Aww thanks girls, I'm so glad to be home. The hospital was depressing me even more.

Aww thanks girls, I'm so glad to be home. The hospital was depressing me even more.
H- I'm glad you're home and i'm glad you're ok. I'm so sorry to hear you lost your fallopian tube. I have had 2 m/c in the past and i totally understand your sentiment, i too would rather a m/c than losing my tube. Do you have someone looking after you while hubby is at his course? You need someone there making cups of tea and rubbing your feet. ;) I find my hormones go nuts after losing a pregnancy, i get very emotional, so go easy on yourself. xxx
Hi Ladies
Been mia I know. Been reading and trying to stay away from the TTC thread, lol. Its doin' my head in. T is becoming more demanding too, which is driving me nuts!
Md- glad 2 hear u r doing ok. Glad 2 hear u r booking into some exciting things.
MM-i was hoping it wasn't going 2 b ur tube, take it easy love. Thinking of u xxoo
Pap-wishing u the best with *whenever* it may happen. All my best wishes 2 u.
Leemar-T is in size 2 for everything + have started buying 3's too.
Kate-that is hilarious abut DH's black pillow! ROFL!
Andie-i was just about to post a 'where is andie' post too. Good 2 c u back on.
Hi to everyone else. Xxoo
Oh Hayley hunny  I totally understand that feeling, I would probably be the same because having a loss is setback enough kwim? the Methotrexate (which is what I am taking for the psoriasis) is pretty heavy duty stuff and there could have been a chance that they would have needed to take the tube anyway as for some women it can still rupture the tube if the MTX doesn't work quick enough to stop the growing and it can take a while for the levels of hormone to get back to zero. It wont have affected you in the long term for having babies - the waiting period for TTC after MTX is 3-4 months but yes, falling pg while the MTX is still in your system can cause birth defects. You made the right choice for you hun  Take it easy and make sure that you accept all offers of help - even from the MIL ;) OK? You need time to rest and just to let everything sink in. I bet Miss M will be glad to see you too
I am watching the Michael Jacksn tribute. So young!
hi everyone
H - still thinking of you honey. the others have much better advice than me, but I just want you to know i am thinking of you and hoping you are resting and recovering and doing ok.
leanne - N is about a size 2 in most things, i find some brands smaller or bigger. would prob buy 3 in bonds soon... and country road as well. he is slimming down a lot and getting longer.. prob what my natural body shape if i didnt eat so much LOL!
re eating - we still use the high chair at home, but i am pretty bad and dont eat with him most of the time. dh and i are terrible couch eaters. something we must change as i grew up with family meal times and love it. atcafes etc he eats at a normal chair, i think we could pregiress him and i must say he is getting a bit antsy re the high chair.. he uses a spoon well and enjoys eating off a fork if i do it and would prob do it himself but so far i havent really given him a knife and fork. seems i better get onto that. he drinks from a nornal cup (with a lot of mess) and has 1 bottle of milk a day (before bed, he drinks about half of it).
ia m feeling ok have been waking up with terrible headaches, called the mw this morning and she isnt worried she said prob bc i heat the house overnight i am dehydrated (no other pre ec signs or anything) so to up the fluids, take panadol and call back if it stays and they will bring me in for a check. my back is still pretty bad, esp at night and low level period like pain but nothing exciting. think i will be another week or so, but i hope the ob will have more info for me on tues.
clare - is the house auction this weekend?
md hope the party goes well today. xxx
HI all, just wanted to pop in with big hugs for MM - I was really hoping and praying you could keep your tube, so sorry to hear that you have lost it. Take your time to grieve, rest and recover - it is a double loss. xxx
Thanks girls. DH is back at work today, he goes nuts at home. Such a work a holic, guess I shouldnt complain but I could do with having him here today. He has been really good though. He is just as upset as me but he isnt too good at expressing himself.
Supa, I am watching MJ on rage too. I thought I was doing ok today till I started watching this & its just made me so sad. I know what you mean about the ttc thread, I am not going near it this time. Too hard.
Trill - Thanks for the meth info. I didnt have a heap of info about it at the hosp, but DH was reading about it online at home & from what the doctors told me, I didnt want to go down that track. At first I was all for it anything to avoid surgery & losing the tube, but they did warn me that I may need surgery anyway. Couldnt bare the thought of going through it again, so I went for the surgery. What are you taking it for? It sounds pretty heavy duty.
