    Bottlefeeding & Return of Period?

    Hi All

I'd love to receive some feedback from you all, specifically from bottlefeeders, regarding how long it took your period to return post partum.

It's been 6 and a half months since the birth, we bottle fed exclusively from 2 weeks and I'm not pregnant (tested via blood test) and no contraception has been used.

I've seen a doctor and typically the period returns by three months, we are hoping to try for another soon but I've been advised to do nothing at this stage.

So would love to hear from anyone that may have experienced a similiar story - and got their period evetually...

    Cheers!

(btw - accolades to the forum/website and apologies if I haven't put this in the right spot - I'm quite new at all this palaver!)

    Welcome to BB firstly!!

Now after i had my DD1 AF returned soon after. I had post birth bleeding for bit over 10 days...then nothing for about 7 days... then bleeding again for 7-10 days. I assume this was AF as i fell pregnant with DD2 when DD1 was around 6 weeks old.

After DD2 AF returned 6 weeks post birth, i think this was due to BF...but also i swapped to FF after 3 weeks.

Not similar story to yours but wanted to share mine with you. Might help..might not!

I have just got mine back at almost 5 months after bubs birth and i breastfed till 6 weeks. Its quite a different cycle this time though much longer than normal.
I did have a couple of d and c's after the birth as well.
