Fine today Ange, thanks for asking :) Just a chesty cough now, but he's refusing to have a bottle because I think he knows it will make him cough and then throw up - he threw up again last night just after he went to bed because of coughing, so I got him out in time before he did it in bed LOL.
-
Quick thinking saves a load of washing eh??? Poor little guy. He's had more than his fair share of spewing i'd say. Do any of the kids have ventolin for their cough?
-
No, none of them have had it for the croup - when Lindsay first got it at 10mths one Dr prescribed ventolin to use with the nebuliser and it did bugger all, and I had to use a puffer (left over from when Paige was really sick last year) with Erin before I could get the script filled and it didn't make much of a difference to her at all. The redipred steriod is the best for it. if they don't have croup they aren't wheezy at all though, just a bit chesty.
-
I used to get croup as a baby, but i also have asthma, so the ventolin was great. Touch wood the girls haven't had croup yet, but Lu does have a cough relieved by ventolin. i guess it's good they don't need ventolin, but crap that you don't have anything to relieve the cough.
-
OMG Clare I had the same ****-horse moment that Arte did! I haven't ever heard it before (except in the rhyme)...Ya wanna watch who you announce the getting of the ****-horse to!! LOL
MM - Could you organise the ILs to do a day other than Friday - would they have M for the whole day...that could save more money but avoid the awkward afternoon issues. Otherwise you could just take them up on the offer but explain how important that nap time is for getting your study done...along the lines of yes please but I would need you to leave by X o'clock. Which might sound a bit rude but politeness is not going to help you in the long run, kwim? BTW I hear you with the CC fees grief - we are paying more than that a month and I'm not even bringing in any income right now (*insert slow choking noise*). On the bright side, it's already factored into our budget so when I go back to work it'll just seem like a gain.
MM what sort of cake are you going to do? I've got some plastic ITNG figurines so I think UD and IP will make an appearance on the cake. Still got a bit of time to dream it all up.
Rainy our pram tipped over like that once (DH balanced one too many parcels on the handle when we were at a fair). Fortunately tho because it's an emma, the suspension/padding/etc everything is so sturdy and well made Missy E was very well cushioned. I was hysterical, but she was fine. Rotten that the other pram tips like that with only one child in - that's obviously a very bad design.
-
I haven't even thought about the cake yet!.... off to ponder that...
-
MM, I agree with MD - would your IL's do a full day that isn't friday? You know that if they come on Friday then they will end up staying the night....
Thanks for the '****-horse' clarification! I am glad that other people didn't know what is was too lol. Something else that has bothered me for a while too - who is this Nigella person everyone keeps refering to?
Ange, yes, W has asked a couple of times to go and check on the goat. I have just put him off. I feel so terrible because it was in the neighbours back section (could look over our fence and see him) but if he had been here then I don't think it would have happened. However, I can't beat myself up over other people being irresponsible dog owners.
Rainy, that is cute that L goes to sleep cuddling his chainsaw! I think it will be a huge hit here as it looks exactly the same as DH's one.
Trill, if I were doing a cake this year, I think I would do some sort of car. Not too hard if you stick to a square-on-rectangle shape, biscuits for tyres, chocolate mousse at the bottom for mud (would have to be a 4WD)... I would love to make it but I don't think I will have time.
Kate, hope things are improving at your place.
DH and I talked for ages last night and I think we have come up with a solution to the mum/dog thing. We are just going to go down every 4ish months, DH will take leave and we will stay down there for a week in a motel. We will just give them some excuse about the baby crying at night keeping them awake etc and I will arrange a time to visit mum and ask her to put the dogs away while we are there. I feel a lot better about it. I was getting really stressed and I think it bought on a couple of the weird headache-less migraines I had last pregnancy. I lost most of my vision in spotlight the other day, goodness knows what material I got to make my sling from lol.
