Was just wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing what your boobs did after birth LOL (I mean how much they grew, how your post-birth bra size compared to your pg bra size, was there much of a difference in bra size from when your milk came in to when things settled down... if they do settle down?!? etc).
Mine didn't grow much in pregnancy at all, but when my milk came in, they went HUGE and one of my first outings when I came out of hospital was to nip to Target and invest in some big boobie bras (the ones that dropped down for easy BF).
I went up a size and a cup size.
About 4 months into BF they settled down and the bigger bras got roomier, but I still wore them as they were convenient for BF.
Now my boobs have gone back to their old size, despite pregnancy, and I am back in my original size.
I also went up a cup size when my milk came in and for the first month of expressing.
But when I stopped and the milk began to dry up they soon went down back to a B cup... (and were a lot saggier too! )
My boobs didn't grow at all during PG. I was a 16E before I was PG and the whole way through. I had 16F BF bras however, to allow for room when my milk came in, and thank god for that because they were ridiculously large LOL. Since I didn't continue with BF, my boobs returned to their normal size quickly (although I still have breast milk!).
When I got fitted for maternity/BF bras (I went to a specialist shop to seek their advice) they told me that when the milk comes in and before each feed, your boobs will be bigger, but after the feed, they should return to normal size.
Was a 12c, went to a 12GG when preg & did not really get too much bigger once milk came in, just harder!
Fed for 1 week exactly, they are now saggy baggy elephants, back to a 12C! although already a very firm*read tight* fitting 12D!
Im totally interested in everyone's answers to this too - except I would also like to know ... do they still stand up, or flop, or what? And whether or not you think breastfeeding affected them?
mine haven't changed that much - i was an 18DD before & pretty much still am as i find the maternity bras are alot more stretchier than my normal bras.
Well fair enough guys - cant imagine E cups sitting straight out at any time, you'd have all sorts of dilemas!
Hhhhmmm... I guess for me this is the only concern re: having a bub, as DH is quite the "boobs man" (IYKWIM). Not that it would stop me having a bub, but even though I have prepared him for the likelihood of their losing height and perhaps shape (?), I would like to think I have some sort of chance of maintaining something of them!
Good to hear that the vast majority of you remained in the same size bra. Thats reassuring