Falguni - Thanks, didnt realise you have had 2 miscarriages, so sorry hope I didnt offend you with that comment. Its so painful isnt it! I didnt expect this to happen to me!!
Why am I so sore all over, even in like my face muscles. Its like I've run a huge marathon lol.
Thanks girls for keeping me in your thoughts!!!!
H, it would be the residual effects from the anaesthetic making you feel like that hun so you will feel a bit sore and dodgy for the next day or so, but should start to improve from now on  . I guess Tim is where he needs to be for now, but he will be there for you if you need him.
The MTX is pretty harsh - it is used as chemotherapy for some breast cancers and its one of those multipurpose wonderdrugs so it's used for other things too. It basically suppresses your immune system and stops cell growth - so for me it is to slow the over-growth of skin cells. Googling it doesn't really fill your head with pleasant images - the side effects can be really nasty, but I have been fine.
hayley you've got me in tears again....
could be cos i'm watching 'marley and me' at the moment too, not helping things much!
dh banned me from watching it but i'm sneaking it in while he's in the garage ;)
girls it's jimmy's 4 month birthday today, he's the cutest little monkey in the world! i took him to the bakery before and his eyes were nearly popping out of his head at all the coloured cupcakes- little fatty!
hi girls,
H: man, i am so so sorry. it must have been awful having to wait and constantly fast all that time knowing that it was all over. i am so sorry. xx like Ange said, the hormones after a loss can be really full on so be gentle on yourself and go with it! xx
rainy: oh man, marley and me i remember clearly reading in rome airport BAWLING and SOBBING in front of the entire terminal (like big phat ugly crying).. that's when we got home and brought stella home from the rescue home!
AFM: we are okay. i am a little miffed at DH today as we pretty much had a house in our hands today (full reno, 20K kitchen and bathroom with a fancy shmancy extension) and the annoying man GOT COLD FEET. so some horrid individual :p got the house for 40k less than the asking price. afterwards DH was so shocked and upset, but i had very little interest in comforting him...man i must be an awful wife sometimes LOL!
Oh no Clare! Why did he get cold feet? Buying a house is a big step though, such a huge expense!
I need to read this Marley & Me, it sounds good, but sounds sad so maybe not atm lol.
M is back, she is so upset & grumpy though because I cant pick her up yet. Its so hard, she just cried & cried before but she's asleep now thank goodness. She hates that I wont pick her up and no doubt she's upset & confused as to where I've been. The in laws were really good today, & I told them we appreciated them having M, they loved it of course. MIL was fine, I think she was a bit dissapointed too, she even bought me flowers.
H, maybe when she wakes up you can have her sit and have cuddles with you on the couch or in bed, you wont have to pick her up that way and she still gets to cuddle her mum.
Clare, OMg I would have gone mental at him! If he hadn't have got cold feet you wouldn't have to spend every weekend checking out houses.
AFM, well it's Paige's 5th birthday today and the poor little thing has picked up my cold :( She was fine till after lunch and she crashed out on the lounge and has been asleep ever since, just waking briefly for a drink. She even said that she will still blow out her candles but doesn't want to eat any cake, poor little mite.
MM - so sorry to hear that you had to lose your tube. No wonder you had a breakdown after fasting for 3 days!! Big hugs out to you.
Trill - poor little Paige gettting sick on her birthday. Gorgeous cake though!
Clare - sounds like you need someone else to do the bidding for you at the next auction if DH gets cold feet!!
Gosh, K sounds like a tiny little thing still in size 1's!! Would love to see them all these lot together!!
We haven't tried K with a knive, but she's pretty good with a fork. She is very good with proper cups but they are only used under supervision. She has her smoothies in a cup and if we are out she will drink out of our cups. I'm just lazy I suppose, so much easier to wash a sippy cup than the floor or the lounge!!
Didn't end up going to the zoo today, the forecast looked better for tomorrow so we will go then. Did a heap of cooking today (pumpkin soup, two types of dhal and some chicken casserole) so the freezer is chockers. Also went for a great long walk today while DH was driving around with K trying to get her to sleep.
