Noni - Love the new belly pics!
MD - I second that, you really deserve a holiday after such a full on year. I havent been to Fiji either, for the same reason as Renee said hehe. WA's equivilent of Fiji is Bali!
Ange - Love it, so true lol!
Renee - I think the butterfly is a huge sign, ahhhhh! Have you tested yet or what!?
I am home from work today, as poor M has got a bad cold, she had raging temps every few hrs all last night & just coughing heaps. So I called in & told work I wont be in. So seeing as I am home, I thought I would try get in for a scan, seeing as my spotting is now full blown bleeding. I am not too worried seeing as I remember this scenario with M, but I must admit the bad thoughts are starting to creep into the back of my mind. Scan isnt till 4 so I will let you all know, wish me luck big time please!!!!
-
goodluck hayley... i am impressed by your 'zen' - i admit i would e scared (though it sounds normal for you)... let us know how you go.
i hope miss m is feeling better soon...
-
hi girls
renee- i think the butterfly means you are going to have twin girls!!! ha ha pmsl
hayley-best of luck with scan xoxo hope mad feels better soon
ange-pmsl that is so true!!! the dad around here is useless unless you need firewood!
pap- my cervix is pretty much useless without drugs to help it along so i can't help you there LOL
md-i've never been to fiji. my dh has never left the eastern side of this country lmao
just wanted to let you all know that aldi has some fully sick toys there atm- mini dysons, microwaves, kitchens, washing machines etc.-i'm heading there tomorrow with my dad to buy up big!!!! i mean, my dad will be buying up big, he just doesn't know it yet PMSL!!
-
Rainy, jeally as over your Aldi trip...I remember seeing all the cool home-corner stuff last year and telling myself to wait and not buy it (*hits self on forehead*) and now we're living in an Aldi-less land. :( You sound chirpy as, today lady!
MM - aww - big hugs, good luck for the scan, will be thinking of you this arvo.
Noni - gorgeous tummy pics, I can't believe you're this far already, geez the year has gone quick so far.
Thanks for all the Fiji-hol suggestions. Unfortunately with all the extra unsalaried child care AND the fortune spent in naturopathic goodies we are stoney cold broke and all thoughts of holidays will need to be suspended indefinitely. Unless Kevvie's got even deeper pockets than we thought LOL.
-
Rainy - I hit Aldi on Friday. K now has a little wooden kitchen, lots of fake food (I bought two packs), some saucepans and utensils and a toaster and kettle. I actually since have packed away the toaster and kettle as my sis bought her a plastic tea set on the weekend and it is much more suitable. Pretty good, I was really happy with it all. My sister bought the plastic sets (dishwasher / oven / fridge) as well as the utensils and food. K spent most of the weekend putting things in and out of the oven. They've got some good things on sale next week too, but DH put a hold on toys. I'm going to get some more Little People stuff though when KMart has its big toy sale next month.
Ange - great story!!
MM - sending lots of positive thoughts your way. Hope Mads is feeling better soon.
PAP - BIL and his family are directly across the road, MIL and FIL are 15 minutes away.
-
just wanting to wish MM all the best for the scan this avo and also some get well vibes for M :)
gosh where has the day gone? ill be going to pick up Asha in less than an hour!! crazy!!
-
Noni the day has flown!!!
Thanks girls, its only midday I am eagerly waiting for 4pm to roll around hehe.
Poor Mads, she just keeps coughing & coughing. She is so tired so I put her down for a nap but she cant sleep from her coughing. Bring on summer!!!
How cool does Aldi sound!? Wish we had it here. The kids will love the pretend kitchen equipment.
-
Good luck Hayley..and hope Mads gets better soon
-
hi girls!!
i must be going bonkers as i am CERTAIN that i posted this morning. but nup, it appears i havent...urgh, i am crazy.
Ange: jello of the holiday. and the warick is GREAT! they make really nice pizza at the restaurant closest to the beach....mmmmmmm. we used to escape to that hotel from Suva on long weekends. great stuff!
i haven't been to mana, it was on the wish list when we lived there but never got around to it. totally kicking myself now though LOL!
you can buy really cute bathers at the shop at the warick. my fav pair are from there...
MM: good luck today. i'm sending all the happy positive beany bub vibes your way sista!
Noni: that's so cool that you avoided drugs with A's birth! if only i had of been so lucky LOL!
reneeay; surely the butterfly has got to be a sign! has to be cause that is way cool!
Rainy: i am so off to aldi tomorrow LOL! you have inspired me!!
Cally: kmarts having a sale?? how did i miss that?!!
Supa: yep, the house (i timed it) is approx 2 minutes from lygon st. and more importantly less than that to brunettis. it's so my dream house (except for the fact that it currently doesnt have an entire roof/floor/walls. but hey, you cannae have it all LOL!