Also my stepfather is being really weird atm, I obviously p!ssed him off and he is barely talking to me but worse is that W loves his nana and grandpop to peices and talks about them for weeks after a visit but DSF has started ignoring him and when W is trying to show him something etc, DSF will just ignore him and turn the t.v up louder and louder. Now W barely even tries. Mum is pretty bad at ignoring him too, she has never sat and just played with him for a few minutes, she talks to him but doesn't really interact iykwim. It is too sad though, so I have started interupting her and telling her when W is showing her something or singing for her etc. It is heartbreaking seeing him making such an effort for a little peice of attention and being ignored. I can see how kids can get naughty if it is the only way they can get any sort of attention. He is such a sweet child, he doesn't deserve to be treated like that.
Sorry for all my whinging lately. It just makes me so sad, W is one of the nicest children I have ever met (not biased at all lol), he is gentle, well behaved, well mannered, it never crosses his mind to do anything naughty, he is just a delightful child (in general - of course he has undelightful moments) and it is so upsetting that none of his extended family will make any effort to make him feel loved and keep him safe. Sometimes families suck.
I think W's molars are coming - he keeps telling me he has an ouch and points to the back of his mouth - I told him he might be getting some new teeth and he was walking around saying "getting new teeth - old ones too boring" lol
-
Nigella lawson - British cooking tv personality. Ooozes sex while baking cakes. She has a few books about the place...I assume that's the reference (everyone thinks PP is a bit of a Nigella on account of her gourmet exploits).
Yeah that is sad they don't make the effort - but you might need to give it time too. My dad was a bit like that with DD1 when she was younger, but once she reached a more independent age he feels he has more to contribute. Probably because he was never hands on with us kids when we were younger so it took him out of his comfort zone.
-
hi girls!
HOBBY HORSE!!! ha ha! that's the word! all i could think of was the ryhme (*snap* MD!)
Sherie: you are my cake inspiration...of course my cakes always seem to have a rather 'humorous' outcome...hmmm. must work on that.
Arte: i had to giggle at W's 'old ones too boring' LOL! so so funny! that kid is a crack up. man, i wouldnt even bother going every 4 months! but i can be stubborn like that.
MM: hmmm no words of wisdom i'm afraid. if you liked them and got on well it would be a no brainer, but with all the fuzziness over their behaviour and attitude i too would be hesitant (especially if it meant losing a place at CC).
AFM: all good here. not much to report. leila is little miss snot-a-bell lately, but that's nothing new! she is starting to really toilet train herself now. she'll ask to have her nappy removed and she will sit on the potty and do a wee. poos are still 'the unmentionables' though. and for those she prefers cloth....
it is so windy here in melb today. i am on the top floor of the building and it feels as though we are on a ship in wild seas LOL! and so so cold.
-
Arte - i feel for you  I tell you what though - you can come back to Oz and live in Brisbane, and i'll share my chooks grandparent's with you. They'd give your gorgeous little man all the attention he wants. (give him a little squishy squeeze from me;) )
ok, so i haven't caught up again
mm - hope you receive a 'sign' which can help you make your decision. A hard one i'm sure. Maybe you could tell the il's that it's great of them to offer, but you'd hate for them to travel all that way and then have to go as soon as you get home - because you have homework /housework, and M has to sleep. Then they'll know that they can't hang around and they can make the choice whether to come or not.
Did that make sense?????
md - how is everything going with you lovely?
re cake for H's birthday - i'm thinking of making a teletubbie cake - probably a Poh one, as it's her favourite.
i've bought her a tea set and some books, and i'm looking for a baby doll and pram. We have the Baby Alive and Baby Bjorn (belongs to J and Z) but they just about knock you out if you get hit with them - and they're not cuddly iykwim.
I found a dancing Poh that my mum is going to give her. I can't wait for her birthday!!!!!
Anyway, sorry i haven't contributed much lately - i've been having a couple of 'off'' weeks.
have a great afternoon :)
eta - Clare that is wonderful that L is toilet training! I haven't even started with Hannah. We've got the potty in the bathroom, and she sits on it, or fills it up with water when i'm running the bath - so hopefully one day she'll show me she's ready.
