Hey everyone
Noni - good luck with the weigh in tomorrow, I'm sure little W has put some weight on. He just loves his mummy cuddles!!
PAP - ah yes, Mawson, that's where my sister is. Great news on the paint and play!!
Oz - great to see you checking in!!
Arte - loved the winching story!
-
Trill- you would be a fantastic teacher. And as for being able to do it.. pft, you would be fine. The way you write and express yourself, those assignments would just coming flowing out. ;)
Noni- the first few weeks are tough, hang in there.
Rainy- you should see my house. man, i just can't get on top of it. Maybe if i spent less time on here and more time cleaning it would look better. :p If you want to feel better about your place, just come and check out mine!
MD - are there any pics for you to show off last weekend?
Claire- Did you get that lasagne??? We had a rocking roast lamb last night. Choc self saucing pud to follow. mmmmmmmm was gooood.
Sore throat turned out to be thrush in the back of my throat from the AB's and my steroid inhaler. So i've been sucking on nylstat. (sp?) On the upside- we are feeling much better!
Going to do some cleaning. Lu is watching puzzle play- she LOVES it, gives my 1/2 hour to do something. bbl
-
MM how is Miss M today?
Noni - all the best for W's weigh in. Sounds like you've had a few rough days - just remember all that extra sucking is doing good. :)
-
mmmmmm self saucing chocolate pudding...mmmmmmm.....
no lasagne :( but DH did make a really yummo tomato pasta so it's not all bad. i *think* we have 2 lots of dinner guests over the weekend so might do a lasagne for one of them...mmmm
MM: how is miss Ms head today?
the house is currently 2bdms, but we are knocking up a wall before we move in to make it 3 and then with the extension there will be a 4th with ensuite...we are thinking of going up into the attic...
Noni: good luck today with W!!! (and i remember Leila doing a mega-feeding frenzy when she was in the first couple of weeks...she went bonkers and would scream endlessly for boob but be in obvious pain. in the end we warmed some towels and tightly wrapped them around her belly and just cuddled her as it was obvious that she had guzzled too much...i had mega-loads of milk...)
Rainy: my place is gross atm. i have no will to clean at all.
PP: i'll pop them an email. no i dont keep in touch with Amy anymore. the only girls i am in contact with from that group are the ones that are on FB. and yeah, that is sooo funny that we know the same person LOL! (you shoulda just come along to the group anyway!!...i turned up 2 weeks in...).
AFM: okay here. DH and i had 'date day' yesterday. although not as glam as it sounds as he could only take off time for a movie (i really do miss our languid days at home...gosh i am spoit lol!). so we went and saw public enemy...ok, ok, DH saw public enemy i saw johnny depp  it was pretty good, and had david wenham in it too! but TBH, it johnny wasnt in it looking hot as i dont think i would have cared for the script all that much...good performances by everyone, but the writing was a bit lacking in imagination.
-
Have been reading but not much time to post so sorry to everyone I am about to miss...
Noni, sounds like you are doing a great job. I found W to be constantly feeding and/or grizzling when he had a belly ache (not to sound like a broken record but for us it was entirely because of what I had eaten). Perhaps your milk is fast like Clare, it should settle down really soon.
Clare, great that you are getting an architect freebie! Your plans sound exciting. How is your throat now? All better since the op?
Sherie, I am sure that after juggling 4 kids at home you will breeze through uni when they are all at school. How are the facilities close to you? Do you have a campus or would it be extramural?
MD, the lake is stunning, no matter which way you turn it is beautiful. I have a nice spot picked out for when you guys make it over for your NZ holiday
MM, how is M today? I hope she is o.k.
Couple of days from hell here. W woke 4 times between 10pm and 1am the other night and it took up to an hour each time to settle the massive tantrum, then DH got up at 2am for another hour long tanty. So yesterday he was the biggest crankypants, tantrums over everything and when I finally got him to have a nap some **** woke him up with the phone. The afternoon was worse than the morning, there was a meltdown because "slater not wiggling anymore", followed by hysterics (I thought he had lost a finger or something) because "slater gone awaaaaaay", then I put him to bed again with a bottle and he came out screaming a few minutes later because "I can't get the tired's out!!"
