Yes, this is VERY normal. Mine started when bubs was 3 months old, and fell out with a vengeance, to the point that around my temples/above my ears was nearly bald. I had very long hair so that made it worse - I had to vacuum the bathroom every time I brushed my hair, when I washed it I had clumps come out, poor Makenzie continually had hair tangled around her fingers because she'd grab it and pull it out. She's nearly 9 months and I am still losing hair but not as much. I got so fed up with it though that yesterday I got it chopped off pretty short. She's crawling around the place now so she gets hairs stuck in her fingers and toes coz it's all over the carpet and the stupid vacuum cleaner doesn't pick it up properly.

When I had my haircut yesterday the hairdresser (had never been to her before, was a friend of SIL) asked me did I lose a lot of hair after having Makenzie, as she said I have all new hair growing around my temples and at the sides above my ears. So was good to hear it was growing back.

Not much you can really do about it, if you have long hair keeping it tied back in a ponytail seems to help stop all the hairs falling out everywhere so much.
