Travel magna at target!! I got Sarah one and only saw 2 designs so got a 'semi' pretty one but then saw heaps of awesome ones the other week. But Sarah loves hers...great distractor and easy to cart into restaurants/shopping trips etc
Just had to pop that in cos I so love ours!
Hi girls :hello:
-
Thanks Kate I will have to have another look for one. He has the normal size magna doodle but I want one that I can take out with us.
Trill your cake was amazing. Its exciting seeing all my Oct buddies pop, even if it isn't Oct yet lol, hopefully I am not last again.
Ange great to see you back, S sounds adorable, its a good age. Bugger about the teeth though.
G L is so lucky to be getting tramp, we had hoped to fix our sloping backyard by Christmas to get L one but I dont think it will happen.
MM who wouldn't get clucky around twins lol, sounds like you had a lovely day though.
Jaz good luck with the diet. I will no doubt be starting one in the new year lol.
MD I am only just staring to put L in size 2, he is still in a one in shorts. I got a whole heap of shirts from target and I think best and less have a sale on.
I have my last job on today, its a big one too.... 4 kids plus mum and dad. DH got called into work so I also have my ever helpful (completely the opposite) assistant. Guess I should start getting ready.
-
Oz - hope the shoot went well, and that L was a good boy for his mummy :)
Clare - just wanted to wish you all the best for your trip. Take care and have a great time.
Trill - just want to say thanks for my Av - I loooove it!!! (wish i could wear shorts like that irl :) )
Ange - Welcome back - sounds like you've been having some interesting adventures!
Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.
I've spent the day gardening and doing housework - and the wonderful thing about that is that it means I can have some sweet treats while I'm watching some crap tv (dh is away camping) Apparently doing 1hour each of gardening and housework meant i burnt 600 calories!!!!
-
woot wooo looking good Jaz.
-
hi girls!
woot woo! love the avvy Jaz! love the happy spring colours! mine is def a melbourne 'dark and moody' number LOL!
kate: darn it! I wish i had of seen the travel magnas there instead of at the airport! no doubt i paid a 200% inflation
AFM: well busy packing. i *think* (read: hope) that i have packed all we need for Leila. so much stuff and so little space...poor barbie is being stretched to her limits LOL!
will log on when we get to italy to let you know how we fared...eeeppp! nervous much.
-
Clare, I will be thinking of you swanning thru the air on the way to Bella Italia, hope it all goes well. xxx
AFM - Well the ILs have arrived FOUR DAYS earlier than expected :wall:. Originally they were coming on Wed pm but yesterday mid-morning DH gets a ph call to say it's going to be tmrw pm and then we get home at 3 in the afternoon to an ans machine mssg that said "We've decided to keep driving straight on through and will see you today" :o. Descended on us less than an hour later. Of course the house was a sty because I've been sick and before that it was chemo week, but my exact thought process re frantically running around to clean up was "**** it.".
-
Marydean - Have a wonderful time :) Are they staying with you for a couple of days?
-
Just checking in to let you know I am surviving lol
Clare, hope the flight is going well. Jealous of Italy, not jealous of 30 hours of entertaining a toddler in a confined space!
Trill, thanks for offering to send wondersuits, but I have stocked up on some fluffy warm ones - they make her look like a giant marshmellow but they are nice and warm.
MD, is it a certainty that you will lose sensation or a risk? I think I would chance a loss of feeling for even-ness. Good luck with the ILs.
Ange, I was watching Steve Irwin in PNG and it is an amazing place! I assume you won't be living in the rainforest lol, but still way cool wrt wildlife etc
Ginger, did L enjoy his tramp? We played on ours for about an hour today, with icecubes to bounce around with
Hello to everyone else
After a horror few days, W seems to be back to himself. It was madness, every little thing started a tantrum. I think it was a combo of being sick, the baby and the change from routine that made it so bad, but geez it was bad. I was seriously wondering how I would cope when DH is back at work. Luckily he seems to have settled down again. DH and I have decided on an ignore strategy for the remaining night time tantrums - to just sit in his room but ignore all the demands as trying to reason/compromise with him just seems to feed it and drag it out longer.