Another couple of hour long tantrums last night too.
The bookshelf has also backfired, he likes it so much he keeps taking the toys in and out (depending on if they are awake or asleep lol) so instead of lots of storage I now have empty shelves and more toys on the floor than before. Hopefully the novelty will wear off soon.
-
Oh Arte, it sounds like you've had a few very full on days  The novelty will wear off soon enough, although it will drive you mental in the meantime LOL.
Noni, I hope it all went well today at the Dr's. You will have a day that is totally ****house, just like you do when you only have one, but it seems 10 times more draining when you have two of them doing it at the same time.
Clare, I would love to have another room added on - we've only got 3, but ours would be big enough to split. we're sort of snookered too with adding on because of the way the house has been built and then added onto over time. I would love to use the roof space as an attic, but our ceilings are so high it makes a stairway impossible.
Oh no Ange! that would be so gross to have thrush in your throat like that. You should start eating loads of vaalia yoghurt too for the probiotics. Glad to hear it's not so bad now though.
Hey Oz, don't worry about not keeping up :) I saw what you said about the other thing and I reckon that's a good way to approach it
PP, did the playgroup people get back to you at all?
All well here - actually got a few solid hours sleep in because the night was warmer so he wasn't waking up asking for the blankets to be put back on  Got the path results this morning too and no Giardia or rotavirus, so I have an appointment to start more testing etc to find out whats going on the 24th.
And thanks for the support about me going to uni too, I really appreciate it. I'm just so not sure about it because it's been 15 years since I was at school and it's not so much the work, because I reckon I could handle that, but it's doing that as well as running a house and chasing after kids kwim? It would be externally through Charles Sturt and the closest campus is only in Wagga, so not that far away if I needed to go. It was a toss up between that and nursing as well but that would mean a whole lot more face to face stuff and extended time away from home etc. Although I do worry with teaching that I would be too Mum-ish and just tell them to sit down, shut up and stop bugging me  I want to do it because DH has worked so damn hard over the past few years supporting us while I stayed home with the kids, and when he's done working off farm, we will still need an outside income because there is just no money in farming anymore (if there were parity pricing for grain and livestock etc no one would be able to afford to eat - that's how much of a shortfall there is. We get paid only $150 per tonne for wheat, but if it were parity priced it would be closer to $1000) and then I would still be able to have time off when the kids are on holidays etc and I am just leaning that way towards wanting to help children learn kwim? So I have much to ponder the next few years because it wouldn't be till Alister was in school anyway. But I will be 34 then so maybe I would be too old....
-
hi there
q quick one from me as i just got both my delicious creatures off to sleep so i am getting a few mins to myself. no offence but i am prioritising LUNCH! ha ha ha!
my ILs are in town this weekend - so they are doting on the boys which is great... theya re off having lunch with DH at the moment so i get a min or 2 to myself.
Sherie - i also think you would be a fab teacher. i agree with the others - you will brezze through and be such a natural. and with your exp with the kids you will have a class of them sorted in no time. it is great that yu can pop to the campus if you need to as well,. what does your DH do 'off farm'? sorry i thougth he worked on the farm. does that mean someone else runs the farm? or does he do both? sorry i am a bit clueless when it comes to these things. glad it isnt rota or giardia and hope they sort it out soon (do they think it is an allergy)
Arte - nothing to say but sounds like DAY FROM HELL! LOL. love the 'cant getthe tiredsout' i know how hefeels sometimes.
Cally - we are now staying in Lilli Pilli I found a muchbetter and s****y house there! but i will still meet you atthe muffin shop. it will be great. noah says he wants pink one muffin please!
Clare - your house plans sound AWESOME, wow!!! mmmmm lasagne. i will have to make one soon, havent done one in years. YUM!
Noni - hope the weigh in went wel today. i like clares idea re the warm towel on the tummy, they showed us that at hosp and i do it for J. i also have masses of milk and fast flow so he suffers when he is too greedy!