The last 5 weekends K has only gone down for one easy day nap (and she came home from day care the next day with a temp so was probably coming down with something already). Twice I have got her to sleep by standing in the doorway and saying 'lie down Katie' every time she moves her head. Every other time we have had to take her for a drive or a pram walk and she crashes about 5 minutes into it - so it's not like she doesn't need the sleep. She is sleeping fine at childcare (did 2.5 hours yesterday) and has not refused to sleep there at all, just at home. So frustrating that DH and I don't get that time to ourselves in the middle of the day, or we get stuck in the car looking after her and can't get anything done around the house. I'm dreading the school holidays, I should change my leave and have the second week off and hope like crazy that DH sorts her out in the first week at home!!
Not in the slightest. ;) I was just trying to say i would feel exactly the same as you. Anaesthetic really knocks me around. It takes a good week for me to recover. It's so draining. Hope you're feeling better soon.
Happy birthday Paige! :cheer: Rocking cake Trill! Good work.
Claire- Cold feet????? WHAT?? But wasn't it 'the one???' That sux! Men eh?
Two sleep until Fiji, loads of packing to do.
Have fun in Fiji Falguni, you deserve it!!
Trill - Hope the cold buggers off quickly. I had some lounge cuddles with M as suggested, she tried to climb onto my tummy a few times & I copped it a few times, ouchhhh! Poor thing, tried to show her my bandaids on my tummy but she was trying to poke them too hard.
Cally - Such hard work trying to get them to sleep during the day. What is K like trying to get her to sleep at night? At least she lays down when you tell her to thats a plus.
Been on BB way too much today, been having withdrawals!
Hate to say it Cally, but Katie is taking u for a ride! Literally, in the car lol. Nah, seriously if it were me, no more mr nice guy, just dump her in the cot, tell her to go to sleep, take all toys away and eventually (prolly after wearing herself out from crying) she will go to sleep. This is what I do with T, but she doesn't cry coz she is used to it. However can't remember if u said she is in a bed, if she is I wouldn't know what to do now.... She is so used to u being there until she is asleep... Yikes. U poor thing having to drive around all the time! U r much more patient and more nicer mama than me... :)
Cally, I hate to say it but maybe she is just getting to the stage that she doesn't need a day nap every day? I know that W won't have one at all during the weekend (because DH is around and there is always something fun to do), he only has 1-2 during the week now but he doesn't really need them and then he is up until 8.30pm. I think I will have to stop them altogether and get him to bed earlier, I just really like having that little break in the middle of the day.
MD, hope the party went well. I thought it had already been on Friday lol, DH had thursday arvo and friday off and now I have no idea which day is which.
Ozstar, no sign of GD yet (YAY!!) but don't want to jinx myself. Last time the levels went up at 31 weeks and I was on insulin at 32 weeks, so should know shortly. Haven't sorted out any care for W during the birth, just waiting to see if GD comes so I know where I am having the baby. Either way it is looking like DH will miss it. I tried to leave W with mum the other day because I was sick and needed to lay down, he was crying looking for me after 15 minutes so I wouldn't be comfortable leaving him knowing he would be upset all day.
MM, poor M, must be confusing for her. Hope you are feeling o.k.
Clare, **** I would be sooo pi$$ed off if DH pulled out at the last moment! Grrrr! Does he realise that to buy a house you actually have to BUY one!
PAP, I am really excited for you! How long is it that we have to wait for the name?
Finally got my curtains made and hung, they look great and it is so much better not having gigantic uncovered walls of glass at the front of the house that turned us into a fishbowl. DH and W went out for the day so I could get it done and they had a great time. We bought W a 'tramp-o-ween' which he likes to go on but can't actually jump yet lol
MM - I know what you mean about having to restrict the cuddles, I found that really hard after my surgery. Really dreading not having cuddles when I go back later this year. Poor little chickens don't really understand that it hurts you. Another lady suggested putting a bandaid on that spot on a dolly and talking about it and that way M might understand a bit better. I think you should fully expect to be riding the emotional roller coaster for at least a week - all the hormones etc alone (without the shock and loss) will do that to you. xxx
Trill - aww poor P having a cold on her birthday. The cake looks luverly. I want you to make my birthday cake LOL!
Ange, so did you find the world's most perfect pair of bathers? LOL Have fun packing, I reckon you must be enjoying the anticipation nearly as much as you will enjoy Fiji! LOL
Cally - far out with the day sleep dramas! We've had some resistance but I just leave her in there - chuck a few toys in...soon if she's mucking about we'll put a story in the tape player and she can have quiet time and not stress over the sleep.