Thankfully he doesn't seem to blame A for it, he still wants to hold and kiss her all the time.
We had a great day today, did a little bush walk and then had a picnic lunch. And W had his first haircut! He looks like a big boy now!
-
Jazah, make that a couple of weeks :wall:. I had to activate my EFB (Emergency Friend Beacon) within an hour of their arrival. I have a code word ("Penguin") and my GF who lives around the corner is under strict instructions to turn up and rescue me if I ring her and say the code word.
Arte I'm glad W has settled down and you are hanging in there. Last horror ride we had with E was after her ear infection came back (but before we realised). Hope it's onwards and upwards from here.
Hope everyone else has had a nice weekend.
-
Hi everyone
OMG MD at your ILs just showing up like that - I would be fuming! LOL at penguin, i need something like that too...
I hope the flight went well for Clare and you are living it up in Italy.. so jealous! how long are they away for and will Clare have BB access?
Jaz - love the avvy! you dont need gutsuckers there hon! looking great in the short shorts
Ginger - will think of you at the CR sale on wed - i am there for sure!! have you seen trenery? i was excited about it, but i dont love it. how does L love the trampoline - how fun!
Arte - glad things are going wel. your bushwalk and picnoc sounds lovely. are you co-sleeping w A?
Oz - hope the job went well.. and you are all ready for the BIG DAY!
hi to anyone i missed
have just come back from a great weekend in melb. it was jewish new year so it was jam packed with family stuff but we had a ball! N went wild with all the grandparents and cousins - it was greatt os ee him playing and enjoying them all. DH and BIL took the 2 boys to Collingwood childrens farm on Sat whcih they LOVED! all in all it was great though we are all tired now. i am giving J a relaxed day today... he still has a bad cold so is a little bit not himself.
I hurt my knee badly on thu night so we nearly didnt go - it is alot better now though. but i think ia m proba bit of a time bomb for some knee injury that requires treatment.
Both pairs of shoes DH bought me oseas dont fit - one pair is tiny and the other massive.. oh well nice thought!
I jusy heard there is a nasty gastro going around - and a few kids at kindy have had it last week... PLEASE DONT LET IT ATTACK AT MY HOUSE!
-
hi ladies
md- best of luck with the inlaws. we have a code word around here too, ours is 'strawberries'...
pap- think of me AT the CR sale on wed, cos i'm heading down there at 9am LOL have to buy myself a 'party' outfit and a shirt for L. i don't like trenery, i think it's a bit too 'old lady' if you ask me. apparantley they had to make it cos people were complaining that the original CR had gone too young.
the trampoline is a huge hit, i have trouble getting L to get off it. it's fantastic!
hope everyone is having a great day today, dh got home early and is out mowing the lawn. takes him 3 hours as it is an acre LOL
-
I agree G, i went into Trenery all excited thinking it would be nice classic peieces and it is majorly old lady. CR has becomeyounger and is great now - so i will stick with what i know!!! i wanted to get something new for N's party but i am still too fat... so i guess i will be using the sale to get some fab stuff for N and J (though i am loving a couple of handbags they have ATM so maybe i will splash out on that.. - never too fat for a handbag)
Just took J to the nurse - he is putting on weight beautifully - nearly 6kg now... the flat spot is improving which is great... but his fontanelle is tiny so i have to go to gp. i will ensure i dont google that as i am sure i willFREAK out!
oh J awake - off to feed...
