Being in a cot didn't really phase him. I did wonder if we would have trouble getting him to take to a big bed, but when we told him what we were doing, he just said "Can I keep my pillow?" and once we told him yes, that was that, he was OK with it. I think the poor kid thought we were giving everything in the cot to her as well, but when he realised that the blankets and pillow were staying here he was OK. Plus it wasn't really a cot anymore anyway - we hadn't put the side up on it in probably a year, so it was no different to a bed with a safety rail on it I suppose.