PP: sorry sista. no good on the pre-labour signs. i *think* i had one episode of BH in the days leading up to said event, but other than that my first sign was niagra falls all over the loungeroom floor LOL!
MD: oohh i wish our house could cost that! then we wouldnt have a mortgage! how sweet.....
AFM: all good. not much to report really. have managed to burst through the 10,000 word mark on one of my chapters so am feeling pretty stoked. am a bit nervous about the coming 2 weeks as we have guests staying. one of whom has bad allergies to all things pets. so that should be *interesting*. and frikkin DH has offered to pay their hotel bill if they can't handle the fur :o. it's for work so can be claimed, but still i have an inkling that he still wouldnt have asked if it was AOK with me even if it was from our own pockets.
-
what a generous dh you have clare!!! are you having ppl there for 2 whole weeks? you are more patient than i am LOL!! i am mean i dont even let family stay here if we are all home (my mum does stay if dh is away). gosh i am selfish i think.
i hear ya on last time pre labour, i was the same...
i have been sitting with a heat pack on my back all arvo though, so something is def going on - even if it is just a bad back LOL!
i dont seriously think anything will happen for a while yet. and i am ok with that.
i think i will hit aldi tomorrow too - those toys sound AWESOME!
just asked and N can go to kindy on a friday if thats when i go into labour - which is great relief for us if we need it as back up.
-
Clare - the KMart sale isn't for a few weeks I think, no need to rush out! Wow, 2 weeks of visitors, I would go crazy!!
-
Claire- I didn't know you lived there. :o I should pay more attention! I should have asked your advice i had no idea about where to go etc. Pretty happy with how it worked out i think!
MM- hope all is ok..... Saw your fb status so popped in to see if you were alright.
-

Hi Ladies .... what a busy few months ... we are now in QLD, still keeping it under our belts atm, applying for legal aid so we can do mediation as the boys father won't meet me face to face ... few drama's with the move & my friend down there (she got up the removalist that i didn't say bye but she knew i was leaving when the truck did & she watched us for 4hrs pack the truck without saying a word) ... but we are here, not quite unpacked as I ended up really sick for the last week, but almost.
boys ... alex has settled in quite well though is missing daycare ... jack is taking longer to settle as he isn't used to having so much of his own space & he's in a toddler bed now ..
anyway ... boys are being bossy & neither have slept ... ttfn xox
-
hayley- i'm crying my eyes out, i feel so sad for you honey.
i'm so sorry gorgeous xoxo
-
md- did you say there's no aldi's near you?
you have to get to one- they have wicked pink stove tops, microwaves, mixers, washing machines, cleaning sets, clothes lines- everything
we got lewis a purple dyson that he is obsessed with, a microwave with food, a washing machine and his own little table and chairs...oh and some snow boots
-
Rainy, tell that to the Aldi management who haven't opened a single store in this state!!! I know it's a travesty isn't it? Pfffft I don't need Aldi I've got ebay ;). PMSL that L loves his dyson - just like his mumma!
I know how you're feeling for MM. She must be so devastated. I'm so sad even my ears hurt from the sadness.
Ande - so glad you've made it out the other end sweetie, hang in there with getting the mediation, it usually works pretty well. Hope you can rest up and get settled in as quickly as possible. xxx
-
md- that sux!! let me know if you want something posted, i'm sure miss E would love a purple dyson :)
i'm very upset for Hayley. i wish there was something we could do. it's times like this where the internet sux.
-
G, we're heading to Corowa in the school hols, so I will have to make a trip to albury to check it out .
Hey Andie! great to hear that you've made the move and are settling in, not cool about your friend though - you didn't really need that drama. Fingers crossed you get the legal aid.
haha Supab - you will be a poas addict before too long! good luck!
Well I had to take Alister to the Dr today as he was up nearly all night crying last night and rubbing his ear and then he vomited over both of us at 6am :( . So I managed to get an appointment today with our GP, managed to get an hrs sleep before heading over (GP is 1hr away) and he has an ear infection and inflamed tonsils. The tonsils I didn't know about though as he was able to eat OK before we left, but then he'd had a dose of nurofen at 8am too. I am so glad I have the meitai though as I put him in it on my back so I could get all the stuff done that needed donig before we left and then I used it while we were over there. I am absolutely bouncing off the walls though from not having much sleep LOL. hopefully I can get to bed reasonably early tonight before it all starts again. He was absolutely fine yesterday though. When we were at the Dr's he didn't want him to look in his ears, so he covered them with his hands and kept saying "no torch, no torch" and looking cross. But Dr had a jar of jelly beans that convinced him otherwise ;)
-
Hi girls!
H: am thinking of you today and wish that i could come over and just be there IYKWIM. i am so sorry that is happening. xx
MD: Aldi have alot of *issues* with setting up shop. i am bound by secrecy to not disclose too much ;) but basically there are 'bullies' in the supermarket world, and well, Aldi aint one of them. it gets NASTY.
