i am soooo clucky, it's insane.
seriousley though, nothing is happening anytime soon. i promise! we've gotta get this house sold before i even think about it.
so there was 20 months between #1 and #2 and 20 months between #2 and #3? WOW! i didn't realise that! i thought there was a bit longer between the girls!
i've gotta stop this clucking, i think my first AF must be on the way.....that would explain it yeah?
-
G and Arte: thanks for the chook info. that sounds doable for us. we are getting in some grass soon though, so will wait for that to take off and be strong enough to cope with chooks digging it up everywhere first...i remember our place in QLD fast becoming a dustbowl what with their digging...
MD: you MUST post a pic of the hair! sounds pretty pretty awesome!
-
Just so long as you don't start feeling crook again ;) I think it is just your AF - or even ovulation doing it to you. Plus your Baby isn't so much of a baby anymore and I always started feeling clucky when they got to a certain age and were more like little people than little babies. And yep - 20mths between them. Lindsay was Feb 01, Erin was Oct 02 and Paige was June 04.
Oh yeah Cally, the books were massively reduced because it was just before they did another toy sale and I think they wanted to clean out the stuff they already had. Plus it looked like the boxed had been dropped on one corner too as it's a bit squished. Not sure if he will get it for Christmas or I will just pull out a few new books every now and then.
I forgot to say we are going to see the Banana's in Pyjamas LOL. Its part of the town Christmas celebrations and all it costs is a gold coin donation to get in. So I am taking the little two as the big two will be at school that day. It should be fun. Alister is super excited about it. And we are heading down Cally's way for 3 days too - leaving Sunday. We are off to Merry Beach, but because it's only a short trip I don't think I will manage a meet up.
-
MD - loving the hot stuff Av...woot woo..hot mumma! Can't wait to see pics of your new hairdo...I so want to get mine done soon. Always great for a pick me up...and you deserve one of those
Cally - I am still dying for that wooden Aldi stand but DH has said she has got enough...blah, blah, blah.... Might just ring the grandparents and see if they have something in mind for DD lol. Has that pesky tooth come thru yet? Hopefully everything settles when it does
Noni - Hows W sleeping and teething going? And I hope A is feeling heaps better. Loving your av too...another hot mumma!
Arte - I love that you used your grandmothers name...I bet she would have been even more pleased then she let on. My nans name is Norma and my grandma is Joyce...don't see those being used anytime soon lol
Ginger - how sweet of your boys to gang up against you already! Partners in crime lol
Cassius - I think every meal needs dessert and those footy players would have been just right  num num num. You gave me a giggle about the market stall dream..although it would have been more a nightmare surely...hehe
MP - How was your melb trip? get what was needed accompolished
Oz - Z is just exerting her place in the family early on, shes got to beat the boys and the farting game now!
Trillian - nice work on the girls avs..might have to get mine tweaked a bit soon ;). And Bananas sounds awesome...hope A loves it and rocks out.
Thank you for all your congratulations...it has been a rough few months but we've gotten thru it and am going to continue to work on it. Esp during the next 8 hormonal months lol. I'm actually feeling not bad...night times after dinner are not pleasant however. I think I'm getting my heartburn/reflux super early on, bit of discomfort but not too bad. Haven't been to the doctor yet, but will go next week perhaps and ask for a scan. Not that i don't know the dates but just cos I want a pic so its more real.
S has been an absolute feral lately. She cracked the worst tantrum ever on tuesday and I ended up having to close the door on her and leaving her in her room to cry herself to sleep. I knew she was super tired but she was refusing everything, I don't think even she knew what she wanted. She only lasted about 10mins tops of screaming before I found her passed out on the floor. I felt terrible having to do it, but I just had nothing else up my sleeve to please her.
Hi to anyone I missed and fingers crossed for a great nights sleep all round to all
-
Congratulations Kate!!!!!!
MD - Yayyy for getting your hair done, always makes you feel good about yourself.
Trill - Banana's will be great, A will love it! Gosh you would have been one busy busy mama when your eldest 3 were younger.
Clare - Awww you poor thing, nothing worse than getting your hopes up only for evil AF to bring you right back down again. I so know that feeling & its horrible. I hope you get your bfp soon.
Arte - Thats lovely that you used your grandma's name, i'm sure she was very pleased.
Ginger - Something tells me you wont be able to wait that long for #3!!! ;)
Noni - Hope A is better soon, must have a gastro bug??
Oz - It always puzzles me how they can be up at the crack of dawn running a muck with seemingly endless energy!!
