I am so sorry for your loss; I too lost my daughter Laila on the 15th November 2007. I had a clock work pregnancy and was over due by a couple of days when her movement slowed. When the nurse told me they couldn't hear her heart beat I didn't believe her, I kept on thinking they'd made a mistake. Right up until the moment she was born I thought she would be alive, but there was not a sound, she was born sleeping peacefully. I still struggle to come to terms with what could have been, I still cry and while the pain will never go away it becomes easier to deal with. It was found that she bleed over 200mls of blood into my body, which in turn caused me to develop rhesus disease (as I have negative blood and she was positive). Rh disease made my 2nd pregnancy difficult, but not impossible. I waited 2 years before trying again and I now have a 12month old boy who is the light of my life. Nothing will ever heal the hole in my heart left by the loss of Laila and although my son will never meet his sister she will always be a part of his life.
I felt compelled to write as your story reminded me of mine.
Kristalee - I am so saddened but also filled with such a sense of love and strength after reading your blog, about your recounting of the birth of your precious angel Lola and your struggles with grief and bereavment in an attempt to live a life in honour of Lola. She would be proud.
I am so sorry for your heartache, but inspired by your determination. Thanks for sharing.
Have to admit it was Emmas response( Emma, I am sorry for your pain too) that first caught my attention, and when I first read your entry on BB I was pretty confused about time frames. I worked it out in the end.