-
PP - Happy Jewish New Year!!! I was thinking about J the other day, has there been any progress with him favoring one side/turning his head? Definitely don't google before you see the GP . Enjoy the CR sale - agree, never too fat for a handbag
Speaking of which I picked up some lovely tops 30 % off at my fave fat lady store yesterday - mindful that I won't be able to shop for clothes at all thru Dec and Jan and my summer wardrobe is woefully lacking. Need more clothes that cover the chest area but are easy to get in and out of - won't be able to move my arm a lot - think loose, flowing (ie I will be wearing lots of artfully baggy clothing LOL). Actually found a few that fit the criteria AND look nice so it's a good start.
Ginger - yay on the trampoline hit! We didn't have one for years but now we're back in a "normal" backyard both DD's are always out there and even DD1's friends congregate out there - they sit and chat when they're not jumping. LOL that you have a code word too!
Well FIL is rapidly redeeming himself by mowing the lawn and also working on some DIY jobs that are a little too complex for DH's rudimentary skills. They still don't realise what a bl**dy imposition it is to just turn up like that though. Unlike last time they visited they have got their act together re spending time with the kids - MIL started teaching DD1 to knit within hours of arriving and Missy E is absolutely besotted with FIL (???) and constantly runs up to him to give him leg hugs LOL. They also rode their bicycles to school with DD1 this morning (even tho it nearly killed MIL LOL) so all in all I think it's going to be a good visit.
-
MD when will the surgery be?
It sounds like things are on the improve on the IL front - how long are they staying for?? it is cool tey can ride their bikes up to the school with DD1 - means you dont have to take her and it is good for them all... that sounds quite fun. do you have to 'entertain' them or do all the cooking etc? thats what iw ould find hard.
J is still favouring one side... but i think it is getting a bit better and the flat spot hasnt worsened. the nurse thinks it looks a bit better, i think it looks the same...
ok i have to get motivated to shift the baby weight... starting... tomorrow!
-
md - wow - they're with you for good while then aren't they!!!!! Very good news that they have got off to a good start though. I like that you have a code word - very clever.
pap- sounds like you had so much fun while you were away. I love having big family meetups. Unfortunately they don't seem to happen much since my grandfather passed away, and because grandma's in a nursing home. What did you do to your knee?
arte - that's good that W still loves his little sis - Hopefully things will settle for you soon.
-
Happy belated birthday Alister!!!
PAP - we have the gastro bug here. K and I had our weekend in Canberra and my niece vomitted on Fri night and Sat morning, then had runny poos on Saturday. I was up most of Sunday night in the bathroom. No signs of K having it yet and finger crossed I haven't passed it to DH. My BIL and sis got it too. Has been a long time since I've been that sick, but compared to the gastro thing DH had a few years ago (about 3 full days worth), this one is minor. But it has still knocked me around and I'm having today off work too - great way to loose weight though, especially after a weekend of my sister's yummy cooking!!
MD - good luck with the inlaws!
Clothes - most of K's this year are from Target. Cotton On Kids had some adjustable waistband shorts. I'm finding that most of her shorts from last year are still fine though.
Need to find some of those travel magna doodles!
Had a wonderful time in Canberra. K and her cousin were just gorgeous together, chasing each other through Floriade and K was so good at sharing things with her. We had a pretty busy time, lots of shopping and K did very well, only a few little tantrums and one minor one (middle of the Canberra Centre, just lay on the floor and wouldn't get up).
Time for me to retire to the couch for some quality TV viewing!
-
Oh Cally you poor thing with the gastro - you dont sound too down about it though so I am guessing you are not hit too bad - enjoy some daytime tv and soem dry craxkes i guess! so far we have avoided it, Noah is in fine form and wolfing down food so for now we are spared. doing a LOT of handwashing let me tell you. glad Katie and DH avoided it so far. What shopping did you do??
I have been buying N a lot fo summer stuff the last few weeks - got quite a bit of Jack and Millie stuff from myer and also some cotton on stuff which was a bargain. will supplement tomorrow at the CR sale and we should be ok! I got afew things for J as well but i am finding that harder. i dressed N is all sorts of stuff but it seems weird to me to put J in shorts and t shirts til he can at least crawl - dont know why?? he just seems too young (am i babying him!??).
