AJP, I was told at my 6 week check up that it had all healed up a bit too tightly (I tore and had an episiotomy). I was told that DTD was the best thing to help stretch things but it's been impossible. Hurts too much. It's now 6 months later and I'm finally going to go back and see my OB. I think he will have to re-cut and re-stitch me.

I am going to make myself ring and book in to see him this week or next. I've got to do it! I've got to be brave!

So I know how you feel.

FEE have you tried to stretch it yourself? i have to daily (though i do forget) stretch it with my fingers and ky gel, i also have to use oestrogen cream to help soften it, the OB advised me if they cut the scar i will still end up with a scar, does that make sense? so i have to see how this goes if it doenst improve then they will consider an op which i want to avoid!! good luck keep us posted