Girls I got tickets to Hi 5's concert next yr, M will be very impressed. I also took her to the dr today, as she has had a horrible cough for two wks that isnt budging & I actually had a lady at the shops say to me 'that child should be in hospital', much to my horror. I quizzed the dr as to why M can catch a common cold & end up with such a terrible sounding persistent cough. Turns out it is probably asthma related, it is in my side of the family, asthma nearly killed my sister as a child & my mum also has it. This child of mine is in the wars I tell you.
-
MM, poor Maddie! She really does seem to catch everything going! Is there any sort of immune booster suppliments that you could give to her?
Kate, W has been shut in his room on a regular basis lately. I hate doing it but we have nothing else - don't want to hit him and I can't think of any other form of punishment. He has 1-2 minute time outs in there during the day, and if he keeps coming out of bed at night and tantruming then we leave him in for 5ish minutes at a go, then check on him. I don't really think it is the right thing to do, but we are so stuck for ideas.
Trill, I have tried to explain to W that if he squeals that A will wake and we won't be able to play just the two of us. So far it has been met every time with... another squeal. Grrr.
Cally, where is your Avvy? I have been waiting to see it. Some emails got lost in the server change over too, so if you have sent the email but no reply it might be lost in the ether.
-
Haha she is on every kind of immune booster I can get, I should own shares in chemmart.
-
OMG, W just shut his door and then locked it (should have replaced the stupid lockable knob ages ago). Now he is stuck in there. DH is on his way home but it is looking like we will have to break the door down. I heard yawning before and nothing since, so I think he has gone to sleep.
Come on DH....
-
All fixed and he is still asleep
-
MM, pm me when you buy your shares in chemmart (I already own 49% of the company). I reckon if we get together we'll have a big enough interest to launch a corporate takeover
OK, back from hairdresser - looks fabulous (I think) but I'm a little disappointed because she baulked at doing my hair all over - thinks my scalp might still be too sensitive. So I've got luuurvely foils all over blond and a big splash of copper near the front. :D Just not as blond and suntanned as my avvy LOL.
Arte I replied in your other thread, sorry but I'm sitting her cacking myself laughing at the hilarious irony - after all the torment you went thru to get him sleeping in his own bed, that first opportunity he gets alone in his room and he's in there in BED asleep .
Ah, can't remember a thing, someone asked a q that I was going to answer but I'd better nick off, taking Bosty Fluffychops for his radical poochy makeover. I've taken the before photos already. :)
-
hi girls
just got back from taking the boys swimming. they had an absolute ball.
i don't wanna jinx things, but has anyone else noticed their toddler seems to have turned a bit of a corner behaviourly? lewis has been such a pleasure over the last couple of weeks. seems to be listening a lot more and really starting to grow up- not as much of a destructive monster iykwim?
-
Trill - shame it's such a quick trip.
Arte - has DH fixed the locks now? At least he went off to sleep while locked in his room. Re Avatar, I haven't sent anything in yet, I've started drafting the email, but I tend to check BB at work and for some unknown reason think that I need to send the email from my home address so I keep forgetting.
Md - are you going to put photos up of the new you?
kate - Oh, grandparents for the market stall, should check if MIL has bought anything yet.
-
MD, I know!! I was thinking the same - after all the dramas he just hopped in bed while I was on the phone to DH and went to sleep. No bottle, no glow-bug, no hotwater bottle, just sleep! Bet your hair looks great. I wish I had the courage to do something cool with mine. I was going to suggest that MM go to your naturopath, but then I remembered that they are sunning themselves in the tropics on your coin lol
Ginger, we are the opposite here. W was never destructive and disobedient until the past couple of months. It is a huge shock to the system because he was always so pleasant and well behaved before - well, he still had tantrums but at least he did what I said and didn't break stuff.
-
hi everyone
hurray - my laptop is baaaaack - so you will see so am I!!!
MD - woo hoo on the hairdo - pics on our fb page please! i dont think i ever said a huge contrats on your scan results - i am so delighted for you.
Arte - lol at the story though i can imagine how scary it was at the time, i lost sight of N for about 30 secs the other day (and he was with his great aunt playing) and i freaked - had that heart thumping panic feeling.. can only imagine the feeling when you realised he had locked the door
MM - poor Maddie. how did they diagnose the asthma? dont freak too much about it. we are investigating this for N too, just bc he has had a bad cough (only at night) for about 2 wks now (otherwise fine) and i had childhood asthma - it usually takes a long time to get a diagnosis...