G - I cant beliebv J is in size 1 already... though J is wearing 00 so i guess that does make sense. they grow up so fast (sob). N must be fairly small - size 2s are sometimes a little big... and in CR they are HUGE! weird, i thought he was pretty big.. (maybe i should have him weighed?)
Jaz - i hurt my knee on thu night, i was crouching down to get to the floor and it 'popped' or maybe i tore something. i couldnt really stand up from it and it was soooo painful.. nearly cancelled melb but i went and i am glad i did. been popping panadol and it is feeling ok now though.. i will wear aknee brace when i go on walks for a bit and hope it holds up.
N is in such a cute stage at the moment - he is MAJORLY cheeky!! craxks me up all the time... one weird thing he has done the last 2 days is want DH and I to feed him... bizarre...
-
where is everyone today??? is it a PAP party....????
come and chat to me...
not much happening here... went for a lovely walk to manuka and met Dh for lunch. it is a weird day here - big dust storms i think so it looks SO eerie outside...
I am having one of those days where i cant blieve J is soooo big already. he is cooing and ga gaing like there is no tomorrow - i guess he'll be a talker like his bro.
-
I've been here but I've been norti and not posted.
We've had dust all day here too and it's really strange because there is hardly a breath of wind here.
PP, some of the clothes sizes are really dodgy - the 3's that I have Alister in are shirts that belonged to Lindsay, so they are 8yrs old and they are just tiny for 3's compared to the ones you get now and they haven't shrunk either. Mind you he can still get away with wearing the size 0 shorts from last year he's that skinny around the waist, but I don't think they will fit for all that long. And you're not babying J - shorts do look odd on little babies LOL. I didn't like much of the J&M stuff our local Myer had, but maybe they have new stuff? Their stuff is usually really nice.
Oh no Cally! I hope you're feeling better this afternoon! Woolies have little fisher price magna doodles - about A5 size. We brought some for the kids the last time we went on holidays and they were great in the car.
MD, I would have been sooooo annoyed at the early arrival of the IL's. Even if you get along great with them you still need the time to mentally prepare properly for them ROFL. But it is great to hear that they are doting on the girls and doing grandparent-y things with them
Arte, its good to hear that W has settled now and that it didn't last for long. Is the ignoring at night still working?
Well there isn't much happening here - I have a quiet week for the most part - Paige had a birthday party yesterday afternoon so I had to take her to town for that, but I don't have to go out again till thursday now. I have been cross stitching like crazy to get SIL's wedding sampler finished by Thursday so it can be framed and I reckon I will get it done tonight. I brought Dan Brown's new book the other day half price at target so I am keen to get the cross stitch finished so I can read it. Kids are all well. starting to wean Alister off his bottle too and doing the 'don't ask don't refuse' method and only giving it to him if he asks which is usually only at night anyway. he seems to be eating much better now for not having as much in it - not that he was having much anyway but it has made a difference which is great.
-
howdy everyone hope our all well.
PP ouch about your knee, is it ok?
Cally oh yucko on the gastro, my biggest fear is picking that up now.
Trill I cant wait to see some pics of the weddign sampler. My mum has still yet to finish a cross stitch she started when L was born lol.
A big hello to everyone else.
Not much happening here, have been nesting like crazy but thankfully there isn't much more to do besides the general cleaning like floors etc. Hoping ot have everything done by the weekend so I can relax and enjoy some time with my boy.
-
we made it!!!!!!!!!
cant say much now, as we are about to get some groceries, but quickly wanted to pop by and say that we are in bella italia LOL!
BBL to have a read over and tell you guys how the flight went....
-
ok. am back. survived a shop at a supermarket PACKED with the most delectable food known to mankind. found restraint.
what is MEGA cool is that cloth nappies here are a norm so i picked up HEAPS of awesomely beautiful nappies for like 10 bucks a pop. love it!