Ange - hope the thrush gets better soon.it soundsNASTY.
-
hey there.
snap pap- both of mine are asleep too :)not for long though i imagine.
trill- i think you'll find the workload is not too much volume wise itms? in a teaching degree. i did mine when i was 25 and thought that was too old LOL i look back now and think that is so absurd! i'm soooo glad i did it- not so much cos i love the work, but more that it's such a convenient job in that you can do it anywhere, do it part-time, do casual relief teaching....the list goes on.....the hours are fantastic and the holidays are the icing on the cake. you are definitely not too old to do it- you still have plenty of years in you yet girl!
arte- sorry to hear about all the bad sleeping. i was awake for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. lewis had a bit of a nightmare i think..and then jimmy woke up and was giggling and clapping and thought it was party time!
-
snap here too! Must be the day for it. ;)
I meant to say... Trill i'd be more than happy for you to share your simple Nigella recipes! ;)
34 is not too old. You still have 35 working years left! :o
-
the weather's so nice ange-we shoulda gone to sanctuary today :)
gggrrrr boob monster is awake.......has sas got teeth yet?
-
fak- i can see the bottom two but not quite through yet. It is a cracker day! What happened to winter?
-
mine are still asleep!!! love it!!! and i am lunched.. so back...
i have been focussing on J self settling and so far it is going well. i have never rocked him to sleep can you believe it? i put him down drowsy and he goes to sleep... i know this prob wont last, he is still so little but i am quite proud of myself... no crying or i would of course cuddle him but i am hoping id ont end up where iw as with N's sleep...
damn boith awake
-
Well done to you lot on getting them both to have sleeps!!
PAP - you will get better mobile reception in LilliPilli I think. Tell N sorry, but they don't have pink muffines - they're more the massive type (ie double choc chop, raspberry and white coconut etc). They do come with icecream if you want which K is quite fond of....
MM - how is Miss M today?
Noni - how did the weigh in go?
Trill - I totally agree with everyone else, you would be a great teacher. Sorry it looks like allergies for Alister, shame it wasn't something simple.
Arte - hope your next few days are easier.
-
cally: mmmm muffins with ICE-CREAM. that is so sexy.
gosh, now i really want vanilla ice-cream...do you guys remember those vanilla slices of ice-cream that you used to buy at the supermarket? they came in navy blue packs...mmmmm.
got a cracker of a headache today. cant budge it and it has meant that i cant focus on anything. so so annoying. i fell asleep on the couch last night and i think this is what did it...arrrghhhhhhh! meant to be having a few dwinky winkys with the girls tonight, and gosh darn it but ****tails are not going to mesh well with headache me thinks. waaaahhh!
-
I know Ange, the weather has been gorgeous lately up here. I even got the legs out and wore capris, but I wished I shaved them last night
PP, if he is quite happy to self settle, then he will probably keep doing it.
I don't know if the Dr actually thinks it's an allergy/intollerance or not but if it's not giardia then I guess all you're left with is allergy testing?
-
Thanks MD for the concussion link yesterday & for caring! As it turns out she was perfectly fine. Feel like a bit of a paranoid mum for worrying, but she has never had such a rough fall before & she was so upset for at least an hr. What a worry!!!
Trill - My MIL did her nursing degree at the age of 53, she is finished now & working p/time hrs. Her hubby was also the provider while she was the SAHM & she decided that once he retired it was her turn to bring in some money. & really she doesnt do it for the money, after yrs of being a SAHM she is finally doing something for herself. I think you would find it a really rewarding job. Even kindy teaching would be great, my sis is two yrs into her kindy teaching degree & she just loves the kids to bits & the satisfaction she gets out of it is great. Also I think having had four young kids of your own would be an advantage to you, especially when it comes to those assignments on child development.
PAP - Funny how some things you did with your first, you vow not to do with the next. Next time around there will be no dummy & more self settling lol. Oh & no flippin bottle in the bed lol.
Clare - I dont remember that icecream, but do you remember the peters icecream's that had apricots in it? Ohhhh why dont they make it anymore?
