Oh Aldi Schmaldi already!! BTW I already have one of those train sets and I got it at the OP SHOP (brand new in the packet) - so NnnnnYER!
MM, have been thinking of you constantly and sending my best rosiest healing vibes so that it all goes as well as it possibly can today.
Kate I am so impressed with that toilet action. I reckon Miss E would go alright if we tried it but I'm not sure I have the follow-through in me right now so we will wait until summer and go then.
Oz, you could always delete your username and start again, totally anonymous. Only we will know who you are, we just need a code word like PENGUIN or BANANA SUNDAE.
MM - Really can't think of any words at the moment to make you feel better, just know that we are all thinking of you at this time. Wish I was closer, Perth is so far away!!
Andie - glad that things are working out for you
PAP - how far along were you when N was born? So close!!
cally - i was 39 wks exactly with N
had a bit of a disappointing mw visit... she reckons bubs head is not engaged.. so no internal needed... then she tells me that not being engaged doesnt mean anything...
i guess the main message out of it is that i will likely still be preg in a week from now... which is ok but i just wouldhave felt better if she waysas a bit more thorough as i think the ob would have been...dont get me wrong i dont want an internal for the sake of it but i want to know if anything is going on. anyway i managed to get an appt with ob for next tue (otherwise i wasnt seeing him til 39 wk 5 days) so i guess i will know more then.... and for now i can relax and i am ok with that. she also got me worried as i hadnt felt as many mvts this morning and yest... but now i have had a few since... anyway i am a bit teary and down about it for some reason, silly really.
H: thinking of you today, and hoping that the op goes as smoothly as can be expected. I am really sorry xx
Oz: oh no! that is a bummer that you are being 'read'. kinda feels icky when i have had it happen. even if it wasnt out of deliberate snooping reasons IYKWIM.
MD: mmmm now i want banana sundae. darn it woman...where can i get banana sundae from??!! arrghh!!!!
AFM: pretty exciting development is that at 3pm today we are having a builder (free of charge thankyou very much!) go through our 'dream' home today for us!!!! we contacted an architect firm and they got us in touch with this bloke. i am that the house is salvageable (for our budget) and that we can get it!
as for leila...well, she has become OBSESSED with milk. everytime we enter her room for anything she thinks it's milk time...we had a tanty at 6.30am this morning for MILK. i mean, seriously she only has one bottle at night!! so now i have to give her a cup of milk in the morning or she wont talk to me. i guess it is her 'morning coffee' LOL!
i guess this is only the beginning of the 2 year old obsessions phase...
pap-big hugs, your baby will be here soon, i promise! and she'll be gorgeous just like her brother
if you're heading to aldi, make sure you get the dyson, it has been such a hit here
clare-lewis is obsessed with milk too. he has had fights with other kids over it
is the house an auction? how bad condition is it in? if you get it and you need a sparky-let me know. dh is an absolute gun sparky, i'm not just saying that cos he's my dh either! lol, his business is run completely on word of mouth alone-he's never had to advertise.
best of luck with the builder
clare - n is the same. just this week he wants a cup of milk in the morning... weird!
hope the house goes well....
eta - thanks rainy honey - i dont know why i am upset, it isnt like i am even feeling impatient.. i guess i kinda was looking fwd to the app and hearing ANYTHING of progress.. and it was a bit of a downer appt. i dont know, prob hormonal and easy to get upset LOL! i will check out the dyson, thing is N i dont think has ever seen me vacuum.... so i dont know what he would make of it (dont get me wrong i do vac sometimes, but not when he is here - gosh i am slack)

Rainy I think you and your sparky DH need to come on a lil road trip to Adelaide...*sigh* got a list a mile long of little things that need to be done on my house but added together will cost a fortune!
PP I think you are upset cos your bod is getting ready to give birth and we all know that there's a rollercoaster of emotion that precedes the big event!
Clare so you really weren't joking when you said about the house having no roof etc...will keep fingies crossed, good things sometimes come in surprising packages and you might've just found a huge instant-housing-success loophole courtesy of the universe. BTW Missy E is similarly obsessed with milk and I have told DH to cut the serving sizes a bit to compensate for the frequency. Sounds silly but she's just realised she can randomly ask for the thing she wants to have (instead of waiting for us to offer it, kwim). It took her about 3 seconds to learn about ribena coming out of the bottle and where the bottle lives in the kitchen after she had her very first taste of "jooooce" LOL.
I know! I dread the day when he can open the fridge by himself. He knows where all the goodies are too LOL. But they are kept out of sight, so therefore out of mind . His obsession is his bippee (dummy) - he currently has 10 on the go because he carts them all over the place and puts them down and then you can't find it again; his pillow - this is like his security blanket and he can't go to sleep unless he is able to put his arm inside the case, he even had a tanty the other day cause I had the audacity to wash the pillow case and he usually stores the bippees that are not in use in the pillow case LOL. And he HAS to have a stubby holder on his bottle too.
ROFL at A's stubby holder. is his a "big day out' one like my dh's favourite?lol
md- a roadtrip to adelaide sounds lovely...hhmmm....jimmy on roadtrip...not so lovely!
i have a list of electrical jobs that need to be done around here too LOL, it took him 3 weeks to replace a downlight around here once. all my friends who are married to tradies tell me the same thing- i have a friend with a painter dh and a half painted house (the undercoat looks lovely) lol
pap-i just remembered that i got really upset after an appointment at 38weeks where my cervix was high and closed- remember? i cracked it big time!
MM - Sending heaps of get well soon vibes as well as hugs from Sarah and I.
PAP - I hope it all goes to plan for you and that bubs makes a easy arrival! Good to hear that you go that appt with your ob too. You weren't able to at one point, were you?
