party was great, lewis had a ball. we had a few weather issues of the raining kind which was pretty upsetting.....but what can you do?
i'll tell you more about it all later, was just popping on to check on katie
My goodness MP, I can't believe people are already talking about ttc #3's! Good luck with WW. I really need to do something about all the extra weight I have put on, but instead today I made a pavola and a chocolate mud cake lol
Ozstar, hope your bubby comes soon. I can't wait to hear the announcement. Is it a full moon again yet? Last month 5 of us from my belly buddies group had our bubs after the full moon lol
Ginger, good to hear the party went well. At least your bad weather wasn't of the snowing kind. It is flipping cold here.
Hello my lovelies, no I have not sailed off in our blue Iggle Piggle boat, it's just been a huge weekend! The party was a blast, the weather was perfect (sorry Ginger, full commisserations at your end ) and we had the backyard decked out with streamers, IP's boat, these huge balloons (each one was a metre big LOL), a pink castle and spinny flowers etc. The kids played and played and then I served the Pinky Ponk juice (with red heart and orange flower icecubes and curly straws) which was a hit with the youngest guests esp! DH did mini-pizzas to die for, we had Iggle piggle biscuits (strangely a hit with the grown ups???), makka pakka rocks (choc crackles) and tombliboo cakes (well not really, there was an icing mishap ). The birthday cake was three dimensional with a cake gazebo in the middle but I'm still not sure how many of the party guests worked out what it was supposed to be LOL. Missy E was delighted so I guess that's all that matters.
My sis and one of DD1's friends stayed on afterwards and we stayed up late and played Balderdash (haha that game is hilarious) so needless to say we were all walking zombies today. Plus my cold/throat/chest extravaganza is back with a vengeance (*stamps foot*) so I took to my bed this arvo.
Arte, wow, that's a bummer about your strawbs...if that was me I would've run out and put straw or shadecloth or something over the top ... who knows they might survive? BTW A rolls when you say she rolls!
MP - love what you wrote about our buddy group - very special to be a part of . GL with WW!!
Clare - oh so totally have been there with the public hysterical rage brought on by ILs LOL. Not recently thank goodness, so glad your DH whisked you away when he did, what a treasure he is. Hope it's smoother sailing now you got that out of your system.
Trill - thinking of you, sounds like you had a huge weekend, now for the coming-down afterwards!
Dont worry Arte - I am talking about it in the FAR DISTANT future!!!!! I just know it will take me ages to lose the weight and i want to be HOT for a little bit ebnfore i get utd again.. plus i know if i have more kids without losing the weight in b/n i will never lose it - will just keep piling baby weight on top of baby weight iykwim. anyway.... lets see how i go...i have the ww meeting this afternoon - feels weird to go there, i guess an admission to myself that i have indeed pu ton some weight... i saw some pics of myself froma truip infrance a few ys back and i thought i look bad there.. then i reaslised the skirt iw as wearing would def not fit me now... yep gotta do something about it.
Ginger - bummer on the weather but i ams ure they all had a ball.... and MD far out that party sounds amazing!!!! i hope you got loads of pics...
Its so quiet in here lately. I hope everyone is ok and just super busy.
I am still here. Was up for 2 hours early this morn with some braxton hicks but obviously didnt eventuate into anything lol. See the middie today, all is good and bub is engaged so now the waiting game. I have 2 weeks before there is talk of induction or anything so all is good.
Well girls I am amazed at how fast the year is going.... Somebody please slow it down for me and I am finding it hard to catch up.
The kids are all great ATM. I aged another year older today and had wonderful day. The kids all got me a bunch of flowers which is my most requested item.. DH even bought me home some special chanel madmoselle perfume for me which is my fav atm.
MD- The party sounds like it was amazing
Ginger- bummer on the weather
Hi everyone
Well not too much going on with us here. Rorys home for a few days so we'll see how that goes lol...
Anyhoo...mainly popping in to catch up and see how you are all doing. So will be back sooner or later...
Have a good night
just quickly popping in as i am using MILs internet and needless to say i dont wanna seem too greedy in my 'foriegner ways'...oh yes, the dramas continue LOL!
Oz: sounds like things are warming up for you and bubs...good news on the locked and loaded position!
Leanne: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! and so true, this year is quickly disappearing, i cannot believe it...
MamaP: i know, all of BB is quiet. although a few mentioned logging in issues...
AFM: not much to report. IL dramas and the like, usually surrounding my strange forienger ways with raising my daughter...ah well. we'll be gone soon! soo looking forward to coming back. have found this trip so trying in comparison to the others and i reckon it is because it is the first time we dont have our own place. so are living right on top of everyone. next time we'll find a place to rent i reckon because this is madness.
LEILA HAD HER FIRST HAIRCUT TODAY!!!!!! she now is the proud owner of a fringe!
mp- i've been trying to pm you but the pm function seems to be broken? i wanted to say that i've got a free membership voucher for ww that i could post you so you don't have to pay for membership. probably too late i know......so did you end up going yesterday, how did you go? i'm actually considering joining up myself next week.......
katie- nice to hear from you, i'm sure things will happen soon.....so what's the latest guess with the gender? do you and dh think boy or girl????
clare- i'd love to see a pic of L's fringe. i'm glad to hear i'm not the only one with major IL issues....well, i know mm does too....and sometimes mp too....LOL
md- the party sounds AMAZING, you must be exhausted! time to lie down in upsy daisey's bed for a while i reckon LOL
Thanks G - I did go yesterday... it went ok.. a bit full on for my liking but i need the motivation and i know i will do it... i have a lot to lose (more than i thought)...