Arte - Ohh no what a rough couple of days. Hope things pick up.
Noni - hang in there sounds as if you are doing a good job.
Wonder how Leemar went on the flight to Vegas?
M has started saying 'all gone' & 'baby' everything is a baby atm.
Dont know what hit me yesterday, but I have been sick as a dog. I was perfectly fine yesterday morning, went off to pilates & toddler gym, no worries. However in the arvo I started feeling all achey & fluey & within an hr I was lying on the lounge with a temperature & was all dizzy & nauseous. Spent the night tossing & turning, hot one minute cold the next. Dragged myself off to uni feeling like death warmed up(unfortunately this unit is based on attendance), however I am now starting to feel better just a bit weak. Really really strange. So far M doesnt seem to have it, fingers crossed it doesnt hit her as I felt terrible.
-
hope you're ok hayley- just take it easy ok? lots of relaxing and looking after yourself
-
Hey MM sometimes being paranoid is what keeps our kids safe. Not caring enough is what harms children. So glad she is ok. xxx BTW I don't remember icecream that had apricots in it...? Tho there's a particularly nice haigh's chocolate that's some sort of yummy apricot arrangement in it :). Sorry to hear you're so rotten, sounds like the flu by the way it came on so fast .
Trill -nope never too old! At least not for ppl of our age, we'll be working into our 80s I'm guessing LOL. BTW I went to uni with a chick who was 73. She was studying for the pure joy of it, after giving her all to her family for the first 70 years. Go girl power! LOL
Clare you sound very tired and very hungry. Is there something you're not telling us??? I'm on to you, miss.
Arte- oh I can't wait to visit that spot!!! BTW love your use of the word "extramural". Sorry to hear you're having the tanty zone over there. I'm sure it wasn't funny at the time but i was LOLing about Slater not moving, etc.
Ange full commiserations on the skanky thrush throat. I hate the cherry nilstat flavor with a vengeance, but it works pretty quick. I bought some biodynamic tub-set yoghurt and swilled that around my mouth a few times a day which also seemed to help.
PP do hope J's self-settling style continues. DD1 was always a good self-settler but it all went horribly wrong with DD2...looking back there is a very definite personality-connection there.
OK every one send me essay vibes please, it's gonna be a sprint to the finish line. Want to whip the first one out fast, apparently the 2nd is marked comparitively against the first (ie how much you have improved - hand-holding 1st year subject). Ps mean degrees.
-
The funny thing is I dont have a sore throat or a runny nose etc, the typical cold symptoms. I dont know what to think!!! I was so sick yesterday, definately feeling better this arvo (even going out for dinner tonight whereas last night I could barely move from the lounge) but still pretty weak, been having trouble picking Maddie up. So strange!!!! I am actually wondering if I had a mild case of food poisoning, as on Wed night I had a chicken kebab that I dont think was cooked properly. Thank god I snatched M's back off of her.
Ange - Ouch, thrush in the throat sounds terrible!!
MD - Yeah I agree, & what kind of parent would you be if you didnt worry? Thank goodness all was fine. & essay vibes essay vibes, so know the feeling! go girl
-
md- ha ha i'm laughing my head off at your 'Ps equals degrees' comments, i swear this mantra is what got me through uni!
-
Ps gets degrees is what dh always said when he was at uni too!!