-
Clare, sounds like L is doing fantastically with the toilet training! After bathtime W will sit on the toilet when he needs to wee, but after he has aimed, reaimed, pulled, twisted and examined the doodle it seems a bit too hard (excuse the terrible pun) to actually go
JaZaH, your girls are lucky to have such lovely grandparents (and such a lovely mum too)
MD, I think mum will get better as W gets bigger. She has always been rather cold, I guess I shouldn't have expected much more. I do love her very much though so I will always make the effort to have her as part of our lives.
-
arte - you've made me tear up and laugh all in one day! My step mother is a bit like your mum - at least she is with my kids anyway. Probably a different story with her 'real' grandchildren. (probably why my girls call her by her name rather than 'nanna'. It's a bit sad, but i guess i haven't helped her to form a bond with my girls.
-
you know arte, in the end it's their loss not letting a sweet little boy like that into their life. my dad and lewis are best mates, i honestly don't think my dad could live without him now- he has just brought so much into his life.......
i would be telling your mum outright that it's you guys or the dogs....
-
PMSL Arte at W's comment on his old teeth being too boring. The things he comes out with are hillarious. Must admit I often share some of his words of wisdom with my DH & we both have a giggle, still think of the 'bum cream'. As for your mum, I am sad for W too, as for pop ignoring him now, omg!!! How can you ignore a child just because you are not happy with another person, immature or what. Poor W, I wish you had more family support around you, they are the ones missing out on W, he sounds like such a beautiful intelligent boy & they are missing it all.
As for the bday cake, I am either going to do the Hi 5 hand (looks tricky though) or just a normal cake with a hi 5 picture thing on it.
Thanks girls for all the help re the cc situation. After sleeping on it last night & reading all your comments, I have to agree with you all. I will keep M in cc on the Fridays, it will just become too hard relying on someone else & I dont want any more problems arising. Whats $200 a month it wont break the bank. DH agrees, he was hesitant because apparently they spoke to him about it on the weekend though he never raised the issue with me because he knew it was a bad idea from the start.
-
well I am a bit late but MM i think you made the right call re fridays - you dont want to dread it or start getting resentful... it is nice they want to help out though. how are things with them now anyway?
Ange - wow only 3 months... thats good amt of time for planning. is the int today? yep it is a seed outfit little J is wearing in that pic. it is adorable. your girls are SO cute - i love the pics you put up! i also added a few more today. You and Rainy seem to have me convinced re the MB double. think we will invest!
Rainy - that phil and teds story is terrible, i am not a fan of them anyway.. my friend chopped the top cm of her finger off using one... and she is training to be a surgeon so not good.
MD - how are you doing today?
Arte - that is so sad re your mum and stepdad and the way they treat W. they are really missing out. do you think they will 'come into their own' whenW is a little older? i think some people arent baby/toddler people iykwim? i def think my ILs and my mum will each be better with the kids and more natural with them at diff stages, just bc of their personalities - though they are all wonderful gparents i must admit.
my mum is here tonight and taking tomorrow off to help me with the boys. i am such a wuss i dont think i can doa day with them by myself.
got J weighed today - he is 4.8kg! big boy!!! he has gone from 25th to 50th percentile on weight (around 30th on height so a little chubber).