Andie: that is soo weird. i was totally thinking of you this morning and was going to post a 'where's andie' question to the girls!
am glad to hear that you are in teh sunshine state safe and sound. moving is a real slog, i cant stand it.
Supa: crystal clear HPTs are close to my heart as i used one for DDs BFP. i dont feel in anyway as though my egg has caught the boys this month. ah well, it took 18 months and fertility specialists galore before i fell with DD so i guess 2 months in, i cannae complain.
AFM: all good here. am freezing but had a great time at MG today. such an amazing bunch. although tensions are mounting between 2 girls (one had a recent mc while the other didnt and they were expecting at the same time, and unfortunately they have always been a bit irky with eachother IYKWIM). but hopefully as time heals it will pass.
today one of the mums announced her pg! she is 14 weeks so kept her cards close LOL! so happy for her she is just one of those beautiful, powerful women that never has a bad word against anyone.
Leila is now officially branded as the 'naughty' child at group te he he. she leads all the others astray and def asserts her authority and too right, she is the eldest after all LOL!
-
oohh sherie! ear infections are not fun! they are the hardest at night. good thing is that the ABs do clear it really quickly though...as for the tonsils. man, do i feel for him...
-
I know you would  luckily they are just inlarged and slightly inflamed, not infected yet, so I really hope the abs get onto it quick, provided it is bacterial and not viral.
-
Just got back home, MM I am so sorry :(
I wish there was something that I could do
xx
-
Howdy ladies,
No news from MM yet, like all of you I feel so sad for her. I havent been able to stop thinking about her. If I hear anything I will let you all know.
I am sorry I have been slack in posting, it seems my posts in here make interesting reading to some people outside the BB community and I had to have a think about weather or not I wanted to continue posting. I couldn't leave you all though I would miss you all to much and besides there is a tone of babies to be born soon and I dont want to miss that!!
All is well with us, L has had a word explosion and copies everything you say and do. He sat and copied all the things one of the midwives was doing today while she couldn't see him but the other midwife and I were watching him and cracking up. Most days is a real delight.
I hope that all is well with you all and I will try to contribute more to the thread from now on!!
-
I've been wondering how you've been going Andie...pm if you need to have a chat or even another catch up in Ipswich.
Hope the unpacking goes smoothly and the boys settle in quickly.
I don't think the Aldi up here has caught up with that cool stuff yet, am off to check again tomorrow. Got the catalogue in it that had the wooden train set which I love...ahem, I mean sarah would love
Sherie - hope A gets better really soon and sleep comes quickly and stays for a long time tonight
Well, as for us. Sarah has used the big girl toilet a few times. She makes the noises like trying to squeeze one out, so I ask her if she wants to do a poo and she nods and toddles off to the loo. She cracked a tanty to begin with when I pulled out the potty but I put her on the big toilet and she was happy as larry to sit and do what had to be done. She did it again this morning and I am so proud of her, she doesn't go all the time and wees are still mainly in the nappy cos I can't recognise her wee cues (mainly cos theres no face pulling or grunting lol). I'm not going to force her or officially start TT but this is a good step I think.
-
Just an update on Hayley, she is still in hospital waiting for her operation. She hasn't had any pain which is why they haven't operated yet. Hopefully she doesn't have to loose her tube or ovary. Sending her loads of hugs and quick recovery vibes!!!
-
i'll be thinking of you all day today hayley xoxo
-
Thinking of our gorgeous Hayley today.... I am glad you are not in pain and hoping you dont lose your tube or ovary. I have been thinking of you all night.
Katie - thanks for posting and sorry others are reading - it feels like a bit of a breach of your privacy hey. I have missed your updates though!
I am hoping to go to Aldi today - N needs those toys LOL! I am seeing the mw at 1015 so i am hoping to know if there is any progress yet, still early days so not expecting anything. that said there has been a decrease in mvt the last few days and i have low level constant ache in front on bump (low)...
-
Oh Aldi Schmaldi already!! :p BTW I already have one of those train sets and I got it at the OP SHOP (brand new in the packet) - so NnnnnYER!
MM, have been thinking of you constantly and sending my best rosiest healing vibes so that it all goes as well as it possibly can today.
Kate I am so impressed with that toilet action. I reckon Miss E would go alright if we tried it but I'm not sure I have the follow-through in me right now so we will wait until summer and go then.
Oz, you could always delete your username and start again, totally anonymous. ;) Only we will know who you are, we just need a code word like PENGUIN or BANANA SUNDAE.
-
MM - Really can't think of any words at the moment to make you feel better, just know that we are all thinking of you at this time. Wish I was closer, Perth is so far away!!
Andie - glad that things are working out for you
PAP - how far along were you when N was born? So close!!