Ok *takes deep breath* things have been awful.. Pretty much 2 days of constant feeding or screaming.. To the point where to sleep I had to have my boob in his mouth and some of the time he was falling asleep too but as soon as u took him off he'd start agin.. He was inconsolable it got to the point he was crying so much that I was crying heaps too and even yelling at him sometimes even though logically I knew it wasn't going to help.. This morning after a nightmare night I sent dh to the chemist to get enough stuff to atleast make one bottle in the hope I could settle him for enough time that I could get ready and get him to the drs.. Dh got home with the stuff and we made him a bottle I still felt really unsure and upset but I have it to him anyway and he drank 60mls after feeding on and off all morning at the breast and was quiet until the dr undressed him to weigh him and he went back to sleep after being re dressed (very rare for him).. On the way to the drs dh and I talked about switching him over and how I felt and we pretty much resolved that we wld switch him over because I wasn't handling the crying well and dh goes back to work on monday and ill be looking after both kids.. Aaaanyway we got to the dr and the dr looked him over after wed explained everything and said he looked quite dehydrated and a little frail compared to when he last saw him and he put him on the scales and thered been no weight gain at all :( infact he was wearing a singlet and nappy and weighed only 6grams extra not long after a 60ml bottle so he might have even had a small loss... im slowly overcoming the dissapointment buti think it'll take a while to move on completely I mean I still sometimes feel guilty about not breastfeeding asha.. Dr said we deffinately made the right decision tho and to never let him go over 4hrs even over night until he shows a steady weight gain because he needs to put on weight asap.. I feel much better mentally tho I've got to spend some time with asha instead of being constantly attatched to billy or too cranky coz he was crying and we've seen immdiate changes in him he's sleeping better he's settled between feeds he's weeing more and tonight he even did a poo.. Wasn't much but wasn't constipation looking either iykwim hoping for a nice weight gain on monday and my happy baby to continue being happy so nice to hear him calm after 2 days of crying!!
Anyways that's my epic story hope I can get it together and be a better buddy from now on.. Thanx heaps for ur constant support I know I would have been in a much darker place without it xoxoxo
-
Noni  don't feel bad, you have done all you can and your doing whats right for your little boy and your family. Sounds like you have had an awful few days. I hope W is a little more settled on the FF.
MM how you feeling today?
MD sending you loads of essay vibes, would some chocolate help with the study???
Clare are you talking about those rectangle ice creams? My dad used to buy them and waffers and make us ice cream sandwhiches mmmmmm
Girls woo hoo on getting your kids to sleep at the same time!! Is that something that happens often???
Trillian I have been in a dress the last two days but am lucky that I cant see my legs to see how hairy they are lol, I might have a go at shaving them this morning.
We have a busy weekend here, we have a 2nd birthday this morning and a 30th tonight. We were showing DS how to dress a baby (teddy) and wrap him for bed last night. I thought I would get the bassinet out and show him where bub would sleep but Logan decided its where he would sleep, there is a photo on FB lol. Better run and get orgnaised for this party.
-
Noni-you should be proud that you gave it such a good shot. it didn't work out and that's fine, at least you gave it a crack. sounds like you've definitely made the right decision for everyone. hopefully things pick up a bit now and you can get some rest :)
katie- it usually happens every afternoon that i get them both asleep at the same time- but sometimes it only lasts about 30 mins so i try to make the most of it! lol
-
well done Noni - you gave it a really good shot and it seems that FF is the right decision of all of you. I hope he continues to gain some wweight and be a little more settled for you now. i must say it sounds like you have a lovely supportive GP.
Katie - I do manage to get them to sleep at the same time sometimes - well N has one sleep atm and Jakey is still having lots so there is usually some overlap. but to be honest the overlap is usually about 30 mins for some reason. I must say one of the hardest times for me is getting them both down for naps when they are both here... if one isnt upset the other one is (or both LOL)
MM i def think choc would help with the studies! it got me through a lot of essays LOL
Sherie and MD - oooh i hope the self settling continues. i think he is prob doing it bc he is still so young though.
-
Noni, no guilt, ok hun? You've had a few really hard days so you need to be proud of all the effort you have put in, and also that you had the good sense to know when it wasn't working and do something different. At least you managed to give the BFing a good crack this time unlike with A when you felt like you didn't really get to give it good try, kwim? Sometimes things just don't turn out the way we want them to, but in the end, it's ok, kwim? It might be a few more rough days but then i'm sure he will settle down and you can catch up on your rest etc.
Katie yes I'm sure some chocolate would definitely help but I'm not sure my waistline can tolerate it - I'll be eating out of control again next week when I start on the steroids again LOL. No impulse control at all
Well my two lovies have just been picked up by their aunty which means we're officially child-free for the next 18 hrs. Going to a ****tail party tonight. Wooweeewooo!