Trill - hope A is ok today. N also spews after milk when he is a bit phlegmy.
oh that reminds me - i forgot to take a bottle to sydney - so we have dropped the last bottle! he has a tiny bit of milk in a cup after his bath now and that's it.
are any of you going to move to low fat milk at 2yo? i am thinking of doing it now, just bc it is easy to have 1 type in the house. still full fat everything else though (it just tastes better) what do you all think?
ummm you have me feeling v disorgabised re the party - better get onto it. want to make it really nice for N, so much attention has been not on him lately and he LOVES parties so i think he will feel v special
He has a girlfriend at kindy now - he talks about her all the time and her mum says she constantly talks abotu him too. the teachers all mentioned it to me and DH said they ran up and cuddled each other when he arrived this morning and were calling out each other's names and she brought all the farm animals over to him as he was putting his coat away. soooo cute - young love! i want to invite the kids he loves from kindy to his party - tell me do i need to invite the whole room? and is it weird or not the done thing since i dont really know the parents? what do you think? i just figure they are his first real friends that he chose himself ie not myfriends kids... esp the girlfriend! (he called out her name in his sleep last night too!)
-
PAP that is so adorable about the little girlfriend! And calling out her name in his sleep! So cute. W always has skim milk in his bottles, it is what we use and I didn't know that I was meant to give him the normal one  He has low fat yoghurt too. He isn't wasting away, must be getting enough calories.
MM, glad you came to a decision about cc, sometimes it is worth paying a bit more just to have less stress in the long run.
Rainy, that must be so special seeing your dad and L (and J) together
Sorry for boring everyone with all my complaints lately. I have decided to put it all on the shelf for a while and enjoy the last few weeks as a family of three. The weather is meant to be good tomorrow and we are going out on the boat. W is so excited, he is packing a bag of toys to take lol.
-
Hi girls!
PP: ooooh N has a girlfriend LOL! why does that not surprise me LOL! i would prolly only invite the ones that N is friends with. no doubt the parents of those kids also know N and have seen him and their kids playing together at kindy too (ITMS)...
Arte: wish i had a boat to sailing on! hope the weather is gorgeous...take some pics!!!! wanna see some belly shots LOL!
MM: hope your holding up today after reading on FB that you had a rather *interesting* night with M!
AFM: well Ls toilet training may sound impressive but usually it is only done with success in front of her mate Lewis (our old neighbours toddler). they have been together since they were 3-4 months old and the competitive streak is MASSIVE LOL! only real problem is that she refuses to actually get off the toilet these days
-
girls i will tell you something that will completely freak you out.........
jimmy is getting 2 teeth!!!!!
can you believe it? the 2 bottom ones are poking through
well i found myself back at country road today...i think i have a problem LOL but this time it was to buy clothes for dh as he is going out tonight and has nothing to wear and is leaving me home alone with the terrible two!!! not really looking forward to that...........
arte- we can't wait to take the boat out this summer. it's just so relaxing, especially with a couple of vodka, lime and sodas LOL
pap- my friend's dh chopped his finger on a p & t as well. they sued them for all his medical costs and got a new pram.
-
hi everyone
Pap - i'd probably just invite the ones that you know he plays with - or on the other hand - if you want to get to know the other parents you could invite them all. It's so wonderful that he has a special friend there.
arte - good idea - focus on all the positives in your life for this last few weeks. Have fun on your boat trip :)
clare - that's the bit i'm not looking forward to - having to sit on the toilet floor for ages
Rainy - i've just started shopping at Country Road too. Dh gave me a personal stylist for mother's day, and we bought my jeans and some cardi's and some shoes from there. (and some other shops too) I've now started getting my wardrobe ready for spring and have been on ebay buying CR specials. I'm getting addicted, and i think Dh may have created a monster lol.
-
CR clothing is nice isnt it!
Rainy - Oh my goodness on the front two teeth!! Thats early, poor mite. Maybe this is too gorey to talk about, but how do you actually chop a finger on a pram?
Jaz - Love the video of your little daredevil on FB, what a cheeky gorgeous girl. Love her name, it goes so well together. How does a personal stylist work, do they actually go shopping with you?
Clare - Sounds like the TT is coming along nicely with L. My rough night wasnt last night but the night before & it was terrible. I couldnt even get up to go to my pilates class, but made it to toddler gym with the little terror and all the other mums were having a good laugh and we were comparing nightmare sleep stories lol, sometimes it works wonders when you can just have a laugh about it with other mums who know the feeling exactly.