I think it will be a good motivational tool and framework for me though, willpower is my issue...
Oz - ooh i hope it is the calm before the storm! did you like FAME? i saw it last week - was a bit of a letdown i think but it was ok.
MP I was let down too, wasn't a great movie. Gee that girl could sing though.
G you got any plans for L's birthday today? DH has thought this one is a girl right from the start. I have thought girl most of the way along too, mind you that could be because everyone else has convinced me lol.
L has on his cranky pants today and wont listen to anything I say, I am not int he mood to fight though lol
Oz, I think it is a sweet little girl for you. I had a couple of hours of BH contractions two nights before the big event.
Ginger, how is everything going? How is the sleeping at your place? W has finally started sleeping through the night, over the last two weeks there have only been a few nights when he has woken. I seriously hope it doesn't take A two years to start sleeping through.
PAP, I should really be your weight watcher buddy, they even have a $1 joining fee special going atm but then I would have to stop eating all the yummy cr@p I have been having lately lol. My double pram is stranded at mums and there are no plans to go there in the near future so I can't even go for walks unless A is in the sling but it is a bit hard on the back since she is in there so often (excuses, excuses lol)
Clare, congrats on the haircut! W had his first the other week, he is so proud of it lol
So finally sleeping through at night, but it has come at the expense of day naps. He is having one now, but it is the first one in about two weeks. It is so hard to entertain him for 10.5 hours while DH is at work, especially when we are stuck inside. W has become a big fan of the movie Cars, we have watched it a lot over the last few days. He sits there babbling about what is going to happen next lol.
Happy Birthday Lewis Hope you have a wonderful day, gorgeous boy!!!
Oz, it must be the day for cranky pantses! LOL If I hear Nooooo mummy, no mummy, no mummy one more time in that special whiney voice she saves for me I swear my head will explode! Luckily the little treasure has just gone down for a sleep...
MP - let us know how the WW goes. I seriously need to do something too over the next few months, if they start me on Tamoxifen the weight loss door will slam shut. Now that chemo is over I don't have a good excuse for eating cake anymore LOL.
Ginger are you doing anything for L's birthday today or was it all done and dusted on Sunday?
Clare I bet that fringe is cute as cute! Missy E needs another haircut, trying to teach her to stand still to brush her hair but I've nearly given up as her brush keeps mysteriously disappearing LOL. DD1 needs major hair work but I'm in for a fight because she insists she is 'growing it' but looks horribly scruffy.
Leanne, it sounds like you had a lovely day! So pleased for you, that perfume sounds lovely. I'm completely out of touch with perfume these days, need to spend some quality time at the perfume counter I think.
DH went back to work today after a week at home, I'm missing him already. The poor exhausted man only really caught up on sleep the last day or two and now he's back at work and it all starts again. Am trying to be much more productive on the home front but am still so tired it's a bit pathetic really. FIL has been helping DH with a heap of little repairs etc around the place so after 10 mths in the house I finally have child-locks on my kitchen drawers and a shed that doesn't leak LOL.
ETA - Arte, after DD1 stopped having day naps, she would have 'quiet time' in her room - basically a 45 min rest where she could look at books, listen to a story cd or play quietly on her bed with her toys. Saved my sanity some days and because it was a part of the routine we never had any fuss over it.
MP - weekends could be best, however I can finish off early at work and pick K up after her nap too. TTC again??? How many are you aiming for?
MD and Ginger - glad the parties went well, apart from the weather G.
We are having lots of rain - unfortunately not the really heavy dumpy rain, just the light showers which mean you can't wash, the grass is always wet etc.... Glad it is DH home with K this week and I still get to go to work!
Happy Birthday Lewis - hope your day is fantabulous!!!
Md - bummer about dh going back to work. I had mine home for 2 weeks, and I really enjoyed having him home. He got lots of odd jobs done too. The party sounded wonderful. You're incredibly creative! You'll have to post some pics in our Sept Bubbies group. Hope you're feeling better real soon.
Clare - you poor thing. Lovely to be in Italy on holidays, but not nice to have to defend your mothering skills with the in-laws.
MamaP - good on you for heading down to WW's. I'm finding i'm incredibly motivated at the moment. Possibly because i'm not finding the diet difficult. I'm still allowing myself to have my sugar fix - which I really need. So far I've lost about 3.6kilos in 3 weeks, and about 5 cm off my waist!
Arte - that's great that W is sleeping through the night, but bummer on the day naps.
I have a feeling that Hannah is starting that trick today. Yesterday I was at a cousins place for a play date, and her 2 1/2 year old twins don't have a day nap anymore. I was thinking at the time, thank God Hannah still has hers because I soooo need it. Well I've jinxed myself. She climbed out of her cot today, and is in her bed now - but still chatting away to herself. I'm sure she's going to open her door and come out any minute.
Kate - i hope everything goes well for you while R's home .
Leanne - glad you had a lovely birthday. I think your dh spoils you a bit you lucky girl
Oz- I am so excited for you and can not wait to hear the news.
Clare-Haircut is so what livi needs now too.
Just got the kids into daycare 3 days a week now as mum needs the extra day at work OMG its going to cost $543 a week looks like I will be cutting back a bit on spending now..... Cannot wait till they go to school as it will be cheaper at private school than daycare...... I am ****ed.... Sorry for the rant