Arte - congrats on your curtains, I bet it helps keep the room much warmer too. :) Yay for the twampoween - we have one and Missy E is addicted.
Well party was a rip snorting successs - even tho we had very few guests. I nearly had a breakdown yester am when 2 guests rang to say they were not coming for illness - but now I just think - THANK GOD I put that note in cos they might've come otherwise and I hate to think how my week could've gone downhill from here! LOL Anyway the pretend-henna tattooing was the highlight, and they all had heaps of fun changing their costumes a million times, dancing and drumming etc. We moved all the furniture out of the lounge and just had cushions and a low-table, mood lighting, DH rigged up some voile curtains to give it a tented feel, we had incense and candles etc. The mummies had lots of fun too (there was strawberry champagne involved) and now we've got loads of yummy leftovers so no one will have to cook for the next 2 days. In fact the mummies had so much fun we said we might have to do it again but this time just for the mummies! LOL
MD woo hoo on the party success, sounds like an awesome day!!
Arte we will have to keep our fingers crossed for you that the GD stays away. Its a shame DH might have to miss the birth but if its your only option there isn't much you can do is there.
MM its hard when they dont understand isn't it, L would do the same thing re the poking lol.
Cally bugger about the day sleeps, I have no advice though sorry. Some days L just lays there and doesn't actually sleep, but I figure a rest is better then nothing.
Ange have a great time, I am so jealous. I was thinking about flying down and jumping in your suitcase but there is just no way I will fit.
Sherie the cake looks awesome, poor P having a cold though.
Clare I would have been so mad at DH, I actually still wouldn't be talking to him lol.
PAP make sure you keep up the water!!! I am getting so excited for you and cant wait to see your BA.
L is getting a trampoline for Xmas this year, he loves them and is always jumping around the house (he either jumps or runs to where he needs to go). We have to do some work in the yard though before we get one. DH and I are heading off on a date to the movies this afternoon, even going gold class ohhhh lala.
A date??? WOW, we shoudl try that sometime! Have a lovely evening. I'm pretty good at packing, if you're at Tully by 7am, i'll fit you on my suitcase. ;)
MD- I want to come to that party! Sounds like so much fun. Did your sister do the henna? Did you check out her talent and designs incase the time comes when she'll do your head??? I think you are perhaps a little like me and put on a brave face. I really hope you are doing ok and feeling alright. I got some bathers, compared to bathers of ye old time, they have about 10 times the amoutn of lycra! :p I am a little embarresed to be showing my lilly white flabby cellulite ridden body, but no-one knows me, so who cares right????? :p
Cally- sorry, i don't have any tips on the sleeping. I think this is the age where they begin to assert their opinion and realise that they do have a choice in the world. Hence the beginning of the terrible twos. Like you say she is obviously tired, and still need it. We give Lu a teddy and a few books, she reads and then goes to sleep. Once when she was upset i put the ipod in her room with some music, she loved it and happily went to bed.
A side note- my DH was looking over my shoulder last night on FB, and he thinks you surname is funny. i pronouce it in my head with like it rhymes with binned***, he obviously thought it rhymed with rind (lemon). Tickled his fancy. Possible due to the lack od bedroom action around here.
Arte- so the day trip was a success? It must be hard for you not having someone W is comfortable with. Do you have someone else to support you during your labour if DH wont be there?
More packing................bbl
LOL Falguni, do you mean Kate's surname instead???
Oz - Enjoy your date! What movie did you see?
MD - Just as well you put the note in. Also thanks for the tip with using the dolly & bandaid, will give it a go this arvo.
Arte - Ohhh no how does your DH feel about missing the birth? Can someone else go as your support person, like your mum maybe?
Really sore today but I am moving alot more, so definately on the mend.
 ummmmm yup!
hi everyone
i'm sorry for not being around much lately. I haven't read any posts - only to catch up on MM.
Hayley i'm so sorry for you, dh and M. I just wanted to give you a big hug.
One of my close friends had an ectopic pregnancy which also resulted in them taking her tube. She now has 3 beautiful children, which were all conceived naturally.
I'll try to jump on again later, and catch up .
