my first pg took us 12 mths of trying ended in ectopic at 7 weeks, 2nd pg took us 5 cycles ended in a s/b @ 21 weeks, 3rd pg took us 17mths TTC ended at 7 weeks m/c, 4th pg 3 cycles TTC ended at 10 weeks m/c my 5th pg finally brought me joy and beautiful boy, unfortunalty my 6th pg has also ended in m/c @ 7 weeks

this is a facvourite saying of mine and I hope you find some comfort in it as well

Frankly, if the truth be known, I think God has singled me out for a special treatment. I think God meant for me to build a thirst for a child so strong and so deep that when that baby is finally placed in my arms, it will be the longest, coolest, most refreshing drink I've ever known.

Rach75 thanks for sharing your story and im so happy to hear that you have a beautiful baby boy.
Your quote is very moving and bought tears to my eyes. It's true that I feel like God has singled me out but he only knows why it has to hurt so much.
Good luck with your journey for number 2.
    xx Mel

    Mel,

I'm so sorry for your losses.

If your doctor has put you on heparin which is a blood thinner that suggests he found something that causes blood clots. Some examples are Factor V Leiden and antiphospholipid syndrome, both can cause recurrent miscarriages. These are simple blood tests. I would ask him if he's done a full blood work-up and what the results were. If it's one of these then your chances of success on treatment are very good.

If you want anymore info on these let me know, I did a lot of research after our son was stillborn a couple of months ago (I have blood issues).

I hope you can get the answers you need,

    Love Rozzie

My love I am so sorry to read your story - and sad for your goodbye babies...

I have had 3 1st trimester losses and 3 second trimester losses on the journey to hold my 5th Earth Baby Imogen in my arms. ( & Rach I hear your quote and I too know what that cool drink tastes like)

We have a sticky here on recurrent miscarriage and it's causes. The causes are many and sometimes we never know. I researched until I needed glasses and researched at night instead of sleeping - I decided on leaving no stone unturned. It wasn't going to beat me.

I decided I have an autoimmune condition and then the doctors also decided I was right!
I commenced on prednisolone (steroid) and clexane (blood thinning drug) and low dose asprin. This did the trick for me. My daughter Imogen was born at 28 weeks and it was terrifying. I still believe had I remained on prednsisone and not weaned off it that I would not have got sick and therefore had Immy early...

But that' s by the wayside. I will include the link to our recurrent loss info thread for you to have a little read. You will find some info I have put together HERE

Wishing you all the luck in the world my love...

Thanks Flowerchild and Rozzie for your posts.
Flowerchild im sorry to hear about your 6 angels but very happy to know that you have had success with Imogen (such a pretty name too..)
I haven't had any blood work done. My Ob put me on baby asprin right after my 2nd miscarriage and then Clexane injections once we found out we were pregnant again. I think he just assumed the law of averages and put me on the Clexane injections as a "guess". Maybe the wrong guess?? by the look of it as I still miscarried.
Up until now I haven't done any major research although I did some googling after the last loss.
Flowerchild it's funny that you mention that you decided that you had autoimmune problem as I remember when I came across this condition in my googling and I just had a funny feeling (an intuition if you like) that it was my problem.
I need to look into it further but am thinking of going to a speciaslist at Sydney IVF by the name of Dr Gavin Sacks who may be able to help me further.
    Thanks again guys,
    M
