Hi Kell,
I wasn't really that "leaky" sos didn't end up needing anything too absorbent.
I liked the Johnson and Johnson ones, but they are a little pricey. I used washable. They were Tomee Tippee Brand.
Just curious what breast pads people have found to be the best?
I still have some Pigeon ones left from DS but cant remember if it was those or the Johnson & Johnson ones that would stick to my nipple, causing what was already a blistered nipple to bleed.
This time round i just want to be a little prepared on what to use. Whether using washable ones are better or a certain brand of disposables?
TIA!

i like the pigeon ones the best![]()
I love the Johnson and Johnson ones. Wasn't a fan of the Pigeon only because they have plastic backs and don't let it any air through, which made sore nipples much worse. [I]Don't[I] use Rite-Aid- they are awful.
Kell I had the same prob as you..I used both of what you used and found one made my nipples really itchy and they would stick. Like you I have no idea what ones they were.
So far I've been using Rite Aid & haven't had any problems with them. I have a stash of Johnsons & Pigeon ones that I haven't used yet.
For cloth ones I have some Avent ones but I find if my nipples aren't completely dry when I put them on that they stick which can be painful. I also have two pairs of Mazalicious ones which are really great, they don't even feel like you're wearing them.
I tried J & J with both my kids and they ALWAYS stuck - I used Pigeon and stocked up on special as I had huge supply and leaked until 6 months![]()
I just used the cheap ones,woolies/coles/franklins,didn`t have any problems with any of these products, some well known brands are way over priced, and i found that a long as they were comfortable i was happy.
I use Rite Aid because they are heaps cheaper and I've had no problems whatsoever.
Thanks for your replies.
Must have been the J&J that stuck.
Thanks again! All good to know!
Huh?? Why didn't I know Mazalicious made them??!! If I'd known I'd still be using them around the clock at 7 months, I'd have used cloth/reusable from the start. I shudder at how much money I've spent on them.
I've been using Rite Aid too cause they're cheap, but I had to buy J&J the other day and despite the price, I'm liking them, they last waaaaaay longer than the Rite Aid ones. At 7 months though, we're well past the sore nipple stage, so I haven't considered that.
Definitely try cloth breast pads- they are so comfortable and work well- plus you can get funky colours/ materials!
I actually ordered three sets of Mazazlicious breast pads yesterday (thanks Sarah!)
Has anyone had any problems with the cloth ones sticking?
Ummm the Avent ones for me were terrible.
Never had an issue with maz's.
And they are so super soft.
Ooh, will have to order some Mazalicious ones now!
I've bought a couple of boxes of rite aid ones after reading that they are the same as the pigeon ones.
Also have a box of J&J ones as well.
My mum got me some avent ones, and I have a couple of pairs of washable ones given to me when DD was born, but I'm not sure what they are.

Sorry to hijack, but has anyone tried the silicon ones that stick? I think theyre called lilypadz or something?
sneakysparkle, I think there might have been a thread about them before?
Here is one of the threads https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...lily-padz.html
If you do a search a few more might come up
