today, going to ring J and find out what he wants to do about sitting down to organize everything. if he won't come see me and do it then we can do it via the lawyers. because I want orders written before he has bub himself.
pretz yeah I wanna go and do something to help the flood people here at Carisbrook, but I can't with V. makes things difficult. And I don't really have much worth donating, as I have not long cleared out a heap of clothes and things and given them to the salvos!
raffy your friends name is Laura too? that is my friends name (who had her bub yesterday) lol. so many people with the same names around its weird.
glad you came out and told us of your struggles and like I said we are all here for you any time of day or night (well here i am at almost 5am on the computer! lol).
vix OMG our dear Alannah is 17 weeks old? wow! doesn't feel like 17 weeks since we were all hanging out to hear the news of our first october bubba arriving!!
I was just thinking a few days ago I'll have to seriously get organized for my return to work (its probably about another 12 weeks away but the last 12 weeks went too fast for my liking it will be here before I know it!!)
gotta go back to bed. V thinks its awake time cos I'm on the computer. lol.
nighty night sweet dreams all

Hello girls!
Just wanted to pop in and say hello...... I'm having a bit of a sucky day today as I'm missing DH (felt like I didn't really get to spend much time with him or talk to him as he was so busy with paperwork etc last night and left again at 5am this morning! He is away at work again and will be working away for the next 2 weeks only coming home every 3rd night for one night (coming home on Tuesday night at this stage) and it sucks. I'm feeling a bit lonely at the moment but probably just being silly as I have Noah and he keeps me quite busy. lol
Brydz - Sorry to hear that J hasn't rung you.... did you end up giving him a call? Hope he will come and see you so you guys can talk and sort out things. :crossfingers: I'm not sure whether your fb status this morning may have been in relation to J?
Hello to everyone else! Hope you're all having a great day!
Well then, off for a cuppa tea before Noah wakes up, he has been asleep for about 40 mins now. Went to do some grocery shopping and when we came back, he crashed. ;)
Love to you all! :heartbeat:
xoxoxo

Happy 17 Weeks Alannah and Happy 14 weeks Coopy Woopy and little Summer!!
Vix - Coops says maaamaaa when he cries, he always has but i claim its him calling me when hes sad hahah
Pretz - thanks so much sweety. like i said it means so much knowing i have you ladies to talk to. i have decided im gonna go on the meds, if it helps me deal with everything better then it will be so worth it. thats all i want, i just want to relax, feel in control and enjoy being a mummy to my beautiful little man, even though ive 'been there' i feel like ive missed out on the first 3 months nd there is no way i want to miss another day.
Brydz - wow about both being Lauras. She FB msged me this morning poor honey is struggling with the pain of BFing and wanted my help. it is going way to fast, im considering getting a job just 1 or 2 nights a week, i think that will help with the PND as well if i can just get away for a couple of days/nights (depending on the job, as ive only worked in hospitality which usually means night) and talk to some other adults, plus earn a little bit of money, DF doesnt mind, but i feel like im bludging, feel like ive lost my independence even though we have joint accounts and all that i just want to contribute even if its only like $50 a week lol
AFM - just worked out the hard way after i scratched myself that the back of my legs are burnt  we did some touristy things with our friends and went to the beach and played putt putt golf and stuff, they've just left and im about to have a shower coz im all sandy then going to get a gas bottle and have a nice bbq for dinner, cant pass up the opportunity to make full use of the glorious weather. love ya'll xoxo
ETA - Pretz - we posted at the same time. no words, just hugs  and lots of them
-
what a long sucky night :(
I thought getting back into our bedtime thing would fix the last few nights of crap sleep. so V had his bath, and a massage and a bottle and went to bed at 8pm. He was awake at 145. Then 430. Then 6. Then 630. Then 7. Then 730. Then 830. Or something like that :(
I breast fed in bed (being sooooooooooooooooooo tired) about 3 times after 6am. And he was just screaming and screaming by 830 because he was still hungry. scoffed down 175mls of formula. what is going on? maybe my milk supply is up the *****?
It could be stress related issues again.
Got in touch with J yesterday and he still doesn't get the point. I thought he would realize some things while he was away but no. Still refusing to come to my place (even just to discuss options for visits -if he came and we sorted it out he'd get his way and see V alone much much sooner). Apparently now he's seeing a lawyer on wednesday. Good luck to him. If we go down that road they will give him less visitation than I would have been prepared to agree on. So that would be his own fault.
IT just frustrates me that he still doesn't see the point. If he is so keen to spend time with V it wouldn't be an issue if I am there or not. That is why I'm increasingly more disturbed about the possibility of him and his mum not giving V back if I allowed a visit alone. They are asking to get a copy of his birth certificate. WTF for? he would have him like an hour at a time... tell me a situation where he would need to use a birth certificate, and why couldn't he just use the one of mine??
He is still sadly under the impression that our son will have 2 totally separate lives. GET STUFFED is what I say to that. no way am I raising my child that way. we are ALL his family. one family (in 2 places). not 2 separate families in 2 separate lives.
ugh. should not have bothered to call him back I don't think.
Yesterday I was almost throwing up from the stress (and I had to keep going to the loo). I don't need that. And neither does V.
and yeah Pretz that is what my status was about.
-
Oohh Brydz, that scares me they want a birth cert. Is his name on it...can't remember???? If it is they can pay for their own! The hairs on the back of my neck - not literally!! - stood up when I read about the birth cert.
Needle in neck day tomorrow......starting to crap my pants now! Have already yelled at the kids a few times and I cn feel the tension in my neck and back.
Nearly 10am, best get missy up!