-
oooh ahhh MD - enjoy!!!! you guys have a fab social life back in SA hey! you go girl!
do the steroids speed the metabolism enough that your no self control yumminess doesnt show on the waist? i know such an irrlevant question in the scheme of things - but you do need to look for upside where you can get it.
-
He he NO! Nice thought Pregpan but steroids basically make you fat. :( Our Alan from BB told me he gained nearly 20kg while he was having lymphoma treatment. Pretty common actually. Oh well I'll have plenty of time to work it all off once my treatment is over.
Just waiting for our Indian takeaway to arrive. mmmm sure am enjoying our child-free time! :D
-
Noni - Dont you dare feel guilty ok? I think you've made the best decision for W & your family, definately. You gave BF a good shot, well done. I am so glad he is settling easier & generally more happy now. Things will get easier from here on in.
MD - ENJOY the ****tail party!!!! Let us know how it went tomorrow.
Went shopping today & spoiled myself for once. Also got DH some new shirts, real cool sexy ones, but he reckons he wont wear them lol. Damn be stylish boy!!! Also sneaked in a CR dress for Mads Shhh!
-
Hi everyone
I was heading in to bed an hour ago (fell asleep on the couch watching the Secret Millionaire) and thought i'd catch up on what's happening in your lives.
Noni - You're doing a fabulous job, and i'm sure we've all yelled at our bubs at some stage, due to lack of sleep. Hopefully your little man will now be happy and content so you can enjoy each other a little more.
Md - I reckon you'll do really well with your essay - you have a way with words.
Clare - I remember that icecream from when I was a little girl - we had it when we went to my Nanny's place - brings back such wonderful memories. So sorry that your Oma isn't doing well.
Trill - I've got the perfect job for you - run a Farm Stay!!!! You could have groups of school students come along for a camp - and you could run it! I think studying would be hard work with 4 children and a farm to run, but if it's something you really want to do - I say go for it! You could take it slowly to start with while you get a feel for it.
mm - Hope you're feeling better now, and glad that M's collision didn't cause any concussion.
rainy - i love your new Fb profile pic - you're such a yummy mummy - and your gorgeous boys look just like you.
pap- hope you're coping ok with the in laws being there. I think adult company is definitely the way to go. I remember when J and were young, I joined a playgroup. For me it was really stepping out of my comfort zone - as i'd always been a person who needed a backup person to go anywhere new with me.
oz - hope you've had a good time tonight. I love seeing all the pics you post on Fb. Your little man is soo cute.
hi to Cally, Ange, Arte and Kate too:hello:
afm - as you saw on fb, we had an absolutely fabulous time on our Farm stay. Zoe has a fear of dogs, but warmed to a border collie that lives on the farm. He followed us to our cabin and stayed with us until we left. Poor Zoe cried on the way home and I did too :( She reminded me so much of our Chloe who passed last year.
Hannah had a ball, and ruined just about every outfit she wore - but hey, it was worth it, and i dressed her in daggy clothes anyway ( On our last day there was a new family, and the litle girls were all dressed up in their pretty clothes and shoes and the mum was telling them not to stand in the poo! I would have loved to have seen them at the end of their trip.) Her new word is Horse and she loooves to Moo like a cow now.
ok, going to try and get to sleep now.
nighty night.
-
Saw the farmstay pics Jaz, the girls looked like they had a great time. Are you going to get another dog? I saw Hannah's grubby knees in the photos, so unavoidable but hey who cares she was having fun & I'm sure being a mum of 3 girls you have plenty of napisan hehe
-
good morning everyone
mm - you went to bed late too! hopefully you're still asleep right now. Hannah woke me up at 6am, so now i'm wishing i'd gone to bed much earlier. I have to babysit my 9 month old nephew today as well - and he's just started crawling. Going to be a busy day.
have a great Sunday everyone!
-
I know Jaz & I am paying the price, while DH sleeps in! But Sundays are his sleep in day, only fair as he works long hrs. I was waiting up for him to come home from bowling last night, I was going to go but had a full day of shopping & M fell asleep in the car after a day of no sleep, & I just put her straight into bed with no dinner, but she slept through so no worries there lol.