Cally - I'll be at the coast again ina couple of weeks.. in mollymook this time so not so easy... but maybe we can meet at the zoo or something as i am sure we will make a trip there at some pt.
Ginger - cluck cluck cluck...
N is pretty delightful atm... aside from days here and there (like yest LOL). he has never beena major tantrumer - touch wood! he is getting v daring physically though...
We tried J on solids this morning - jus ta little bit of bellamys rice cereal and apple, he didnt wolf it down but liked it i think... it was fun to do esp as it was while the 3 of us were having our breakfast.
I went to the nurse this morning - a few concern re J. his sleep has gone down the drain - he wakes about every 90 mins overnight and i feed back to sleep... but he self settles in the daya nd when he goes down at night. she suggested i up his calorie intake in the day to see if this helps so trying to get more bf into him and she also said to do another solid feed (he took 1 tsp lol) around lunch time in the next little bit and see how that goes... she thought i may be needing to eat/drink more too... hmmmmm
also he has v stiff arms/legs so she has referred me to a physio about that... i brought it up bc he isnt rolling... i guess slow like his bro! she said she wouldnt worry about that for aniother month.. anyway will do more to encourage that!
hope you are all well... will keep up more now i promise! xxx
-
MM - Woohoo on the Hi 5 tickets. That sounds great and a betcha M will be shakin her groove thang!
Arte- It does feel terrible having to do it but I can't think of any other way when she behaved like that. Hopefully its a one of but...doubtful . OMG, how scary would that have been!!! Sarahs little friend locked herself in our toilet and I had now way of getting her out. Eventually grabbed a butter knife and started stabbing the lock bit and trying to turn it that one. Luckily it worked cos there was now way we could of gotten her otherwise. The window is tiny and has those little glass slats and its too small a room to break down the door. Must find a key to keep handy for it JIC.
MD - Did Bosty Fluffychops enjoy the hairdresser as much as you did?
Ginger - Oh I wish S was behaving. Shes a good kid usually but when she cracks it, she really cracks it!
Cally - How'd you go hitting up the MIL? I was sh*t outta luck. The olds had already brought her stuff...oh well, hopefully something just as cute or better is available when I start thinking about S 3rd bday!
MP - Wow, J on solids already. Where does the time go? I hope all is well at the Physio
-
Kate-oh my goodness, congrats I just saw ur signature with the BFP!! I am so excited for u. I am due end of July so I am really happy someone in my original thread is about the same wks! Good on ya!!!
MD-LOVE ur new av. its very u! Good stuff. I hope u r coping ok.
AFM: been struggling with a bit o' ms. Should b getting ready for work today. MIL has T today, so I should get going.
-
G we too seem to be the opposite behaviour wise, L is a good boy usually but lately has been quite trying lol, it doesnt help that he gets up so early so I am less tolerant.
MD your hair sounds great, I would love a trip to the hairdressers.
Arte gosh that would have been scary but I had a little giggle too sorry.
Supa bummer about the ms hopefully it passes quickly.
MP oh solids already, they grow top quickly.
MM nice work with the hi 5 tickets, I can see M dancing up a storm now.
I dont know if you seen my latest FB status with the message to L from Santa? You should all do one I think it's awesome. Not sure if I can post the link here or not.
-
Hi girls!
Arte: :o i woulda totally freaked when i couldnt of opened his door!! that said, our neighbour is a locksmith...and has already had to open the front door for us LOL!
SupaB: hopefully the morn.s will pass quickly for you!
MM: so they are pretty certain that she has asthma? poor wee thing, but i guess at least it could provide some answers and plans of action for when she is getting sick.
MP: wow! J on solids!! cannae believe it! is it true that now they have changed the recommended age of solids back down to 4 months? a girl in my MG was told this at her MACH nurse meeting last week.
Ginger: yeah, we have noticed Leila has kinda turned a corner behaviour wise. we had a few *interesting* months of tantrums and the like, and although she has her moments or off days there is a change in that her communication and imaginative play is keeping her a bit more balanced mood wise. she now disappears into her room for well over an hour at a time to play with her dollies or trains. and it is a joy to hear her chattering away and obviously having a ball!
MD: how did fluffychops go?!!
AFM: all good here overall. we went to the neighbours last night and didnt get home til 9pm. Leila coped really well and just played and played and played. the little boy has just turned 3 and has HEAPS of cars!! but her fav toy was the john deere ride on tractor that he had, so funny to see her getting around on it LOL!
decided to take the day off work as i have a pretty full on head cold ATM and thought it would be good to have a day to veg out and try to kick it...
