hey Rach, i have no idea.. at least your DR has sent of some blood work for you to rule out any major hormone problems...
I have a problem which is really getting me downIt's been there for nearly a year and I thought I could get it sorted at the Dr's but I went there today and she basically said, nope, nothing she can do...
God this is embarrasing! Ever since DD2 was born I have been sweating a lot "down there" when I go to the gym. I am pretty full on with my exercise so it is a big problem for me. If I wear anything other then certain material in black or white I look like I have wet myself (I have the same problem when I sweat doing low impact exercise so I know it's not leakage!). I hate it and i'm so embarresedOnce I have my Certs in Fitness I really want to teach Group Fitness so it's something I have to get resolved otherwise I really won't be able to do it. I went to the Dr today and she said there was nothing she could do. I thought there were creams or something that you could get but she said no.
I have tried special talc powder but it didn't help at all. My friend once used a roll on deoderant that stopped her sweating under her arms but I don't know if you could use anything like that in your inner thigh.
Has anyone had this? It's been a year, so if it's hormonal like the Dr said then how do I change it? I really hope someone can help because it's really, really getting me down.
Thanks for listening
PS she sent off some of my blood for testing in case it's a symptom of something else but I doubt it because I feel fine.

Maybe try wearing a panty liner?? That might help soak it up and stop it coming through on ur clothes??![]()
And may I ask why you two arent on msn!! Im lonely! lol
I can't wear a panty liner because it comes from the top of my leg iykwim? And also I wear a g-string!
go see another doctor for a second opinion!!! there must be something that can be done!
Rachel the roll on your friend was referring to is probably a product called Driclor. It should be ok to use on your inner thigh.Like anything though if it causes a rash or reaction you may have to stop using it.you can buy it from a pharmacy and the bottle is blue and white..
i got a mineral deoderant once from sexpo in melbourne. It is for downstairs use. Not sure if it just stops smells, or sweating, or both. It was a pump action spray bottle.
It was fragrance free, natural stuff. But i am sorry i can't remember what it was called......![]()
Rachel, if it's hormonal what hormonal changes have occured in your body before it started happening? Are you taking contraception? Was it after your period returned? Or are you still bfing? I have darker pigment spots on my arms because I am still bfing but my ob/gyn says that it'll go away when I stop. Not sure if that helps at all, but if it's hormonal surely there's something that can be done?
PS Don't be embarrassed, I have plenty of friends who are still suffering from incontinence issues almost two years after their child was born. We all know what our bodies do to us for the sake of kids!
Maybe you could try wearing a tennis skirt or similar to cover it.
your not the only one!
And i havent had my baby yet... i have always been a heavey sweater and have used Driclor on and off for years, but it is full of aluminium and it not that great for you so i try not to use it too much (put is great for sweaty armpits!!!)... that being said i wouldnt use it anywhere close to down there, just make sure that you wear the pants that no one can tell - it feel awful too i know but the sweat does need to come out and by blocking it with chemicals you are only going to do more damage than good. (in my opinion)
Hope this helps![]()
Rach stick to your Lorna Jane skirts and you'll be fine!
Yeah, I do wear Skorts but when you're kicking and stepping etc they come up. I have got so many lovely gym clothes (I have an obsession!) that I can't wear. Just bought these lovely aqua skorts with the assistant swearing blind to me that the material doesn't show sweat - Lorna Jane should get me to test out their clothes because they bloody well do
I'll try the Driclor, thanks. I'll just be very careful.
I'm not bf'ing and i'm not taking any contraception. It was after my period returned because that was quite soon after Georgia was born. The thing is i'm not sweating anymore anywhere else and I wouldn't care about that if I was - it's all part of exercising, it's just the fact that I look loke i've peed myselfand there is no way I am getting up on the stage to teach with everyone laughing at me

Rachel - I don't have a solution but I have a similar problem. I have found I sweat more in the groin area since giving birth. I have just started going back to the gym so I can empathise. Just can't fix it![]()
I bought some Driclor today and also some powder called Prantal which i'll try if I find the Driclor too harsh on my inner thigh (i'm thinking it might hurt if I have a shaving rash).
Thanks girls, i'll let you know how I go![]()
You can actually buy a "feminine deodorant" i think...saw it just yesterday in a Mther and Baby magazine...called something "eve" I think...if it helps - they do talcs and special wipes for it too.
Let me know what you found the best as Im starting back at the gym after I come back from holidays in 2 weeks!

Limeslice - they are for *odour* not to inhibit sweating to my knowledge.
Yep, tried them and it did nothing!
I put the Driclor on last night and it stung a bit but nothing I couldn't handle! Doing Combat and Pump tonight so i'll let you know if it's started working yet!
