Hi - I had an implanon in for just over two years after Caitlin was born and it was a nightmare. I had AF's that lasted 15-19 odd days and by the time I could get an appointment with my doctor to get it taken out, they would stop so I wouldn't bother.

I also went right off sex. We would go without for a month and it wouldn't bother me.

With the depo, it says on the pamphlet that on their 'test' women, some of them took up to two years to conceive again after stopping the injections, thats what put me off that. You're supposed to be fertile the next day after having an implanon taken out, but it took us 11 months to conceive again. (first one took about three months). My cycles were all over the place during that time.

I've had no trouble with the full strength pill in the past, just the remembering to take it part, so I might try my luck with the mini pill after this one is born and then think about something more permanant.