-
Cassius - oh u lucky duck having the day off, isn't it a great feeling bumming around. had a few of these days lately.:shakehead: i have a bit of a head cold too. must b goin' round. T too loves cars trucks, frogs and lizards ha ha.
Ozstar - thanks. what's ya FB name?
Arte - i would have freaked out too! you would have taken the door off eventually hey. i was wondering the other day what i'd do if DD locked herself in the car with the keys in there. yikes! will have to start teaching her how to 'unlock door'. ha ha.
MM - asthma. gee, how can they tell?
MP - 4 months already! wow little J is growing up!
-
Supa I pm'd my FB details to you.
Clare hope your head cold passes soon. Are you all vegged out?
both kids are in bed and the house is soooo quiet. I should be in cleaning up the studio as I have two jobs tomorrow. I thought of something this morning I wanted to ask your opinions on and for the life of me I cant remember what it was lol, dont you hate that. It will come to me I am sure.
-
hey all :)
oz - lol i have such a bad memory lately too!
supa - i think j is 5mths now, william is 4 haha cant believe it theyve grown up so quick!! ash loves cars and dinosaurs haha but she does also love playing with her dollys.. hope ur feeling better soon!
clare - i hadnt heard about the recommended age changing.. i give w small pieces of fruit in one of those mesh bags and rusks coz he is teething n it seems to help.. cant really be bothered with much else atm lol is that bad? hope ur feeling better soon too!
as for behaviour ashas very up and down.. sometimes she can be absolutely horrible!! but other times shes just off playing by herself.. shes got a very good imagination which helps :)
hope everyones having a good day :)
-
yep J will be 5 months tomorrow - i cant believe it! We gave him some more rice cereal and apple this morning which he liked i think - but i wonder if he is having a little reaction - few excema spots... hmmmm. i fed him more (bf) yest but his sleep wasnt much better... i want that to be the solution LOL - i just cant feed every 90 mins..
girls one of my best friends jyst had her 3rd miscarriage (this yr) - they are trying for their 2nd... id ont know what to do for her or say... advice?
spent this morning at the pool - fun... N had a great time. now planning what to do this afternoon when he wakes up.
Noni - wow on W teething...
My MACH nurse and pead told me the recommendations have chgd slightly - and that they are happy b/n 4 and 6 months. the main thig seems to be that there is no evidence that adelay helps with allergies and my paed actually wanted me to start a little earlier due to a risk of allergies.. confusing as it chgs all the time so i am just doing roughly what i did with N and J seemed ready...
-
hi girls
i didn't start j on solids till 6.5 months- he just wasn't ready. even now he is not a very big eater- would much prefer a breastfeed.
mp- no advice on the miscarriage thing here, it's so hard to watch someone going through it isn't it? i really hope it works out for her soon
just got back from MG meet-up. unfortunately it was at a playground next to a lake- which i absolutely hate because i can't relax the whole time i'm there- i'm so paranoid! i come back all wound up tight in my shoulders from stressing. not enjoyable at all! i think it's ok for some of the other mums as their kids tend to hang around where they are but L is so independant and loves to go off exploring and finding mischief. i ended up being the first one to leave as i just couldn't handle it anymore. they probably all think i'm crazy, but i don't care.
-
Noni- your AV is so cool too, like MD's. it looks like you too! ha ha. wow, i think i am the only one without an av
-
supa - i wouldnt have one if it werent for my mystery person :) someone gave me platinum membership, wouldnt have afforded it otherwise.. its funny how much it looks like me.. trill did have the added advantage of seeing pics of me before designing it ;)
i think solids are really a when theyre ready thing i mean within reason.. i remember giving asha solids at 2mths (plain rice cereal) coz i thought it would help with the reflux and it kinda did but in hindsight it was way to early.. just takin it easy with W hes only just starting to sit in his high chair and i think hes a while off anything except tasting little bits of fruit and chomping on teething rusks.. i get so confused with the recomendations changing all the time.. last i heard they were about to change food labels so nothing said 4mths and now its back at 4 - 6mths again.. alot of the baby foods say 4 - 6 as well :( why do they have to confuse us so much!!
-
dh is out tonight so its just the kiddies n i.. so bored!! i wish i had a life!! hahaha
-
Ozstar-thanks, I had a look but couldn't see much other than that beautiful pic of ur two lovely babies, how cute r they???? Owww.
