    Heya all

wow 4 years hey.. (well under 4 years to me cause i came in just after little miss annika was born)

Not sure party wise here for Annika we will be having a small one for her but we will do massive one for her 5th birthday like i did with Teleah. Cake wise? ummm not the expert here but i just do what ever is their fav character with a sponge cake and butter icing, always goes done a treat.

been busy as here... with M moving in and all.. we got some family photo's done here for any one who is my FB friend http://www.facebook.com/NessaDQ#!/al...9974154&ref=mf . pretty happy with the results... the fact that M chose to be in them

hope all in well with everyone

I didnt realise you were on FB Ness so I added you!

Um birthday. Well yet again this year we are friendless sooooooo prob nothing. Unless I can get the guts up to invite his new preschool class. I would stipulate no presents just come for the party. I always feel so guilty that they never get parties anymore, or get invited to any. As for a cake, my guess is something Ben10 related but I wont be making it, itll be bought lol

anna - how do you pronounce Calanthe?

As for parties, we have one every year for the girls. We love birthdays, and I love to throw a party Nina has requested a heart shaped cake already. And it has to be pink & yellow. So I'm going to do a big hot pink heart shaped cake, with heart shaped yellow and light pink cupcakes around it.

Jodi- ooh that sounds cute, and not too hard either, might keep that cake idea in my head. how are you doing with everything? how is Emily? I saw some pics from your baby shower, looked like a nice day, you look great too.

Freya- Do you have a couple friends with kids? thats all we ever invite to our parties cause Ash doesn't have many friends as such more just kids of our friends that we catch up with.

Ness- your pics came out great, so hard to get everyone, esp kids all sitting nicely for a photo so they turned out great. Looks like things with you and M are going fantastically. And the crows got another win, you must be happy.

Rach- Did you get that hot bath? Lol.

Maz- Hopefully if the weather is nice you can keep them outside, make it a picnic party or something.

Ash is still doing CC one day a week but she seems so shy when I drop her off and she always goes and sits by herself and looks sad. Df oicks her up and she is pretty happy and has had a good day so thats a good sign but she always is playing on her own when he gets her. I always worry bout her having friends. I know at this age they still do alot individual play and she does talk about a couple girls but I still always stress she is going to be a loner or something.

    Hi everyone,
I am still around, but so terribly busy with the kidlets plus working means that I am mega busy. Plus Emilia has been waking in the night HEAPS lately, so I really tired. Turns out she has a temo atm. SHe just chucked all over the lounge floor. The first kid to throw up on the carpet. Lucky it was white vommit.

James is doing so well with speech therapy. He has progressed so well since his surgery that he has now caught up to where he should be for his age. So we don't need to go back till he has a 4 year old review. So that's good.

He is now in EI as they are the ones that run the spath, and we are working on him sticking to tasks a bit longer than a millosecond. Lots of positive stuff happening there too. He still hates drawing and fine motor stuff, but slowly getting there. He also had a comprehensive assessment and it was very positive too.

Shell - Ash will get there. If you are concerned that she is not interacting, have a chat to the teacher, you may find that she is interacting with other kids more than you think.

With birthdays - We had a first birthday party at our house, but we didn't have a second birthay partly as my cousin lost her baby two days prior. Last year J's birthday fell on grand final day, and we were having a grand final party, so we just did a cake during the party. This year, J has asked for a Batman party at the playcentre near our house, so I think I will let him, and just invite the minimum kids that you can. He has a few friends at kindy that he would like to come along.

Nelle - How is Riv's spath going?

Jodi - The countdown is well and truly on for you, Not long to go.

Rach - I see that oyu have been busy - going by facebook. How come you ahve to travel between your home and Agnus (Is that the right place??) so much??

Ness - I saw your fam pics. They were really nice.

Anna - It sounds like oyur kids have been sick as much as mine. I am just lucky that I have a paramedic at home. So it means that I always have someone to treat the kids if I am concerned.

Hi Ladies, sorry it has been soooo long. Have been having quite a tough/busy year. In brief, DH has been in and out of hospital. We can't finish our house due to no money due to DH being unable to work, so we are living in 1 room at Mum and Dad's. Kids have been unbelievably sick this year. Gabe seems to never be well, he still has a heart murmur, but is walking and climbing and getting into everything. Tallulah has finally mastered the crawl and is now pulling herself up and walking around furniture, she also has sensory disorders at the moment so we are having a bit of trouble with tantrums and she is in early intervention(thanks for the chat Maz). Eithan is just the big little man now, all toilet trained and going by himself now. He is still very whinney, but just beautiful with some of the things he is saying. Bella is growing up soooo fast, she has been pretty sick since easter as well.
I have caught dribs and drabs from here and from facebook. Looks like you had a great time on the gold coast Can't wait to finally, hopefully catch up more often, I miss you all.
    Anyone live close to Euchuca?

    Take care

    Thanks guys.
Maz-Well I might, and it is a BIG might, be going to a librarian conference in Oct. I can apply to get half of it funded from the education department, it just depends on how much it all costs as to whether or not I can justify it or not. Some good news is that Tallulah is sleeping better since we have tried her in a grow suit, she is so long though I am going to have to find somewhere reasonably priced for size 3 soon. This has cut the tantrums down massively, as she is finally getting some sleep.

On better news, OMG our bubs are 4 this year, crazy huh!

Oh man Helen! I hope you catch a break soon hon. Poor DH, is there an end in sight for his recovery?

Thanks for asking about speech Meg, sorry I'm only replying now! It's going pretty well! Obviously he's not as verbose as all others his own age, but the big breakthrough is that he's improving with his conversation skills. I constantly bombard him with questions. Asking him what he's doing and how it makes him feel and why does he like it. We're still not great on why, but that really is an abstract thing, so I'm sure we'll get there. We finished our 6 months of speech with one service, so we're on a waiting list for another service at the moment, but prob won't get in until the end of the year, as a bunch of kids leave the service to go to school. They provide a playgroup for those on the wait list, so that's fun. We see the paed again in Nov to see if he's progressing well enough.

It's so great to hear that J is up to where he should be!

It looks like you guys who went to the GC had a crazy time! I'm glad you had fun!

I can't remember what else I should be asking. Can you believe it's June already!? I'm freezing, lol! So now is not the time for Jodi to pull out her 'I don't even own a jumper' line! Brrrr!

Nelle-We are being told it can take years. Currently he goes to therapy every Friday. Glad Riv's speech is picking up.
Jodi-It is FREEZING in Tas.....so jealous.
Rach-I used to feel the same, but now that I have the kids in daycare, I feel a bit more like me again. I felt like I was everything to and for everyone and nothing for me. It will be a great experience for him with new people and toys and games etc. The bonus is a break for you! So dont feel bad, it is also good development for him.
Beatrix-What a horrible so called friend. Better clear of her! Glad to hear that things are going so well.
OMG it took me a little while to decode your usernames, eeek dont change them again for at least a little while.
Youngest 3 are asleep, Bella is soaking in the bath, so I might see if I can have a rest.
Maz-Do you make weighted blankets at all? Tinker just fell straight asleep with a pillow for a blanket.

    Take care ladies