I think M is dropping her daytime sleep, noooooooooo
-
MM: *snap!* i too was thinking of all these gory cut-off fingers in pram scenarios...
how did they happen?????
and so true, good to have the sista-hood to laugh away the stresses of raising babies. that's why our MG works well together i think, we have a good laugh at ourselves each week.
Rainy: teeth. O...M...G. but good on little J! growing big and strong just like his big brother!
Jaz: totally love the video of H.
i LOVE CR clothing too. wish my bank account loved it as much as i do!! although i have perfected the art of sales i must say.
-
i'm pretty sure the pram finger chop-offs happen when you are putting the pram down itms? i think it's something to do with the clasp or latch that you collapse the pram with?idk, pap will probably know more....or i will ask my friend when i see her next week LOL
i know her dh had to have surgery and time off work
eta- oh i forgot to tell you guys about an awesome toy lewis has- you know those egg cartons where the eggs break in half and have different shapes and colurs? it is the biggest hit around here
-
Hey everyone,
Exhausted here had two non sleeping babies last night!! Anyway the appt on wed went ok.. He had lost a bit over the 10% tho.. They said to make sure the feeds are long and to wake him if he's going over 3hrs during the day like u guys said and to keep an eye on his nappies.. Went back today for follow up and he'd put on 75g in two days which they said was good.. He's still not having enough wet nappies tho so they've told me to express 10 to 20mls at the end of each feed and give it to him, they showed me how to use a little cup so that I don't have to use bottles coz I told them I was worried about that.. He also hasn't done a poo since sunday eeek he hasn't had a bfed poo yet just lots of mec and not since sunday.. The paed felt his tummy and listened to his bowls and said everything seemed fine but to make sure I follow it up if he goes over a week so now im a bit worried just waiting around for him to poo... so we've been discharged from the hospital now and can follow up with mach nurse or gp so that was nice must be doing something ok if they're letting me go..
-
That's great news Noni, don't forget he is still literally only days old, give him the full 2 weeks to get back to birth weight and then you should start seeing some good weight gains. Plus as he gets older he will get better at feeding and take more in each feed. And like I said before, pop him on the boob at every opportunity. And also try not to think about what Asha was like either as BF babies are different to FF babies and they feed and behave differently, he will probably want feeding a lot more often than Asha did.
-
Thanks sherie :)
Well we had poo!! Yay haha never been so excited to see poo in my life! Quite a bit of it too as u can imagine since its around 5 days worth haha.. Well I had my first go with the breast pump tonight and I can say that was a waste of $80! Its soo painful and awful to use I can't see myself using it again!! I can hand express it just takes a long time tho the pump wasn't getting that much either which is strange because if he's feeding and comes off I seem to have more milk running then that.. 8m not sure what im gonna do about it all.. Probably see my gp on monday and see what he thinks atm I knw he's putting on weight and he does look nice n healthy will just try n offer him as much as I can and try and draw out his feeds and hope we get more wet nappies that way I think coz even the milk I did get when we fed it to him with the cup like they showed me he got horrible hiccups and wind and was really upset.. Gosh its all so much to think about.. Anyway gotta cut it short coz he's hungry :)
-
woo hoo noni!!
i just wanted to let you know i hate expressing and don't get much either. tbh, i haven't expressed at all since jimmy was born, as i really hated doing it with lewis so i try to avoid it as much as possible.
just keep putting him on your boob hun, as much as you can. i found a good idea was to put lewis to bed at night, then just sit in front of the tv in my rocking chair and feed feed feed- i'd sit there till 11pm some nights- in fact, i still do now! i sat up feeding jimmy watching the footy till 11.15pm last night- then he slept till about 5am.
i would also try giving him a really long feed while asha is having her day nap. just feed as much as you can - it's not like this forever though, they get more and more efficient and your supply gets better and then they only need short feeds less often. you've just gotta put in the hard yards now :) sounds like you're doing a fantastic job
-
Noni, I had to wonder about the cup feeding thing at this stage - he should be on the boob all the time, not mucking around with a cup. Plus the logic of what they said is baffling to me - if he only needs to have that much more each feed, why not just keep him on the boob longer - especially if you do still have milk coming out kwim?
