oh, i forgot to tell you all...i've got dh to agree that if i agree to move to sydney, we'll definitely ttc #3. big move from the man who was going to get the snip 6 months ago! LOL woooo hoooo i reckon! we've already picked out names and everything ROFL
Oz: ahhh i have heard of him LOL! i am so vague sometimes LOL!
G: ha ha! you are too funny! and really good at driving a bargain
Leila was SOOOO tired after kindy today! unbelievable hour and half of indecision and crying. first the shower on was offensive, then when it was turned off it was a tragedy...ahhhh practice for the teenage years me thinks LOL!
Noooo Ginger! Don't move to Sydney...Melbourne's muuuuuuch better (and closer for me to fly to for visits ). Still it shows he's come round in a big way!
MM we've had a few skips but mostly due to sore ears, etc. She usually crashes later in the day and will have a quiet lie-down when she needs it. Like her mumma = loves to sleep.
Clare we are having similar issues - esp re food. Wants food, has tanty when food is brought, food is taken away, screams like a terror victim. The joys of toddlerhood! Perfectly normal I think. I was LOLing at your Team Jacob moment, ya dirty old woman PMSL.
Am supposed to be helping (read = doing all the work) cleaning out DD1's bedroom at the moment...no wonder I'm procrastinating on BB! It's pack-a-gun feral in there, might get my leg chewed off by a wild animal before I make it out of there.
Haha md might get ur leg chewed off.. Sounds like our spare room!!
Have had an ok day here apart from dh sulking over us having no money.. Hello its xmas ofc there's no extra money layin round!
Made some cards with asha this morning and we put our tree up this avo since the first is a tuesday..
William had a little try of soke peach today.. He was winging and carrying on and eating his hands and I cut a little bit of ashas peach off and let him suck on it.. He loved it.. Kept pulling my hand back to his mouth coz I was holding it.. Wasn't planning on introducing solids early meh prob won't give him something most days anyway and im certainly not motivated to start making baby food hahaha!!
Hope everyones having a good wkend!
Hi girls
On the I touch again as my laptop still being fixed so this may be a quick post
Will get computer back in melbourne so I will be back to my prolific self!
Ginger yay for ttc! Though when is this move planned for? You better not jump ship just when I get to mwlb!
Clare - I like northcote!! Will be there for coffee and cake! But I think we will def live around malvern as it is also near family etc
Arte - sleep is not something I am loving at the moment! Noah is pretty good - Jacob not so much! He is a good self settler but has lots of night feeds - prob more than he needs but it seems to be only way to settle him. I think I get up to him v quickly too - before be is crying. How is it in your house?
Noni - wow can't believe he is teething! I think we will try solids when I get back from mwlb this week! Glad you sorted out the $$ - stressful!
Well I am still on a weightloss mission but tried stuff on for work meetings and I am fitting into lots of stuff I didn't expect - good motivation!
Anyone heard from jaz?
MM - I love robbie! DH took me to his concert in Budapest as a surprise for my 30th! Love love him!
Noni I cant believe W has teeth already, they grow up to quickly.
MP wtg on the weight loss. I need to get off my butt and start exercising.
MD how did DD1 go with her bedroom? Any wild animals?
MM L is still having a day sleep... thank goodness.
So over the heat, I dont mind to much during the day but hate it at night. I wish we had daylight savings, L has been getting up at 5-5.30am everyday. Its horrible if Z has had a feed at 4am.
so true! 2 days ago i was wondering...hmmm havent heard from Jaz lately!
MP: yeah i would totally be wanting to live near (ish lol) family. you'll just have to come this way and we can scamper off and watch movies at the westgarth theatre and eat lemon baked cheesecake
MM: yip. Leila has started to ignore her tiredness and power on through the day sans sleep. drives me bonkers for the 2 hours that she is normally asleep as she is really really rotten wiht her mood.
oppps gotta go, we are doing a daytrip today. not sure where, but hey!
after thinking that L was dropping his day sleep, he's started having it again every day. he really can't do without it.
MP- well done on the weight loss. as you can probably tell, i've fallen off the wagon a bit! not putting any on, but not losing any either. i've decided that instead of dieting, i'm going to increase my exercise and see if that makes me feel a little better. i just love my food too much! and over the holidays my SIL and i just loved sitting my the river at night with a glass of wine or 2! so lovely.
we won't be moving for a while yet, need to do a lot of work on this house before it goes on the market, which is very hard to do with 2 small children. planning to sell in march 2011. everyone please cross their fingers there are no bushfires over the next couple of fire seasons!!!
md- i know, i agree that melb is much better than sydney (sorry sydney-siders). i love melb and would stay here forever if i could,....but....there is a whole heap of reasons why sydney is starting to appeal. we are still very much in discussions about the whole thing. i honestly don't think we make a 100% definite decision until the end of next year. lots to think about..and no doubt i'll be coming on here all the time asking for all your opinions all the time!!!!
clare-enjoy your day trip. you should come out to the dandenongs one day, it's soooo pretty you won't want to leave.
oz- have you tried putting L to bed later? i put L to bed at 9.30pm now most nights so that i can get a sleep-in.
so what are people getting the kids for xmas this year? i haven't done any xmas shopping yet! looks like my kids will be getting ange's play-gym for their xmas present LOL
Oz: Hot, still nights are hard huh? and so true, L always wakes a bit earlier if it is hot...
