Where is God's place in your world?

I mean where is God's place?

On the way home, I drove past a church which had a sign out front saying to something to the effect of… “are you on the route to God’s place?” I’m assuming that it’s Church. In Islam, we can do a 5x daily pray anywhere, where it is safe to do so, incl. on the street corner. God’s place is everywhere IMO and in Islam and that you don’t have to go to a mosque to pray or recite prayers.
What do you believe? Is it only in a church/temple etc…?

Wow you're in a deep mood today TD.

I am a lapsed Catholic, but having said that I find comfort in going into a church to pray. Something about the silence. For me personally, I'm on a journey to find my religious feet during this depression journey I'm on. I find, most often, peace and harmony in nature, in watching the sunlight turn a tree gold in the late afternoon, in a bird singing to his mate, to a cat licking his companion. For me, that's where God (or Goddesses) are.

Everywhere - although I do appreciate any place that is made special by the prayers and spiritual practice...I have had amazing experiences in temples, churches, and naturally occuring sacred places.

My guess is that the sign meant heaven. But to me, God's place is everywhere - these are some lyrics from a Third Day song that is called, funnily enough, You're Everywhere -
    Your're everywhere
    Like the rain that's falling
    Your're everywhere
    Like the wind that's blowing
    Your're everywhere
Like the sun that's on my face
I feel the warmth in Your embrace
    Your are everywhere
I think that sums it up for me.

I see Jehovah everywhere, as His creation is all around me. I pray to Him wherever I am, and whenever I want to talk to Him. But I also feel that it is important to regularly attend our church meetings, as I know His holy spirit is there too, and He uses that time to give me and extra boost. Many a time I have been exhausted or in pain, and I've pushed myself to go when I really would prefer to stay in bed - and I always leave feeling on top of the world

I think everywhere. I know there are places where I feel closer to God, but that is more about me and where I have learned to be still and create space for me to take notice.

Maybe they meant 'gods place' being 'heaven'. As in, are your actions taking your in the direction of 'heaven'.