-
Yeh I think im gonna ditch their advice and go with just feeding as much as I can.. I fed him for aaaages last night was up till about 12 and he slept till 6 woke for a feed and then slept till 9 he seemed very content will keep having check ups with my gp to make sure he's ok but think their advice may be a little silly
-
Remember, those night feeds (from about 10 pm to about 3am) are the ones that boost your supply the most. I know it's tempting in the middle of the night to get them off the boob asap, a bit of comfort sucking (ie leave them on the boob even after they have finished feeding and dozed off) at that time of night will do wonders for your supply - just try to be flexy about the rest of your day if you can. I guess the expressing is good advice for boosting your supply if he's not feeding often - you could always start freezing what you express (lots of little tiny layers eventually makes enought for a feed later on).
Rainy where did you get the egg thingy? Want one for Lisbeth, I know she will be fascinated with it.
PP I would only invite the ones that he's friendly with - or it sets a dangerous precedent. Plus you've got to think about how many weekends you want to spend at return-party-invites from ppl you don't know well. Not every party will be as fabulous as the ones you throw ;).
Arte - good idea to chill a bit - stress just breeds more stress and you really need your R&R right now, baby-baking lady!!
Well big weekend here, going out to a real grown ups party tonight (sans kidlets) and then DD1's holy shindig tomorrow. My darling friend has offered to make a cake & they were doing sugar roses earlier in the week so I'm so excited to see what it looks like! Phew I'm gonna need a lie down at some point I think.
-
wow sugar roses sound beautiful md....are they light pink? that's what i'm seeing in my head...
i got the eggs from ebay but they also have them on the teaching website..ya know the one? i think the ones on the teaching website look better (the container is better) but are more exxy.
question- lewis has a bit of an ongoing cheek rash thing that pops up here and there and then clears up- only on one cheek- always the same side- looks a bit excema -ish.....should ibe taking him to some sort of skin/allergy specialist or something? somedays it looks pretty nasty, others non-existant.
-
How is he going with teething G? Does he have anymore to get? My lot always got really red, rosy cheeks with teething that looked like what you are describing. If it were slap cheek or eczema, then he would be feverish or it would be there all the time. If it's not teething then I would just go the the chemist and ask to speak to the pharmacist about it and get some over the counter cream - I ask my chemist for advice more than I go to the Dr's LOL, but we've got a fantastic chemist.
MD, I'm sure the cake will be perfectly divine - I love sugar flowers, the look so pretty. I can't remember the last time we went to an adult party without the kids *sigh*. I think Kids Central/ELC has the eggs too.
Noni, just pop him in bed with you and leave a boob out and he can just have free access to it at night and it wont feel like you are getting up for a feed all the time.
Took Alister to the Dr yesteday for the redipred script and he was asking me other questions as well to rule out pig flu and he asked about diahhorea and I said, yeah, last week but he was well apart from the nappies and he always has very soft, unformed poo anyway (yeah lovely hey? ;) ) and he said that wasn't right, he should have firmer motions by now and I said its been like that for months and months and it's only rarely you get a firm one. So he thinks that he has a giardia bug in his intestine thats causing it, plus his weight gains have stopped too. So he is being tested for that and rotavirus (which I don't think he has but boy will i be ****ed off it has anything to do with the vaccine) and if those come back clear we will move onto allergies and intolerances etc. He thinks it is most likely giardia though because I asked if the dog's water that comes from the dam could be a source and he said yes, so that's a very likely culprit as he plays in the water all the time.
