Kosi, I was wondering where you had gotten to. Sounds like Ava is doing really well. It is great that she was settled for you while you were away. We really should go and see the IL's but I soo can't be bothered with all the cr@p you have to take and the unsettledness that goes with travelling.

Taurean, hope Izzy is more settled, does sound like it was a growth spurt. Will keep an eye out for those pics.

Kelly, did you do anything over the long weekend? DS had an upset tummy (read terrible diarrhea) so I stayed at home with him while DH went out fishing with his brother.

Miss A must be the easiest baby ever! She just sails though the day, fits in with whatever we are doing. I honestly thought DS was an easy bub, but by comparsion he was sooo clingy - I always had to be holding him, even DH could barely hold him for the first 3 months. She does have the odd clingy day but the sling cures that. She is starting to get herself into a routine now with naps. Depending on what time she goes to bed we usually have 1-2 wakeups during the night, then she will wake somewhere between 4-6am and I take her into my bed for a bit extra sleep. We have the night time get-ups done and me back in bed in 12 minutes now so it isn't that much of an effort.

DH interupted a burgler in our sleepout the other morning - some jerk was stealing all the meat out of our freezer (of all the random things...) they got away with about 80kg of stuff before DH walked in. They were from a party next door and must have had someone over the fence collecting it as it was passed over. The police caught them but the meat wasn't recovered - not that I would want it back after it had been goodness knows where.

OMG Art - the meat burgler.....is a member of your family a butcher or do you always have that quantity of meat in your house? So random. Miss A sounds like a dream - i have a clingy baby...my back is suffering from it!

AFU - had our pead checkup....all reasonably ok...he can't work out if she is slightly jaundiced or it is her skin tone as DH is part asian. So we are off for a blood test in 2 weeks if he still can't tell! The whites of her eyes are discoloured in the corners thats what he is going off. She has an umbilical hernia...no biggie. Heart is good. Hips are A OK. I forgot to mention about her vomitting a lot still. Has put on just under 2 kgs.
Oh i wanted to ask....with the changing colours of eyes - does it happen gradually or does it happen overnight. V has light brown with grey/blue rings around the outside. I wonder if the blue will take over. She also has a patch on her left eye, if you imagine a clock between 3 and 6oclock is really dark brown - apparently she will always have this - so random.

As for her sleeping - all over the place! Read Baby Bliss the other day and tried to follow it's settling techniques - didn't really happen for me, but i am still trying - the only way i can get her to sleep is on the boob...or maybe i'm too lazy to rock her for an hour! Her catnapping continues........

    What can you do...

Taurean- Frazer was in OO's as of 5 weeks old. He has also moved from Newborn to Infant and is now in the crawler nappies! They are a little big but have much better absorbency during his long sleeps. Frazer is going through his growth spurt as well and sometimes isn't lasting more than 2 hrs between feeds. Lucky though that it's mostly through the day and therefore is doing at least 5 hrs overnight. I have posted my facebook link before but here it is again with some professional ones added

Kosi- Nice to know someone else has a clingy baby. Frazer also has been getting quite clingy lately. Will fall asleep in your arms but the minute you put him down he's awake and crying. He tends to be really hard to put to sleep lately without a crying fit. I thought the pram would put him to sleep when I went for a walk this arvo but he screamed 3/4 of the journey and finally konked out about 10 mins from home!! I have been trying to read the tired signs earlier but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone watched the "Dunsten Baby Language" DVD? The chick that says every cry means something different. I haven't had a chance to sit down with DH and watch it just yet.

AFM- DH and I are on Day 4 of our 10 day Lemon Detox Diet. Hoping to cleanse all the crap outta our bodies before we change to healthy eating and exercise program. Have lost 2.7kgs so far and am hoping to shed a bit more before the end. Most likely will put 1/ 2 kgs back on once I start eating again but weight loss is not the main reason we are doing it so not really fussed about that. Feel fantastic considering I haven't eaten in 4 days!! It's really weird! DH brought one of the Cardio tech treadmills and I will be rejoining the gym very soon. Fingers crossed we can keep on track.

Pooley, DS was always way ahead of his size in nappies too. I think it has more to do with their body shape then the actual weight - DS was always quite wide across the waist. He was in the walker nappies from about 8 months old and is still in them now, must have just grown upwards since then.

Sanchez, mum has a few acres and gets a cow killed every year for meat. We only got it a month ago too. With the eye colour, for mine it seems to happen slowly. They were both born with steel grey eyes and DS lightened up to a light grey with a darker grey ring. Looks like A is going to be the same which is expected since DH and I both have grey eyes. That missing girl Maddie McCann had a discoloured spot in her eyes, it is one of the features they have mentioned a lot to help identify her.

    Hi Everyone

Well tired is an understatement with me at the moment.

Indigo is doing well and seems to be in a routine at night she usually goes down for her big sleep around 9pm and sleeps through till 3 or 4am so around 6-7hrs at night. She then has a feed and sleeps till 7 or 8am. So Im pretty happy with her. At her 6wk check she was 4kg, its her 8wk check next week and needles Im expecting her to have put on another 500gm so in 2mnths she would of put on 2kg since birth (2.5kg to 4.5kg)

We are getting lots of smiles and cooing aswell. Her eyes are a clear blue still. Wyatt had dark blue eyes with brown flecks in them when he was a baby and they changed to dark brown...I think if they have colour in them like that there is a strong possibility they will change.

Wyatt is unwell at the moment and has been waking numerous times every night....so he has been the reason Im so tired not Indigo. Most days I dont even get dressed and am really just a ferral housewife at the moment..we have lots of pj days!!!

    Hey girls!

I'm reading but don't have much time to post at the moment. Ethan has been going through a growth spurt too I think - constantly wanting boobies and being really clingy. Luckily he is only being clingy/cranky during the day and is still sleeping 6-7hrs at night. Still the constant feeding is driving me a bit nuts and I'm back to having sore nipples! He has been a bit better today so hopefully we are over the worst. Ethan was born with grey eyes but they have recently changed to brown.

I'll be back when I have more time! NIcola hope Wyatt gets better soon, nothing worse than a sick kidlet to look after. Fingers crossed he doesn't pass it on to the rest of the family!

Hi girls, have been lurking for a little while and thought i'd better introduce myself!
im Skye and my little girl Isabelle was born on the 12th of september, 4 weeks early. ive also got a 3 yr old that im currently trying to TT!
i've been reading ur posts to see what ur bubs are up to milestone wise and it seems Izzy is a bit behind, we were told that even though she was only just premature that she could be a bit delayed with things. Its hard because she was born such a good weight(even bigger than some full termers in my bellybuds group!) to remember that she was early. We'll get there though!
hope ur all having a good day, will chat soon