Cally: no fun on the gastro. it is truly awful, but thankfully (and pardon the pun) passes quickly. you can get some vitamin supplement thingys for K at the pharmacy if you are worried about her losing too much weight too...we did this with miss L as she was really run down...
PP: weird on the dust storm! did the weather man mention it or is a freaky friday occurence?
Arte: WTG with W recovering from the madness lol! must have been harrowing to witness those meltdowns considering he is usually cool, calm and collected...ahhhh how do i wish Leila were like that LOL!
Oz: ooohhh not long to go now!
md: so not cool on the unexpected visitors LOL. i would have been packing it lol...my house requires quite the "preparation" (read: tornado) to receive guests....good work on the lawnmowing though...ahh you have lawn to mow....
ok, leila is heading towards meltdown so must keep it quick...
AFM: well the flight was surprisingly great! we had lots of fun looking at planes at the airport and thankfully as it was a nighttime flight for the long haul (14 hours straight) she managed to sleep for most of it. it was made WAY easy by using the carseat as she was unable to run about (and also she knows her carseat and was able to relax). the flight between dubai and rome was more crapulent as the hostess decided that we couldnt use the carseat...mega wrong. but i wasnt interested in a fight. so leila couldnt be contained and didnt relax once. also we hit MEGA turbulence over istanbul and i swear i almost barfed up dinner LOL! leila hated that part.
in dubai i kinda spent a fortune . bought a pair of the most radical prada sunglasses and bought DH a gorgeous porsche carry on luggage bag. so nice.
leila is a bit tired but surprisingly she managed to beat the jetlag overall. she woke once at 3am but we dragged her into our bed and she slept with us. this is the first time she has slept with us without complaint so am feeling the warm and fuzzies lol. not to mention that i am loving the snuggly sleepy baby smell!
-
:happybirthday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATE!!!! :happybirthday:

-
gosh why when i have a baby with bronchialitis do we have to have a dust storm!! woke up and the sky was red! when i got out of bed i found my kitchen covered in dust coz the window was open!!! sorry i havnt been on much been really busy with 2 sick kiddies.. asha finally went back to daycare and swimming mon and tues, big relief! and weve decided to pick up an extra day for her at school.. it will be a struggle with money but totally worth it i think!!

-
Happy Birthday Kate have a awesome day
Clare- hope you have a wonderful time
Livi's molars are still trying to come though and she had temps yesterday, Xavier has another ear infection and Jordy has a runny nose other than that all is good.
Hello to eveyone
-
Happy Birthday KATE!!!
Clare - glad you made it over there safe and sound.
Me - feeling a lot better today, have made it in to work. Had a massive headache yesterday that didn't go with two panadeine forte, or a trip to a chiropractor or a big overnight sleep - however my cappucinno did the trick this morning, so maybe a sign I need to start drinking more decaf.....
Leanne - uhoh, sounds like lots of cuddles and panadol at your house!
Noni- hope the dust has cleared by the weekend! Everything down here is red (we had the storm yesterday) and very messy!
Trill - however do you manage to do things like crosstitch with Alister around? K would have all my threads all over the floor!!
PAP - mainly shopping for K. Bought her a toddler bed in Target (on raincheck), lots of clothes (would 13 Tshirts be considered excessive for the summer..... let alone the dresses and other smocky kind of tops) and a doona cover for the new bed. I got some sneakers, but they were easy as I got the same as always, so didn't even have to try them on. Also got K some new summer sandals. So I think she is right for summer!
Work time!
-
Cally, he's not usually a problem - he might come and have a sticky beak at what I'm doing but he doesn't worry about touching the threads for some reason. I remember it was harder to do with Paige around as she would get into it. I do it mostly at night though once they are in bed. I don't think 13 T's is too much - not when she's going to cc because they can wreck a shirt in a day if they get paint on it LOL.