Noni-that's so fantastic that somebody gave u platinum! Wow! Do u receive anything else other than an av with platinum, opps sorry wrong thread I guess.
Yes the always controversial 'when to start solids' arises again. My friend started her super-hungry boy on solids at 4 mths and I was wondering what she was doing, but he seems to love it and is hungry for it. All kids r diff. T was only full on for bf until right up to 6 mths when I introd rice cereal. She STILL goes crazy over 'mulk', blanket and dummy. I think she is teething as she bites the dummy on the side with the back of her mouth. It has a hole but she still doesn't mind the airy type snort of the dummy does when she sucks it.
-
Supa - why thank you- glad you think my avvy is so spot on - I love its vibe. Trill did such a great job!
Clare, ahahahahahahaha - I'm still laughing. I went to pick him up and the lady was sitting there patting this dog...he was the only dog there...and I suddenly realised this strange creature was our Bosty! Not Fluffychops anymore!!! When I dropped him off he looked like a dirty off-white fluffy maltese but now he's a brown shorthair daschund. OMG it's hilarious. DH told DD1 I went crazy and bought a new dog at the RSPCA and she totally fell for it...she was oohing and aahing and saying oh what's its name..??? I'm hoping to sit down and do some photo organising tonight so when I do I'll post some pics to facebook. Before and after! Even scarier, without his hair he's exactly the same shape & proportions of our old dog Beags who was one-of-a-kind mystery parentage (only a smaller version). FREAKY!!
-
its been plague house here :( asha got better after her vomiting and then yesterday billy got really cranky and was projectile vomiting.. i had dioreah(sp?) all day and only managed to eat 2 pieces of toast all day and got really dehydrated... i feel a bit better today but still really dizzy.. think its from the dehydration so will try to drink lots today.. on the plus side i lost a kilo and a half lmao!!
joined ww online recently and have had trouble sticking to it.. got a message this morning about SIL (theyre not married but theyre family) wanting me to go with her.. gonna try and convince her to do online with me and come round for the support since she drives and im often lonely here.. see how it goes.. either way ill have someone else whos doing it to talk to about it.. i wanted to go back to meetings but online is so much cheaper!!
dh is still in bed.. he had the biggest sulk yesterday coz i slept alot of the day and he was tired (he was tired coz he had his work xmas party the night before and then stayed up late afterwards with a friend) ughh i was so annoyed not like i enjoy being sick! have left him in bed this morning coz im feeling a bit better and cant be bothered dealing with him b**ch about how he never gets to sleep in!
supa - u also get an email i think and a blog or something.. access to members only forums and support i havnt looked into it heaps yet been pretty busy..
hope everyones having a great weekend!!
-
Hi girls!
MD: wow! that is some makeover of ol' bosty! sooo funny that H fell for it....ahh a girl just like me (i was the chick that would check my hand for 'gullible' when my friends told me it was tatooed on there lol!!!).
Noni:  so so sucky when you get sick like that. hopefully it will pass soon and that DH will give you a break sometime soon!
MP: well, as a girl who has faced quite a few m/c's i tend to just have a cry, lick my wounds and keep on going. i dont really tell anyone anymore as it is quite emotionally draining. all i can say is to not say the obvious: things like...'it wasnt meant to be', obviously the baby wasn't healthy' blah blah blah. they get my goat and it is one of the reasons why i dont bother telling anyone. i have to say that for me, distraction and 'normal' stuff is the best. so i drag my sorry bum to MG and have a good time and NOT think about it. so i guess as a friend, unless she brings it up and is after comfort, just be there for her as company and a friendly face ITMS. hth...
Ginger: oh i hear ya! leila is horrendous at the 'dare-devil' activities! whenever our MG get together and go to the park, i find i slowly but surely get really wound up as L is jumping OFF the slide (first she hangs off the bars above ). all their kids seem to play quite normally (ie not stretching the limits of the playground equipment usage LOL!). always relieved when we head off to the cafe with the ENCLOSED courtyard lol!
Oz: totally vegged out on Friday. it was blissful. it was ages since i had a day alone by myself, and it was sooo healing! felt alot better the next day as i just ended up sleeping the whole time (especially when i realised there was no oprah but some stupid golf on!).
