You are soooo wrong about Jacob, it is Edward all the way!!! I don't think I will watch the movies though, I hate it when they don't stick to the book eg every Stephen King novel-turned-movie.
Arte: i am with you really. as far as the original text of the books go, i will always be team Edward. it's just that Rob Pattison who plays edward in the films is skin crawlingly gross. and he plays the character as morbidly depressed, so any dialogue between him and bella is painful. so i needed to have an outlet for a girly crush and honed in on the buff Jacob LOL!

that car trip sounded horrendous! and shopping for clothes afer that kind of trip was soo not going to end well babe lol!

G: three is a nice gap! (at least this is what i am trying to tell myself LOL!).

oh darn it, i forgot everything else! oh oh, but i did win the monthly photo comp!! how cool is that?!

    ok, did another skim...

G: so so jealous of the spa! i always say that i want to go and never do! you guys have nice ones around there huh?!

Kate: ohh i hate it too when i have moments of insomnia! then i only seem to fall asleep a couple of hours before DD wakes up.... chamomile and honey can be nice for that...

Noni: he he! we also put up our tree! i was impatient lol!

the theme this month was 'landscape'. we had a few from our italy trip to choose from, but i remember Jaz mentioning that she like the light and colour of this one when it was on FB...so thought that there might be something in it LOL!

Christmas - I have totally gone overboard!! I'm just looking forward to how excited she is going to be with everything! So far she is getting:
    - 150 wooden blocks
    - Set of 40 little Thomas books
    - flip out sofa
    - Celebration Mr Potato Head
    - Blinky Bill book
    - clothes
    - the most gorgeous wooden doll cradle that she is going to go ape over! (and I bought a very similar bed for my niece too)
then I have a stack of little things for her stocking (playdoh tools, plastic jewellery, crafty things, sand pit things). She is going to be spoilt. And I am too scared to check the credit card statement after my weekend in Canberra!

Ginger - I would go for Melbourne, but then I have dealt with Sydney and wouldn't want to go back whereas I really haven't experienced Melbourne. Wish I could go to a spa!!

MP - did N enjoy Playschool? K really wasn't very sure about it all. She only got into a couple of songs.

    Clare - gorgeous pic!!

Doing our tree this weekend - will be so much fun!

Arte - I am still on the hunt for giant pumpkins, they haven't been in stock when I tried. Will plant our butternuts this weekend (hopefully).

DH is working from home for the next fortnight (yes could be tricky as he is a teacher - lol!). Normally he gets all term to do the timetable and this year he is getting less than three weeks which is just ridiculous. Last week he was flat out with only 4 hours sleep a night getting everything else finished because the other staff keep bothering him with stupid questions so hopefully he will be a bit more human this week with some more sleep! Fingers crossed it all goes well! He's also forgoing cricket for a fortnight - pretty impressive after his 219 not out on Saturday - at least the $800 bat has finally started working!

Congrats on that pic Cassius...it is stunning! I must try that chamomile and honey. Anything to knock me off to sleep hehe.

Art - you are so not alone in the tanty stage with our brats..I mean, kids lol. Sarahs are amazing but frustrating.

Cally - I'm glad the bat has paid off...for that money you'd want it to hit a few centurys lol

Ginger - I am so jealous of the dayspa...I want to book in for at least a pedi this week but will see how i go time wise.

Cally - I am not going to even list what we've got for S. There are some things that are left over from her bday. I thought she had enough then so didn't give them to her. Then there are some things that I got thru chrisco, plus a few things that I've grabbed along the way. Then on top of all that...I saw the Aldi catalogue yesterday! Has anyone else seen the gorgeous wooden market stall for $69? I'm loving it and can't stop thinking about it So spoiled miss might be very lucky this year (like thats any different from any other year lol)

I thought I'd also pop on and share with you girls before many others know...Sarahs going to be a big sister next year. Due early August, so very early on but sort of had an inkling as soon as it happened. I had that HSG (dye thru the tubes to clear out and check for blockages) as well as starting clomid. DH was lucky enough to be able to time his visit back and make it last long enough to do the job.
(Oh, and shhh on facebook pls *wink*)

Oh Kate, how exciting, congratulations sweetie and wishing you ! Well done on the sweet timing

Cally, I think K's gonna have an amazing Christmas! Missy E's getting her kitchen that we didn't end up giving her at her birthday, along with some saucepans & food, and a wooden train set. I've got a few books and a packet of textas as well. Missy E would love a little dolly cradle (where did you find yours?) but I think her aunty might be on the trail of a dolly bed for her.