Clare!!! So great to hear from you all the way over there. I got excited reading about your trip to the supermarket LOL - I can just imagine what it would be like.
I did a bit of retail therapy yesterday too and brought a stack of Gymboree stuff while the dollar is going OK LOL. All their summer stuff is reduced again so it's dirt cheap. Weather is terrible here today but at least it's not dusty again. Just super windy and cold!! It's not been this cold for a few weeks.
-
HAPPY BDAY KATE!
well i am home from the CR stuff - managed to do some visa damage but it was a bit disappointing to be honest... i was there at 11am but a lot fo stuff was GONE! anyway got a few tshirts for J and a pair of shorts for N.. and 2 tshirts (not on sale) and a wallet for me... so not a bad stash but not what i was hoping for... my RED GORGEOUS bag wasnt on sale.. so i am waiting it out for that one.. G I am dying to hear what you got LOL.
Cally nope 13 tshirts so isnt excessive, i think they go through so many more clothes in summer... just outside more and more messy play which we all love.. I have quite afew for N too and am still hunting. got a heap of cheapies from cotton on for kindy days etc too. Glad you are feeling better... and LOL at the caffeine headache - i have been on decaf for so long now that they are long gone here.. but i know how bad they are...
Clare - great to hear from you and a big WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOon the good flight. i am so pleased for you. Noice stopover shopping too...
Sherie - it is v cold here too.. after a few weeks of gorgeous weather. it is about 14 today MAX and it looks like the weekend will be worse.. like 11. you picked the right time to come visit.
Just found out DH has another oseas trip in Oct (so 2 trips in Oct) - NOT HAPPY JAN!
-
hi lovely ladies!
Happy birthday Kate! Hope you get spoilt :)
Clare - so glad that you made it safely, and without too many dramas. You'll have to post a pic of your new sunglasses - I'm waay jealous.
Trill - hope you get some time to read your book. I've got a book that i started ages ago, and was really enjoying it - I don't know what's happened, but at the moment i just like watching the tv. I'm sure i'll get back into it soon.
I might have to check out Gymboree.
Cally - sounds like you had fun shopping!! I don't think 13 tops is too excessive ;)
noni - i hope the dust storm doesn't affect W too much. It's really horrid isn't it. We've got it up here today - so no swimming in the pool today.
pap - ouchies on the knee. I'm hoping it's feeling better for you today.
md - hope your week is going well.
hi to all of you other lovelies :)
-
pap- you are not gonna believe it...i walked out with NOTHING!!!! Yes you read that right, nothing!!! and i was there at 9.30am.
there was too many people and heaps of the stuff was size xs.....lots of baby stuff and girls' but not much boys'
Ended buying myself a lovely pair of shorts from witchery and lewis a sick pair of blue nikes LOL
sorry i'm being brief but on dh's dad's crappy old laptop since ours died and it is so SLOW
-
pap and Ginger - that's a shame you didn't find anything at the sale. I thought about going too, but it wasn't too long ago I had a big CR blow out. Maybe when i've lost the weight i want to I'll head back in there. ( i love the Witchery stuff as well)
-
What a disaster the sale was LOL!!!! My SIL also couldnt get much in Melb (chapel st). I think they need to start splitting who they offer the pre sale to, only us hard core on day 1... i think they are offering it to all and sundry these days... (kidding - kind of!).
-
yeah it was crap. i won't be going again
-
The CR sale doesnt start here till tomorrow, but I dont know if I will bother. Mind you I keep eyeing off the gorgeous summer pinafore's they have for girls atm..... Also a Trenery has just opened here & I agree its nanna!
Anyone notice that Betts Kids are having 50% sale on the second pair of shoes? So I got M a pair of silver ballet flats for her bday & also a pair of summer sandles that worked out to be $20. Yay! Love a bargain.