I'm sure i saw the word Fiji in there somewhere??
Yeah Jazah, we're all jealous cos Falguni is headed off to FeeeeJeeeee!! : Hope you and your DH and your lovely girls are all well & looking fwd to the school hollies?!
ETA - Clare, meant to say earlier (but got called away but a fingers-squashed in a door incident) MAJOR BUMMER about DH's change of heart. Was there a particular reason or did he just baulk? Anyway you are fully justified in cracking the ****s Big Time my dear.
Awww thanks Jazmum!! After hearing all these good news stories I am feeling much more positive about things! :)
hi girls
we had my family come over yesterday for a bbq lunch...well one of my brothers rang to say that they couldn't come till 4.30pm cos his gf had to play some sport game or something, then they turned up at 5.15pm....jimmy was soooo unsettled cos we'd had people in the house since 1pm iykwim? and he only sleptfor about half an hour in the arvo...then at about 7pm he completely lost the plot and i couldn't get him to sleep till about 10.30pm. it was so horrible..it's just so hard for babies to have too much going on around them. now i'm feeling huge anxiety cos we've got dh's brother and his gf coming down to stay with us from wed-sun. they were just supposed to come for the weekend but then for some reason, his gf made it for 5 days..i'm getting all anxious that having people here constantly is going to really unsettle the boys-particularly jimmy, he's such a sensitive little thing and gets upset if he hasn't had his bath before 6.30 etc. iykwim? sorry for huge vent girls, i've just had a bit of a bad night and was finally feeling like we were getting the hang of this 2 kids things-jimmy was going soooo well and seeming so happy and content until last night :(
thanks for all the comments on fb, jimmy is looking so much like me these days it's a crack-up. i think he should've been a girl!
i hope ange is well on the way to fiji by now...aahhh how awesome!
clare- what has been the fall-out form the house thing?
Rainy, don't worry about it. Just do what you have to do, and tell BIL & BILGF the second they arrive that you're not being rude but bubba has to come first otherwise it will all turn to mush. Stick to your own routine and make the grownups be flexible around you. I am speaking from experience here, having survived the ILs staying when Missy E was very little. You can do it!! :) xxx
G, just stick to your normal routine with the boys and tell them that it's really important you do it etc - if they are going to be there for that long it shouldn't be a problem like a once-off BBQ is kwim? And he really is a gorgeous little boy. I think he's definitely going to be the sensitive and gentle one, and L is going to be the rough and tumble one LOL.
I wish I could go to a tropical island for a while LOL. I bet they will have a fab time.
MD, great to hear the party was a success! And what a great idea to do it for the mummies too - would be a great pick me up for you too.
H, glad to hear that you are a lot more mobile now
Arte, I would love to replace all the blinds here too - they are ugly old venetians that were here when we brought the place. So far we've only replced the loungeroom one.
Alister loves the trampoline too - he is such a daredevil on it ROFL. FIL was over the other day and he said "for gods sake get him off there before I have a heart attack" it was a bit too much for him to watch LOL. He much prefers it when he is on there by himself - the other kids get too carried away.
Well Alister is on the mend I think. He even had a bottle of milk last night and he hadn't had one for a few days. His going to bed is still terrible though and he will only go to sleep if he is in the loungeroom either on his couch or the lounge. DH reckons it's cause of the telly, but you can turn it off and he still wont stay in his bed. He wont even get into bed with me to go to sleep. We just have to ride it out I suppose but DH is getting really fed up with it and wants to use CC, but he just doesn't get that Alister will cry for hours if you try to do it - DH has tried before and it never works but he still thinks it's the best way  yeah, because it's working out brilliantly  Plus it is always harder to get him to sleep at night if he sleeps through the day, which he has been doing loads of because of being sick etc. At least once he does go to sleep he sleeps through.
My cold is also on it's way out and Paige is much brighter today too.
Have a blast in Fiji Falguni, so jealous! Yes, I know we were only there in April but that was like 2 MONTHS ago. The weather would be amazing also. And yep, its me with the wacked out surname. You're both sort of wrong tho, although you are closer lol. Its more of a silent 'D' in the middle so grin-rod. My brother calls me Grinspoon, my mates call me G-Rod and I get every other kind of spelling and saying you can think of. ;). If I have to give my name for a food order then its Kate. Depending on my mood I have been known to let people stumble over my name for ages  Esp when its coming from people that are trying to suck up, like telemarketers and people trying to get my business. Funny thing was that I always dreamed of having a 'normal' surname when I got married and then I went and chose Rory :wall:. ROFL. My maiden name was M@ddox, so got Mad Ox, Mad d!cks...I did get Mad Dog but that was cool because of the surf brand around at the time.
