It might be a good idea to start expressing and freezing some milk so that if you have to "pump and dump" for a short time after your surgery you still have some EBM to feed her with. I can't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to keep feeding your DD while you are in hospital, make sure you tell your surgeon and the anaesthetist and everyone you come into contact with that you are breastfeeding so they can tailor the drugs they use specially around that.