MD - I was so not going to even try TT until after her birthday, but it just happened. I seriously didn't expect a response from her when I asked if she wants to do a poo or not. She usually ignores me when I try to ask her things . I'm not going to do anymore than just asking her throughout the day then popping her on the loo. I am so not ready to clean up messes through the house whilst shes got no nappy on. So nappy stays on and just the occasional pitstop.
Clare - fingers crossed on the house front! Sarah loves her milk and gets one full bottle (270ml) in the mornings and 1 halfer at nap time and another halfer at bed time. And the little toad loves her cheese and yoghurt so I reckon shes all good on the calcium front. I reckon L just is needing extra to continue growing bones etc so needs a top up for this growth spurt. Love the morning coffee tho...maybe buy her a babychino mug to have it in.
Trill - I love how A sleeps with his hand inside the pillowcase. My DH (yes ladies DH) has a favourite pillow that he even packed for Fiji. Its more the pillow case (black satin ) but the pillow has been shaped just right by him as well) I am forever threatening to throw it out on him, funny thing is that S doesn't have a security thing but DH does. How am I going to explain that when shes older. "Sorry honey, Daddys a big sook so he needs that pillow for beddy-byes time."
yeah i know it is all normal ladies.. it is more that i dont know anything... ie IS my cervix high and closed?? no, she didnt even check...it's all ok, i need to just vent and get over it. i am also a bit annoyed as i pay for an OB for continuos care etc and through one thing or another i have seen him only a few times and briefly and have seen 3 middies in his practice... so no continuity at all. the last middie wanted to induce me at 38 wks, and this one wont even examine me.... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
bc the ob had thought i would have a quick labour he suggested an exam at about 38 wks... which is written on my card. was meant to see him today but his mother passed away so i got switched to the mw which is understandable...but then she acted as though i was crazy to ask for the exam and when i told her what chgs i have noticed she tells me 'yes, all normal'. umm whats that??? then she says baby isnt engaged so no need to exam.... oh but it may not engage til labour.. then tells me we may see you next week, or before... it was just v wishy washy...
Evening ladies, thanks for you support. Will try & read the last few days posts in time but can't guarantee anything of late!!, checked out a new daycare centre today & the boys didn't want to leave, plus its handy to get to & handy to the train station. They are gonna go on friday for the day & see how they go but the ladies are lovely. I start work Fri 3rd July & work Monday & Fridays so that will be interesting.
Hope everyone is well & bubs too. Thoughts for Hayley xox
PP: oh no babe! i missed your post! i *think* i know which middie you mean. there is one really cool one (M) and the other not so cool (A). i really felt that she was sooo over the whole pregnant woman thing when i got her when Robson was sick...
Rainy: book him in! LOL! the whole house does need a re-wire...
MD: no alas, no jokes about the roof, walls, or floor. but hey, who doesnt want a bit of nature to gaze and interact with while having a bath LOL!
Andie: that is FANTASTIC news about the daycare! great guns that the boys loved it!!
Katie: yeah we think it is a growth spurt on the milk front. it is way OTT. she has cereal and yoghurt for brekkie too!
AFM: well we saw the house again. and am totally in love. other people were there i was territorial (totally in my mind, i was sweetness and light on the outside lol!). BUT, for the minimum, bare bones (ie no rewiring and putting floors over the top of the old ones and plastering and a rebuild of kitchen and bathroom....we are looking at 70-100k (100k being the 'when it all goes wrong...and usually does amount). sooo much money. and it would prolly not mean that we even have a heating system in place. bbbrrrrrrrr. BUT it is a short walk to brunettis and i can walk to work and there is a park at the front gate and city views from the rooms....hmmmmm. also surrounded by 1 million $ properties....arrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh! such a pretty house (to the hopeless romantic in me!).
funny thing though... when Leila saw the 'bathroom' she said 'YUK!' LOL!!! (it is waaay gross and i think has a frog living in it...going by the open air pond scum all over it....oh gawd what are we doing??!!
PAP vent away, its frustrating when you get so close to the end and just want to know.
Sherie L helps himself to the fridge all day, had to hide a few things as I caught him with a mouth full of choc biscuits. He brings us the milk when he wants some.
Clare sounds like Miss L knows what she likes lol.
Rainy I spend weeks, months even years for electrical things to be done in our house too lol.
Andie good to see you back hun.
Kate LMAO at your Dh and his security pillow, does he know we all know?? LOL
AFM cant stop thinking about H and wondering how she is going. So bored tonight, have baked some muffins and cleaned the kitchen and I am still bored.
morning everyone
i am so sorry i was having such a pity party yest - i had a real whinge didnt I!!! anyway i am hoping today is better - have acupuncture appt this morning and then i will be going to have lunch with a friend... and then relax this afternoon... tonight mum is babysitting (she is here for work again) and we are heading to a movie (the coco chanel one). so a good day planned which will whip me out of this bad mood. i did a heap of cooking yest to freeze (a chicken curry and spag bol sauce) and cleaned out the freezer so that cheered me up a bit too.
I have also been thinking of Hayley all the time (thats the main reason i feel so selfish with my venting). I hope she is doing ok both physicaly and emotionally.
Rainy - LOL at the top on backwards... my dh often dresses N and is ok with it, but i pick the outfits... that said i use singlet suits so they dont ride up and quite often they are left undone after a nappy chg... so hang out his pants as dh cant be bothered to do them up... do you find you care less about the 'cute factor' with jimmy? ie with N i had all gorgeous outfits and dressed him nicely when we went out... and everyone keeps telling me i wont do that this time (which i dont agree with).
MD my dear how are you? i hope the party goes well this weekend.
we are off to a justine clark concert tomorrow - N will love it!