AFM: well today was fun! we had our MG christmas brunch in the park...leila did her usual trick of leading the kidlets astray to the BIG FRIKKIN slide (one that is so high that you cant reach the kids at the top). but lots of food and lots of sun and lots fun. Leila is all tuckered out. she had a pretty bad fall though...smashed her face from a seat onto the concrete. so has a big scrape on her chin, phat lip and bleeding gums. everything is in place though and the ice-cube worked wonders.
-
Clare, I didn't realise that you had had quite a few miscarriages. Our thread seems to be on another roll of announcements, I really hope that I hear yours soon.
MD, good luck tomorrow, see you on the flip side with your new and improved lefty nicely fitted.
Will post more when I get a chance - seems like I am forever alternating children. As soon as one goes for a nap the other wakes...
Better go, Miss A is squawking
-
hugs clare- thanks for the advice... she is one of my oldest and best friends (MC'd my wedding etc) - so i think i will def speak to her about it but also be there for her to relax with etc. it is heartbreaking. i hope it is your time soon lovely...
MD - best of luck today... i am thinking of you
Noni - hope you are all feelng better. we are also all sick, noah still coughs all night and now the rest of us are sick too. making a family dr appt soon as i think we all need to get on top of it.
we are taking n to the wiggles concert this wed - cant wait he is going to be SO excited! i ahve taken him to 2 concerts so far (justine clarke and playschool) and he just goes off!!! so this will be EXCITING forhim.
just realised he has this week and next at kindy and then 5 wks at home with me - holidays etc... YAY!
-
Hi girls!
Arte: thanks babe xx I know it will come eventually...
MP: ah well, in that case, seeing as she is a really close friend, then yeah, confidante is really precious! all i can offer in that case is that she'll prolly just want someone (like you!) to also recognise that each pregnancy was real. it might be something that her DH doesnt quite get the way us girls do ITMS!
AFM: pretty Ok here. Leila's mouth and chin is quite sore today, but appears to be clear of infection...the bruise on the inside of her lip is quite impressive. my poor poppet! as a result she had a bit of a shocker with sleep. (well, in fact, she slept relatively fine...it was us that were up cuddling her through the sleep cries....mwah!). have to say that i secretly LOVE it lol!
not much else to report really. DH goes away this thursday and i am a *little* nervous. not so much about the actual time he is going to be away but just with the tiredness that comes with the end of the day IYKWIM. and with no family and friends all doing their thang on the weekend, it could get lonely!
sooo.....do you girls have any ideas of what we can do on the w/e to pass the time?!!!!!!!!!!
-
Good luck for today MD thinking of you xoxoxoxoxo
-
yeah, just saw MDs FB update...
goodluck babe. (and love the sense of humour even in times of hardship...need to steal your quick wit one of these days...).
-
Clare - when DH is away on a weekend I hatee it - i dont want to land myself on my friends who are probably having family time and as you know my family isnt here...
I try to make it really fun for N - so that he doesnt whinge and also to tire him out for a long midday nap and a good sleep at night. and i treat us both...
so some ideas:
Scienceworks
Aquarium
(mum took N to these both last week and both were a hit)
Good play at the park at the MCG followed by lunch at Victoria st
Collingwood farm
Birrarung Mar and lunch in the city
I also do milkshake trips or out for a bubacino and cupcake
do some cooking togther at home
paintings for daddy
i also love taking N on the trams or train in Melb to some of these outings... i also saw there is a boat from the city to scienceworks - could be cool???
-
hope everything went ok today MD xoxoxo
-
Hey girls!
just needing some voices of reason!!
leila and i were sitting on the couch and she was recounting some story about kindy and i noticed when she opened her mouth really wide that i saw a MASSIVE lump on the side of her throat (to the back). i *think* it might be a tonsil, but because it was so huge it is hard to tell...it basically covers half her throat! having a somewhat freakout...it has veiny vessels....
she doesnt appear to be in any pain whatsoever and is eating and drinking as normal.
i will take her to the GP tomorrow, but was hoping to get some insight from you girls....
(sorry for the selfish me post...having palpitations lol!).
-
Sorry Clare, I am no help - I have no idea where tonsils live. I hope she is alright.
Ginger, did you get a cross-trainer? I had one but it didn't survive the trip over to NZ so it sat around for nearly two years until DH took it to the dump a few weeks ago. It was good to use though if you have the time and motivation.
-
Clare - could be the tonsils - i think they look bigger in little ones?? but i am no medico so i guess the gp will have more info.. and if she is eating/drinking as normal and happy she must not be too ill or anything??... dont panic!!
Ginger - we have a treadmill here... i am yet to use it.. but i do say i will each day...