-
Just a quick one to say hi and hugs to all.
Got the counselling session tomorrow so am in for an emotionally exhausting day.
Thanks for all the support girls... :grouphug:
-
Kate, Have been thinking about you, good luck at the counselling. I really hope it helps.
PAP, how is life with the ILs? How long do you have them for? Mine called yesterday and offered to come up and stay to help out while I was in hospital. Nice of them, but I can't think of anything worse lol, people hanging around waiting for me to pop out a baby. And I don't think they considered that it could come any time in the next 5ish weeks, it isn't like they come right on their due date.
JaZaH, your farm stay sounds like it was lots of fun.
Noni, hope you are feeling o.k with your decision to bottle feed. IMO you have done the best thing - there is no point wasting your precious newborn days with an upset crying baby (and mum) when FF can make everyone happier. Especially now that it is bub #2, you just don't have the luxury of spending all day on the new bub.
Rainy, what is the name of the breastfeeding dress place that you were the supermodel for? Someone in my belly group is on the lookout for a BF dress.
The other night W slept from 9pm until 7am, no wake-ups!! DH and I walked around with manic smiles on our faces all day - it has been nearly two years since I have had that much sleep.
-
art- top secret maternity.
that's great you had so much sleep, you deserve it! i hope it lasts.
i couldn't think of anything worse than having my ILS around the birth either.
i told dh when jimmy was born that he had to keep them away for at least 2 weeks or i would go psycho at her...so he did!
have you got your baby name all sorted?
kate-best of luck with counselling. i hope everything goes really well.
jaz-how did you go babysitting?
md-how was the ****tail party? sounds like fun
well jimmy slept from 10.30pm-5am last night woo hoo!!! but then at 5 i only fed him on one side and he went back tosleep and now my other boob is bursting!
lewis has been sick, poor little thing was throwing up yesterday and ate nothing for the whole day. hopefully he gets his appetite back today
-
OMG Rainy, that is a great sleep effort from Jimmy!! I hope it is the start of an all night trend. Hope L is feeling better soon, it is horrible when they are sick. We have names, I don't love them but they are o.k and DH and I agree on them. W is blabbing the boy name to everyone, pats my tummy and says "might call him xxx", won't consider that it might be a girl lol
-
Arte - so cute about W and the name... we didnt tell N that J was a boy or his name for that exact reason. cant trust a talking toddler. N told me I hade 1 bum, 2 bums yesterday. thanks for that!
Kate - have been thinking of you, i hope today goes well - let us know.
Rainy - wooo hooo on the sleep! that is so great. Hope L is better today, those tummy bugs are awful btu at least our boys are now kind of big enoughto handle it.
MD - how was the parteeeee?
Jaz - how did you go supermum and superaunt!
well the good news is the ILs have gone... the bad news is they are coming back in a week or so....
dont get me wrong they are lovely and we get along v well - just v self centred and getting worse... my vent thread got me through the weekend... and numerous texts to my SIL!

PAP, Yes, in hindsight we shouldn't have told W the potential names - my aunt and cousin got it out of him in one go lmao. LOL at your two bums! Yesterday W told me "mum needs to do sweeping" and then after a further look around "house is too messy". Little dear. Yay for your IL break, nice to see them, nice to see them go lol. Hope you don't have mastitis. Try holding a hot water bottle/wheat pack on it as much as you can.

LOL Arte - the honesty is just too much!!!
thanks for the heat pack tips - i was just wondering if it was heat or cold that i was meant to do.

Arte W is just so gorgeous. My house is chaos today, I am glad W isn't here lol. A huge woo hoo on W's sleep too, thats awesome.
PAP I was going to suggest the hot compress too, when I had mastitis I put a warm face washer on while I fed. I hope it clears up quickly for you.
Rainy poor L, I hope the bug passes quickly. Woo hoo in little J's sleep.
Kate good luck today will be thinking of you.
I am off to get my house work done, have loads on this week so am going to do what I can today. Catch up later ladies.
