Why is karma often described as a female dog?

The saying really doesn't have a lot to do with spiritual concepts IMO. It's more a way of people gloating that someone has (in their opinion) just gotten their just desserts. It's a corruption of the concept to express something completely non-spiritual.

Karma itself is the way the soul/spirit of a person learns about duality, so that they can finally learn about unity/oneness.

On a completely off topic non philosophical input... I have a female dog whose name is Karma :-) We called her that because she found us and stayed with us, and we considered her good Karma :-)

The way i see it that is only said when someone has been nasty to another and a person will say "don't worry karma's a b****" Not all karma just karma that the person who has been nasty is going to get back IYKWIM?