G: ohhh i would LOVE to go up there for a day trip! i'll try and wrangle DH for next weekend...
that is good news about L going back for day sleeps again...i really think miss L also still needs them.
AFM: well we ended up doing a lovely round trip up through whittlesea and kinglake, back through hurstbridge and then stopped off at a friends house in heidelberg! so heaps of driving! i have to add that the bakery at kinglake makes a mean coffee and pepper steak pie! no wonder it was packed out! and they provide toys for the kidlets...of course the most exciting thing for all of them though was the ramp LOL!
we also got to see MEGA huge kangaroos...leila was yelling out: 'ROO ROO ROO!!' til they all scampered away LOL!
Ginger, OMG about #3!!! You got clucky again when L was about J's age too lol - should we be expecting an announcement soon?
Ange, hope all is going well with the shifting and with your brother
MM, W has been hit and miss with day naps for about the last 6 months. Sometimes he will go for a week with none, other times he has one every day. The health nurse said they sometimes look like they are dropping naps around the two year mark and then pick them back up and continue for a while longer.
Clare, sounds like your day trip was fun. You are soooo wrong about Jacob, it is Edward all the way!!! I don't think I will watch the movies though, I hate it when they don't stick to the book eg every Stephen King novel-turned-movie.
MP, sleep is o.k here - A was doing all nighters until the last few days but I think she is having the 12 week growth spurt. W was also doing all night, but he has started waking up at least once and occasional night tantrums again.
MD, H sounds so much like me as a kid lol
I am soooo sick of tantrums. I am glad every one else is getting them too - I was starting to wonder what massive f-up we had made to have such a terror of a kid. I am about ready to declare the first pancake a write-off and try harder next time lol. Seriously, it is bad. I have to force myself to spend any time with him because I know that it is all going to go south very quickly anyway.
We went to Taupo yesterday which is 1.5 hours away. W purposely squealed and yelled until A woke, so I sat squished in the back to keep her happy, then he had a massive tanty which made her cry so we had to pull over and wait it out. Then I was supposed to be clothes shopping but quickly came to the depressing realisation that I am too fat to fit anything decent. I ended up crying in a dressing room when the size 16 pants wouldn't even fit on my thigh. I have no idea where to get fat clothes from that don't look like a floral tent. Then on the way home there was a repeat of the trip up - took us an hour to travel what should have taken 20 minutes. Every time I got A to sleep and back in the car seat W would wake her up and she would cry again. In the end () we gave up and drove the last 10 minutes with me holding A.
Arte - hugs.. Sorry u had such a rough time.. Im finding it much harder this time round to lose the weight too.. Oh and tanties I don't believe how horrible A can be sometimes!! I often find myself feeling like she's awful and W is easy which is horrible and I try not to but it just ends up feeling that way..
As for day sleeps ashas still having them.. Every now and then she dosnt sleep and its awful! She still reallu needs a sleep! Sleep has become a nightmare here coz its been a few hot weeks and some days she's been allowed to lay on the lounge to fall asleep coz its just been too hot so now there's lots of tanties at bedtime anyway enough winging!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!! We put the chrisi tree up early hehe
Just thought I'd pop in and catch up. Tough luck on the catch up tho...chatterboxes
I had a quick skim but have forgotten most so will endeavour to stay caught up...goodness I am so tired but when ever I go to bed I can't fall asleep, then S gets up with the sun. Too little sleep makes mummy cranky. DH is away working again so no break there, so thank god for MIL. She took S this weekend for me and I didn't get her back til this arvo...missed her like crazy (until she walked up the stairs and promptly cracked a tanty for some unknown reason. Ahhh...sweet toddlerdom!
arte- i had to laugh at your pancake comment! i always love the first pancake cos it's so buttery that it's disgusting, dh always writes it off LOL
no don't be expecting any announcement from here anytime soon. it's still very much being used as leverage by dh to get us to move to sydney, as well as many other promises which are starting to sound very appealing to me, i must admit. i wouldn't even attempt to ttc#3 until j's 3rd b'day anyway, i need some sleep!
um, as for fat clothes, i'm totally still in the leggings phase. you can't go wrong with black leggings and loose tops/dresses i reckon.
is W trying to wake A up on purpose?
good news is i'm making an appointment today to go to a day spa with my friend next sat for some pampering. can't wait!!
Congrats to Clare for the winning photo entry!!!! Love it!!
Ginger, wow on the crawling! These second babies are growing way too fast! Yes, W wakes A up on purpose, he squeals, looks to see if it has worked and then goes again. Very frustrating. Yay for the spa. I have never been to any sort of pampering thing.
MD, did you get some pumpkins? There is something that I keep meaning to say/ask but every time I sit down at the comp I can't remember what it is. I guess it will come to me eventually (and be weeks late and irrelevant lol)
I have realised that all W's Christmas presents are Cars merchandise lol. Might get him some duplo or something but I keep having pangs of guilt for buying into the commercialism of Christmas - buying things for the sake of buying things iykwim?
