Ewwww Arte, I didn't realise it stank so much. I have had it in a restaurant, but when you eat it like that, you aren't privvy to the cooking process so it just comes out all nice and cooked with a yummy sauce on it LOL but I totally get that having to cook it yourself and smell it would influence how it tastes kwim? But that said I didn't really like it like I love my lamb and beef.
G, I don't think it is silly. In metro areas I think it has to be done because there is so much choice but at the same time so much room for good and bad schools kwim? We are so lucky out here that education is really a non-event for us in the choosing of it.
Thanks for the congrats on the mark. With both marks combined it brings me up to a Credit, which is OK, I'm happy with that. However I have just spent the morning editing the next one because it was just crap! We only had one required reading, but the reading was only used as a reference 3 times and there were TWELVE references from outside sources? It was just quote after quote with the only original stuff being words to link them all up so I used my tactful voice and told them as much and re did it LOL. The don't have to use mine either, but at least they can use it for comparison and make the response better kwim? Plus it was full of personal pronouns which we can't use in academic writing and would get reamed for it if we left them in.
G: nooo dont tell me what happened on Big Love we dont get SBS here so i need to wait until i get it on DVD LOL! gosh, it sucks.
we havent really thought about highschool enrolment (DD will go public) but we did ensure that we moved into the 'right' area. so DD will have a choice of 3 top public highschools including the uni of melb program highschool. we also made sure of the move for the primary school that we want to send her too and will be enrolling her at the first possible moment.
Arte: hmmm see in fiji we just shoved the venison into a lovo (in the ground!). wrapped in banana leaves with some spices so it came out cooked and yummy and no icky gamey smells.
AFM: all good here. a bit stressed about uni as i have to submit a 30,000 word report tomorrow and then defend it in front of a panel next week. not something i am looking forward to as these guys are like totally awesome in their field and well, i am an imposter at best rofl!
leila had us up alot last night as well with bad dreams. poor thing was yelling out 'help me help me' all night so we both felt so terrible that she had to have yucky dreams like that.
There's been two pregnancy announcements amongst my friends in the last few days so I am feeling clucky.
G - I think I just used distraction with K during the day for dropping feeds. I know I was stressing about what was going to happen as she was still on 5-6 per day a month before I was going back to work but it all happened quite easily. With the night time stuff, DH resettled her for the first two nights and then she was fine.
re schools, we are in a rural area, so not a lot of choice - the public schools do better than the private ones most of the time anyway around here. Our decision will mainly be whether to send her to the same school as DH or the other one.
Final Big Love this week!
But I need to do a lot of catching up so lucky you are up to speed MD
Taking Miss K to the doctor this afternoon. She developed a shocking cough late yesterday - she sounds like a seal. She also had a bit laboured breathing when she first woke up this morning.
Cally, it sounds like she could have croup. If she does, it isn't a big drama, just get some redipred from your Dr when you see him and she will be right as rain
Cally =- hope K is ok - what did the dr say?
G - i dont think you are silly to be thinking of it. N and J will prob go to the same school the whole way gthru so i guess we have them enrolled already too (they may also try for melb high oif thats whats takes their fancy at the time). Clare - what is the melb uni high school - sounds interesting
Arte - eeewwwww on venison - i am not a game eater
trill - wtg on the assignment mark - i knew you would do amazingly. v annoying on group work - it is all coming back to me now how annoyed i used to get with it
MD - h0ow are ya sista - you are posting but we arenty getting many MD updates - hope all is good in md land
Cally - hmm clucky... atre you rethinking??
G - no weaning tips... though J has 3-4 o'night plus abput the same in the day so.. pass them on when you hear any good tips! he wont eat solids.. a litytle more if finger foods but, well its a struggle... i am expressing at work plus doing all those feeds... feel like a cow much??? LOL. plus he wotn do bottle, sippy, straw - only a normal cup - you can imagine the mixed feelings when he drinks 50ml EBM and spills 100 in the process of it. he is v independent and quite deterrmined... where did he get that from???
N is in ther 3-4 yo room at creche and LOVING it. he is growing up before my eyes. now knows his left and right and tells me which day of the week it is.
Arte - how is W's behaviour now?
G - did you stop gymbaroo?
better go - life is so crazy right now...back to work tomorrow. xxx
Cally, do you think you might be tempted to travel the baby road again? ATM I am leaning towards no more, I am not a fan of this stay at home thing.
Ginger, I don't think schools here have such crazy waiting lists, but we have considered schooling. There is a primary school in this town but it is terrible - a decile 0 (worst possible grade) and the last ERO report said that the school couldn't guarantee the safety of the students! The other day I was at the daycare which backs onto the school and I saw a teacher wrestle a student that was punching and kicking her and after she dragged him off about 5 kids closed in on his friend who had a go at them. Luckily the next town over has a really good primary school but we will have to leave the area before high school since there is only one and all the rough kids from this town have to go there so it isn't very good - most of the decent kids get sent to boarding school.
MP, W's behaviour seems to have evened out a lot, thank goodness.
Clare, good luck for your report! I am sure you will do well.
We only have the venison because DH shot it and wanted to eat it - he likes it. I have tried really hard, but it just isn't my thing. Restaurant venison is nicer, I think it is farmed rather than wild though.
