Dory I just wanted to clarify first that I haven't had an epidural. I was left in stirrups for about 12 hours with DS but I hadn't had an epidural. It was easier to leave me their I guess as I only had a midwife and a student doctor for his delivery and I hardly seen either of them the whole time.

But yes c-section does scare me. I was totally against epidural for the first 3 births until I was in labour with DS, since then my opinion has changed slightly in that if I am in as much pain this time, I would want the option of epidural. I just don't like the fact that your pretty much paralysed while using it.

I really want to try for water birth, as I feel strongly that the water will help so much with the discomfort of my hips etc. I have read through the policy which is in place for SA in regards to waterbirth and unless I go into labour before 37 weeks, they should really have no reason to refuse it. They may try to talk me out of it because of the pelvic thing or because of our last pregnancy etc. My pelvic pain is not as bad now. I am still limited in movement, and I just have to accept that I cannot walk around at the shops, or walk down the street etc at the moment. I have DH to help me with the chair when I have to go out anywhere, but I am getting around the house ok at the moment, short burst here and there anyway. I just have to be sensible and not do to much. I have been keeping up with the pain relief too so that I am not in as much pain during the night, but I have also made a massive effort to get through my initial coughing fit and sleep on my back rather than my side. I think the only thing that the doctors could say to keep me out of the bath is how efficient I am at being able to get in and out of the bath, which shouldn't be too much of a problem I hope. I struggle with steps at the moment, but if I can keep improving in the next few weeks and not do anything to stress my hips to much between now and then, well, hopefully it will be ok.

I have been having heaps of BH contractions lately. last night I was having them a lot, a little less today. I notice they come more often when I am in the car too.

Been getting some more things sorted out in the house today with DH and Eldest DD help. Again though, trying to take it easy and not over do it. We have finally set out the bedrooms how we want them so bub will be sharing with middle DD eventually. We put the bassinet in our room now, and I am slowly getting organised to pack bags etc.

Oh here comes another BH now! I don't remember having this many BH with the other 3.

I am going to have a bath tonight as I am allowed to take the tape of my back tonight