MD - that party rocks!! Might have to think about something like that for my 30th in a few years....
MM - I hope that M plays gently with mummy for a bit until you are feeling more up to the challenge of chasing her around.
Oz - S is getting a tramp this year as well, she loves jumping around. Big W has one with an enclosure for $200 in the toy catalogue so am gonna get that one. MIL is shouting it for her birthday this year so woohoo!
Rainy - I agree with MD. Tell them straight up that the kids come first. They should understand and if not them bugger them, they will once they have kids. Would your DH be able to talk to them instead of making you always have to do the talking etc (reference to MIL etc there)
Arte - yeah on the curtains...definately make it warmer. Although I'm sure the neighbours are upset about losing their own private big brother type show lol
Jaz - how are those gorgeous girls of yours? Hope you have fun at the park today with them.
thanks girls for your support
yeah i think i'm just going to have to be brutally honest with them about the kids needing to come first. it's just hard when we're used to eating dinner at 6pm to fit in the kids' needs etc....and then having other people here (who don't have kids) 24/7....ggrrr, i'm not looking forward to it tbh
trill- a sounds like such a daredevil all the time. i wonder if he's gonna end up being one of those extreme sports guys who's always bungy jumping and dirt biking and stuff! lol
do you just carry him to bed once he's asleep? what time does he normally fall asleep?
md-i'm so glad the party went well, you deserve some champers!! pink champers none the less.
i've just ordered some new books for lewis- i got some robert munsch and pamela allen. are there any other authors you could recommend?
g-rod- yes i will definitely be telling dh he has to do the talking to bil. i pre-warned him last night when i was having a break-down!
did you show your dh the pics of lewis on his dirtbike? he'll be buying one for sarah in no time LOL
hi girls!
Rainy:  that sounds like a tough night! i dont reckon you should beat yourself up too much though. try as much to keep him in his routine while guests are there, but also be gentle on yourself and know that babies go crazy in the coconut from time to time. tonight will be better...
MD: WOOT WOO! glad the partee went well! so the kids had a blast then?!! what about miss E? what did she make of all the sparkles?
Ange: wahhh! i wanna go to Fiji!!! have a blast and take heaps of pics. i NEED to live vicariously through you LOL!
Kate: seriously? a tramp for 200?!! so there. of course, no doubt it is too big for our 'yard', boo hoo.
Sherie: yup, i agree with you. you guys just need to ride it out with A and wait til he feels better. nothing can make a baby that doesnt feel 100% go to bed easily (at least that's what i reckon with Leila!). it makes for a shocking week, but ahh, so blissful when they are recovered and sleep!
and poor paige not feeling well! what a sweetie that she still wanted to blow the candles out! what an angel!
Oz: oooh gold class!! so jealous! although i have decided that the next installment of the twilight movies will also be done in style...
Cally: oh man, that sounds tough! honest, i would ditch the car and pram and just go hard on trying to settle her in her bed at home. i'm guessing it works at kindy simply because the girls would have no other option. maybe ask them how they do it...i know that we 'stole' strategies. could make for a tough week though, so yeah, swap with DH LOL!
AFM: well, i am i *think* even more peeved with DH. I was the one doing the bidding. i know our limit and i thought we were very clear on what we were willing to pay. but obviously not. not sure what the cold feet were and i dont think he does either. but either way i am ANNOYED. i havent been able to sleep since friday night
but, he has realised that i am a stress bunny so today we are taking a half-day and spending quality time together. gotta love it!
Yeah, I do carry him to bed once he's asleep. If he doesn't have a day sleep it's 8.30 at the latest, which is when he was going to sleep wen he would stay in the cot anyway. but the last few nights it's been 9.30 -10, but that's with him having a lot of day sleep too cause of his cold. If DH just left him to it, he goes to sleep really quickly. I dim the lights and turn the telly right down and he's fine.