-
trill-what is giardia? i've never heard of it?
he doesn't have a fever...he still has heaps more teeth to get. if it was teething cheek though would it always be on the one same cheek like it is?
i put cream on it and that tends to clear it but then it's back the next day iykwim?
maybe i'll get the dr to check it when i take jimmy for his vacs.
-
its a bug that lives in water and transmittef by poo - like in swimming pools etc so thats why they close a pool if ther had been poo in it. it can live in your gut for months
-
omg that sounds serious, i hope he's ok :(
-
It sounds serious, but its kinda not kwim? People can have it and not even really know it apart from their poo LOL. If that's what he has all he will need is some antibiotics to clear it up. I'm hoping that it is that and not an allergy/intolerance cause that would be harder to deal with if we have to eliminate something from the house cause he can't eat it.
-
Rainy I used to love those egg things as a kid. If you have a Dr appointment for J then I would ask him about L's rash. My L gets eczema on one cheek. I cant believe J is getting teeth already.
MD what a busy weekend you have, all sounds very nice though. You will have to put up some photos from tomorrow.
Trill that bug does sound nasty. L has mostly squishy poo's too, never thought it wasn't normal though.
Noni I agree with the others, just keep putting him on the boob. It can take a while to get the hang of expressing though so don't give up first go.
Clare sounds like TT is going well, lol at the kids being competitive.
I hope your all having a good weekend. DH has a long weekend this weekend which is great then he has a pub hol on Wednesday so trying to think of something fun to do with L. I think I am going to have start a thread in the name section, we are hopeless and cant agree on anything lol.
-
HI ladies
We had an eventful day here yesterday. DH came home from work early and said that he thinks we should break up. I said 'so no more trying or effort?' he said 'no' so I left the house, taking my wedding band off as I left. Sarah was thankfully asleep but I was a mess from the moment I got in the car. He then sent me a message 2 hours later saying that if there is any hope for us then we need to talk so of course I'm like WTF! make up your mind. He made a counselling appt for next week, so we are currently on tenterhooks and I really can't be around him too much. Slept in the spare room and Sarah spent the night at MIL. I don't know what to do. He says that he's not sure of anything, including his feelings for me. I don't know where to go from here but am playing it by ear. I have an awesome friend up here who has been taking care of me and S has been predominantly at MIL.
On a different and definately brighter note, this same friend took me to get my bday pressie today. Way early but she was keen. I got my tongue pierced! Owies but am stoked that I got it done! Pics tagged of me getting it done on facebook.
Anyhoo..thats me in a handbasket this weekend. God and its only Sat arvo...whats to come?
Hi to everyone, sorry for no personals.
-
Kate sending you loads of squishy hugs . Good luck with the counselling.
I used to have my tongue done but took it our a few years ago.
-
:( Sorry to hear things are rough Kate. Hope that whatever the outcome you find some happiness.
Trill- Lu was exactly the same, we had some blood tests and turns out she is highly intolerant to Soy and mildly intolerant to dairy. It is really hard to get Soy free things, so we basically have fresh fruit and veg and i make bread. Since we have changed her diet she actually does a formed poo! You wouldn't believe my excitement at seeing a poo that rolled off a nappy. Since changing her diet she is also calmer, no eczema, sleeps better and generally happier, so i have been really happy. My GF had giardia last year when preg, and you can;t take the meds if you're preg, so she just had to ride it our for her pregnancy. :o What a PITA..... literally!
Rainy- the egg thing sounds cool. I think Lu would love that.
MD- Can't wait to see pics, will you put some up? A party without kids, wow!!! i dream of the day. ;)

Kate, that is terrible. I hope you are holding up alright and can sort out something. It is a very hard call to accept if it just isn't working anymore
Re the poo - is it not normal for them to still be squishy? W still does 3-4 a day and they are mostly squished ie not the runs but certainly not well formed roll-off-the-nappy ones. It is always a bit exciting to get one that rolls of easily lol. Usually the only nappy of the day that isn't a poo one is the one before bathtime - and DH gets that one!