Clare, congrats on the winning photo - that would be a great one to frame. It has pictorial value, kwim?

Sorry gals, I'm team Jacob. Just can't get with the cold-as-marble thing at all. BTW Edward Cullen IS morbidly depressed in the novel, can't see that's a point of difference with the movie at all.

Arte, really wanted ot give you some hugs & reassurance. You're doing a great job. Toddlers are really contrary, and I would imagine W is harder to distract (having a good memory) so - hang in there with your first pancake!

Katie, I didn't make it past the door - took one look and walked out again LOL.

Well I'm "right out there" this week - frantic to get everything done by the weekend but not in a state of mind to concentrate to do it. Have to keep reminding myself I"m the only person in the universe who expects me to do any of this stuff On friday we have DH's work christmas treat for the kids, DD1 has decided she'd prefer to go on her class excursion but I"m sure MIssy E will have a blast. Fun fun fun.

MD - I totally know that feeling, DH gets annoyed with me rushing around to do things that I am the only one that wants it to be done. Take a deep breath!!

Kate - yes I saw the market stand!! Am so tempted, but so conscious that we do not have room for all this stuff in our house! and of course a huge
    CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Just spent an hour and half at the doctors. BORING!!

Congratulation Kate! How exciting. I hope this is the start of the next wave of psuedo-september bubs

MD, I remembered what I was going to say (at 3.30 in the am no less).... that yes, you do wear it well. I was surprised when I first saw a pic of you - you are nowhere near as big as you think (unless you carefully select your FB pics like I do lol)

My complaint with movie Edward Vs in-my-head Edward is that my Ed is way better looking - the movie actor has a sinister I-kill-small-animals-for-fun look about him.

First of December!!! Time to put up your Christmas trees!!

ETA, my great-grandmother wrote back to me and she is happy that we gave her name as a middle name for Amelia.

Hey everyone! I've been reading but just not posting and I know that is terribly remiss of me to do that.

Arte, no it's NOT time to put up the tree LOL. I always wait till the last day of school to do it so DH doesn't have to suffer it for too long. Sorry to hear that W is having some major tantrum issues He's a bright enough boy that if you explained that if he wakes A up, that means that you can't do fun things with him on his own because you have to put A back to sleep. I don't normally like to say that, because it can pit one against the other kwim but I think at this stage it might be the only way to solve the issue of him screaming to wake her up.

MD, You will be fine and you'll get through the next few days OK? We have DH's work Christmas party on Sat and the kids are so excited.

Kate, you're a sneaky bugger But I am so happy for you, after all you two have been through it's so wonderful to hear that you have come through it to get to this point.

woohhhhhoooooo!! congrats to kate, how wonderfully exciting!
yes i saw the market stall too, it's way too cute. i think you'll have to purchase.

cally- what an awesome xmas list. you've done so well! is your dh the daily organiser at his school? i think that would have to be one of the worst jobs!

it's very strange having 2 kids on the move now, i have to watch them like hawks! plus lewis has been going around using things to help him get things that are out of reach. he turns the bin upside down and stands on it so he can reach the chocolates in teh pantry and then unwraps one and takes it in and gives it to jimmy! i come around the corner and jimmy is completely covered in chocolate, clapping his hands, thinking it's the best thing ever! they are such ratbags,

    Hi girls!

Sherie: ah, dont worry too much! i have moments of just lurking too...although you wouldnt tell LOL!

    Kate: congrats babe!

MD: breathe sista breathe, it'll all fall into place...and the chrissy treat does sound like fun for the kids. i remember similar kind of things when i was kid. LOVED IT.

Arte: yeah movie edward is a bit butt looking IMO lol.

Cally: one hour and half? gosh, and i bet you only saw them for all of like 10 minutes always the way. hope all is good though.

AFM: not much to report. still plugging along. that said, we did go out for brekkie in richmond at this cute little cafe that i frequent every now and then...and got some decent EYE CANDY action. the whole Richmond team arrived just after us and were all sweaty and manly from a training session!!!!! so cool. not that i know any of them, except that i recognise faces etc from the telly.

    But I bet it's cute G

Cally, I got those Thomas books for Alister too - got a huge bargain on them and only paid $25 at target ages ago.

We weren't doing a lot for Christmas as they are getting the cubby house and L is getting the motorbike, so it's one thing under the tree only and then small stocking fillers.