Clare - So glad the flight went well. How long are you in Italy for? It must be just amazing. Who are you staying with? I am so envious. What a good idea using the car seat to keep L contained, that would so work for M too. Bummer about the mean air hostess on the second leg of the journey, obviously doesnt have kids. Mind you its probably a safety thing too.
PAP - No I so agree with you on not dressing young babies in little boy clothing. I know someone who had her 3 day old baby in a t shirt & shorts and they looked massive & ridiculous. Keep him looking like a baby for as long as possible I say!
Whats with this red dust thing?
Noni - Oh no didnt know W has brochiolitis. Poor mite. As for Asha's humpty dumpty cake, you can use fondant & knead colour into it & then shape it. Is that what you were thinking? I was racking my brain how to make a jup jup cake for M, in the end I've done the above & made a huge square cake that I will ice. Then I will put the jup jup figurine on top, rather than doing the cake in the actual shape iykwim. Mind you for humpty dumpty you could bake a massive round cake for his body and use fondant to make his arms & legs, if you see what I am saying?
Oz - On the home stretch now I cant believe how fast its come around.
MD - Cant believe the in laws rocked up early.....what a stressful day that must have been. At least they are helping around the house & enjoying the grandchildren.
Trill - This gymboree sounds tempting....
-
gosh i just spent ages cleaning red dust out of my kitchen!!! aaaanyway
re the cake what i was thinking was cut the cake into the shape and then use fondant as icing as well as for the facial features and the legs but the more i thought about it the more i went off the idea.. not only is it expensive to make or buy, its alot of trouble and im not sure asha should be having such thick icing hahaha!! im just gonna cut the shape out and do a few layers of thin icing and hope it ends up looking something like humpty dumpty lol..
gosh im jelous of you girls and your shopping!! im still wearing mat clothes or whatever i can squeeze into of my pre mat clothes.. as for william weve hardly bought him anything he lives in all the hand me downs weve been given and asha is desperate for new summer clothes.. haha u talk about cotton on for cheap clothes for us thats more like our expensive range hahaha its big w and best n less mostly here, with the odd pumpkin patch or myer brand thrown in when i go out with my mum but thats not often atm lol...
mm - theres been massive dust storms around blowing red dust everywhere.. or did u know that and meant whats with the storms? haha im confusing myself now!!
-
Hi girls!
PP: bummer on the CR disappointment. sounds like it was a universal let down! "fake sales" really irk me as they waste soo much time.
Rainy: wow, you truly were devoted to the CR sale lol! 9.30am!!! at least the trip wasnt totally wasted...nice buy on the shorts. was thinking today that i need a wardrobe revamp...hmmm.
Sherie: what's going on?! LOL everyone is shopping!!!! we soo need to buy stuff for leila it aint funny. here's hoping they have some sales here...i REALLY love Zara Baby. wonder if they have sizes for big kids, hmmm.
Noni: oh no! i didnt realise that he had bronchilitis! poor wee thing. how did he go with the dust storm?
MM: we are staying with the family. one week with DHs dad and wife and little girl (she is almost 7) and one week with his Mum. we are hoping for a week away somewhere nice like the cinque terre or something....i will need escapage from family time LOL! ILs are sooo much hard work as you just dont have the same ability to tell em to jump LOL!
Cally: are you sure that you are ok to be back at work?! sounds like you are still very crook!
Kate: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!
AFM: all good here. Leila had a minor meltdown this morning around 5am as we were invaded by a swarm of mozzies (Pisa is built on a swamp, so imagine summer!). in the end we got up at 6am and by 9am she lost the plot so i have put her back to bed for an hour or so.