G, still do their dinner at 6 pm, put out a few nibblys for the big people and still all sit together, while the boys are eating as they would probably realise somethings not quite right if you and J don't sit with them kwim? Then you do dinner for yourselves later on. I think they would be fine with it and because they are supposed to be the adults, the should be able to cope with change LOL
Clare, I hope you can both be on the same page by the time you next go to an auction! I hope the together time can resolve the feelings for you . The sleep thing has been going on for a few weeks - ever since he learnt how to climb in and out of the cot. Trouble is he really isn't ready for a single bed yet either.
hi girls
just a quick one from me so you dont all think i am off having the baby!!
all is well here - not much to report. N has a virus so is being v demanding and not sleeping well etc. not easy at this late stage of preg but poor little thing sounds so sick etc it just breaks my heart. have him home with me today but think he will possibly be up for creche tomorrow - will see how he goes. dr says he would not be contagious now but i would prefer to err on the side of caution.
MM glad you are doing ok. poor M and you with the cuddles, but cuddles will be back soon. i know that feeling i have it now when i am always telling N 'mummy cant' re sitting on florr with him all the time, picking him up all the time etc. sounds like you are ina lot of pain, hope that eases soon.
rainy - be assertive and do whats best for you and your fam. make dh spk to them...
oh N is up and needs settling.. back later
PMSL PP! I did have that thought this morning when I realised you hadn't been on for a little while ;)
he he! me too! i thought this morning as i was sipping my tea...hmmm wonder if there will be a baby coming today!
i forgot to mention that i braved Ikea yesterday!!! LOVED IT! we decided to go really late and it paid off. ppl seem to leave around the 4pm mark, so we were able to get a park and wander around with ease. we have been measuring kitchens and checking out wardrobes if we get this house in carlton.
also bought some gorgeous muslin wraps for my pg friend. sooo cute. and i bought leila a mini-Poang chair!!! AWESOMENESS. she loves it!
and the kid beds are so cute! must buy one LOL!
oh clare i cried once at that ikea in richmond! it's just too full-on for me. i do love their stuff though. luckily ange braved it one day and called me to ask if i wanted a high chair...ahh yes please!! LOL
sherie- thanks for your advice on dinnertime. that's a great idea...
i do need to be more assertive with people. i think last night's melt-down was kinda good in a way though as it got dh and i talking about the visitors being here before they're actually here- so he knows where my head is at with it all and will be sure to support me....i hope!!!
pap- i too was thinking you'd had a bub...i even went and got my mobile out of the car (i leave it in there all the time) and put it on charge LOL
well the bad news around here is that my friend...who was holding jimmy and smooching him for an hour on friday....has been diagnosed with swine flu.....not good at all considering she is 14weeks pg. she's really sick, poor girl...
Clare, I love the little ikea kids beds - tooo cute! I bet L loves her minipoang! My loungeroom's currently too stuffed full for anything else...must....sell...oversized...loungesuite! LOL
Rainy, oh no about your friend?! When did she get sick, have they done blood tests yet or is it speculation? RU worried for Jimmy now?
yes they have done the tests.
yes i am worried about jimmy....but i'm thinking he would have symptoms by now,do you think? we saw her on friday morning and by friday arvo she was really sick.
Rainy - I'm sure they say if you've been in contact with someone who has swine flu, to get yourself checked out. I wouldnt hesitate getting Jimmy looked over by the doc, but thats just me, panic merchant. Maybe you could call the health line & see what they advise? Will this affect her bubba in any way? Poor girl last thing she needs atm. I think the girls have given you heaps of good advice re the family situation, I think if your DH just kindly explains it they will u/stand & I'm sure they wont get offended etc. I'm sure people u/stand life changes when kids come along!
MD & Clare - I am also a fan of the ikea kids furniture. They also have cool toys!
PAP - Not long to go now....getting so excited for you!! Hope N improves fast.
Girls for some STUPID reason I went to work today, lasted half the day & went home. Too painful sitting down all day long, just dull aches. They didnt even expect me to come in this week anyway & were all shocked when I walked through the door. I guess I just want to get on with it all.
I dont know if I will go in tomorrow or not...but if I dont, is it bad of me to drop M off at daycare anyway? I picked her up 3 hrs early today, she didnt want to leave & chucked a huge tanty at me for coming early!!!
Wonder where Noni has got to?