Leila is having a BLAST playing with her Aunty Sofia (who is almost 7). they get along so well and look sooo similar that when we go out ppl think they are sisters. pity that leila doesnt get that Sofia doesnt understand english though LOL! Leila understands and speaks italian but also uses english, so there tends to be some confusion. as a result though Leila has been speaking HEAPS. so great. and her love of food has morphed into an obsession. last night we were fed the most exquisite mushroom pasta dish that the whole time leila sat there exclaiming rather loudly: YUM! Wow look at your ladies and your shopping. I want to go shopping!!! L is still in size 1 at the moment but could probably get away with some size two tops. We will have a shopping spree once bub is here, we all need some new summer clothes.
Clare I am so jealous of your trip lol. I cant wait to see photos when you get home.
MM nice work on the shoes, I like Betts, even more so when they have a sale.
Noni hope that the sick fairy stops visiting you guys. The dust is awful isn't it.
A huge big hello to everyone else. Where is Arte these days? Hope all is well with her little family.
Not much to report here, all good with bubs. DTD this arvo and have had heaps of nice strong braxton hicks since then. Hopefully when I go into labour L is asleep as every time I had a contraction tonight he would say "you right mum" and hold my face in his little hands kissing me until I was ok lol, very cute now but I imagine it will get old very quickly while in labour. This baby cant come before Sunday though, I am all booked in for some pampering on Saturday and a hot date with DH Sat night.

Lol Oz now I know why you were so excited about your DH coming home early from work today! Wow on the contractions, just another reminder that you will have a newborn before you know it

Hi all, just popping in to let you know I'm still alive. And kicking. LOL Still haven't kicked this lurg and looking like I might have to postpone Missy E's party this weekend (*LOUD SIGH*) cos there will be babies and very preggers ladies and I trooly don't wanna share. Will wait until Sat and ring around if necc.
Clare, living vicariously thru you, keep posting please!!!
Oz, mucho excitingness re the contractions .
Noni, I hope W's bronchiolitis gets better quickly & he's not too bothered by the dust (saw it on the telly). BTW I thought the same thing about cotton on until I stumbled on a tshirt sales table - but it seems exxy to me when it's not on sale. I had a big shop up at Best n Less - but like every where, you have to watch the quality, some is good, some is overpriced for what it is. I hate tshirts with those rubbery pictures stuck on that crack after you've washed them half a dozen times and stick to the iron if you accidentally iron over them LOL.
ETA - also wanted to add, Cally I don't think 13 is excessive at all - water play, messy outdoor play, suncream accidents, summer iceblocks, TOILET TRAINING, all being reasons why we need extra sets...bottoms especially if you're planning to TT during the warm weather.

Oh no MD!! I hope you are well enough by then to have the party still. Can you just put the IL's to work so you can get some rest? And does your fave shop start with an A by any chance? If it is they have some nice stuff this summer - I got a pair of navy 3/4 pants and a teal shirt when I was in canb.
Oz, I hope the 'hot date' does the trick for you ;)
G, I was wondering what you would have brought at the sale. I hate it when they do that with sales and just have a huge sale to get rid of the stuff that isn't moving the rest of the time.
PP bugger about the extra OS trip for him!!! But I hope he doesn't get you any more shoes LOL. I couldn't be so brave as to get a red handbag - I've had mine since before I had the kids and I just couldn't take the leap to something so bright and daring.
Noni, I hope the wee boy is better soon for you  If I were doing that cake I would still get some fondant/royal icing and just do the arms and legs and the red spots and green belt/tie and just do regular frosting for everything else and some liquorice for the hair etc. It is expensive to do a cake if you go all out but I reckon it's worth it.
H, definitely check out gymboree - they have gorgeous girls clothes.
Clare, she's a real little Italian babe isn't she? I can just imagine her with her Aunt - there is a similar gap between L and my brother too and he just adored him when he was a toddler and would follow him around everywhere. And how could you be in Italy and NOT go shopping? LOL
It's supposed to be really cold here over the weekend too and I hope it's not because we have a 40th birthday party for one of DH's workmates on Sunday and we were thinking about camping out as they are having it on the river banks at the back of their house but if the weather is dodgy we will just come home I think.
